Yet another ISAT oc. I dont have much figured out for them [spoilers under cut for like acts 3-4]

They're from the island north of Vauguarde and got caught between the islands disappearance and just roams somewhere. I dont know where currently, but they're just my dumb little fellow I need to make more lore for

Also they snack on stars they stumble across, they get put in a timeloop sometimes, bout a 1/5 chance. [They are kinda based off Loop but isn't a human design ^^]

I'm just experiencing dunmeshi from the sidelines because I stopped following after like. episode 10 or 11 and only watched the latest episode for chimera falin. but even from here hearing that people think toshiro hates laios is wild. like I have limited context and even I can tell they just have insane baggage

Hey! so Ima be honest... its taking awhile for me to write this, really because I'm nervous of what you'll say, but! I have an important question I have to ask because I couldn't find it if it was in the FAQ(s)… but! May I please make a fan-made isat ttrpg? I really like the game and story and would like to make a little love letter to it! I'm not that far with it and have only written only like 3 things for it and already have the character sheets halfway done, but I would love for your input if you do allow me! I just want to make something fun!

you don't have to answer if you don't want to! but I would really like to do this! Ever since I found isat through youtube, I've been obsessed with its characters and its world!

ok so as of now my Stance on fangames/mods/whatever is:

-if it's an rpgmaker game, go right ahead and make a fangame, but do NOT use the original game's assets. make up your own portraits and pixel character sheets! (you can use the environment pixel art because otherwise that'd be a whole lot of work lmao).

(red outline = dont use em. icons and battle animations etc are fair game)

-if it's a mod for another game (like that slay the spire ISAT mod I saw a while back), go right ahead, and you CAN use the original art for it!

my reasoning is, I don't want people to look at a fangame that's on rpgmaker and looks exactly like the original game, and for people to go "omg isat sequel" or whatever

and of course "don't make money off of any fangame/fun cool thing" as always, because, uh, common sense lol

I’d also like to add to this, since I didn’t touch on it in my initial post! For environments, you can also get a hide similar to an observatory* or any similar structure with a skylight.

Other enclosure environments also include Islander styled enclosures! This means black sand, rocks, and “space” iconography.

For those in a light polluted area, try taking your King to see real stars when you can. In general, it’s very beneficial to take your King outside of his enclosure and into fresher air. Pick a night, get a mesh carrier bag or harness for carrying, and head out to a clearing or beachside! It’s great for their well being, and helps you bond with your King.

So my cousine bought a "Siffrin" or what they assumed was a Siffrin...It was a King who had it's hair cut, it was in very distressed and after I told him that it was a King he dropped it on me. (The shelters nearby were either full or refused to take him...)

So now I have a vet visit planned since this is my first time owning a King and I pressume that havinf a King with shorthair is very bad. If anyone could give me more advice that would be very helpfull thanks.

While a King does need occasional trimming, it should never have short enough hair that they can be mistaken for a Siffrin. The hair of a King is vital for temperature regulation, and a King with hair shorter than shoulder length is likely to experience immense distress as hair often acts as an object of comfort for Kings, both emotionally and physically.

Make sure you’re managing their hair! Keep track of how long your King’s hair has grown by measuring it every few days and writing down the new measurement. Consistent growth is indicative of a content and healthy King. To avoid breakage, brush the King’s hair and tie it back- preferably in a braid. For a new King that’s not very trusting, I suggest braiding their hair during baths or feedings, and wear paper type Craft gloves (both to avoid any rock attacks, and because your King might bite. If any of these occur, leave the King alone temporarily to calm down). Don’t over-shampoo, as it can damage the hair more than help it. Shampoo at most once a week, or whenever absolutely necessary. And, I cannot stress this enough: Invest in good hair and shell oil. I recommend ShinePlux or Bright-Specialty Products. Avoid charcoal hair products: they risk staining the hair, which is an absolute no no for Kings. Keep your King’s armor blindingly shiny and his hair utterly darkless!!!

Take note of any hair loss or thinning, as it can indicate health problems and abnormal stress. A healthy King should have long darkless hair that doesn’t tangle when brushed (this applies to any variant of a King, regardless of hair texture) and is shiny- not greasy- in appearance.

Kings are also a much larger species than Siffrins, so it’s possible that your King may be in its childhood stage? Despite their later size, a King starts out relatively small, and grows to a taller height later in its life through a sudden stage of rapid moltings. Keep an eye out for any pre-molt behaviors like diminished appetite, fatigue, and distancing.

Definitely reach out to any Planetarium Houses for advice! Since Kings of the Islander variety, these specialized Houses are often very informed about them, and tend to have one of their own.

hot take: isat fans vehemently protecting the game's story and watching what they post like a hawk and labelling everything as a spoiler even if it's loop and isabeau playing crazy taxi for the sega dreamcast (my favorite part of the game. huge spoiler.) is hurting the game's reach and y'all should chill out

you want people to play the game and yet you wont TELL people anything about it

i'll admit, i got into undertale via the sans fight, omega flowey, and funny animations and comic dubs, plus one blind reaction to the ending from a youtuber i like

and MOST people knew about the fight with sans and megalovania before they even knew who FLOWEY was

people see shit like that without context, go "OH SHIT, THAT'S REALLY COOL" and go check out the whole thing to get the context and enjoy it thoroughly

im not saying y'all shouldn't tag things with spoilers if you care about people's blind reactions, but.

but loop EXISTING is not a spoiler

Yo minor Q, help me out isat fans if you can:

I did the wonderful stargazing friendship event thing with everyone, and siffrin had the thought about all the way through with everyone, and not looping at all, which I have committed to doing. I am guessing that successfully going all the way through the house directly after this event will lead to: something. I don’t know what, I don’t wanna know, just. An occurrence.

However, immediately on the first sadness I was like. Hm I never did choose to just attack it, so I did, and saw the cool “siffrin stabs the sadness to murder complete death and scares the hell out of the entire party”, which included a the loop animation with siffrin going back n all, so now my party is not frightened. Again not me choosing to loop, it was part of the cutscene.

What I want to know is: has doing this locked me out of “whatever happens when you go through after the star gaze event without skipping”? Do I need to reset? Please answer this without telling me ANYTHING about what MAY OR MAY NOT HAPPEN upon completion.
