@isakthedragon You're right. I think I want to concede my opinion anyway. I don't think I've watched the cutscenes well enough to make a proper opinion.
Interesting
isakthedragon replied to your post “Since Lost World tends to glitch when I play it and is currently not…”
Because both Tails And Sonic’s friendship are kind of thrown under the bus here? Or at least they feel a bit out of character for me.
I felt more like they were having a real disagreement. We almost never see Sonic and Tails get into arguments, and while that can be a sign of a good relationship I feel like it’s good to show them getting into an argument and then working through it now and again. After all, neither of them are perfect.
For me personally, I actually felt like Lost World Sonic was even more in character than, say, Colors Sonic. He was lighthearted and cheerful at first but you can see him get angrier and more worried the more his friends are hurt. This is one of the first times in the series that Sonic had to watch as one by one his friends either seemingly died in front of him, or were going to be forever changed. By the end of the game, he was pretty much alone, and you can see how negatively it’s affecting him - for all his optimism and skill, he relies on his friends intensely, and the thought that they might all die because of his mistake eats him up inside.
Plus, I’d say that the reason their relationship was being strained at all was because of Eggman. Neither of them likes having to work with him, and that’s already souring their mood - and then a miscommunication results in the start of Sonic and Tails’ main argument. Tails feels like Sonic doesn’t trust him with Eggman’s technology even though he’s proven himself as a technological genius time and again, while Sonic feels like Tails is putting the world in jeopardy to show off his skills. Sonic’s outburst when Tails accidentally makes Cubot dangerous seems a bit out of nowhere at first, but it’s really an extension of that disagreement - that Sonic feels like Tails is maybe showing off a bit too much, and this particular mistake might have gotten him killed. It was an outburst borne of worry and irritation in equal parts, but to Tails it probably just felt like Sonic was getting after him for no reason. Honestly, I felt like their argument throughout the game was a pretty good example of how miscommunication can cause a strain on a relationship. And at the end of the game, Sonic honestly apologizes, fully admits that he was wrong, and Tails forgives him with a smile. I thought that was really healthy. Sonic isn’t too proud to admit that he was being an ass, and Tails understands that in the end Sonic was only trying to look out for him.
Honestly, I feel like from what I’ve seen of Lost World’s story, it’s a step in the right direction - I know I’m not the only one who feels like the goofier plots of Colors and Generations are less interesting than the more serious plots of many of the earlier 3D games, and if Project 2017 continues in this direction, we might be in for some great character development in the Sonic franchise’s future.

Just posting the rest of the works I have ever done. This one was a short story  involving Rouge learning how Shadow felt after those moments of seeing Maria’s death and beyond before his years of slumber.

I'm surprised this game hasn't been memed for how close it is to the show's humor in the first place. And the groundskeeper is just Don Knotts... that's the joke. :P (Sorry, I just love this game so very much. Is my childhood. :3)
I mean, I will give the game that, it’s surprisingly faithful to the humor and feeling of the cartoon.

I think Shadow Legacy shot your dreams in the foot, @aquillis-main. I THINK he became good near the end there. Well, unless they decide to do adventures between the two games, somehow.
Nobody seems to remember Shadow Legacy exists, Isak. We have to pretend it doesn’t exist to keep my mind happy about Red being the bad guy dragon.

1, 8, and 9 for the Sonic questions ask. :)
1. What was your first Sonic game?
Sonic Rush!
8. In your opinion, which Sonic game had the best bonus stages?
Okay so, for this I’m not counting special stages where you get Chaos Emeralds. And in that case I’d go with Mania(not plus) because it’s just blue sphere and I really like blue sphere.
9. 2D or 3D?
3D for sure. I like 3D games(not just Sonic but in general) way better.

I believe that you can consider them bros, since they are the anti versions of Mario and Luigi. I think they just don't confirm it because Nintendo doesn't seem to want Waluigi in any of their products much (Explains why there is no big game for Waluigi.).
That’s one of my theories too, tbh. Nintendo and/or Camelot can get pretty stingy about their products, their IP, and their audience. Nintendo knows that Mario and Luigi sells because they’re good role models, while Wario and Waluigi are not. I mean, we really can’t say much about them because as a company, they have the right to be secretive.
But yeah, no matter what they say, they’re still bros to me lmao.

10 characters for 10 people
Thanks @beevean for tagging me!
1) Vector the Crocodile (Sonic The Hedgehog): My boy Vector doesn’t get enough love. He loves money, listening to some bangers on his headphones and taking on cases with his friends, who doesn’t love that? He also has to make ends meet, which makes him a lot more relatable than you’d think. And let’s not forget the fact that in IDW Sonic he is such a trooper, going out like a champ. Mad respect, my brother.
Tumblr media
2) Rouge the Bat (Sonic the Hedgehog): “Fated not to be tamed // Watch me I never will lean upon you // I can go – by myself”
Rouge is a lot more than her “one polygon” or the sax guy in Sonic X going nuts every time she’s on screen, and it’s sad to see her character has gone to waste ever since -probably- Sonic ‘06, even if I kinda liked her in Forces. Rouge is a tough lass to deal with, she won’t stop until she gets what she wants, and that may lead her to push her luck a little too hard, but don’t let that take away from the fact that she also knows when to step down a bit and focus on other things, even if it hurts her ego quite a lot. She also has a soft side, and she managed to keep Team Dark together for a while now. That last point is what most fans have been pointing out over the years, so I don’t think it’s necessary to go in detail there.
She also has the best SA2 vocal theme, of course ;P
Tumblr media
3) Rayla (The Dragon Prince): What can I say that hasn’t been said before? Even A:TLA comparisons have already been done to death (and the TDP fandom is frowning at me rn for mentioning it.) Rayla has done a lot, and she’s lost most of the ones she loved; but her determination to do the right thing and bring the Humans and Xadians conflict to an end has given her a lot of experiences, a new family and much more. There’s still lots to see from her in Season 4 and beyond, so I implore you to go watch TDP if you haven’t done so already.
Tumblr media
4) Dracula (Netflix’s Castlevania): This is a more of a mellow, sad, tired and melancholic Dracula than I was used to (specially after coming from the old school Castlevania games), and I absolutely love it for that. The fucking Inquisition burned his wife, of course I would sympathize with him during his crusade against humanity; and now that those times are long gone, well... I miss him.
Tumblr media
5) Iroh (Avatar: The Last Airbender): There’s not much else to say, he stood right by Zuko even when he turned his back on him, he wasn’t perfect, he learned some truly hard lessons in his life, but he ended up doing what he wanted to do the most: make others happy, serving them tea. This year I revisited Avatar for its 15th anniversary, and found myself crying a lot more than I remembered with Iroh’s moments. This show, man.
Tumblr media
6) Theo (Celeste): I love Madeline to death, but Theo has struck me on a personal level. What seemed to be a happy-go lucky young man with a passion for selfies and Instagram (it’s actually real btw), turned out to be a man struggling to find a meaning in his life as he realized he kept hating the boring routine of the city life, and who isn’t going through something similar? His relationship with Madeline also reminded a lot of myself with my best friend, considering she also suffers from similar emotional struggles like Madeline. Celeste is so brilliant, and I’d love to hang out with Theo irl tbh.
Tumblr media
7) Gaunter O’Dimm (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt): The extended universe of The Witcher is in no shortage of fucking amazing characters, but there’s one character exclusive to the third game that’s just... well... it’s evil incarnated. The motherfucker that has its own song that children sing it in the game, that plays in every cutscene where he is present or his name is mentioned, and that, should you choose the “bad” ending of Hearts of Stone, will simply walk away whistling that very fucking song. Oh, and did I mention he’s, like, EVERYWHERE during HoS main quest?
“His smile fair as spring, as towards him he draws you
His tongue sharp and silvery as he implores you
Your wishes he grants, as he swears to adore you
Gold, silver, jewels - he lays riches before you”
Tumblr media
8) Elizabeth (BioShock Infinite): Bruh, that Burial at Sea Part 2 ending. THAT. ENDING.
(Although overall I prefer the first BioShock over the rest, the first half of Infinite with Elizabeth being cheery is absolutely unforgettable for me.)
Tumblr media
9) Soren (The Dragon Prince): Yeah, another repeat, but can we get some salutes in the chat for my boy Soren? A true trooper, he endured all the abusive shit he was getting from his father, decided to do the right thing™ by leaving him behind, and now he’s such a badass at it! I’m still pretty much worried about his sister, Claudia, but it makes me very happy to see my boy fighting for global peace.
Tumblr media
10) Kass (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild): I just love him a lot. I found myself several times spending north of 10 minutes just listening to him playing that accordion time and time again on different beautiful places.
Tumblr media
Phew! That took a lot longer than I anticipated. Now I tag @skull001 @xsailormobian @isakthedragon @imilenium @isakthedragon and... and... well, I give up, anyone else that wants to do it please go ahead and have fun!

Quarantine survey
Thank you @naivesilver for tagging me! :D
Where are you isolated?
Italy!
What are you currently reading or watching?
Eh, I started Estoy Vivo because my teacher recommended it, but after 3 episodes I don’t really have a drive anymore? I’m really not cut out for TV series. I have a bajillion movies to watch anyway if I wanted to (like Sonic, which I just got :D)
If you can go outside, what do you like to do during this time?
I haven’t stepped outside my house since March 3rd. I’m okay with this, honestly.
Any fascinating concept you’re studying?
Albanian! Of all the languages I tried studying on my own on a whim, this is the only one I really got into. Maybe it’s because I’m using an actual book and not apps lmao
What kind of acts of creativity/forms of art are you currently doing?
Nothing, I’m not an art person
A song that resonates with your state of mind at the moment?
My last 3 braincells:
youtube
Favourite impulsive/’bad’ coping techniques?
Well, uh, “favorite” is a big word, but being stuck at home is particularly dangerous if you are addicted to eating like me...
Favourite healthy/’good’ coping techniques?
I’m trying to work out in the best way I can - I don’t have a single tool or machine so I’m limited, but there are things I can do on my own. Also I like to go on the balcony and enjoy the sun and the smell of the flowers we have :>
Tagging @langsandlit @latin-dr-robotnik @spinningbuster98 @isakthedragon and anyone else who feels like it!

isakthedragon replied to your post:has there been a rain-based level in a sonic game...
It’s oddly only unique to Frog Forest and Lost Jungle. The only other Zone I can think of that has rain is Deep Woods in Sonic and the Black Knight, but they don’t do anything with it there. It’s a quite unique mechanic indeed.
I initially thought deep woods did but I couldn’t remember ! gimme a sec...
OH MY GOSH IT DOES ! it rains every so often in that stage ! it’s more atmospheric than a level mechanic but nowhere in my memory has rain been a mechanic outside of heroes... so I was thinking aesthetically lol thank you !

isakthedragon replied to your post “been thinkin’ some more about my Space AU”
@extraneousdominomask I mean, there was Chief Engineer B'elanna Torres from Voyager who did butt heads with the higher ups until they grew comfortable with each other. So there is points they don't have to always have to have perfect chemistry at first. (Although, your ideas sound way better. :P )
Yeah, it could be a thing where Penelope considers the engineering department to be Hers, which frequently causes friction with Carmelita’s very... thorough managerial style
I’d be a bit wary of putting too much conflict on the ship, since Carmelita’s patience is already worn thin by Neyla. But Gronk is 100% on her side on all things, so that’s something

Half-Life: Year of the Dragon (2022)
Who needs Gordon Freeman aka the main protagonist of the original Half-Life game released back in 1998? The dude is boring. It’s time to move on to someone new. Someone like Spyro, that purple dragon from the Spyro The Dragon franchise. And thankfully, a new mod swaps the old Gordon for the (similarly old) Spyro, complete with the dragon’s moves and abilities.
Half-Life: Year of the Dragon is a mod that has been in development for a few years now, with an older demo of it being released back in 2018. Developed by Magic Nipples, the mod doesn’t just replace Gordon with Spyro, but changes how you actually play Half-Life. No more guns or grenades. Instead, Half-Life is now a third-person platformer that forces Spyro to use his charge and flame abilities to make his way through the alien-infested corridors of Black Mesa.
