WHAT IF . . . VENOM WAS IN BALDUR'S GATE 3? [!] Alternate Allegory - an Isola Radiale event

A wanderer is what you call an adventurer with no party. That's what Eddie has been for years now. Baldur's Gate is no longer his home, he has no right to return to it, and he likely never will. He uses this as an opportunity to warn of great dangers, to get others to seek the shelter he has been denied when catastrophe comes knocking at the front door. Seeing a Nautiloid crash in the distance, he makes the grave mistake of wandering closer-- and becomes yet another infected innocent. And yet, he has not turned? The relief is only brief, when he studies on about what this tadpole may do to him.

In his desperation, Eddie seeks the help of a devil and makes an ill-thought deal. Be rid of the major threat-- and even prosper. He saw nothing wrong with it, but if only he'd read the fine print.

CLAUSE G. the tadpole remains where it is. The threat of ceremorphosis is gone, but not its cravings and its thoughts. It is alive, he knew that already, but he knew not to what extent. It feeds on him, his anger and his woes, his joy and his sorrow. And it changes him, the way he thinks and how he acts. It doesn't like this deal any better than he does, though . . .

WHAT'S DIFFERENT:

Eddie joins the tadpoled crew! In a sort of way . . .

Before he was tadpoled, he was a level 3 paladin ( oath of devotion-- to the truth ). And now, he's a level 3 paladin + level 3 warlock; his patron is a fiend in this case ).

The symbiote tadpole forces him to crave brains like a usual mindflayer would, which isn't exactly ideal. But it's also allowed him some particular mindflayer abilities. Think of it as going part-ilithid in Act 3, except it's got a few kinks to work out.

He's human, but that tadpole clearly isn't!

Eddie doesn't remember his original canon, but he's been getting strange messages and apparitions from his little brain friend that suggests otherwise

It is with the sudden crackle and darkening of the sky that causes everyone in their own respective medias to look up. Even if the setting isn't outdoors, one will still notice the area they're in becoming darker; like a fog is beginning to settle in. Only instead of grey mists, it is a black cloud that threatens to envelop all in its grasp. Now, however, with a blinding, sudden flash, all becomes...

Quiet.

Though everyone's eyes gradually readjust from being temporarily blinded, there is nothing for anyone's eyes to focus on.

There is nothing at all; only complete darkness and silence... Like when a tv is suddenly turned off.

Though just as quickly as the darkness came, another blink and everyone will find themselves back within Spirale. There is not a hair out of place nor does there seem to be any signs of disturbances from when everyone had left. In fact, it's almost like those who were whisked away never left Spirale at all.

"Alright, well, that was a fun test but now it's getting old," comes Capella's yawn as she stretches her arms above her head now. Aspidiske, too, seems to have grown tired of the environment test... Though, it could also be because of how draining being around Capella can be at times.

Regardless of her companion's expression, Capella begins to quickly flip through the almost absurd amount of notes scribbled down in her rather sizable notepad. It doesn't even occur to her to show her various notes and findings with her fellow Star though if it did, she would still ruthlessly and quickly speed through each page with lightning speed.

"TOOOOONS of really good notes from this one, though! Who says work can't be fun?" and instead of getting out of her chair and exiting like anyone else would, Capella instead uses her legs to propel herself towards the doorway, reaching a good speed until the back of her chair smacks into the doorway itself. Though she almost falls out, the wide grin remains in place as she proceeds to lift up her notepad and wave it around in order for Aspidiske to follow.

"Let's go! They're gonna want to see this... Hehe...!"

She still couldn’t believe she went through eight years of medical school for this.

It wasn’t like Aki hated her job as a school nurse, but the times she had felt actually useful and that she was making a difference in her career like she’d always wanted were few and far between. Besides a passing recognition, she hardly even knew this ‘trouble maker’ student. Whatever it was he did that got him into trouble so many times, it certainly wasn’t picking fights with other students or he would have ended up in the nurse’s office sooner.

Pinching the bridge of her nose, Aki let out a sigh before remembering where she was and that the student in question is sitting right in front of her. She straightened up immediately and gave the kid a tired smile.

“So... Yusaku? Is that the name you prefer? I’m Ms. Izayoi, but you can call me Aki if you want.” She made a little show of looking through her notes as if she hadn’t read his file before. “Your homeroom teacher has sent you here because you’ve been in detention a few times already this semester but he hasn’t seen any changes in your behavior, so he recommended you come in for counseling. How do you feel about that? Why do you think you’re here?”

                    ❛❛ Wait a second ——– you’re not one of the usual staff members in the rangers’ base ! ❜❜ Nagamasa pointed an almost accusatory finger at the bespectacled man. Fortunately for the two of them, the other rangers were away on a mission, having left Nagamasa behind. Nagamasa’s booming voice caught the attention of a couple interns, but that was all.    

                    ❛❛ Furthermore, I believe I know who you are, as well ! You’re that oft-fatigued man from Spirale with that large cell ph —– I mean, laptop ! It is a minor miracle that the security system did not detect you and vaporize you in an instant. Hmm...if you’re here, then that means that you must have found a way into this ‘show’. Which means that there must be a way out ! ❜❜ There was a part of Nagamasa that didn’t want to leave. The rangers had done so much for this city, and he wanted to continue to fight for justice alongside them. However, Nagamasa was needed elsewhere. Ichi was still in Spirale, wasn’t she ? And besides, the two of them were supposed to find a way back to Odani Castle from Spirale !

                    ❛❛ ...There is an exit, is there not ? ❜❜ Nagamasa gave the man a hopeful smile.

The program Kiyomasa will be stuck in is a reality TV / variety show featuring idols (think something like this or this) in which Kiyomasa is believed to be one member of a several-member boy band. Kiyomasa would probably play along for a little while to try to figure out what’s going on, but over time, he’d get tired and stressed out by having to act nice on TV. He’d also be resentful of taking part in games / activities on the variety show, since he’d consider them to be superficial, silly, and something that someone as smart as him shouldn’t have to deal with. Eventually, he’d stop being so polite and start speaking more sarcastically, and he might even try to walk out on the show altogether. Kiyomasa can also be stuck in your muse’s show instead, if you’d like !

The program Katsuie will be stuck in is a bad supernatural hunting / reality show (think something similar to Finding Bigfoot). At first, Katsuie would probably be really into trying to hunt down a supernatural creature, but once he realizes that he’s been sent on a wild goose chase / that action only happens because the TV crew is messing with the cast of the show, he’d probably become annoyed and pretty unmotivated in regards to actually finding the supposed creature. Katsuie can also be stuck in your muse’s show instead, if you’d like !

Empatherom Details: Riku

[Getting switched into another person’s body as soon as you end up in another world has to be one of the most jarring things ever- let’s do it. Here’s kind a list of things to expect after being switched with Riku.

-Since she’s a half-demon, her endurance levels and strength are higher than that of a regular human’s. Plus she’s already a rather high-energy person anyway, so you’ll always be filled with energy...even when you don’t want to be.

-Being from a popular Magic Academy in Tokyo, she knows how to wield mana and such- though the only thing she can use right now is Flight Magic so long as she has a broom.

-She’s also classified as a Magical Girl, but can’t transform at the moment.

-Be prepared to feel a LOT of positive emotions and some angry emotions as well. This will mostly activate if you see someone getting hurt or harassed since she’s a Chaotic Good type of person. She considers herself almost like a hero of justice despite the fact that being a Majonoubi (Ninja-Witch) puts her in the field of True Neutral/Neutral Evil depending on a person’s feelings towards those types of people. Even despite that, the urge to help others...its a feeling that will never go away. 

-Despite the way she acts though, Riku does feel a strange sense of distance towards others become she’s half-demon, half-human. One half a coin that should have never come into existence in her world. Even if she doesn’t show it outwardly, be prepared for some bouts of sadness from her heritage.

-You might start acting a bit like a chunnibyou. I’m sorry, but that’s what is going to happen.

-For all that is holy and unholy do NOT take off the collar! Even though her Demon Form’s powers are sealed away, there’s no knowing if the personality or lack there of itself is still there. For the safety of everyone else, its better to be careful than sorry

-Also she’s short at like 160 cm, so be prepared to be picked up.

Petti Affairs- A period drama set in Europe in the early 1700s. What’s it about? I dunno- I just thought it’d be funny to have Tae in a setting like this, and if you think you could have some fun with your character in that setting, we can absolutely work something out!

Zom-buddy to Lean On- A buddy cop movie set during a zombie apocalypse! And guess who the buddy is? :> Let us ensue some shenanigans.

Displaced- Find yourself trapped on a deserted island, struggling for survival against the elements and the beasts that lurk in the jungle. Hope there's no plot twists that make this ride get too crazy!

Outerworld Odyssey- This fun yet sometimes intense sci-fi affair sees the Nebula Exploration Team traveling to various planets, gathering knowledge, forming alliances, and often fighting for their lives. Come aboard the E.F.S. Silver Angel and prepare yourself for the unknown!

Any true fan of the Good Witch Azura series would know the location- nestled within the scorching peaks of Lizardback Ridge, lower than even the land surrounding the mountains, one would find Deepest Depth Valley.  An unusual sight in the arid wasteland the Ridge was located within, the Valley possessed a swamp-like ecosystem as a result of the now-dried Roving Rivers pooling into the location.  Of course, coupled with the unforgiving desert heat, it made for a thoroughly unpleasant environment...and yet it proved to be of vital importance.  For it was within this swampy valley, when her magic powers were somehow dwindling and she was losing all faith in herself, that Azura found a run-down wooden shack and met just the person who would help her.

Elbarella, the woman who had once been known as the most powerful sorceress in the land.  

Her exploits were legendary, her powers unfathomable, it seemed as if the world would always be able to depend on her...until one day she just vanished, having gone to live in hiding.  She knew she could not be depended on to be the world’s savior- she had been far too worn down by life and the tolls it had taken on her.  The world needed somebody new- someone whose spirit would not be so easily broken, who could forgive and help those who had fallen to evil mend their ways.  In time she of course found this in Azura, who took Elbarella’s tough love and arcane prowess to heart, regained her confidence, and saved the day.  Though she would not always return to her teacher on her various adventures, Azura still held her in high regard as a wise spellcaster of incredible magical ability and unfettered grace and dignity.

And it was outside this sorceress’s cabin that Eda the Owl Lady was swinging an old broom she found, attempting to swat a dragonfly that was probably around the size of an actual dragon- a baby one, at least.

“Come...ON, you stupid...buzzing butthead; BUZZ OFF!”  A particularly wild spin led her into a stumble, invariably making her fall back onto her butt with a groan.  She just sighed and laid back.  Not a good day- first she was separated from her apprentice, and now she’s being mocked by an insect.  It didn’t help that this whole place seemed a lot brighter than what she was used to, almost as if everything around them was of a more colorful, animated style...

He should know.

It was probably supposed to be ominous, or creepy, but all he can think about is the logistics.

What Lurks at Night- There are monsters out there. Demons, feral beasts, abominations- all of which would see humanity ripped asunder before them. You must hunt them down before they get that chance.

Chorus of Eternity- Another plane rests atop our own- one that holds extraordinary magical energy, power far beyond what man can make.  This magic can be harnessed by humans, only if they are able to speak the truth of their soul through song.  When you bare your soul to the world, what power will you wield, and how will you put it to use?

The program Nagamasa will be stuck in is a tokusatsu show (think something similar to Power Rangers) in which Nagamasa is believed to be a new “sixth ranger” who’s appeared out of nowhere and has just joined a group of five superheroes. Nagamasa would keep trying to explain that he’s not from their world and that he wants to go back to Spirale (much to the confusion of the other superheroes), but at the same time, he can’t help but want to fight alongside the superheroes against any evil that threatens their city. I’d imagine that, by the end of this event, he’ll probably have forged a few friendships with the superheroes and will be a bit sad to leave them behind. Nagamasa can also be stuck in your muse’s show instead, if you’d like !

“Who’s that? Is he new?” Ai leaned over the lunch table to whisper conspiratorially to his boyfriend, Ciscera. “I feel like I recognize him.”

Ciscera looked up, a bored expression on his face. As the class secretary, he made it his duty to recognize all of his peers -- and as his boyfriend, he was kind enough to remind Ai: The class president who was so hopeless with faces. Ciscera recognized the student Ai was looking at at a glance.

“You should recognize him, he’s not exactly new. He transferred here at the beginning of the year.” Ciscera turned his attention back to the prom planning papers that they had spread all over their table. “’Fujiki’ is his name. He hangs out with those punk kids.”

Ai turned around to look at the class secretary, “’punk kids’?” Ciscera waved his hand dismissively.

“You know -- skipping class or sleeping through it, barely doing enough homework to pass, hardly in any clubs. You aren’t exactly in the same cliques.” Ciscera gave him a look, which Ai returned even though he knew it was a loosing battle. It’s true, Ai was a bit of a prep. Not doing homework he could understand, but dropping his extracurriculars? Never.

“...Anyway. I’m going to bring some of these to the main office before lunch is over.” Ciscera waved him goodbye without saying anything or even looking up. Ai huffed and gathered the papers in his arms before stomping away. His boyfriend was so rude! He didn’t even know why he started dating Ciscera! In fact... he doesn’t remember when they started dating either... He doesn’t remember much about their relationship at all, actually... And this Fujiki? Him transferring earlier in the year could explain why Ai recognized him, but Ai had a strange feeling that he knew the other student better than that...

Ai was so preoccupied with his thoughts, he didn’t see the other before it was too late and ran right into another student. Startled, he dropped his papers everywhere. Ai jumped back and began picking them up before anyone could step on them.

“Sorry! Sorry, that was my fault. You’re not hurt, are you?”
