snippet of druig x (f)superpowered!reader i have in my head ; tho honestly i had an oc in mind while writing this

“does my queen have a harem i can join?” druig says, a languid smile on his lips, his eyes never once waver from yours. “or perhaps, does this lowly one have a chance to stand next to you as a king?”

his eyes, you note, have a certain heat to them that makes your heart beat just a touch faster.

you frown, eyes cold - indifferent. your hands not once shake from the hold you have on your sword; pointed just a centimetre away from his neck.

“is he always like this?” you direct the question to the rest of the eternals - eyes not looking away from the man, who’s stance is relaxed, almost carefree in a way that speaks much of his capabilities.

you would be impressed if you weren’t so infuriated with him. such audacity, you think, tightening your grip on the handle of your sword - for him to flirt with you mere minutes after attempting to gain access to your mind.

he failed, of course. your shields firmly in place - this wasn’t your first time meeting someone attempting to brainwash you, much less mind read you - his attempt in contrast to your past experiences was laughably easy to flick away; but that didn’t lessen your ire.

you so hate mind tricks.

the other eternals, on the otherhand, was blind sided - not by your strength, though thena was of course, impressed by your brief show of prowess - but by druig’s behavior.

no, is the answer to your question, no - druig wasn’t ever like this, is the thing.

who knew, makari thinks, amused, eyes tracking the genuine - and not to mention, smitten - smile on his face; eyes all but yelling the start of a blooming love. that druig would be the type to fall victim to love at first sight.

idea dump for druig x (f)eternal!reader

i love the idea of a protective druig, and i’m itching for more. so, how about here we have a sensitive reader and a druig who hates to see her cry and get hurt.

how about a reader who can control sound—which makes her sensitive to loud noises (just like dolores in encanto) and a druig who’d cover her ears when it gets too much, when she gets too overwhelmed. whisks her away to some secluded space, quiet and safe and just the two of them. her in between his legs, face pressed to his chest, his warm hands over her ears, only hearing the soft thump, thump of his heart.

protective and loving druig, but only to her. only ever for her.

sensitive reader who cries at seeing humans fight and wage war against each other, who tears up at seeing her family—her druig—hurt, at seeing humans die, at the sound of their hearts stopping.

druig who holds her throughout it all.
