The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds: probably a perfect pop album? i love this record to death and always revisit it every summer. (learning that the percussion sound in "caroline, no" was an empty soda bottle felt like listening to it again for the first time)

Daft Punk - Discovery: it's incredible how fresh it still sounds. a legit 10/10, genre-defining album/cultural touchstone/essential listen/yadda yadda etc etc it's all true.

Vampire Weekend - Contra: my favorite album of theirs. it sounds like spring to me and so many of my fav live performances are off this one

J Dilla - Donuts: i don't think there's much more I can add that hasn't already been said. the way he managed to express the full spectrum of human emotions without even using his own words is truly incredible.

HONORABLE MENTION:

The Avalanches - Since I Left You

yeah i had to add another one. this album + discovery kind of occupy the same space in my brain. like discovery, it's incredibly creative and still sounds fresh today. the title track is just so lush, beautiful, and perfectly suits that late spring/early summer feeling.

your blog gives me such warm and cozy vibes. it’s the same feeling of stepping into your best friends home that is basically your second home/family. you walk in through the garage door bc you don’t have to knock, dinner is almost ready (they made you your favorite), the sun is setting, and they ask how you are bc they genuinely wanna know. that’s how your blog feels to me. so warm, so cozy, so welcoming. ily baby! hope you’re having a great day <3

14. What’s your favorite color? 

Shades of green like olive or forest and wine or Sangria.

21. How was your day today? 

Days are busy and gets over in blink of an eye due to packing and preparing to move countries in less than a month now. (Texas it is for my 2nd masters).

25. What’s your favorite decade? 

If I have to choose from my life, I will say the current one, It has been the toughest but showed me how limitless, resilient, passionate and other things I can be.

In general, I guess 80s-90s were good, people were carefree, enjoying life and making moments.

27. What’s your favorite book? Or just one you’ve read a few times? 

Reading comes with the job so there are too many and I always go back and read them again to have a better understanding or a different perspective.

white tea: occupation/career aspirations

-> this is sooo hard because I want to do so many things, but I think I ultimately want to work in travel/tourism. I think it would be so cool to work for a city/state’s tourism center and help promote local businesses/plan events around the city or state!

matcha: favourite book?

-> I read The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue last year and I still think about it almost every day tbh!!! So beautifully written and interesting if you appreciate time jumps, different povs and some magical romance lol 💗

blooming tea: favourite flower?

-> If it’s in a garden, wisteria is my favorite! But if it’s in a vase, I love lillies or peonies because they smell so delightful! I’m partial to pink ones <3
