IMPORTANT ;

Hey guys, sorry for being MIA again. We’ve decided that for the time being, we’re going to shut down the main — or put it on hiatus, whatever you prefer. Admin L is on holiday, I’m working 5-6 days a week and being dragged around to do ��summer things” when I’m not, and Admin H has seemingly fallen off the face of the earth. For right now, the best decision for us is to take a break from promoting things and keeping everything up to date, simply because there is a bit of stress that comes with admin work and none of us are in the proper position to deal with that right now. I hope you understand!

That being said, you’re all more than welcome to continue roleplaying with each other! The main will be coming back, if you’re willing to stick around until we do. We’ll probably pop onto our characters, too, when we get the chance. I know this probably isn’t what you guys have wanted to hear, and I’m sorry if any of you are disappointed in the decision.

Hey guys, I just wanted to do a little post to apologize for my lack of activity the last couple of days on both my characters and the main. I’ve had a lot of (scary) things happen in my personal life and as always, that comes before roleplay, so I hope you guys understand. I’ll be doing an activity check now, and accepting all of the apps in our inbox this morning before I leave – or at the very least, this afternoon when I get home from work.

I feel like it’s important to make this post. The past few days, the admins of this wonderful group have been pushing the gif rule to the point where someone has now left because of it. I would first like to say that the gifs in general weren’t the issue — it was the fact that so many people were blatantly ignoring a rule the admins made. Regardless of whether or not it’s something you agree with.. when a rule is made, it’s meant to be followed by everyone. Not followed only if you feel like it.

The rules in this group in general are extremely light compared to most— to be quite honest, there is no excuse not to follow them. But respect the people who have put the work in to keep this group together for you to enjoy, and don’t ignore things because they don’t cater to your taste.

Because it’s been said enough by now, the next person or people to use a large gif in their reply is getting reopened WITHOUT warning. Ignoring the rules isn’t going to get you anywhere but out of here, babes. If you can’t use a small or medium gif, don’t use one at all.

I am so disappointed that I have to make another post about this, but please keep in mind that we have requested SMALL or MEDIUM gifs be used in replies. This is not a hard rule to follow and I'm upset to see that it is being ignored. All we ever ask from our members is that all rules be followed. If you are having a genuine problem with one of these rules or need further help, please just message the main and we will be happy to help. I love our little Ohana here and the last thing I want to do is lose someone, but strikes will be handed out if we continue to see people ignoring our notes.

Is there a specific size our gifs should be? When I;ve been resizing big ones, I've bee going with 250 pixals horizontal and having the program adjust the height.

I’m going to publish this so other people know the answer — 250px width is perfect, regardless of the height of the image. It’s basically what we’re looking for, though most widths under 500px are acceptable.

IMPORTANT.

In case people have forgotten, here are the RULES of the roleplay. Breaking ANY of these will result in a strike. THREE STRIKES means your character(s) get REOPENED. We keep track of what a strike is given out for and the date they were given!

OO1 // ACTIVITY — be active! Don’t join and then disappear. That being said, if you go inactive for four days without request for a hiatus, your character will be given a warning. On the fifth day of inactivity, your character will be reopened. Hiatuses have a limit of one week, unless discussed otherwise beforehand. Reblogging photos does not count as activity. On the fifth day of your character not interacting with someone else, they will be reopened without warning.

OO2 // DRAMA — we will not tolerate OOC drama or hate. While characters are expected to not get along, and not all players will, either… there is no reason to start drama. OOC drama or hate means an automatic reopening of your character(s).

OO3 // TRIGGERS — while some people have kinks involving things like blood or knife play, we ask that you make sure to tag things accordingly. If you’re not sure if something could trigger others, ask or tag it anyway! If you don’t tag triggers, or ask the player of the character before involving them in a possibly triggering plot, you will get two strikes automatically.

OO4 // INTERACTION — don't bubble play! Expand your character's circle of interaction away from just one or two people. Continuous bubble playing will result in a strike.

OO5 // STARTERS — apart from making sure that every starter has at least 3 notes before posting a new one, please make sure you post no more than two starters per character, per day! Every starter must have at least 3 notes before a new one is posted — and you may not post multiple starters for multiple characters all at once, or one right after the other. You must wait until there is at least one starter posted after your last before posting another.  Posting a starter and then going offline also results in a strike.

OO6 // CHARACTERS — we’re doing something different with character limits. The overall character limit is going to be 6. However – should you prove to stay active on all characters, we may allow you to pick up a seventh.

OO7 // ACCEPTANCES — we will be accepting at a 1:1 ratio in the beginning. This is subject to change! If we start getting an influx of one type/gender of character, we will go on a ban until things even out.

OO8 // MEMES & GAMES — this clogs up the dash when people do them often, so to go around it, we’ll be scheduling Memes/Inbox Games for certain days of the week! This will be updated as we decide what games to do/when to do them.

OO9 // SMUT — this is a mature roleplay! Smut doesn’t necessarily have to be under a readmore, unless you’d prefer it that way, or unless it’s including something triggering. We also ask that you make sure to tag your pornography as NSFW, so people can blacklist it if they want to go on the dash at school/work. If you do not tag your NSFW, you will be given a strike.

O1O // STRIKE SYSTEM — this is being carried over from the revamp. Strikes will be given out for not following the rules (IC and OOC), and being on the warning list three times.

O11 // MAJOR PLOTS  — all major plots must be run by us first! This includes massive injuries, near death experiences, among other things. If we see you doing things without permission, we will ask you to change your plot; if you don’t, you will be removed from the roleplay.

O12 // DASH & GIFS  — to keep the dash looking tidy, please make sure to use small or medium gifs only! None that are 500px or more. You will get a strike for using large gifs! If you need help finding gif hunts, just ask – we’ll be more than happy to help!

Just so everyone knows — it’s now been made a rule that small//medium gifs must be used on the dash because large gifs look too messy. This is a rule that can get you a strike if not followed! If you need help finding gif hunts for your character, I’d be more than happy to find a few for you. Please like once you’ve read this so I know you understand!

We’re going to be doing something a bit different when it comes to requested characters — if a request is sent in with a specific faceclaim, that faceclaim will be going on the reserved page to try and encourage people to apply as them.

If a request is sent in with multiple faceclaim suggestions, however, there is more of a chance of it being filled and therefore, all of the faceclaims will not be added to the reserved list.

This is only to try and get connections filled, as a lot of people have dealt with disappointment of having a connection requested for months and never having anyone pick it up.
