What you need to know about permed hair

1. Wash and Dry it correctly - wait 24 to 72 hours after a perm before washing it. This may vary depending on your hair type and perm type so check with your stylist first. Choose shampoo and conditioner specific to permed hair. 

2. How to style your perm - the amount of time you spend on styling your hair has literally been halved so put this time into looking after and caring for your permed hair. Avoid using heat products on your hair, opt instead for using a wide toothed comb and butterfly clips. 

3. Trim your hair regularly - make sure you are getting trims every four to six weeks. This will help get rid of the dry ends, keep the springs in your curls intact and help it look healthy.

Missed seeing the elephants so made sure to visit the elephant enclosure at Melbourne Zoo. Did you know elephants are among the world’s most intelligent animals? They have just as much a strong sense to wander and explore as humans do. 

The island from where I come from, elephants are one of the most sacred and well protected animals with their own orphanage and sanctuary. Elephants are highly intelligent creatures who travel in family units and who convey several human emotions such as grief, compassion, happiness and curiosity. Elephants around the world have been taught to paint, play football and even dance to music. Nothing but complete admiration and love for these amazing creatures!

Missing the sea creatures so took a visit to the Melbourne Aquarium. Oh, what I would give to be swimming amongst the coral and array of fascinating and colourful sea fish.
