Anyone else just so emotionally devastated in both the best and worst way after todays episode?
Like "Do you... do you think we're gonna make it?" "Around that campfire, did it matter?" "...No" was so heart-wrenching and moving
but recontextualized to "do you think we'll be able to continue our story?" "did you enjoy the story you did make?" "yeah" as a way of saying It Was About The Journey Not The Destination has me sobbing uncontrollably

Adding my own hat into the ring and I'm so sorry to be a toxic inniter but the dsmp was written by 3 dozen amateurs who refused to communicate behind the scenes. Which is gonna cause some inconsistencies, especially in the bigger storylines with more creators, and especially when those creators (who were, again, minecraft streamers with little to no writing experience) (not their fault) didn't put much thought into creating a story with a beginning, middle, and end.
Going into season 2, the majority of what Tommy did was done with a very small cast of characters at any given time (with Dream, with Tubbo and Ranboo, with Wilbur and Quackity, for example). He worked with a lot of people, but for different aspects of his character that he could separate from each other. The problem isn't when people try to make themselves the main character (that's how multi-perspective stories work), it's in knowing where you sit within other people's stories, which Tommy had a good grasp of. Along with this, Tommy already had experience with live theatre and an interest in writing. And you can tell, because his story was consistent and very well developed for a 16yo. Was it flawless? No, nobody's was. It was a passion project done over quarantine by a group of teens and young adults. But out of all the creators on that server, Tom is the one who went on to write a play, ykwim? So like, maybe his character was popular for a reason

I have a bad habit of never finishing writing I start - I work hard on a story, make it to 3/4 of the way through, then lose passion for it and start something else. I know the key to overcoming this is discipline, and I’m trying very hard to make myself keep going with my current story that I like very much and spent so much time researching and outlining, but it’s a struggle every day to make my writing goal. Any advice for how to re-ignite writing spark or how to push through to the end?
We can lose our drive to write for a lot of reasons. It often indicates a growing maturity as an artist — you understand the craft better and your own (current) limitations better, and so you begin to feel overwhelmed in a way you didn’t before. It can also be that external anxieties are getting in the way or simply that you’ve lost interest in your current project.
Hope is not lost. Read on for some tips on reclaiming your writing spark.
Shift gears
Sometimes, all you need to reignite your writing spark is to engage your brain in a different way. If you’re struggling with your novel, take a break and try writing a poem or a piece of flash fiction. Or, you could try drawing sketches of your characters, a map of your story’s world, or some possible outfits for your climactic battle scene (it doesn’t have to be good. No one’s going to see it).
The trick is to stay creative but to approach your work from a different angle.
Change location
If you’ve been trying and failing to write at your desk, surrounded by crumpled up dreams drafts and last week’s candy wrappers, you may be suffering from an environment with stagnant energy. Try taking yourself on a writer’s date: go to a location that fits the tone of the project you’re working on (lux hotel lobby, seedy theatre bar, the wilds of a nearby park), and see if that gets your creative wheels turning.
Dress [in]appropriately
In Writing Down the Bones, Natalie Goldberg has a chapter called “Blue Lipstick and a Cigarette Hanging Out Your Mouth”. By this she meant, “Use outfits and props to step outside yourself and get a new perspective”. You might find it helpful to have a special “writer’s sweater” that you only wear when you’re writing or to dress like someone confident and cool enough to smash writer’s block in the face.
Do some soul-searching
What’s really going on here? If the above tricks aren’t doing it for you, there may be some bigger issues at play that are inhibiting you from connecting to your writing spark.
Write letters
I’ve written about the restorative powers of letter writing before, and I’ll mention it again: handwritten letters are a great way to get the words flowing. You don’t actually have to send them when you’re done (although you can if you want to); the recipient doesn’t even need to exist. Simply by putting your thoughts down in a low-risk way, you’re unclogging your creative pipes.
Join a writing group
There’s power and accountability in numbers. You can find writing groups online, through community centres and writers centres, or by sticking a flyer up in a bookshop and starting your own. There’s even a Novlr writing community on Discord where we share tips, struggles, and just generally talk craft! By inviting other people into your writing practice, you’ll have some support and encouragement to keep you going.
Find your writing spark with writing prompts
The internet is awash with writing prompts. These can be a helpful way to get something down on paper and stretch out your writing muscles. Whether it’s a premise, an opening line, or a character study, writing prompts can give you a gentle, creative push and even inspire new work.
Experiment with found structure
If writing a traditional story feels like pulling out your own teeth, try a found structure story. This means using fictional “found material” like shopping lists, calendars, to-do lists, ticket stubs, banking records, and so forth to create a narrative.
Here’s an example: Imagine a week in which a bride-to-be prepares for her glorious wedding, is left at the altar, rages in misery, and ultimately emerges healthier and stronger. Now, write her shopping list for each day of that week. How does it change from beginning to end? How much emotional detail can you communicate to the reader through the items that appear on these lists? This can be a fun way to create a story without the anxiety of writing it.
Set a petty life goal
I am a proud champion of the value of pettiness as a motivator. There are plenty of noble reasons to write: to share powerful stories, to help readers in need of healing, to inspire others to write stories themselves, and to draw attention to important social issues or minority identities.
There are also some really inane and selfish reasons to write: to become more famous than your ex, to appear on TV and make your ex regret everything they’ve ever done to you, to have your book made into a movie and receive casting consultation rights and pitch your favourite actor in the lead role and allow them to take you for coffee as a thank you. But the thing is… these are the motivations that are really going to pull you out of the dirt when you need it most. Find the silly driving goal that really gets under your skin and hold onto it for dear life.
Forgive yourself
Many writers experience a lot of shame when they aren’t writing as much as they feel they should. Needless to say, this shame only makes the writing harder. Allow yourself the space to take some time when you need it, process your struggles, and return when you’re ready. The page will be waiting when you get back.

ATTENTION KIRBY FANS!
Do you want to see a Kirby movie more than anything, but Nintendo keeps letting you down? Well, today's your lucky day! I'm in the process of creating my very own, fanmade Kirby movie based off of Star Allies - and I'd like your help. I believe that with the efforts of a community coming together to work on this passion project and give something that we love our all, it will turn out better than anything official that they could come out with. Overall, while this project is serious to me and something that I am very dedicated to, I also want it to be fun and for everybody to have a good time creating this art together. If you do decide to jump on and help, there's no need to worry about deadlines or stress or needing to have a ton of skill. But, without further ado....
Animators
I'm looking for people that have experience working in Blender here. Pretty much any skill level is okay, though I will still request that you show me some sort of example (just to verify that you know how the application works at all, basically). Ideally I'd like to have enough people working on this that I could step back from leading the animation, eventually, and focus fully on writing/storyboarding and other design aspects instead - but I understand that this might be unrealistic.
Storyboarding
The more the merrier! Regardless of the level of your art skill or your style, if you can sketch out scenes in a way that's decipherable to others, you're more than welcome here.
Voice Acting
The big one. Voice actors for Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Bandana Waddle Dee would be very much appreciated. I also have a longer list of characters that need voices that includes many of the Dream Friends, Hyness, the Mage Sisters, and more. This is the one thing I will likely be a little picky on, and require you to audition for the role.
Writers
Honestly, I'm not looking for many other writers right now. I think I have it mostly under control, but I could possibly take one or two co-writers on with me.
Sound Effects/Miscellaneous
Do you think you have something to bring to the table that I didn't list before? Great, this is for you! Let me know what you want to do, and honestly, I doubt I'll have any reason to turn you away. Whether it's stitching music and effects together, editing extra graphics, or literally whatever you think will be helpful, tell me so that I can get you in.
Community
If none of that sounds like something you'd be interested in, well, you can still do something to help. Just stick around here! Throughout development I'll be posting updates, questions, and polls about decisions on this blog for you to influence. I want this to be something that the community creates together and can enjoy together. By us, for us, you know? And everyone who wants to deserves to be involved.
- Closing -
If you made it this far, thanks for reading! This blog will likely be changing a lot in the upcoming days as I update and personalize it to be more effective. I also now have a discord server! Anyways, though, the long and short of it is that I'd love to work on this with other people but I will complete it, no matter what. So this is your official guarantee - sometime, in the indiscriminate future, you will have a Kirby movie. And I hope you enjoy it just as much as I'll enjoy making it, because honestly, this is just my dream. I hope I see you around, and have a great day!
progress as of 1/13/25: the cast list has been mostly filled! we have the trailer scripted and storyboarded, working on models and rigs.

Hi Hi! I love your blog! The way you write speaks to me so well ✨ Any chance you could do some more 11th house planets specifically Neptune and Uranus? I noticed they're both not there and I have an 11th house stellium 🙈 totally okay if you're busy but would love your opinions on it 🩷 much love
Hello love, thank you so much for loving my blog! I have already posted that Uranus placement analysis, here it is.
Neptune in the 11th house
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These natives are very intuitive and empathetic in their social relationships of all kinds, deeply feeling the emotions and needs of their friends or members of any group to which they belong, often offering emotional support and understanding. It is because of this that their friends tend to see them as reliable and empathetic advisors. They may have deep spiritual connections with their friends, they may even feel karmic bonds or predestined relationships quite often. These people have a strong sense of friendship, enormous devotion and respect for those who give them this title. It is likely that at some point in their life they will make the mistake of trusting someone they shouldn't, and may feel that they took advantage of their trust. They seek deep and meaningful connections with their friends and groups, since they do not settle for superficial relationships and seek to share transformative and meaningful experiences. These people have the ease to solve issues of other people, however, they may struggle with handling their own. Many times their friends can see them as people who have supported and guided them on a path towards a better mindset or life in general, since these natives not only will seek to encourage, support and make their friends feel accepted and loved just as they are, but they will make them see in themselves someone capable of achieving big things by making them turn their dreams in something tangible and real.
These natives stand out for being idea machines, with this placement their creativity increases by mixing it with originality, giving them the ability to create amazing things. They dream big and really love to fantasize about the future, they can even spend a lot of time daydreaming. It is very likely that they have artistic interests and hobbies and, in addition to that, enormous talent regarding them. They choose to experiment, try new ways of doing things and above all, not have a scheme or demand too much of themselves. Here we find people who hate tension in any form, choosing to prefer environments where they feel tranquility and peace from doing the things they like most. They reject unnecessary conflict and will easily walk away from anything that brings chaos and discomfort into their lives. These natives dream of a better world, some may decide to have a job in which they help others or contribute positively to society, many others have the way of thinking that, although they cannot completely change the world, they can contribute even a little, and they will do it without hesitation.
These people have a knack for inspiring others, an effect that can lead them to attract people who admire them either for a trait or talent. It is very likely that people place high expectations on them or idealize them in some way. They value working for a cause and a purpose, they will never be in a job for which they do not feel that passion and dedication. Many of them, despite being great friends, may prefer to take refuge from issues or problems by isolating themselves. They are those types of people who try to be reliable for others but hardly feel that there are people who are reliable for them. They may enjoy spending a lot of time on social networks or doing their hobbies, losing track of time. They may be able to earn money through jobs or projects that involve humanitarian, spiritual, charitable causes, creative or artistic activities. These natives have no difficulty working as a team and will always seek to help and support other members. They are very sensitive to the energies of others and can easily feel the vibrations of the environments they are in, so it is normal that after a while socializing they need a moment alone to recharge their batteries.

Can I make a platonic request of Charlie with a human reader that was sent to hell without dying motivating and encouraging her to keep following her dreams no matter what anyone says or what happens when she is down?
Tumblr media
ℌ𝔢𝔩𝔩’𝔰 ℌ𝔞𝔳𝔢𝔫
A/N: You absolutely can!! I love my girl Charlie—she reminds me of Emma from TPN! Anyways, I hope you don’t mind me putting in a dream that the reader has, I wasn’t sure what to do since you hadn’t specified (but it’s trouble, don’t worry!)
Word Count: 1.1k
TW: None really, unless you count being in Hell?
Reader is gender neutral!
Tumblr media
The world around you was a kaleidoscope of crimson and shadow, an eerie dance of flame and darkness. You never imagined you’d end up here—Hell—without so much as dying. There was no dramatic accident, no tragic ending to your life. One moment, you were walking home, and the next, the ground beneath you gave way to this bizarre, otherworldly landscape. Confusion quickly gave way to fear, and fear to despair. You felt lost, utterly and completely. Until she showed up.
♡⋅˚₊‧ ୨☀️୧ ‧₊˚ ⋅♡
Charlie Morningstar was unlike anyone you had ever met, in any realm of existence. Her cheerful demeanor stood in stark contrast to the grim surroundings, as if she refused to let Hell itself dim her light. Her golden hair practically glowed, and her warm smile carried a sense of hope that felt out of place—yet so welcome—in this desolate place. She found you huddled near a crumbling wall, knees pulled to your chest, staring into the void. Instead of walking past like so many others, she sat beside you, her presence both comforting and curious.
“Hi there,” she said, her voice as soothing as a lullaby. “Rough day?”
You laughed bitterly, wiping at your tear-streaked face. “You could say that. I’m not even supposed to be here.”
Charlie tilted her head, a flicker of concern crossing her features. “Not supposed to be in Hell? That’s... unusual.”
“Tell me about it,” you muttered. “One second, I’m walking home from work. The next, I’m here. I don’t even know why.”
“Well,” she said, her smile returning, “we’ll figure it out. But for now, how about we get you somewhere safe?”
You hesitated. You didn’t know her, didn’t know if you could trust her. But something about her felt genuine, like she truly cared. Reluctantly, you nodded, and she helped you to your feet. From that moment on, your life—or whatever this existence was—began to change.
Charlie brought you to the Hazbin Hotel, her grand but somewhat shabby project to rehabilitate sinners and give them a chance at redemption. You weren’t a sinner, but you still felt out of place. The hotel was a strange haven in this chaotic realm, filled with all manner of colorful and bizarre characters. At first, you kept to yourself, unsure of your place in this odd community. But Charlie wouldn’t let you retreat into your shell.
She had a way of drawing you out, her enthusiasm infectious. She’d invite you to join her in decorating the lobby, brainstorming ideas for the hotel, or simply talking over cups of tea. She wanted to know everything about you—your dreams, your passions, your fears. It was disarming, how much she cared.
♡⋅˚₊‧ ୨☀️୧ ‧₊˚ ⋅♡
One evening, as the two of you sat on the hotel’s rooftop, looking out over the sprawling chaos of Hell, you finally opened up. “I used to have dreams,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. “Big ones. I wanted to be an artist, to create something that would inspire people. But... it felt like the world was against me. No one believed in me, and eventually, I stopped believing in myself.”
Charlie’s expression softened, her crimson eyes filled with understanding. “That sounds really hard. But you know what? Dreams don’t die just because others can’t see them. They’re still inside you, waiting for you to pick them back up.”
You looked at her, skeptical. “Easy for you to say. You’re a princess. You’ve probably never had people tell you you’re not good enough.”
She laughed, a soft, self-deprecating sound. “Oh, you’d be surprised. My whole life, people have doubted me. They think my dream of rehabilitating sinners is ridiculous, that it’ll never work. But I keep going because I believe it’s worth it. And I believe you’re worth it too.”
Her words struck a chord deep within you. For so long, you’d let the voices of doubt drown out your own. But here was Charlie, in the literal depths of Hell, refusing to give up on her vision. If she could keep fighting for her dreams, maybe you could too.
From that night on, Charlie became your biggest cheerleader. She encouraged you to pick up a pencil again, to let your creativity flow. At first, it was just doodles, small sketches on scraps of paper. But as the days turned into weeks, you began to find your rhythm again. The hotel’s walls soon became adorned with your art, transforming the space into a gallery of hope and beauty. The other residents took notice, and for the first time in a long time, you felt seen.
Whenever doubt crept back in, Charlie was there to chase it away. “Your art is incredible,” she’d say, her enthusiasm unwavering. “Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. And don’t stop just because it’s hard. The best things in life usually are.”
Her belief in you became a lifeline, pulling you out of the darkness you’d been drowning in. Slowly but surely, you began to believe in yourself again. And in turn, you found ways to support Charlie in her mission. You designed posters and banners for the hotel, turning it into a place that truly felt welcoming. Together, you created something that stood as a beacon of hope in a realm defined by despair.
♡⋅˚₊‧ ୨☀️୧ ‧₊˚ ⋅♡
One day, as you worked on a mural in the lobby, Charlie approached you, her usual cheerful energy tempered by something more serious. “You know,” she began, “you’re not just helping me with the hotel. You’re inspiring everyone here. Your art, your determination—it’s contagious. You’re making a difference.”
Her words brought tears to your eyes. For so long, you’d felt like your dreams didn’t matter, like you didn’t matter. But here, in the unlikeliest of places, you’d found purpose and belonging. And it was all thanks to Charlie.
“Thank you,” you said, your voice trembling. “For everything. I don’t know where I’d be without you.”
She smiled, her eyes shining with warmth. “You’d be right where you are now. Because the strength you needed was always inside you. I just helped you see it.”
In that moment, you realized just how much Charlie had given you. Not just a place to stay, but a reason to keep going. A reminder that even in the darkest of places, there’s still light to be found. And as you looked at her, you made a silent vow to never let that light go out—not in her, and not in yourself.
Hell might have been the last place you expected to find yourself, but it turned out to be the first place where you truly found yourself. And with Charlie by your side, you knew you could face anything. Together, you were unstoppable—two dreamers refusing to let the world, or Hell itself, stand in their way.

North Node in Aries & South Node in Libra🌅
🎸The North Node in Aries will invoke acceleration, innovation, passion, and drive. Aries is about being centered in yourself as opposed to paying attention to the other. You will work on your energy, personality, appearance. Everything related to you. Aries during this period of much needed growth and awareness. The South Node in Libra represents alignment, justice, and collaboration. Libra will bring up codependent themes in regards to keeping the peace. The least you can do is be aware you’re being challenged in your close relationships. With aries it is about embrace your individuality. Take risks and be adventurous. Stand up for yourself and assert your needs. Pursue new beginnings and assert your individuality. Take charge of your life and make decisions independently. There can also be an urge to compete with others. With libra-Reevaluating relationships and partnerships. Recognizing the need to create balance and harmony. Learning to compromise and cooperate.
🍓More focus on the physical side of the earthly experience and the physical body itself. More energy, more physical energy. More courage in people and personally. Search and desire for more adrenaline. For libra and aries this will be a good period and a lot of changes. You can get into relationship, get married, meet new people, start your own business, improve your personality, appearance.
🫧 It all depends on how big your house is in your chart(sometimes it can happen that the north node is in some house longer than in others).
🍓Aries rising your north node will be in your 1st house- this means that there will be a lot of progress regarding your personality and appearance. Maybe you will change your view and start looking at things differently. Maybe you will start to focus more on yourself and start to realize who you are. It can represent the beginning of a major identity shift.
🧸Taurus rising your north node will be in your 12th house- this means that you will start to be more in touch with your subconscious. This is an incredibly active time for psychic messages and symbols to come through in your waking life and dreams, so pay attention. You may become more aware of any limiting beliefs or habits that you’re also ready to release.
🌙Gemini rising your north node will be in your 11th house- it means that you will start to be more social and you will start to have fun with people and friends. New people who enter your life right now may spark the potential for a long-lasting friendship. People in your network may connect you with someone who could help bring about some of your dreams. You may also feel inspired to pursue a new idea.
☀️Cancer rising your north node will be in your 10th house- a lot will be related to your career, work, public identity (if you have a company, things can change there or you can start your own company). You will think a lot about what you can improve and what suits you. You’re gaining others’ attention and respect in some significant way. You may also be starting a new role or major project in your career.
🪂Leo rising your north node will be in your 9th house- you can start with a new religion, a spiritual view, a spiritual journey, you can also travel a lot or become more interested in another culture. This can also mean that you will start learning a new language or something related to foreign countries. You may be planning a trip that can change your life or engage in a life-altering conversation. You may also be ready to share some of your expertise with the world through broadcasting, publishing, or podcasting.
🧘🏽‍♀️Virgo rising your north node will be in your 8th house- this is all about the relationship, intimacy ,secrets ,the truth, inheritance, other people's money, deep feelings( no one talks about the fact that this house is connected with how deeply you feel your relationships with others and how important they are to you). You can start to think more deeply about how you see relationships and what you really want deep inside (what would loyalty mean to you and what is it that you deeply want from someone). This is also a cathartic and healing time, inviting you to release pieces of your past, fears, or anxieties that hold you back.
🩷Libra rising your north node will be in your 7th house- it will be related to the relationships you have with others, the relationship in general. You can meet a lot of new people, you can enter into a new relationship. If you are already in a relationship, something can change. People who enter your life around this time may feel karmic or fated. If you are releasing an old connection, trust that destiny will bring a more aligned person into your life in due time. This can also mean that you start working on what you want in terms of beauty things.
🦋Scorpio rising your north node will be in your 6th house- means that your routine change. That the job you work in goes in a different direction or you find something new. This is the house of work (which means you can find something that really makes you happy). In general, your entire lifestyle can change.
🪴Sagittarius rising your north node will be in your 5th house-You will start to look more at what you like to do, what makes you happy, look for your hobbies, you will be more creative and work on projects. You may finally begin a passion project you’ve dreamed about for a long time. This can also mean that your love life will improve and you will be able to go on more dates or have an affair. You’re ready to express and experience your truest desires.
⭐️Capricorn rising your north node will be in your 4th house- it can be related to your family, home, changing things. You may be feeling more nostalgic under this eclipse and ready to acknowledge and release dynamics, memories, or generational patterns. This can also coincide with a fresh start in your living environment or mark a new beginning with certain family members. You must first make peace with the past in some way.
🌠Aquarius rising your north node will be in your 3rd house- it has to do with communication, thoughts, expression, social networks, relatives. Self-expression will bring clarity and relief. Conversations that take place around this time will feel fated and destined. You will think much more about things, what is really important to you and what is not. The thinking of others will be more important to you. You can decide to work on something new and different. Relationships with friends can be important at this time.
🎆Pisces rising your north node will be in your 2nd house- major changes in the way you earn money begin to unfold. Making a big purchase around this time can feel life-changing in some way. You can start appreciating yourself more and enjoying the things you really like. You will want to enjoy comfort and really pay attention to what comfort really means to you.

I feel like my artist career might be nearly over.
Now mind you, not because I'm burnt out, or because of some kind of controversy, but entirely because I don't know how much longer I can keep trying to push forward with it.
I don't hate my art, I don't even dislike it. It's my passion, and I want my entire life to be a life or creating art and telling stories.
I love sharing what I create with the world and I love having support from my fanbase.
But as of right now, I just can't get anyone noticing anything I do.
I've been working on a video game for almost a full year now, have gameplay footage I've shown, sprite animations, story I've shown off, characters I've been drawing and describing and giving backstories, and I get like 20 notes tops on anything I post.
I do streams for an average of 5 viewers every Monday and Wednesday and Friday. 5 viewers.
I have had a fundraiser to get me out of California because I can't afford to live here, I'm disabled, and I have a 75yo mother and an autistic brother I'm trying to get out of here too, and I barely scraped together $3000 of donations over the last year.
I pour my heart and soul into music that I've been writing and I'm met with backlash or people flat out ignoring the songs I post because people say my lyrics I write aren't worthy of notice or a paycheck. Soundcloud outright denied my ability to monetize my music. Completely. I am no longer able to request monetization.
The state of California has spent the last 15 years denying my attempts to get SSI, state disability, any kind of social security for my rheumatoid arthritis, and I even got told by a disability lawyer that they had to decline my case because I don't take medication for my disability. When I told them I don't have medical insurance because I don't qualify for MediCAL, they said that isn't their problem.
I watch other artists with 170,000 followers on Twitter bashing me and saying I don't deserve my fanbase for reasons they're just making up, and when I try to defend myself they just bash me harder and block me while I'm over on Twitter with like 300 followers and not getting noticed by anyone.
I reach out to my friends to get retweets, reblogs, etc. and I get nothing. No help, no love, after literal years of me promoting them and doing multistreams with them and collabs with them to help them get noticed.
I've even been blocked by multiple friends of mine when I asked if they wanted to partner up for projects. Really! Blocked! Outright blocked because people want so badly to get away from me!
I am literally starving. I'm currently eating stale sourdough bread that my mom made 2 weeks ago because it's all we have in the house.
I'm sitting here suffering constantly and when I ask people if they wanna like do a collab or do an art trade they always tell me they don't have time, and then the next day I see them post 6-7 art trades they did with another artist.
I make fan-art or fan-music for my artist friends and they just completely ignore it.
I am planning to rework my Patreon into a game dev Patreon to help support my solo development on Melodi, and I guarantee with certainty it won't breach $300 a month.
I have spent my entire life from age 11 to age 35 just working hard to make a living off of my art and all I have earned is a reputation as "a shithead" who never gets given the opportunity to question or debate or be interviewed by the people who call me a shithead.
I'm on the verge of fizzling out.
I'm barely surviving.
And when my game comes out, some day, it may very well be the last thing you ever see from me. I may just leave the internet. I may give up and go find another life to live.
Because even though this is my dream, even though this is all I've ever wanted to do with my life, even though I'm talented and my few fans I still have love everything I make and constantly tell me that my creations are gorgeous, I just plain can't keep doing this forever. I cannot, and will not, continue to suffer alone and obscure.
Case in point: This post is gonna get 2-6 comments from the same people who comment on all my emotional posts saying "I wish I could help but I can't so here's a virtual hug," 16-25 likes and 2 reblogs. And then I'll delete the post.

Wooing a dreamboat's grave in "Lisa Frankenstein"
Tumblr media
Warning! Spoilers! If you’re my type of person, then you likely relate to a scene in ‘Lisa Frankenstein” where Lisa (Kathryn Newton) steps awkwardly into a party and immediately recoils in disinterest at its prospects: Normies, popular people, jocks, bad jokes and even worse conversation. Awash in a sea of coddled conformity and vanilla personalities, Lisa wants to disappear. And she does – via a drink spiked with PCP and its vile consequences.
The scene is in stark contrast to an earlier one, which establishes Lisa as a romantic goth whose happy place is to sit beneath the handsome bust of an expired hottie’s grave and read poetry to it. Dead or not, Lisa is in deep with the dead. Her comfort zone isn’t with people. Hell, it’s not even amongst the living. All she needs is the fantasy of a cute guy – pulse be damned. For many teen girls, dead celebrities make for the perfect untainted crush: Kurt Cobain, Heath Ledger, Brittany Murphy, Tupac, River Phoenix, Elliott Smith Aaliyah, James Dean, Jeff Buckley, Anton Yelchin. For decades (hell, probably centuries), teen girls have been able to project their fantasies onto the pin-ups of the formerly living – the more tragic, the better. Dead celebrities can’t age, make gross missteps, or date someone you hate. As a result, they can never disappoint you or let you down. They simply remain beautiful and idealised – a butterfly pinned within a frame. “Lisa Frankenstein” takes this fantasy to the ideal next level. Lisa’s wooing of a corpse and her unbridled passion for him is so gigantic it’s almost a cosmic event. Sure, it’s the lightning bolt of a storm that wakes The Creature (Cole Sprouse). But to anybody who’s ever swooned so hard that their heart has felt big enough to swallow the whole universe, there’s an obvious truth: Lisa’s love was so electric that it woke the dead.
Stories rarely allow women to not only fantasise in this way but to take the opportunity to make their fantasy flesh. There are countless stories about lonely, misunderstood, and horny men who see their most potent sexual and romantic dream babes conjured into a living, breathing fuck machine: “Weird Science”, “Ex Machina”... “Splice” (though, good grief, how I wish that last one didn’t go there). While other movies like “Poor Things” and “Frankenhooker” approach this tale from a perspective that pokes holes in such tropes and empowers the object of affection, such a story nonetheless persists. Outside of an episode of “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” where Sabrina uses a dubious ‘Man Dough’ recipe from her chronically single aunts to create a date for the dance, I’m stumped as to recall any others. (Since I know you’re intrigued, Sabrina adds too much enthusiasm into the mix, and a supremely cute but overly perky Brian Austin Green pops out of the oven like a young Nick Cage on “Wogan”. He’s no Harvey Kinkle, that’s for sure). In “Lisa Frankenstein”, our titular heroine very actively indulges her romantic and sexual feelings toward The Creature. Tongueless and speechless throughout the film, Sprouse’s character exists solely for Lisa’s gratification. As she helps rebuild and restore him to the living, she also restores herself. Previously, Lisa, too, had developed reactive mutism following the murder of her mother. But with The Creature, she confidently begins to get her voice back – even if she does use it to enthusiastically encourage the occasional cold-blooded murder (hey, nobody’s perfect).
By the end, it’s just like my boy Nietsche says: She who fucks a monster might take care lest she become a monster. Except Lisa’s pretty okay with having the abyss gaze back into her. That abyss is her happy place, and that monster is her boo. This is the place where poetry becomes born into flesh and blood, creating the cutest boy she could have ever hoped to have sewn a severed penis onto. A place where love – even the mere fantasy of it – is all a person needs to sustain them. Pulse be damned.

Eats your Stardew Valley Elliott art
anyways! Ive seen barely anyone do this but what do you think Elliotts’ backstory is? Like what’s his relationship with his parents? You can draw and/or write it if you want :)
(i crave angsty backstory for Elliott…because I love him…)
Please, feast away! It brings me so much happiness that people are enjoying my Stardew Valley art so much! I usually make my own personal art, so dabbling in a little fan art and it going so well is very appreciated.(also all the nice comments and tags, those fuel me and make me go forward each day)
But for the main part of the ask, it takes so much for my little writer self to not just go hog wild and re-create characters who I get attached to. I have a love hate relationship with this, but it's very easy to do with Stardew characters because they are all so blank slate, those little buddies can be what ever you want because they are the perfect level of lovable yet bland. As for Elliott, yeah I'm a little more on the angsty side of backstory for him, partially from some dialogue and partially from some projecting, haha.
I am not the worlds best writer(despite the fact that it's technically what I do) so I apologize if any of this is a bit rough or odd sounding :P I also feel odd about writing and sharing backstories for already made characters as a creative myself, so this might also be a bit awkwardly worded on my end as well. So just a little heads up before my rambling thoughts below.
So I've always read him as no longer connected to his family due to his passions and actually following them. He's distanced himself from most people in his past, some intentionally and some outside of his control, to try and become who he actually wants to be. I feel like before he came to Stardew Valley he was working his ass off by not gracefully juggling both a job and trying to write at the same time, probably developed some bad habits during those times to cope. He tries to not show it and mask but being kind and welcoming(sometimes overly so if in a rough spot), he has too much ego to let others know he's not doing well chasing his dreams. After moving to Stardew Valley he's started to do a bit better but he's even more of a starving artist because he's just living off savings, most of which he used to buy the cabin. Man's got a male living space by slight necessity but plays it off as being a minimalist. Also no idea where I would place this otherwise, but he gives me the vibe that he has a more public facing persona where he's more flowery and puts on a slight voice, while in reality he's just a dude(still poetic tho, he can't stop that, theater kid vibes).
Ironically trying to not make him too much like my character Elliot. Both of these men are my current stress toys and I am throwing them around so much in my mind.
Tumblr media
Ah! Thank you so much for this ask, it was a wonderful distraction for my night! I love answering stuff and getting to get my thoughts out of my head somehow. They are quite loud in there so I'm pleased to have them out and about now. This likely isn't everything but my brain works in such scattered and anxious ways that I am not sure. Thank you again!

i think i saw you talk about picayune a bit on your twitter! i was wondering about it if you’re willing to give your thoughts. i heard it was similar to that one game that’s called the void rains upon her heart, at least from a friend of mine.
Tumblr media
hi anonymous; although i say i could gush about it: i mostly said everything i:d want to on the twitter already, but yeah: i love it, it:s a sneaky "top game of the year" for me, i think, and is one of those passion-projects (?) that just feels as though it carries with it a-lot of love for game design and just the act of creating games; i:d put it like this: i really enjoy survivors-type games because they:re dopamine-traps that just give me skinners-box gratification when i:m struggling to get through a day, but as a genre the games are very formulaic and usually seem like they:re 1) cynically made because the formula is hot + can make some easy cash for little effort since the game-design aspect is just laid out like clean providence 2) made a little more earnestly but usually for a developer as an exercise which happens to also be probably decently lucrative -- and both of these prior points lead to pretty stale experiences, but dopamine-trap experiences that i like all-the-same, as-well: due to me just not having a lot of money outside of my weekly grocery budget, i don:t really let myself spend money on non-grocery things, so: looking @ picayune dreams i was hit with this mix of "this looks awesome" and "i know this formula and the gloss is just going to be another stale 100% achievement grind that:ll eat up my time but leave me mad at myself for wasting $5 when i need groceries" -- but it had a demo, and (happily) the demo betrayed my cynicism and just oozed with sincerity on behalf of the developers, so: i bought it.
it:s a very good blend of shmup/bullet-hell type gameplay and the standard survivors-genre, and although i don:t think it:s the best gameplay in either genre, the experience as one whole is executed perfectly for what it is: it unfolds and never seems lazy in its effort or gameplay; the obtuse mechanics are fun to figure out; the story segments (while super iterative of yume nikki type rpgmaker stuff) have this razor-sharp conciseness for the vibe it wants you to feel that i really enjoy (it reminds me of scientology, archangel:nemesis in a weird way: because the breadth of the plot centers around being selected to save a humanity that is trapped down here on earth, sort-of indifferent to your mission -- and i think it creates this plot really beautifully despite using very little words or demanding a lot of your time (<- this point here is key for me, cause i have northernlion syndrome of nearly no-longer having patience for games that want me to stare at some story for a long time, or hit you with tutorials before gameplay, or whatever: picayune dreams just goes and trusts you to figure it out)).
i haven:t played it much lately, cause (if it had one fault, which is more just my user-experience than the devs) the runs can get to be longer than i have patience for (you can loop and at this point you:re getting close to an hour run), so i end up self-destructing when i get bored;
i:d encourage anyone to give the demo a try, or just look at the steam-page and take in the art direction -- it:s a game that probably won:t let you down if it even /slightly/ looks interesting to you, & i still feel a rush of goosebumps when the final song comes in during the last boss; it:s just solid (void rains upon her heart is another one of these great games for me but i 100%'d it earlier in the year and have just been waiting for the dev to add more content; that:s another game that i think more people should give love to because it blends shmup+roguelite formula better than any other attempt i:ve played and also never really let my expectations as a player down as i trusted it to unfold with content and excitement -- because that:s what i like about this trend of roguelite/meta-progression in games: games that use these are like constantly wanting to award you with more because it:s like they are just so eager to spend time with you and don:t want to let you down (at the least cynical)).
at the moment though i:m just playing DCSS cause i:m back in a "everything feels pretty dull and colorless at the moment" spell -- but again: that:s why i love stuff like picayune dreams and sci-fi harry; occasionally stuff surprises you with its love, its passion, and you can:t help but let yourself be affected, and i like being affected.
take care.

Get to Know Your Moots Writeblr Interview
Was poked by the wonderful co-writers of Sunset @sunset-a-story and @touloserlautrec. Go read their posts here and here!
On the Tumblr Writing Community
How long have you had your writing Tumblr/Writeblr? A short eternity (first post is mid 2022)
What led you to create it? Was very bored at work and wanted to share some recent stories. Also I had never tried social media before, it this looked like the most interesting place to try it.
What’s your favorite thing about the Writeblr community? Getting to see other people's imagination unfiltered. I've read plenty of great works before, but it was definitely an entertaining first to see the author later publicly say "this is my favorite little guy, can't wait till the next time he suffers."
What’s one thing you’d like your mutuals to know about you? I constantly feel like I'm bothering people and or feel self conscious when talking about me/my stuff, so bare with me hah.
Is there anything you’d like to see more of on your dash? Just some really unhinged stuff about y'alls stories. I want to open my phone and see someone discussing the seven major heresies dictated by some cabal of priests only to later realize "oh, this is someone's fever dream, not a history lesson".
What tips/advice do you have for someone who made a Writeblr today? Interact more, take up the offer of "open tags" on other people's posts. Also throw your ideas onto the table for other's to look at, we all seem to love just watching someone go off about something they love.
WIP it Good
Which Works-in-Progress (WIPs) or writing projects are you noodling about, lately? Been in a bit of a writing drought. Lexical is always getting worked on, more so the TTRPG stuff than any story right now though. I've had a few projects pop into my mind and leave over the past while. Have a cluster of characters I can't get out of my head, but no narrative or setting to properly put them into. A god of violence and the man that cut her out of himself, a cultish vampire philosopher and his favorite little guy (little guy has a knife). Surely something will come of this, or they'll continue to just exist in one-off stories in my own head. Amber Hill, specifically The Lawman, is still somewhere in here but it's been struggling to come out for a while. Been trying to find Lars' voice as a POV character.
How long have you been working on them? I've been working on something based in Lexical since mid 2022 (huh, exactly around I first posted here); the other guys are new and only a few months old at most.
Do you remember what inspired them/what got you started? Lexical is a can of worms. The short answer is that my irl DnD group wanted to play something more free form and creative leaning than what our 5e campaign was allowing, so I said fuck it and started homebrewing a system based in a world I have vague ideas about. The long answer is that Lexical is a sequel to a Pathfinder campaign titled "Demis", which was about fantasy super heroes. It was heavily inspired by My Hero, Worm, and inescapably Homestuck. So when it came time to make a whole new system for these same players I took some concepts that worked in Demis, applied some occult-adjacent philosophy I was/am into, and ended up with my years long passion project. Atem and Sadaf were born out of my growing need to explore violence as a concept, philosophy, and inescapable existential crisis. The Vampire and his thrall Ish spawned out of a desire to have a toxic romance to think about. And AmberHill was inspired by a desire to create something cozy and occulty. Ended up being SCP adjacent but maintained the idea of a small community that cares about itself.
How much time, in your best estimation, do you spend thinking about them? Lexical- not enough, I'm lucky I have at least some productive thoughts throughout the day. Atem- too much, his tired ass sat down in my head and I've been too polite to ask him to leave.
When someone asks the dreaded, “What do you write about,” question, what do you usually say? "Urban Fantasy with science fiction elements"
What do you want to say (if it’s different from what you do say)? "My dissertation on the semi-real building blocks of both physical and social reality, also wizards punching people."
Let’s Rotate Blorbos
Name any characters you created. We've got the original Lexical boy Samuel Smith, Atem and Sadaf who you've already heard of, Lars DuPont from Amberhill.
Who’s the most unhinged? Sadaf.
Who comes the most naturally for you to write? For whatever reason Samuel's self-loathing PI perspective just comes very natural and is maybe someone I should write more about.
Do you ever cringe at them? Nah
How much control do you feel you have over your characters? Depends, my mind does not wonder so much that I don't feel like I am ever not in control. But who I am able to focus on tends to be a matter of debate.
Do you enjoy people asking questions about your characters? Yes absolutely. Characters, worlds, magic systems; I'll rant about any of them given the chance.
On Writeblr Engagement
What makes you want to follow another Writeblr account? A combination of preferred genre (urban fantasy), shared interest (books/games/table top). Also if they have Scribe as part of their name it's just an auto follow.
Do your mutuals’ characters occupy space in your noodle? There's a few. The telepaths from Sunset and their many ways of being terrifying are the first that come to mind. Since I already mentioned the scribes I'll go ahead and tag @scribe-cas , @covenscribe and leave the rest of the tag open. Here is an empty template

My RWA Students Part 6
Paige Skyheart:
Tumblr media
Paige is an *extremely* driven and passionate pyromancer who always has some sort of scheme and/or project going on. Paige is the kind of person who cares very deeply about everything that's going on always, and is also the kind of person who is intrinsically motivated enough to do something about it, regardless of how hard it might be.
Basically, if she sees something she considers a problem or wants to change, it WILL get changed whether you all like it or not. Consequently, she's the head of like, every activity committee ever, has her fingers in all the pies, and has made a lot of NOTICEABLE changes to Ravenwood by the time of the YW is around. Included in this list of accomplishments:
Working to make sure there are instruction tomes for everything, since Ravenwood was getting an increasing number of transplant students
Helping Amber to develop the school paper
Helping Jax to get through the bureaucracy and resources needed to create teleporter hubs
Unionizing the student workers and apprentices like the Pet Shoppe Boys and the West Ende Girls so that they were guaranteed reasonable hours and pay
Helping to introduce and integrate the monstrology program
Bugging Ambrose about advertising the electives better until he hired Abby K. Doodle to make her *shut up.*
Establishing more exhange and scholarship programs (which Penny actually took advantage of!)
She's also determined to become class valedictorian, even if it means she has to outstudy Seth. . .by listening to Seth. Dammit.
Paige is also really confident, to the point it comes off as cocky. But while she could definitely afford a few slices of humble pie, Paige isn't actually that egotistical or overconfident. She is actually super capable and skilled, she's just not *quite* as capable and skilled as she thinks she is, and she's DEFINITELY a bit of an asshole about it. Basically, she's good and she knows it, and it does go to her head a little bit.
While most people find her kind of insufferable, she's also a hopeless brown-noser, so teachers and adults who are susceptible to that have a soft spot and a blind spot for her.
The Skyhearts, while not exhorbitantly wealthy or old money, are rich, and Paige is determined to use every cent to fulfill her dreams of a better world. Between her money, her determination, and her social clout, she's also able to help her friends do basically whatever they want. She's planning on investing Claire's dream start-up, funded the graduation spiral tour, is single-handedly keeping Saylor from getting expelled via bribery, and so on and so forth. If her friends have a project or a problem of any kind, they know to come to her with it and she'll find a way to make it work.
It takes a very particular kind of person to tolerate Paige for extended periods of time, and every one of her friends embodies an archetype:
Nice enough to put up with her: Claire
Too stressed to be bothered by rude people: Seth
Too oblivious to notice her attitude: Jax
Too chill to care: Saylor
Socially awkward enough to be comforted by her unapologetic personality: Amber
Actively enjoys that she pisses other people off: Vigilance
Oh, Claire is also her girlfriend, and she's fucking obsessed with Claire. They're best friends, they spend all their time together, and everyone is really confused how this incredibly irritating and domineering person managed to snag the sunshine cinnamon roll child, but it's literally just because Saylor hucked them in a room together, and Paige went "Okay! I like her! I like her a lot! So much that getting a good grade in being her girlfriend is going to be my new project!" And if there's one thing Paige excels at, it's a *project*

music diary day one - Hong Kong Rocks
Tumblr media
today is christmas, so as a small gif to myself, i thought i'd start a small passion project (whatever you wanna call it) of mine; a blog dedicated to my music. for as long as i can remember, music has been such an amazing part of my life, influencing many of my thoughts, emotions, sometimes even actions. i think music is one of the purest forms of art, and in this blog, i want to show people new music and even help others find maybe a new appreciation for it.
today, i find myself hyperfixated on a demo by an artist i've loved for a long time; Grausamkeit, B.S.o.D, or Heroin Makes Happy, as his name is in this project.
Heroin Makes Happy is a dungeon synth/dark ambient side project created by Andreas Bettinger in 1999, and would be one of the few projects of his that completely shyed away from any sort of guitars; simply drums and synths. The demo/album i'm focusing on today, as it's one of, if not, my favorite from this project, is Hong Kong Rocks. Hong Kong Rocks was released in 1999, the same year Heroin Makes Happy was formed, and consists of 10 untitled songs, which includes 3 bonus tracks.
personally, favorite tracks of mine would include Untitled IV, Untitled VII, and Bonus Song II. of course, i think the whole demo itself is phenomenal. andreas' fast drumming goes perfectly with the paranoia-inducing janky synths which give a feeling of loathing boosted by the low production quality and the overall morbid feeling of the name of the story itself. it's honestly even better when you know andreas' full story; it's really such a unique tape, especially for it being from the late 90s. something about this entire demo just gives me the greatest, most unique feeling of unease, dragged on by bettinger's relentless growling, hateful vocals.
overall, i give this album a perfect 10/10, there was absolutely no track on it i found myself to dislike; everything goes together in its own unique way, and listening to the whole thing at once and really, really focusing on it, just feels like the best fever dream (or worse, depending on your stance). Heroin Makes Happy is one of my favorite projects of all time by bettinger; i love almost every release he's put out under this name. i'm glad to know i can come back here and rate his tracks pretty much anytime i want to.

Building Community Through Art: Lessons from Creative Changemakers
Polina Orlova
As a Clinical Psychology Master's student, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this class when I joined. I knew only that I wanted to explore how art is used in practical, community-centered ways and understand the kind of drive it takes for artists to work collaboratively. What I have gained from this experience has far exceeded my expectations. I’ve been introduced to a range of artists from diverse disciplines who have discovered topics they are passionate about and devoted a significant part of their lives to pursuing.
Meeting Mia was especially impactful. She brought art into prisons, creating a sense of community within these closed-off spaces. Mia was remarkably honest about her work—it requires a great deal of time, dedication, and support, especially as accessing a prison isn’t easy and relies on a network of volunteers. Witnessing the murals she created alongside inmates was powerful; her work transformed a typically harsh environment into one that feels warm and welcoming, a stark contrast to the usual prison atmosphere. Our hour-long session making murals together became an unforgettable bonding experience for all involved.
Our next session introduced us to Leia from the Broadway Advocacy Coalition. This was my first time witnessing theater being used as a form of activism, and I found it truly inspiring. Leia stressed the importance of involving people who are directly affected by the issues in active roles throughout the process. She emphasized that “no project is more important than a person,” a sentiment that deeply resonated with me as a psychology student. Like her, we focus on keeping people at the heart of our work.
Meeting Clare from Cartie was equally inspiring, as she demonstrated how a simple idea can blossom into a substantial project. Clare shared the tremendous amount of effort required to coordinate with multiple schools—all while completing her PhD. Her diligence and caring spirit were obvious, and her work showed just how much can be accomplished with a single bus. Clare’s story has motivated me to continue pushing for my own dreams, regardless of how challenging they may seem.
Each week, I’ve also felt deeply impacted by the class environment. As a shy person, I’ve truly appreciated the atmosphere of openness and support. Everyone is kind, collaborative, and highly creative. Hearing my classmates’ unique perspectives, shaped by their varied backgrounds, has made me feel like we are part of a small yet powerful community—something I haven’t experienced in any other class. Marissa and Ayelet have done a remarkable job curating this experience, fostering a space that promotes growth, knowledge, and community.

Note
Hi ferrymansam, my name is Mal, I have been a VERY HUGE fan of your work.. I've commented on What Lies at the Bottom on AO3 under the username aesopcarle and when I said nothing will ever top your fanfiction, I MEAN IT.. You replied to me and I haven't responded to your reply since even tho i really wanted to especially considering the fact I did not keep my promise to compliment your work for a day more T_T but i want you to know that i enjoy it so much!!
I go to an art school and in July we need to create some kind of project to put in our portfolio. I dealt with a lot of uncertainty, and lately I've not had sufficient inspiration to create something I'm really passionate about. But I am very, very passionate about What Lies at the Bottom..
I've written about you a couple of times, be it in my diary, or wherever. I've CRIED about you at least two times. I've met other people who have read your story on Asia server eng 1. I'm going to go to the love lock bridge and put me and chapter nine's names on a padlock.
I'm a tremendously big fan, and if I could please have your permission to make a fangame or fan animation out of your work I would be so grateful!! Most of the credits will of course go to you, and if I get any profit out of it, I'll do my best to transfer what I can, but I'm afraid of the difference in out countries (I'm Indonesian)
Thank you so much for your time and consideration and I look forward to making this come true 🙏
I’m almost at a loss for words for how insanely happy this message made me. I never thought I’d create something that someone enjoyed so intensely and thoroughly, which has always been a dream of mine that I didn’t think I had a chance of coming true until I reached a wider audience.
The fact that I’ve reached this with my silly little fanfiction has honestly astonished me, and I cannot impress upon you enough that this story wouldn’t have been complete without your enthusiasm and support. You have my full permission to create any kind of fan work you’d like, and please send it to me if you do! It might literally make me cry /pos
I feel like no words will truly ever be enough to thank you. This is one of the sweetest things someone has said about something I’ve created, and I’ll probably come back to this message if I ever have writer’s block it makes me so happy. I have trouble completing things, and this fic was a rare instance that I felt compelled to do so, and I’m so very glad I did. I wish nothing but love for you, and I am so glad to have created something you loved so much!!
In tears, In the most positive way, thank you.
