I’ve been thinking about this for a while, but can I just say, out of all the characters in poppy Playtime, Stella probably upsets me the most.

She loves to act like she cares about the kids but then she pulls shit like this,

That kid, all of the kids, had a bright future ahead of them, and she actively took that away, all while claiming to care about them!

At least the other three, Leith, Dr. Sawer, and Eddie actually acknowledge and fully accepted how horrible they were. Meanwhile Stella’s over here like, “All this blood and pain is horrible! Oh it’s too much to handle 🥺” IT’S YOUR FAULT! YOU’RE THE ONE KNOWINGLY SENDING KIDS TO THEIR DEATH!

I don’t care if she genuinely thinks she’s doing the right thing, it’s the fact that she acts like she’s better than them, that she’s still a good person that pisses me off the most.

Something that I think is kinda unique to comic books is when a character got turned into a horrible person at some point in their publication history and you know that wasn't the original conception of their character and you feel bad for their fans but your first exposure to that character was just so viscerally awful that you can't bring yourself to like them. Like you just don't like seeing them around no more even when they're not the worst. Especially if said character's awfulness just got downplayed and brushed off in canon like no actually are we ever going to deal with that properly or has too much time passed or would it just be too awkward for the writers who never want to properly acknowledge that happened because we'd rather just pretend we didn't see that and move on? Like I get it, that's what I'd want to happen if it was my fave that got butchered but it's not so I'm :/

I used to hate the inhabitants because they scared the shit out of me (the whole dlc was scary, it took me a month to build up the courage to finish it), but they’ve kinda grown on me. Now I think they’re kinda adorable and also kinda pity them.

Like this used to scare the shit out of me, but now that I know their motivations I just think “awww, poor you” every time I see them.
