my hag romance murder mystery au turning to magistrate astarion working with executor shri’iia we kind of like that development

#why I never considered their past jobs kinda worked well together LOL #like she technically was her matriarch’s executor with the way she hunted people down and all #and he’d be sending rando and poor people to death for their crimes bc god knows if he was fair and had honor #in this au he does not bc he’s indebted to cazador (he’s not a vamp tho that’ll b too easy for a murder mystery)#like hag romance working together to solve the murders themselves then when they’re done they give the findings to whoever is formally in #charge of solving it then disappearing 👍 I also want a scenario where they’re both using each other for their own means as in #shri’iia needs him to take her back down the underdark bc she dk where to go but then she learns that she wasn’t supposed to survive this #mission anyway so she’s like 🧍‍♀️ well I’ll figure that out later #astarion wanted to either frame her or use her against cazador so he can be free and run away #mid way he changes her plans bc Uh Oh there’s Feelings Involved #either mid way or later down the line I haven’t decided yet. but whatever they do in the end kind of ‘frees’ them from both their conflicts #they end up running away together 👍 live ur best life queens #I’m also hmm stuck on what exactly astarion is indebted for like it has to be something drastic and he’d be desperate to rely on cazador #(though I’m thinking that cazador set up the whole scheme and he just got played - which parallels shri’iia getting bamboozled too)#when ur charlatans who have 8 int 🧍‍♀️#but basically astarion when he sentences someone instead of sending them to the gallows he sends them to cazador to be ‘reformed’ but then #they end up disappearing from the plane of existence. so he’s like trafficking people 🧍‍♀️ but then I’m like idk what would’ve happened for #him to do something so drastic and actually go through with doing It and multiple times Too hmm #we’re still brainstorming …

i finished five broken blades

#and.....six of crows has yet to be topped #it's funny how every time a pair of unlikely people have to be paired up for a dangerous mission it's alwayssss compared to soc #and the comparison just never holds up #i am so baffled that this is an adult book bc the writing style was incredibly juvenile. very repetitive. a lot of telling not showing #six of crows had better character work By Far. i really felt who each of those characters were. and i felt how they bonded over time #in this book it was like. there's a bubbly quirky girl and the author's attempts at making her so made me cringe #it was very heavy handed #i could see what she wanted each character to be like but the execution was just not it #there was a part halfway through after they all finally met up where something happened and they had to work together to save someone #and in each character's pov it was just like 'they'd killed and lied for each other' 'they were family beyond blood'#and i was like ??? that's it???? idk i never felt them growing closer to each other. it's like the author relied more on telling us rather #than showing it #and then the romance..... don't get me started on the romance it was so poorly done almost like insta-love???#there was just no time for the feelings to develop it happened so quickly #i wasn't impressed at all #and like. i guess my main problem is too much showing not enough telling #'i can't trust her' 'i can't trust him' 'no one around me can be trusted'#it was so repetitive like okay i get it!!! but i wanted to Feel it. i wanted to feel the messiness and ugliness of this distrust #'we killed and bled for one another'👍🆗#when they all met with each other halfway through i got excited like yessss it's going to be ugly and nasty now i need them to be Messy #esp since this is an adult book i was really looking forward to new levels of debauchery but it was So tame and vanilla????#sure they killed people but nothing was even remotely close to the level of when kaz plucked out that guy's eyeball :(#that was vicious. we all still remember that. i expected that in this book but no....#can't believe six of crows is ya and it's superior to this supposedly adult book #let me list the good things though. it ws a super fast read at 500 pages #and i had no problem distinguishing the 6 povs from each other #and the climax was thrilling my heart pounded all throughout

so i'm going on a short trip tomorrow and mostly out of curiosity (of course...) i asked my cards how it's gonna be

#and the energy i got overall for the reading was so weird... like of bunch of accidents will happen & my guides will protecf me every time #it reminded me of the movie baby's day out in which this baby is kidnapped but then they manage to lose him #so he literally travels the whole city somehow in all fours while being in danger the whole time yet he has no idea #baby bink is just having fun!!#now i don't even know what to think but i'll just go to sleep and cross my fingers hoping its going to be ok👍

simply did not draw anything let alone pylons today! but i did practice my 'if you feel wretched go in the garden' skill and it worked, so still a victory (:

#tomorrow i was meant to go to the garden centre with a family member but being as i kept this as a secret plan and did not communicate #this plan with them. it has fallen through i think :P i will actually ask in the morning because perhaps people will be around and #want to hang out with meeeee but if not! mystery day i guess!#i'm trying plan small nice things to remind myself that good things can happen in summer to try to recover from the horrors of #last summer (undiagnosed heart condition + Heat™ leaving me borderline crying on the ground every day for months alone at home 👍)#but it's a work in progress :P Definitely much braver already which is neat! Nice to practice skills and learn them! but not Brave™ yet :P

my bg3 run has been pretty fun so far cause a couple of my major encounters haven ended up with powerful bosses with good loot thats certainly stored on their person being flung into a chasm. im not even joking abt it being fun. ive only reloaded to stop it from happening ONCE cause i wanted a cunty outfit. the other times ive shrimply let stand cause its so fucking funny. minthara? chasm. the hag? chasm. its the funniest way for a big scary boss to die.

#also i disnt talk to any of the leaders at the goblin camp #except grandma #gut. the proestess. piestess gut. talked to her n then wyll was like. 'dont listen just kill her' n dirge was like '👍'#also i JUST realized dirge hasnt broken his oath yet? for sure thought he was gonna but naur #A LITTLE disappointed cause its the only thang he has #only thing he has for himself. and he was full ready to give it up for astarions sake but it didnt happen. mmmaybe cause it wasnt a formal #deal? contract? who knows.#thought bubbles
