SO turns out if you get corrective surgery for flat feet, you should probably most likely definitely get new shoes and some specialized soles (Like Dr. Sholls, they're actually pretty good). I learned this after walking on the edge of my foot for a nearly a YEAR because my old shoes were forcing me into a habit, since they were shaped like how my feet used to be and not how they were, aka pressed down arches.
So uhhhh.... Yeah, new feet, new shoes. Holy fuck, getting new shoes helps so much
