This feels right. Powers, wings, regeneration; even though the [NULL] command still isn't totally restored, it's nice for Uzi to be able to sort through her own code without seeing the BLOCKED BY USER: [UNKNOWN] popping up when she tries to do cool stuff. That's really all it takes for her to side with NULL (didn't even think about the names matching!), a couple of cool gifts and a middle finger raised towards the Island Stars. Call her shallow, but eh. She's in high school, what do you expect?

All she's gotta do is keep the cables intact. No one told her if it had to be all of them or not, but she's taken up post inside one of the underground parts of the city, where a thick length of rubber and wiring snakes its way through the dirt. And the best part about being a drone is that she can do this all day, literally.

Perched upon a rocky outcropping, Uzi watches the only way in or out of her chosen station. It's only a matter of time before something happens, right? In the meantime she's playing Bubble Bobble.

Wait, there's footsteps. Time to get to work.

With a wave of her hand, a chunk of rebar dislodges itself from the wall and sails through the air, embedding itself in the floor right in front of the new arrival. "You're good there!" calls Uzi, not descending. "Right where I can see you, yeah? Don't want you getting any ideas!"

Hold on, she recognizes this one. "Oh, hey Jersey! Sorry about almost turning you into a kebab. Just kinda a hectic time. Can't be sure who you can trust, right?"

Uzi hates sitting around doing nothing. If there's even the smallest chance that allying with NULL or GPU or whatever means she can get out of here and back to Copper 9, she'll take it. "There's not really anything to ask. Pretty clear-cut, if you ask me. Either we sit around doing nothing and definitely stay in Spirale, or we listen to the new guys and maybe get to leave. So maybe you're comfortable in this little rut they've dug for us..."

Two rings of light appear at Uzi's fingertips; amber on one hand, and violet on the other. "But I'm not."

That was cool, right? That felt sick, like monologuing to your rival before you kick their ass. While the Solver can't interact with like-objects, humans and other organics don't have that luxury. Uzi can end this before NJ even knows what's happening with a quick Scale command, the same thing she'd seen Doll to do some of their classmates at that bloody prom. And she totally will!

She'll do it! Just a really simple wave of her hand! Squish her before she even realizes what's happening, it's probably painless!

Probably.

But Uzi... doesn't really want to kill anyone. Not unless they've tried to kill her first, and NJ's only mentioned wanting to destroy the cable. "Ugh, you had to make this all difficult. Whatever." Uzi gestures towards the wall, and another chunk of stone and metal lurches into her telekinetic grasp. "Fine, we'll do it your way, then. But don't say I didn't warn you."

Rotate. Translate. It's pretty second-nature now. A piece of the wall flies out at NJ, followed closely by a second. Uzi doesn't come down from her perch, no point in exposing herself, but she does keep her other hand ready in case Jersey decides to fire whatever weapon she has at the exposed tubing.

"Damn you really don't know how to mince your words do ya'? Cut me some slack before you start going all "I'll sweep the floor with you!". But then again I guess I should've expected that from someone like you. Gung ho act first ask questions later right?"

A motto she often lived by constantly. Even now she summoned out her rigging as NJ looked back towards Uzi, the inevitable battle between them escalating by the second. Really she didn't want to fight the drone but neither the Stars nor the other side were really giving the BB much of a choice in the matter. Playing neutral was just stupid when both sides seemed to really want to push their own narrative.

"You'd be right though. I'm here to blow this baby sky high with or without ya' getting in the way. Trust me Uzi, I hate the Stars at much as you do. But are you really about to believe some people that just showed up randomly one day and say "Hey, Do this!"? Stupid as it sounded coming from her. After all NJ was the idiot months prior who would've just fired her cannon right into the sky just to prove a point.

"But you said it not me, monologuing is pretty pointless ain't it? Just wanted to give you the last chance before I aim my little baby right toooowards the tubing and get this done with."

"No, IFF doesn't come standard in worker drones," she snorts. "We're meant to lift crates and die in mine shafts, so- shocker!- they didn't feel like installing military-grade software into us. Besides, it was a warning shot. Wasn't gonna hit you anyways."

Even if she doesn't have a suite of sensors like a disassembly drone might, Uzi's low-light vision is pretty good. Was it always like that? Don't think about it. Instead, she crawls forward until her legs dangle over the ledge. New Jersey's nice enough, but the situation's got Uzi on edge and she can't be sure if a former acquaintance could be a current enemy- No, enemy isn't the right word for it. Whatever happens here, Uzi doesn't really want to hold any grudges.

"No trouble here. But it is a war, isn't it? That's the point, get everyone fighting each other because the Stars and GPU are too pussy to do it themselves, or whatever. Just bribe the poor saps living here, because what else can we do?" She sighs, glancing up at the giant tube that she's tasked herself with guarding. "Well, I know for sure that there's no way in hell I'm doing nothing."

Uzi rises to her feet and extends her wings, looking down at Jersey. Even in the low light, her own position is easily traceable thanks to her visor-eyes, but she knows it. "Fun as a monologue is, I figure you didn't come here for that. If you're with NULL, I don't need help, so you're good to find your own place. If you're with the Stars... You should just go. Hate to get all power-scaley on you, but you'll just be embarrassing yourself."

"A kebab? Damn Uzi don't you have one of those friend or foe sensors up there!? Not that it matters too much since you already almost stabbed me."

Still if she was on one side and NJ was on another a fight would've certainly broken out. How it actually ended was anyone's guess especially if one side didn't want ruin whatever they had going on. But the battleship was still getting her bearings in hopes to find out the "good and evil" side, even if she could make a few guesses as to who fit firmly into the sides. Her slight longstanding hatred to the Stars didn't help but something just seemed off.

Call it the "Black Dragon's Intuition" on sudden third parties entering the picture...

"Yeah you can say this is all hectic. Everything's out of wack like its a civil war. Seems like you set yourself up nicely here. Any real trouble yet?"
