Isuka certainly hadn't been expecting to see the revolutionary here. She was off-duty after all, and wearing civilian clothing. How had he found where she'd been staying? And how long had he been waiting here for her to show up?

She glances about momentarily. Their conversation shouldn't be interrupted or listened in on here, at least. Looking back to him with an eyebrow raised, she takes a seat opposite and folds her arms upon the table.

"How the hell did you find me?" She inquires, though she can't help the faintly amused smile creeping onto her features. "Have you been spying on me, Flame Emperor?"

Our second question is for Isuka and it comes from @/PiratePlunderOP on Twitter! She is quite proud of The Nailer epiteth nickname she has earned, and in reference to Fire Fist? Isuka doesn't back down in her chase of him. On a side note, she's willing to concede that Kotatsu is indeed cute, despite him being a pirate.

Isuka wasn't sure how the infamous captain had managed to get this far without being recognised, but it didn't matter. He was here, and it was her duty to protect this base.

Her gaze drops briefly to his hand as it is placed upon the hilt of his own blade, and she tenses. She knew that she couldn't win a fight against an Emperor, but she couldn't let him go unchallenged either.

"And you shouldn't have come here." She retorts, eyes narrowing. His easy-going nature reminded her of someone else she'd known, and it irritated her how people like him could act so nonchalant whilst facing the Marines.

"Leave now and nobody has to get hurt, Red Hair."

• future captian of spade pirates 2.0 • freckles, hair on slight wavy side • tattoo on her left arm, tattoo is of a pale red spade w/ a large flame & the letter A in the center. the A is made of nails. the tattoo is tribute to both her parents, the nails cause isuka’s called ‘the nailer’ and the flame cause ace is the meramera user, and her intial ‘A’. • she happens upon the yuki-yuki no mi differently depending on which verse, but both verses it’s sometime after the punkhazard arc. (in one verse she finds it as young as 4 and in another as old as 7 or 8) • she also always finds it while being young, and thus is given a sea-stone (prism?) bracelet that mostly just blocks its power til she’s old enough to safely learn to use the powers. • she is as much of a trouble maker as her father was when he was a kid, just minus the anger issues.  • both her parents are stubborn s o  she is too • she has potential for Conquer’s Haki. and this is purely because so far in the series, theres a lot of evidence that at least the first born child of someone that has Conquer’s Haki will also have it. (parent/child examples: roger & ace, big mom & katakuri, dragon & luffy, ect... | eldest child with unknown parents: boa)

I don’t have an excuse for this I just wanted to draw Isuka in armor

Isuka pauses before clenching her fists, an embarrassed frown overtaking her features. "—That's not what I meant and you know it!" She huffs, but there was no salvaging this blunder. The look on his face said it all.

She did admire his determination to follow this childhood goal of his. She had her own mission, after all - to rescue people from pirates and make sure that no child had to go through what she did. She also admired his dedication to his comrades, pirates though they may be. As a Marine however, she couldn't just stand idly by. It was her duty to apprehend criminals - and even if she didn't entirely see @flambace as one - the World Government did.

The comment and the wink that followed earn him a scoff and an eyeroll from the Ensign, even as her cheeks turn a flustered red. Regardless, she stands tall - as tall as she could, anyway - and plants her hands on her hips, breaking into a determined grin.

"You know I can't just turn a blind eye while you chase your dreams. You leave me no choice! I guess I'll just have to keep pursuing you until that day, Fire Fist."

❝  oh  ,  so  you  do  think  i'm  great  ,  huh  ?  ❞  ace  couldn't  help  but  notice  what  she  said.  in  this  conversation  ,  he  has  a  small  victory.  his  brows  wiggled  and  his  powerful  arms  wrapped  across  his  chest.  after  all  ,  @kugiuchi  had  been  correct.  many  captains  spoke  of  the  fictitious  glory  they  could  only  imagine.  many  had  yet  to  meet  even  the  most  harsh  conditions  imposed  by  mother  sea.  ace  had  just  recently  discovered  them  ,  so  basking  in  the  rays  of  glory  was  foolish  for  him.

in  answer  ,  his  arms  shrugged.  he  then  chuckled  softly  and  shook  his  head.  ❝  it's  too  early  for  me  to  take  any  greatness  for  myself.  y'know  ,  i  have  a  goal.  a  dream  i  was  growin'  up  with  as  a  kid.  i  have  no  intention  of  squanderin'  my  opportunity  ,  and  as  captain  ,  i  ain't  gonna  squander  my  crew's  faith.  isuka  ,  i  have  a  long  path  ahead  of  me.  and  it's  not  goin'  to  end  up  in  jail.  ❞ 

the  fire  fist  smiled  at  her  ,  his  hands  slipping  into  the  pockets  of  his  shorts.  he  made  a  pledge  to  himself  and  his  brothers.  ace  always  kept  his  promises.  "promise  ,  once  i'll  be  a  legend  ,  then  you  can  try  to  get  me  cuffed."  a  wink  was  all  ace  could  offer  her  at  the  moment.
