"Is blogging still relevant in the age of TikTok and Instagram?"
Tumblr media
Trends change with the seasons in the always changing world of the digital era. One may question the continued relevance of blogging, the long-time champion of long-form material, in the age of TikTok's 60-second clips and Instagram's finely curated photo grids. Let's first take a closer look at blogging before moving on to the subject.
Blogging
A blog, often known as a weblog, is a frequently updated online page that is used for business purposes or personal comments. The original forms of content marketing on the internet were blogs. They have existed since the earliest days of the internet (Beyond the Panorama 2022). Today's blogs are more likely to be personal online diaries or business-related commentary that's updated often and aimed at the broader public (Barney 2022).

Now that we know what blogging is, let’s dive into TikTok and Instagram. TikTok is a social media site that only supports short-form videos, whereas Instagram is a fully developed visual social media platform that supports photo sharing on top of any type of video, including both short-form and long-form clips (Maria 2022). Instagram was designed from the beginning to be a platform for sharing everyday stuff. a picture of your dinner or a picture of you eating with your companions. But with time, that type of stuff seemed to shift. We now hear more about Instagrammers, influencers, and content creators than phrases like bloggers because Instagram has grown into what feels like an unstoppable force.
So, how do we determine if blogging is still relevant in the era of TikTok and Instagram? Let’s decide it by looking at their main factors.
Longevity
Like gemstones, blogs are eternal. Blogs are permanent, unlike reels and TikTok videos, which only last a short while. This is because even if the videos are out-of-date, users can continue to discover relevant content on blogs via search engines (Beyond the Panorama 2022).
Purpose
Reels and TikTok were primarily developed as forms of entertainment, or at the very least, infotainment. On the other hand, blogs can be educational, amusing, or sales-focused, and they can support businesses in achieving a variety of goals (Beyond the Panorama 2022).
Media Flexibility
Reels and TikTok videos only enable video formats, whereas blogs allow for the inclusion of text, photographs, video, and other media. As a result, blogs may be utilised far more effectively to spread the word by utilising a variety of media formats. Because blogs offer more options, this offers consumers more freedom to decide (Beyond the Panorama 2022).
Platform Independence
According to Beyond the Panorama (2022), reels and TikTok are only available on those two platforms, respectively. They can only be used to target the usual young adult and teenage audiences of these networks. In contrast, blogs may be optimized for SEO to be found by Google on any platform.
More Structured
Even now, people read articles and blog postings. Sometimes people just want to click on a link, browse the content, and choose the information they need. Not every individual wants to watch a video for a piece of information. Articles are more structured, you don't have to know who wrote them, and they're highly useful in numerous areas of life.
Community
In the quick-paced world of TikTok and Instagram, there is frequently a lack of a sense of community and connection. Although these platforms are fantastic for getting instant likes and comments, bloggers may build long-lasting relationships with their readers by participating in continuous discussions in the comments area or through email newsletters. In addition to knowledge, many readers flock to their favourite bloggers for a sense of community and belonging to a specific specialty.
Tumblr media
In conclusion, while TikTok and Instagram are undeniably popular and play a big part in how people consume material today, they cannot replace blogging for its distinctive contribution to the online world. There is still a place for bloggers who are passionate about sharing their ideas and tales with the public in a world that seeks both instant enjoyment and in-depth knowledge.

Is Blogging Still Relevant in The Age of TikTok and Instagram?
Tumblr media
In this day and age, digital media is consistently changing, where super short videos and intoxicating eye-catching pictures make up most of what we see on our screens, so one might wonder if the quote-on-quote traditional art of blogging is still relevant in this day and age. Trust me, I have been there. Without even talking about blogs, nowadays I even find it hard to watch a full-length YouTube video, what more to say trying to spare some time to read a blog? TikTok and Instagram have gained a large cult like following especially during the Covid-19 period where everyone was stuck at home. But at the end of the day, does this mean that blogging with it’s long and winding, word focused content is not relevant in todays day and age? Well, this is what this blog is for. Come with me as we explore whether blogging is still relevant in the age of TikTok and Instagram.
Blogging Provides Extensive Content
One of the most important benefits of blogging is its ability to deliver detailed and thorough information. While TikTok and Instagram are fantastic for fast, aesthetically attractive material, they sometimes lack the depth required to adequately examine complicated issues. Bloggers have the freedom to dive deeply into topics, providing unique insights, analysis, and knowledge. Blogs, for example, are frequently the go-to source for learning about the history of a specialized activity, comprehending the complexities of a complicated subject, or delving into the specifics of a scientific topic. Bloggers may use research, data, and personal experiences to generate authoritative material that teaches and informs their readers (Wainwright, 2022).
Blogging increases trust and authority.
Individuals and corporations may use blogging to promote themselves as experts or opinion leaders in their respective professions. Consistent, high-quality blog material may help your readers gain confidence and credibility. Readers frequently see bloggers as trustworthy sources of information, which may lead to increased influence and possibilities. Blogs, in contrast to the fast-paced, transitory nature of social media, build a long-lasting online presence. A well-maintained blog may become a useful resource and reference point for your readers over time. This trust and authority may lead to devoted fans, brand recognition, and prospective partnerships (Agrawal, 2016).
Organic traffic is driven by blogs.
Blog material is highly valued by search engines. You improve your chances of ranking higher in search engine results pages (SERPs) by writing informative, relevant, and well-optimized blog content. This is true because I have encountered this before. Not to bring the mood down or be a party pooper, but I’ve just gone through a pretty rough breakup a few months back, and as a Gen Z individual during that period of time, the first thing that I did was to go online to look up on how to deal with it and to get answers and advice. The first few things that popped up when I did this were blogs. This implies that individuals who are actively looking for information on a certain topic might find your site naturally. Social media sites, on the other hand, rely primarily on algorithms to expose your content to your fans. You may draw a constant stream of organic visitors to your website by consistently posting SEO-friendly blog entries, perhaps reaching a larger and more engaged audience than you would on TikTok or Instagram (Pitre, 2021).
Blogs are adaptable.
Whereas TikTok and Instagram are mostly focused on video and photos, blogs provide greater flexibility in terms of content type. Text, photos, videos, infographics, and other multimedia components can be used in blog postings. This adaptability enables you to accommodate to various learning styles and captivate a wide audience. Blogs can act as a centralized center for all of your material. They may be used to supplement your social media efforts by connecting to blog posts from your TikTok or Instagram accounts. This type of cross-promotion can help you increase your internet visibility and bring visitors to your site (Ruth, 2023).
To sum everything all up, in todays age with TikTok and Instagram around, blogging still remains valuable and relevant. This is because it offers in depth content that helps to to built authority and trust, provides versatility as well as drives organic traffic in terms of content format.  We should embrace it and consider it a complimentary tool that can enhance our online influence, credibility and presence rather than seeing blogging as a competitor to these two social media platforms. So even though Tiktok and Instagram have their own strong points, we should not underestimate the power of blogging to connect, educate and inform with a audience in meaningful ways. If one has knowledge, stories or insights to share with others, blogging in the platform that provides an important space for voices to be heard.

Is Blogging Still It??
What is a blog? The word "blog" has permeated our online experience in the digital age, influencing how we access information, exchange ideas, and connect with people around the world. A blog, which is short for "weblog," is a dynamic and adaptable online platform where people, companies, and organisations can express themselves, share their knowledge, skills, and experiences, and interact with a large audience. According to Caroline Forley (2023), blogging can help you establish your online authority in a certain field and bring in more qualified leads to all of your website's pages. The term "weblog" was created in 1997 by Robot Wisdom blogger Jorn Barger to describe his method of "logging the web" while he browsed the internet. Programmer Peter Merholz first abbreviated "weblog" to "blog" in 1999 (Caroline Forley,2023). As we go more into the world of blogging, we can determine that there are many types of blogs such as blogs about cars, food, motorcycle and many more.
Tumblr media
Regarding the main topic, “is blogging still relevant in the age of TikTok and Instagram?”. In my fair opinion, I do believe that blogging is still relevant in this modern age. According to Polly Cover(2023), she stated that numerous studies have shown that people read blogs daily, and her personal experiences as a blog author support this. Asides from that, blogging used to be more of an online diary. Today, blogging is mostly used for marketing or earning money via ad revenue (Polly Cover,2023). While short-form, aesthetically pleasing content on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram has become extremely popular, blogging offers a distinctive and long-lasting area for in-depth, long-form, and specialised content.
Blogging in this modern society also brings us to another point which is, a blog can be a form of journalism. Blogging has a higher ground in the world of social media such as Tik Tok and Instagram. The majority of journalist do not blog but some do and it is called Weblog (Paul Andrews,2003). Bloggers who strive for truth, reliability, and impartiality in their reporting have adopted journalistic practises. Some blogs are renowned for their thorough reporting and excellent investigative journalism. Regardless to all mentioned above, a blog's content, intent, and the blogger's strategy will determine if it qualifies as journalism. While some blogs may have a journalistic bent, blogging as a medium is more varied and adaptable, allowing people to communicate with audiences in a variety of ways and express themselves in ways that go beyond what is typically allowed in traditional journalism.
The variety of content is another reason why blogging is still significant in the age of Tik Tok and Instagram.  Blogs can contain text, passages, images, video, graphics in different forms and other types of media. However, we are only given the option of sharing either photos or videos to Tik Tok and Instagram. Additionally, each Instagram post can only contain a limited number of photographs on a single post. Videos on the other hand can only be one minute long. If the video is longer than a minute however, the video would be turned into a reel and be less likely to gain the attention span of people. If blogs want to gain more viewers, keywords and SEO (search engine optimization) must be a part of the strategy before getting started (Megan Marrs,2022). Other than that, a striving blog can be better than content on Instagram and Tik Tok due to eye catching headlines.
youtube
In conclusion, a blog is a dynamic and adaptable medium that keeps playing a big part in the online world. It provides a platform for individuals, companies, and organisations to communicate with a global audience about their ideas, knowledge, experiences, and creativity. Although the popularity of TikTok and Instagram has highlighted new kinds of content creation, blogging is still relevant and important for several reasons. Blogging is a testament to the continuing power of long-form material, careful topic study, and the creation of online communities in an ever-evolving digital world. Blogging continues to be a useful and complimentary tool for individuals wishing to enlighten, engage, and connect with their audiences on a deeper level as content creators continue to adapt and combine other mediums into their online presence. Even though blogging is different from traditional journalism, it can include journalistic practises if bloggers follow the rules of ethics and reporting.

` Is blogging still relevant in today's age of TikTok and Instagram? ' Let's talk about it
Tumblr media
Let's start by understanding what is exactly `blogging'.
'blogging' refers to when users create blog posts which are then published on a website (Indeed editorial team 2023). The blogs are usually long in terms of content and are focused on a specific topic. Blogs can be used for personal interest or professionally that highlight niche or specific topics whether in the form of articles or media that are posted for the community to read.
Let's discuss how blog is used why it is popular and how does it fare at different times. Firstly blog content is often updated which means its information is always up to date. Secondly, Blogs encourage engagement amongst communities who have a common interest in specific topics being said blogs allow more conversations and interaction than a typical website does (Duermyer 2022). This implies that communication can be maintained with the audience. Blogging helps to accelerate audiences when they are interested in such topics. Since blogging is all about long-form content it is known that blog content can be beneficial for marketing purposes and is well-known for enhancing or increasing search engine optimization (SEO) ( Blogger 2021). Finally, blogging is crucial when it comes to marketing and SEO as mentioned, examples are how blogs help create brand visibility. Another benefit would be how blogs can help grow brand awareness and build loyal and trust as the ability to discuss matters such as information, feedback, and advice is provided ( Hines 2022).
Tumblr media
TikTok? Instagram?
Instagram launched in 2010 and has been reported to have gained around 3 million users in just 4 and half months after its launch. It was initially available to Apple users but in 2012 it was released for Android OS and thus gained 50 million users within the month of that release (Big 3 Media 2021). As time goes by Instagram offers appealing marketing tools as well as monetization such as sponsored posts and advertising which makes it an attractive social media platform.
Instagram or any other similar social media is easier to start than blogging as it requires a short-content form, provides excellent networking features, and tends to move faster than blogging. Throughout the year Instagram has been finding methods that are comparable to its competitors such as Snapchat or TikTok to sustain its core users in terms of retaining short-span attention and better communication forms (Big 3 Media 2021).
TikTok on the other hand is a uniquely different platform and is very opposite of how blogging works. TikTok is in a short-form video format with users who can add sounds and make videos of various contents that adhere to the restrictions and rules.
What is the history of TikTok and who uses it?
TikTok Was created by a Chinese company called Bytedance in 2016 and is named Douyin in China but is known as TikTok in other countries.
TikTok is focused on providing micro-entertainment and distractions for the market. The application also applies an algorithm in terms of whether users like that video thus making it appear more frequently in their 'for you' page. Educational and business-oriented content is also emerging and popular in the use of TikTok besides entertainment ( Daniel 2022).
Statistics!!!
TikTok had more than 3 billion downloads and more than 1 billion monthly users as of January 2022.
The most downloaded app internationally in 2020 and 2021 was TikTok.
TikTok users are mostly between the ages of 16 and 24 (60%)
The average age of TikTok's global viewership is under 34.
With users in more than 150 countries, the TikTok app is accessible worldwide.
On average, users of the TikTok app spend 52 minutes per day using it.
Tumblr media
CONCLUSIONS?
Now is blogging dead and is no longer relevant with the appearing social media of right now especially popular ones like Instagram?
Tumblr media
The answer is a definite
NO
In a nutshell, blogging is still relevant throughout the year until now. Report shows that blogs are on of many forms of content used within content strategy (Singla 2023). In fact it is the second most used form of primary content with videos being the first. Blogging platforms begin to evolve and move forward just as other social media platform to keep up with their competitors social platforms. Blogs will be everlasting in the unforeseen future as the format really emphasized on engagement and retention. According to Singla, statistics on blogs percentage usage shows out of estimated 1.7 billion websites out in the world, roughly 600 millions are in the shape of blogs. Thus we can say Blogs are still relevant even in this age where other social media platforms are popular.
My personal take
I think that blogs is uniquely different compare to other formats of content of social media. The idea of discussing a specific or niche topic in the form of long-content really brings out the passion or interest in communities or users. As the possibility to share or discuss information among selves brings out even more connectivity and networking for the audiences of blogs. Blogs are sure to last a while and continue to be effective in terms of gaining insights, information or marketing purposes.

SEO Trends in 2023 & Its Impact on Search Visibility
SEO is an ever-changing game. In 2023, huge innovations in search engine algorithms are coming up! Each major update will have the potential to impact website visibility!
With major updates, will come the decrease in ranking of improperly maintained or unresponsive websites, as well as websites containing poor quality content.
In this article, our SEO expert went through the predictions of major Search Engine Algorithm updates.
As an SEO agency, we keep an eye on how Search Engine Algorithm affects the ranking of our clients and will provide you with the 5 main types of SEO game-changer updates.
Google isn’t the only search engine, but when it comes to innovation, they lead the way. Google is aware of the practice of some digital marketers and so-called SEO experts practicing black hat SEO, the practice of dubious SEO techniques, against search engine guidelines, used to get a fast ranking in search engine algorithms.
Black hat SEO success is often short-term, though, as Google tends to penalise websites affected by such practice.
Blog table of content:
Depth of content over length
Backlinks will still be important
Human-generated content v/s AI content
There will be one more E in E-A-T
Will require improved user experience
In Conclusion
1. Depth of content over length
In other words, quality over quantity! Content depth is the measure of coverage of authenticity and wholeness of topic. A minimum length is necessary, but the quality of the content is the most important.
But why does it matter to Search Engines?
Google prefers content written by domain experts, relevant to search queries, that explains the whole topic, and is engaging. The simpler and more thorough the content is, the better experience it can provide.
In-depth content also attracts natural backlinks and builds high domain authority. Webpages with thin content often don’t describe the entire topic or context.
Even for eCommerce websites, it’s important to have sufficient and relevant information on each product page.
Furthermore, pages with in-depth content index faster on Google.
2. Backlinks will still be important
Backlinks will continue to be important because it helps Search Engines understand the E-A-T (Expertise, Authority, and Trustworthiness) of website.
Getting backlinks for the sake of it is a dangerous strategy. Low-quality and spammy backlinks will hurt your ranking in the long term.
Google uses algorithms that detect spammy backlinks. According to Google’s SPAM policy, Google considers links as an important ranking factor and monitors backlinks created with the intention to manipulate rankings.
3. Human-generated content v/s AI content
Let’s understand it from user’s perspective. Do you know why users search on Google? They want actionable advice or quick solutions to their problems.
AI content tends to be more generic than specific. Human-generated content has real-life experience. And experience speaks!
AI content has a lack of accuracy, creativity, and depth. As explained earlier, depth of content is important for Google.
Human-generated content performs better when it comes to engagement. Although AI content is inexpensive, it violates Google’s guidelines. And can potentially damage your website’s reputation.
Google considers AI content spam and penalizes websites with AI-generated content. For organic ranking, AI content is a big NO!
Instead, we should focus on adding value to the readers. In that way, you can help users and create brand recognition.
Google will continue to improve algorithms to detect AI content and emphasize human-generated unique and in-depth content.
4. There will be one more E in E-A-T
E-A-T (Expertise, Authority, and Trustworthiness) term has been popular since 2018. It is the measure of a website’s topical expertise. Having E-A-T on your website is helpful for organic ranking.
In 2022, Google added “Experience” to define content’s strength. And for upcoming years, it is going to be crucial. Google emphasizes it more for health and pharmaceutical niches.

While large follower counts can indicate popularity, engagement rate is a more critical metric for influencer SEO marketing success. Micro-influencers, despite having smaller follower bases, often have higher engagement rates, making them valuable for niche marketing.
Micro vs. Macro Influencers
Micro-influencers (10,000 to 100,000 followers) typically have more engaged audiences compared to macro-influencers (over 100,000 followers). Brands increasingly collaborate with micro-influencers for their authenticity and strong community bonds.

The fashion and beauty industry heavily relies on influencers for product launches, tutorials, and reviews. Influencers in this sector can significantly impact trends and consumer preferences.
Technology
Tech influencers provide valuable insights through reviews and unboxings. Their expert opinions can guide consumer decisions in a rapidly evolving industry.
Health and Wellness
Health and wellness influencers promote products and lifestyles that resonate with audiences seeking to improve their well-being. Their endorsements can drive substantial engagement and sales.
Travel
Travel influencers inspire wanderlust and provide practical travel tips. Their content can influence destination choices and travel-related purchases.
Challenges in Influencer Marketing
Authenticity Concerns
Maintaining authenticity is crucial in influencer marketing. Audiences can quickly discern inauthentic endorsements, which can damage both the influencer’s and the brand’s credibility.
FTC Regulations
Compliance with FTC regulations is essential to ensure transparency. Influencers must disclose sponsored content to avoid legal repercussions and maintain trust with their audiences.
Measuring Success
Quantifying the success of influencer campaigns can be challenging. Brands must use a combination of metrics such as engagement rates, conversion rates, and ROI to evaluate effectiveness.
Future Trends
AI and Influencer Marketing
AI is set to revolutionize influencer marketing by providing advanced analytics and matching algorithms. AI can help brands identify the best influencers for their campaigns based on data-driven insights.
Virtual Influencers
Virtual influencers, created using AI and CGI, are emerging as a unique trend. These digital personas offer complete control over brand messaging and can engage with audiences around the clock.
Long-Term Partnerships
Brands are moving towards long-term partnerships with influencers to build deeper connections and more consistent messaging. These relationships can yield better results compared to one-off collaborations.

Digital Marketing Trends
As of my last update in January 2022, digital marketing trends were constantly evolving. Here are some trends that were prominent at that time, and which could still be relevant in 2024, though there may have been further developments:
Personalization: Tailoring marketing efforts to individual preferences and behaviors remains a significant trend. Utilizing data analytics and AI, marketers were (and likely still are) creating highly personalized experiences for customers across various digital channels.
Video Marketing: Video content continued to dominate digital platforms. Short-form videos (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels) were gaining popularity, and live streaming was becoming increasingly common for brands to engage with their audiences in real-time.
Voice Search Optimization: With the rise of smart speakers and virtual assistants, optimizing content for voice search became crucial. Marketers were adapting their SEO strategies to include more conversational keywords and long-tail phrases.
AI and Automation: Artificial intelligence and automation tools were (and probably still are) being used to streamline marketing processes, analyze data more efficiently, personalize content, and enhance customer service through chatbots and virtual assistants.
Social Commerce: Social media platforms were (and likely still are) expanding their e-commerce capabilities, allowing businesses to sell directly to consumers without leaving the app. Features like Instagram Shopping and Facebook Marketplace were gaining traction.
User-Generated Content: Brands were (and probably still are) leveraging user-generated content to build trust and authenticity with their audiences. Encouraging customers to create and share content related to their products or services remained a powerful marketing strategy.
Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR): AR and VR technologies were (and likely still are) being used to create immersive brand experiences. From virtual try-on experiences to interactive product demonstrations, these technologies were enhancing engagement and driving sales.
Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Consumers were (and probably still are) increasingly conscious of the environmental and social impact of the brands they support. Companies were incorporating sustainability and CSR initiatives into their marketing efforts to resonate with socially conscious consumers.
Micro-Moments: With the prevalence of smartphones, marketers were (and likely still are) capitalizing on micro-moments – those brief instances when consumers turn to their devices to learn, discover, or buy something. Being present and providing relevant content during these moments remained crucial.
Data Privacy and Compliance: With the implementation of regulations like GDPR and CCPA, data privacy and compliance were (and likely still are) top priorities for marketers. Building trust with consumers by ensuring the proper handling of their data remained essential.
While these trends were relevant in 2022, it's essential to stay updated on the latest developments and emerging trends in digital marketing as the landscape continues to evolve.

What is ChatGpt? Does ChatGPT Content is Good for SEO
Tumblr media
Introduction
Content is crucial when it comes to search engine optimisation for your website. A potent conversational AI tool called ChatGpt has been making waves in the tech industry. The way we engage with AI is being revolutionised by ChatGpt’s cutting-edge capabilities and simple interface. In this post, we’ll examine ChatGpt’s capabilities and how they could revolutionise conversational AI.
What is ChatGpt?
ChatGpt, a powerful conversational AI tool that uses natural language processing. Simply put – you can ask Chat GPT a question, and it will give you an answer. Using the GPT language models, it can answer your questions, write copy, draft emails, hold a conversation, explain code in different programming languages, translate natural language to code, and more.
Who created ChatGPT?
It was developed by OpenAI, an artificial intelligence and research company. The company launched ChatGPT on November 30, 2022. It was founded in 2015 by a group of entrepreneurs and researchers including Elon Musk and Sam Altman.
How does ChatGPT work for writing?
The Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT), a language model architecture developed by OpenAI, powers ChatGPT. A sizable corpus of text data from the internet serves as the basis for ChatGPT’s initial pre-training.
A prompt, a question, or a context from which to generate text can be given to ChatGPT as input text in order to use it for writing. This enables ChatGpt to produce responses that are not only meaningful and human-like, but also grammatically sound.
What are ChatGPT’s Benefits and Limitations?
Benefits:
Content Generation
Idea Generation
Handling Repetitive Tasks
Language Translation
Summarization
Copywriting
From content creation to customer support. There are so many benefits highlight the versatility and potential applications of ChatGPT across various sectors and tasks. ChatGPT can generate high-quality content on various topics, including articles, blog posts, marketing materials, and more. It can manage repetitive tasks like answering frequently asked questions.
Limitations:
Factual Accuracy
Lack of Common Sense
No Personal Experience or Emotions
No Real Understanding
Limited Knowledge
Excessively Repetitiveness
Before using ChatGPT efficiently, it is necessary to understand its limitations. It would have been able to properly understand the information and events happening after 2021. Because ChatGPT’s technologies are still being worked on, information must still be reviewed and edited by humans to make it read more naturally and sound like human writing.
Does ChatGPT Content is Good for SEO?
The relationship between ChatGPT and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is important because ChatGPT can be a useful tool for writing SEO content and optimizing your website for better Google rankings.
1. Keyword Research and Optimization: Keywords are the foundation of SEO. Generally, we know the primary keywords of the topic but for a better content writing that can be rank high on Google, it is necessary to add some relevant keywords in that content, which we also know as LSI keywords.
2. High-Quality Content: If you have relevance keywords from the topic then ChatGPT can assist in generating high-quality content, but it’s important to ensure that the content is well-structured, informative, and valuable to your audience.
3. Content Variety and Updates: Search engines pay attention to content variation and updates. Regularly updating your website’s content is an SEO best practice. ChatGPT can assist in generating fresh and relevant updates, helping you maintain your website’s SEO performance.
4. Structured Data: Implementing structured data (Schema markup) is another SEO strategy, by providing search engines with detailed information about your content they can create rich snippets in SERP.
5. Long-Form and In-depth Content: Longer articles or blogs often perform well in SEO. ChatGPT can quickly provide information and explanations on a wide range of topics. If you have a basic concept but need to develop it into a comprehensive article or report.
Final Thoughts,
ChatGPT can be a valuable tool for generating content, However, it’s important to note that it is a tool and not a replacement for a comprehensive SEO strategy. Successful SEO also involves technical optimization, quality backlinks, website speed, and user experience, among other factors.

Content Marketing Trends: Creating Valuable Content in 2023
Tumblr media
2023 is just around the corner, and new content marketing trends come with it. What will be the next big thing in this widespread industry? Or will the new trends revolutionize how we approach creating and distributing content? Or simply provide us with new tools like Brand24 to listen to what others say about your content? These trends must be analyzed to see which content marketing strategy you want to use in the upcoming year. As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, I can provide some general insights into content marketing trends that were prevalent at that time. However, please note that the field of digital marketing evolves rapidly, and it's recommended to check for the latest information to ensure the most up-to-date strategies. Here are some potential trends for creating valuable content in 2023:
Video Dominance: Video content was gaining prominence, and this trend likely continued into 2023. Platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram continue to be popular, and businesses are leveraging these channels for engaging and shareable video content.
Interactive Content: Interactive content, such as polls, quizzes, and surveys, has been increasingly used to enhance user engagement. It provides a more personalized experience, encouraging audience participation and interaction with the brand.
AI-Generated Content: Artificial Intelligence and machine learning tools may play a more significant role in content creation. These technologies can be utilized to analyze data, identify trends, and generate content ideas tailored to specific audiences.
Voice Search Optimization: With the rise of smart speakers and voice-activated search, optimizing content for voice queries has become crucial. Content creators are focusing on conversational and long-tail keywords to align with the way people speak.
Personalization and User-Centric Content: Content that is tailored to the individual preferences and needs of the audience tends to perform better. Personalization can involve using data analytics to understand customer behavior and create content that resonates with specific segments.
Sustainability and Social Responsibility: Consumers are increasingly conscious of environmental and social issues. Brands that incorporate sustainability and social responsibility into their content may connect better with their audience. This can include content about eco-friendly practices, corporate social responsibility initiatives, and ethical business practices.
Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR): AR and VR technologies can provide immersive and interactive experiences. Content marketers may explore incorporating these technologies to create unique and memorable brand experiences.
Long-Form Content: While bite-sized content is popular, long-form content that provides in-depth insights and value is still relevant. This can include comprehensive guides, whitepapers, and detailed blog posts.
Ephemeral Content: Content that is available for a short duration, such as Instagram Stories and Snapchat, can create a sense of urgency and FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). This type of content is often authentic and raw, contributing to a more genuine connection with the audience.
Better SEO Strategies
Anybody in the content marketing field will quickly tell you that SEO is important. It’s become so significant that it’s now one of the key pillars of any good content strategy. However, as the world of search engine optimization develops, so do the best practices. To stay ahead of the curve, content marketers need to be constantly updated on the latest SEO changes. Luckily, plenty of resources available online can help with this. However, many people can become SEO experts or use newer SEO AI tools to help them. Trends to Know for 2023
Omnichannel Marketing & Repurposing Content
The average internet user spends seven hours a day cycling through a variety of media channels, from looking at Instagram on their phone to watching television on their laptop to reading emails on their tablet.
This means that the journey a customer takes from first hearing about your brand to actually buying something might involve everything from reading your emails to watching your Instagram stories to clicking an ad they see on Facebook to finally reaching and making a purchase on your website.
An omnichannel marketing approach wisely takes this all into consideration and aims to create a cohesive brand experience from channel to channel that will capture as many users as possible and convert them into sales.
Promo tip: Easily adjust videos to fit the right specs for the different social media platforms with Promo’s video maker.
Personalized Video
It’s no secret that video is a key part of any content marketing strategy. It’s the most popular type of content, with 73% of people saying they’d prefer to watch a short video in order to learn about a product or service.
But what’s the new frontier for video content in 2023? Well, as personalization becomes a growing trend all around the internet, personalized video emerges as an exciting new way to make each user and customer feel seen and understood by your brand. Personalized video technology can use multiple sources of user data to create a video that is specifically targeted to the person who’s viewing it. This exciting innovation is a great way to deliver the personalized experiences that expect.
Interactive Video
One of the biggest social media marketing trends for 2023 is interaction, but that doesn’t only start and end with interactive Instagram stories. Did you know that you can also create interactive videos that help create a conversation with your audience to better engage them?
With interactive videos, the viewer gets to be an active participant instead of a passive one, taking actions such as clicking, dragging, scrolling, inputting data, taking quizzes, and taking different paths to choose the content they watch. As you can imagine, this adds even more interest and engagement to what is already an incredibly engaging medium.
Video Automation
Keeping up with the recommended content publishing schedule of anywhere from one post per week on YouTube to one per day on LinkedIn can be challenging and costly, especially when you’re working with limited resources. However, the new emerging trend of video automation allows you to simplify and speed up the video creation process by taking advantage of automation technology.
For example, let’s say you want to create a series of product videos with the same basic format but minor differences in text and images. Video automation software will essentially do the work of creating these variations for you, helping you to scale your content creation process and become much more efficient.
Short-Form Vertical Video
It wouldn’t be 2023 if we didn’t take a moment to discuss short-form vertical video, one of the most important marketing trends to have emerged in recent years. Pioneered by TikTok and currently used by multiple platforms including Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, short-form vertical videos are a dominant force in today’s internet landscape. They represent a more casual, authentic approach to content marketing that allows you to build a sense of community and connection with your audience. Best of all, they’re quite easy to make, requiring little more than a smartphone and the in-app editing features these platforms offer.
Empathetic, Relatable Content
As TikTok has come to dominate social media, it’s ushered in an age in which the kind of polished, professional quality that audiences used to expect from brand content is being replaced with a desire for more empathy, humanity, and authenticity. This is especially relevant as we That’s why it’s so important to aim to create content that breaks down the barriers between you and your audience rather than raising you up on a pedestal of “professionalism.” The more you can be genuine, admit to struggles, and show transparency, the more your audience will be able to relate to you. And it’ll pay off 75% of consumers say that they would pay more to support genuine brands.
Topic Authority
Search engine optimization remains one of the best ways to get your content in front of as many eyes as possible. So, what is the algorithm these days? Two things in particular you should know about.
First, just like human audiences, SEO algorithms in 2023 are seeking out more human content. We know it seems paradoxical, but despite being machines themselves, search engine algorithms are prioritizing content that real human users will like, meaning that it’s less about the keywords and more about producing high-quality content with real value.
Second, the algorithm rewards content that can demonstrate authority about any given topic. Ideally, your content will be the best, number one, go-to resource about the keyword you’re ranking for, with lots of internal and external links and high-quality information that leads to high engagement metrics and click-through rates.
High-Quality Research
In order to become a topic authority, your content strategy will require a commitment to thorough research. Not only will it please the SEO algorithms, but it’s also important to modern audiences, who are wary and suspicious of fake news and want to know that they are reading content backed by research and data.
Using research, you find online is fantastic, but if you can conduct and publish original research in-house, that’ll really make you stand out amongst the crowd and help you get backlinks which will, in turn, improve your SEO even more.
Podcasts
While podcasts are nothing new, they are certainly still climbing toward their peak, with the number of global podcast listeners expected to grow to 464.7 million in 2023. If you can create an interesting podcast that provides real value to your listeners – whether that’s in the form of entertainment, education, comedy, or something else – you’ll be able to grow an audience that can easily convert into sales. Indeed, 60% of podcast listeners report that they’ve searched for a product after hearing about it on a podcast. Additionally, we also recommend keeping an eye on the development of other
By learning how other businesses are integrating their brand experience into the virtual world, you’ll be able to come up with ideas for how you might be able to create experiential, immersive experiences that connect with audiences in a new way. This way, by the time the tech becomes more accessible, you’ll hopefully be ready to jump on it.
Making Trends Your Own
Remember that just because a certain content type or channel is trending in 2023 doesn’t mean that you absolutely have to use it. We encourage you to evaluate all of the trends on this list and think of which of them are relevant to your brand and accessible for your resources. From there, you can do
further research into the trends that you might want to implement this year in order to modernize and update your content strategy to remain relevant while staying true to your brand.

Digital marketing tips for small businesses – Part 3
7. Understand and improve your SEO
No digital marketing strategy is complete without SEO consideration, which is why you need to ensure you have people working in your small business that are knowledgeable in this area.
In its simplest form, good SEO best practice utilises keywords on your website to help drive performance and ensure your website ranks higher in online search results. By doing so, your business is more likely to be recognised and traffic to your website will increase.
SEO can also help your small business by:
Building trust with your customers
Organically improving your visibility
Boosting your credibility
Maximising paid marketing strategies
Expanding your reach
Improving website usability
Driving user engagement rates.
SEO-incorporated content should always be impactful and traffic-driven, which is why so many businesses now employ SEO specialists. However, if your small business is constrained to a tight budget, then detailed SEO guides will help you master the basics.
8. Target a social media channel that’s best for your business
Increasingly, social media is becoming one of the most important tools a business can use as part of its digital marketing strategy, as people spend an average of 151 minutes per day on social media platforms.
However, it’s not as simple as just sending out the same post across multiple platforms and expecting good results, as you need to tailor your posts to a particular platform and the audience it attracts. For example, B2B companies may favour LinkedIn, while B2C businesses will likely have more success posting on Instagram.
Therefore, you should aim to target the social media platform that is most relevant to your business and is used by your target audience. It’s always better to excel at one particular platform than do an average job across multiple social media channels, so make sure you identify the platform that is most appropriate for your small business and put more of your energy into making it a success.
Due to the fact social media is a free, easy tool to use, this digital marketing tip is great for startups that are tight on budget and resources.
9. Develop email marketing
Despite the rise in social media and other similar digital marketing tools, email marketing is still a fundamental part of any successful digital marketing strategy.
Regardless of age, just about everyone uses an email, which means you have the opportunity to expand your reach and target people of all demographics and backgrounds. However, it’s important that you’re emailing the right people that are interested in what your business offers.
Monthly newsletters, promotions, news, and competitions are all great ways of engaging with your audience through emails. It’s also a great low-cost option that allows you to customise and personalise your messaging to help your brand connect with its target audience on a deeper level.
10. Get in touch with local influencers
Our list of digital marketing tips for small businesses concludes with one of the most effective marketing tools available to companies looking to make an impact in a modern, digital age. Reaching out to influencers is a great way of getting your small business recognised and boosting publicity.
Here are some enlightening statistics from a recent report by Influencer Marketing Hub that highlight the growth in influencer marketing:
Influencer marketing grew to $16.4 billion in 2022
Businesses are making $5.2 ROI for every $1 spent on influencer marketing
67% of brands use Instagram for influencer marketing.
In order to make this strategy successful, you need to think about which influencers are right not just for your business, but also for your target audience. It can be challenging to find someone famous who is not only well-known among your audience but also passionate about your brand and what it represents.
Whether it’s giveaways and discounts or brand ambassadors and collaborations, partnering with influencers will undoubtedly improve your business’s visibility and get people talking online.

Importance of Google Ads in Digital Marketing
Google Ads, previously known as Google AdWords, is an incredibly important tool in the world of digital marketing.
It is an advertising platform offered by Google that allows businesses to display their ads on Google's search engine results page (SERP), as well as on other websites that are part of Google's display network.
It is also frequently referred to as paid search advertising, search engine advertising, or PPC advertising.
So, why Google Ads is important in digital marketing?
Let me break it down for you.
Do you know? - “80% of brands use some form of paid advertisement. Google Ads are perfect if you know that your target audience is searching the web for your product or solution” – HubSpot
Google Ads in Digital Marketing:
1. First and foremost, Google Ads offers businesses the opportunity to reach a vast audience. Google is the most popular search engine in the world, with billions of searches conducted every single day.
By running ads on Google Ads, businesses can tap into this massive user base and get their brand in front of potential customers.
2. One of the major advantages of Google Ads is its targeting capabilities. With this platform, businesses can choose specific keywords that are relevant to their products or services.
When users search for these keywords, the business's ads will appear, increasing the chances of attracting qualified leads.
Additionally, Google Ads offers various targeting options, such as location targeting, device targeting, and demographic targeting, allowing businesses to narrow down their audience even further.
3. Another reason why Google Ads is so important is its flexibility.
Businesses can set their own budget and adjust it as needed. This means that whether you have a small or large marketing budget, you can still benefit from using Google Ads.
But remember that greater budgets yield better results, even though they can be reduced by ongoing optimization and data analysis.
Additionally, you only pay when someone clicks on your ad, making it a cost-effective option compared to traditional forms of advertising.
“In 2022, the average cost-per-click (CPC) across social media was $2.27. The average CPC for Google Ads was $2.61 in 2022” – Klaviyo
4. The data and insights provided by Google Ads are invaluable for businesses.
The platform offers detailed analytics that allows businesses to track the performance of their ads and make data-driven decisions.
You can see metrics such as click-through rate (CTR), conversion rate, return on investment (ROI), and many more giving you a clear picture of how your ads are performing and where you can make improvements.
Google Ads Account's Campaigns Structure:
Tumblr media
5. Furthermore, Google Ads can complement other digital marketing strategies.
For example, if you are running SEO campaigns to improve your organic search rankings, Google Ads can help you achieve faster results by appearing at the top of the search results page while your organic rankings are being built.
Put differently, Google Ads have an indirect impact on SEO performance both during the ad campaign and in the long term, primarily through enhanced business or brand awareness and exposure.
6. If you're aiming for quick outcomes, Google Ads can be a solid option, although it's important to note that, in recent times, experts have noted an overall increase in cost per click [CPCs].
“The average cost per click in Google Ads in 2023 is $4.22” – WordStream
7. Based on my research, according to recent studies, Google Ads consistently ranks among the top three highly effective marketing channels for delivering a favorable return on investment (ROI).
In conclusion, the importance of Google Ads in digital marketing is significant and its potential is worth mentioning.
It allows businesses to reach a wide audience, target specific keywords and demographics, and provide valuable data and insights for optimization.
By leveraging the power of Google Ads, businesses can enhance their online presence and drive more traffic and conversions.
So if you're looking to boost your digital marketing efforts, don't overlook the importance of Google Ads.

Is blogging still relevant in the age of TikToks and Instagram?
Blogging is still relevant in the era of TikTok and Instagram, and it still has a significant impact on the online environment.
Blogging is about building relationships between writer and reader if they are interested with the topics and provide useful advice.  It helps to positioning blogger as someone they believe and may engage with customers and build conversations (Sanders, K, 2023).
The advantages of blogging is reliability. Blogs are permanent, unlike reels and TikTok videos, which only last a short while. The reason for their longevity is that users find them through search engines, which continue to show them relevant content even after it has gotten a little out of date.
Blogs have a much more potential for ubiquity than reels or TikTok videos. One blog post can be transformed into Facebook and LinkedIn posts, shared as a guest post on other websites. Reels and TikTok videos are dependent on their parent site and are only slightly helpful outside.
The main purpose of reels and TikTok videos is for entertainment. Blogs can help organization accomplish a number of goals at the same time because they can be educational, entertaining, or sales focused.
