005. lame ass | antipathy
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"why do i have to be the designated driver again?" kiyoomi sighed as everyone squeezed into his tesla, which was probably a bit too small to comfortably fit all his roommates.
"because i plan on getting drunk as hell, and i need you to make sure i don't do anything i'll regret and post it on the internet," you replied with a grin, kicking your feet onto his dashboard.
"who's gonna be there again? makki told me he'd show up, but that's obvious, since mattsun is hosting…" tendou groaned, his phone's brightness illuminating his exasperated face possibly from the light pre game they did at home.
"i got invited by yachi. i only know her, mattsun, iwa, and oikawa are for sure making an appearance," kiyoko chimed in, trying to apply her lip gloss with precision.
"oikawa is gonna be there, and he didn't text me? flawed as hell!" you screamed, immediately opening your phone to send an absurd amount of texts.
"and i have to be sober for this," sakusa muttered with a slight frown as he drove steadily toward the party.
meanwhile, in kuroo's car, kenma was complaining to shoyo about kuroo's refusal to stop at a convenience store for the pre game and for his usual drunken snacks.
"bo… please. just give me one shot, i beg," kenma whisper-shouted, trying to pull a small bottle of tito's from his pocket.
"you pervert, stop touching me!" bokuto yelled, unnaturally loud for someone in a beat down suv.
"i hate you," kenma pouted as he stepped out of the car, the music from the house blaring loudly while people slowly filed through the doors and into the backyard.
"hey omi!" shoyo shouted as he spotted kiyoomi propped up against his car.
"hi hinata. what's up?" kiyoomi glanced up, spotting the two-toned haired boy trailing behind shoyo, a mischievous glint immediately appearing in his emerald eyes.
"nothing, why aren't you inside drinking? don't tell me this party is lame," shoyo groaned, bouncing slightly on his heels.
"designated driver for the night and you should know better, mattsun throws 'ragers'. hi kenma," kiyoomi's smile widened as he sent some super inconspicuous messages to the group chat. kenma waved casually, having convinced bokuto to do shots with him, and more focused on plodding into the house.
in the kitchen, kenma immediately grabbed some jello shots from the fridge while bokuto poured an unnatural amount of vodka into a cup. as kenma began downing shots, he attracted attention from multiple people, mattsun and iwa being the first to join in on the fun. once the kitchen got too crowded, kenma wandered to the couch to people-watch in his drunken splendor. as he relaxed, a particular voice began to catch his interest, a voice he had grown to hate.
"omi, he's here. in the flesh, lurking around like a lame ass," you whined, causing kenma's ears to physically perk up.
"i know, i saw his ass and waited until you were drunk enough to tell you. are you going to admit your denial?" omi giggled.
"bro, in denial my ass. he's an asshole, an attractive asshole, but still a big dickhead, and i hate him," you dragged out, the alcohol-induced smile on your face bright.
kenma's eyebrows raised at the conversation before his head turned to catch sight of you in your drunken oblivion. you stood there, your outfit hugging you in all the right places, your hair pinned up with cute bow clips, and that big, beautiful smile catching him off guard.
he wanted to pass this off as a drunken attraction, genuine confusion from the alcohol clouding his judgment. he hated you and the stupid fact that you looked so good right now. above all, he was just intimidated by you whether that be while drunk or just in general. he found himself wondering, why did he even hate you in the first place?
so, he didn't know why he did this, but he did, and his drunken self was more than happy to go along with it.

ׂׂૢ kenma's eyes get blurry when he's drunk because he's a light weight and has no clue how to type properly in general.
ׂׂૢ yn and oikawa are influencer moots, they are actually super close and chat all the time about tea within the influencer community.
ׂׂૢ yachi is alsooo an influencer, except she focuses strictly on fashion and kdrama reacts on her channel and she's closer to kiyoko but also loves yn and they talk/collab often.
ׂׂૢ mattsun and makki are always throwing parties, they usually invite their influencer friends because of oikawa and their volleyball friends always make an appearance.
ׂׂૢ kenma tweeted all of that from the bathroom and fell asleep, kuroo had to collect him while doing his 'roomate roundup'.

how I think CANON kageyama really thinks about romance based on facts
This is more on just character analysis and observation but this is all speculation because if I'm being honest as a former Haikyuu x reader writer, I think he is the most mischaracterized and has potential for a different type of x reader, rather than typical romance.
Also I'm saying this as a Kageyama fan! This is just my thoughts jotted down hehe
I don't think Kageyama really had the chance to experience romance. Ever. I mean I could be wrong but based on what we we've seen there wasn't really time for it or even a single mention on it
Though given multiple chances to show it, he never showed any outright attraction to anyone outside of volleyball. Obviously this is not a shojo manga, it's a sports one but there are still multiple times where some sort of attraction has been shown towards characters.
He is unfazed by Kiyoko in a season 1 scene, he never fawns over any of the managers the way other characters do. (The only exception is when Saeko introduces herself and he and Hinata get excited) this isnt rly important tho, a lot of character dont do this
the only time he has ever been excited or passionate is when it comes to volleyball, the very reason why he stuck so close to hinata in the first place (this could argue for kagehina ((so true)) but that's a separate post lol)
HOWEVER he's also not repulsed by attraction towards him, as shown in the bonus chapter when he's aware that he and Atsumu are referred to by fans as the "Ikemen Players" and that people watch him for that; he says he's all for it because it get's people into volleyball
But the CORE REASON on why I think he never thought about romance is because he outright states in season 4 that he's not good at emotion, and his past. He likely does not know the feeling and even with friends he was still learning on friendship, but he wants to learn! (that's probably why he was so keen on asking oikawa for help in kitagawa-daichii)
Anyway so conclusion as an x reader writer, would he be datable? I mean it's not impossible. After all we hardly see his life outside of volleyball, it would just be challenging, just like getting him to play on a team. In fact it would even be cute to see him think about it.
I wrote all this bc I think it would be interesting to see this kageyama in fics, instead of the usual tsundere/constantly getting mad and embarrassed ver of him (me,,I used to write him like this,,,)
Now how would I write canon Kageyama off with staying true to his given character as much as possible?
I think he would be very calm and nonchalant about it. They've shown us that he's very aware of his emotional weaknesses in understanding but that he's ALWAYS willing to try and connect with others.
So while I think he can most definitely live his life without romance, I think that he is bound to think about it at least once and contemplate it. He might even be open to trying it for the sake of trying something that's so common with others, but in my opinion he will always love volleyball more than anything else, and that's not a terrible thing at all.

🪶 Being Karasuno’s Manager 🪶
Kageyama’s Crush
Tumblr media
Tobin Kageyama featuring Karasuno x gender neutral manager
Warnings: fluff, some light kageyama swearing, a little angst but it all works out 🥰 also this is my sMaLl headcanon set 🙄 zero chill istg
A/N: happy birthday to this sweet little Angel bby 🥹 I decided to do bby kags because LOOKATHOWCUTEHISFACEIS 😭
First, love this for you Yn 😅
You are our second year manager for our feral crows
Literally, these guys might be wInGlEsS cRoWs but they don’t have any trouble finding attractive managers 😍
You were originally going to take over for Kiyoko by yourself but thankfully, our queen found someone to help you out
Of course, you deal with the usual suspects
*cough* NOYA AND TANAKA *cough*
But honestly, you just carry a water bottle at this point to spray them when they act up
Noya and Tanaka 👉🏻 come to our arms sweet Yn 🥰
You 👇🏻
Tumblr media
Honestly bravo for keeping your fellow second years in line Yn 😌
However, when it came to keeping the the toddlers of the team in line, you take a different approach
You see, you have a rather soft spot for our precious first years
I mean, they are freaking adorable 🤩
Especially one in particular…
One, Tobio Kageyama 🙌🏻
You don’t know exactly why, but you seem to get along well with Kageyama
Whether it be sitting next to him during team meetings or helping him practice during individual training
You just seem to understand this mysterious blueberry boi
Naturally, helping Kageyama means hanging out with his bestie, whom he SWEARS is not his bestie but is definitely his bestie, Hinata 😌
By now, you are use to Hinata and Kageyama fighting
Literally, you pretty much just ignore it
You’ve picked up on signals that tell you if Hinata is in immediate danger ⚠️
So, most of the time, Dadchi leaves the handling of Kags and Hinata to you
And while you are happy to help out, Kageyama begins to feel a certain way…
At first, he literally thinks he’s just hungry 😐
No joke, his stomach fills with butterflies and he feels weird when you enter the gym
So naturally, he thinks he’s hungry
🙄 literal idiot istg-
However, he soon starts to feel like maybe it’s more
It’s your laugh, your smile and your jokes
They make him feel warm and happy 🥹
Even when he’s walking with you and Hinata after school, he feels content
At first, it freaks him out
Because like wait, something other than volleyball is making him happy 🤯
Talk about odd…
He doesn’t really understand the feelings he’s having until someone points them out
It’s during a practice match with Date Tech that it first happens
You are busy running around, doing your job when Koganegawa intercepts you
“Hey YN! Could you maybe help me for a second?” He asks, showing you his finger tape that is falling off
“Sure!” You say cheerfully, helping him fix it
Meanwhile, you are joking and laughing with the giant setter, talking about nothing in particular
However 👀 a certain someone is literally GLARING at you
Kageyama doesn’t even try to hide it, his staring holes right thought Koganegawa’s head
Everyone notices it, looking between you and Kageyama until it’s finally all falling into place
The majority of the team is simply flabbergasted that Kageyama has feelings for anything outside of a volleyball
“Oh my god, are you guys seeing this?” Suga says as the team nods in agreement
They aren’t sure what to do because this is completely uncharted territory
Leave it to Hinata to blaze the trail 😌
“Hey crappyama, why are you glaring at Kogane like you want to murder him?” Hinata :D
Kageyama’s neck snaps to Hinata, exorcist style
“This is my normal face dumbass!” Kageyama growls as Hinata stares back
“LIAR!” Tanaka screams
“Looks like the great king has a little crush,” Tsukishima teases
Meanwhile Kageyama is now glaring at his team when you approach
“Hey guys what’s up?” You say as everyone looks to you
“Nothing,” Kageyama says before turning to leave
Poor bby is feeling so much right now ☹️
Sure he finds you cute and fun to be around
But these aren’t feelings he’s had before
And what do we do with new feelings?
That’s right 👏
We push them away and pretend they don’t exist 😃
Ok maybe not but that’s what Kageyama does
Soon he’s ignoring you, literally walking the opposite way when you approach
It’s weird and you start to feel ignored and a little sad
In fact, you even ask Hinata what’s up
“Hey Shoyo, did I say something to upset Tobio? He isn’t talking to me anymore,” you ask
Hinata 👉🏻👁️👄👁️ uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
You 👉🏻🤨
You’ve broke our poor Hinata YN, he’s simply stop malfunctioning because he doesn’t know what to say
He doesn’t want to tell you that Kageyama probably, ok defiantly, likes you
But he also doesn’t want you to feel sad
So he goes with neither and acts completely oblivious
“Umm sorry Yn, I don’t know what’s up with him,” he says before running 🏃‍♂️ away from his problems
You are extremely confused and hurt 😔
This continues for a while, still unsure of what you’ve done to upset Kageyama
One day, you as Yachi to take over for you with helping the super volleyball idiots
“Are you sure Yn?” Yachi asks
“Yeah, I don’t think Kageyama wants me around anymore,” you sigh
Yachi is literally ready to just tell you what she and everyone knows but she knows it’s not her place
So she agrees
When Yachi shows up instead of you, Kageyama is so confused
“Where’s Yn?” He asks as Hinata finally loses it
“Kageyama you really are stupid,” he says as Kageyama grabs him by the collar
“What did you say dumbass?” He says, getting in Hinata face
“You’ve been ignoring YN and now they don’t think you want them around you, that’s why they asked Yachi to be here instead of them!” Hinata yells as Yachi stands there, nodding her head
Kageyama 👉🏻😐😳 💡
Without saying a single word, he RUNS from the gym to find you
He finds you cleaning up in the main gym, as he bolts towards you
***Picture Kageyama racing Hinata for reference 😌****
“YN I LIKE YOU!” He screams as you just stare
You rn 👉🏻👁️👄👁️ whet-
“YN I’m sorry I’ve been ignoring you! It’s because I really like you and we’ll I’ve never felt this way before and I was really confused and WOULD YOU PLEASE GO ON A DATE WITH ME?!?” Kageyama screams as you just stand there
You 👉🏻😳🥹 really?
You drop what your doing, running to him and hugging him so tight
He reciprocates, hugging you against him
“Oh My God Kageyama has feelings!” Tanaka shouts
You 👉🏻😐🙄 Ennoshita…
Ennoshita just smacks him in the back of the head 👋🏻🧑🏼‍🦲
“YN and crappyama sitting in a tree, K I S S I N G!” Hinata sings
“HINATA YOU MORON YOU BETTER RUN!” Kageyama shouts as he takes after Hinata
“YN control you boyfriend!” Daichi shouts
You 👉🏻😐
Seriously Yn, good luck with that one 🫡

At first sight Chapter Thirty-Four
(m!reader x Bonten!Haruchiyo Sanzu)
Fluff/slash/reader is male/cursing/BontenTimeline/drugs and alcohol mentioned/violence/blood/death
All characters that appeared in the Tokyo Revengers manga and anime belong to Ken Wakui.
Words: 3990
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You looked at your reflection in the mirror, once again admiring Kiyoko's work. You actually looked better with makeup than without it, although you thought the woman would just cover up your bruises.
But no...
You washed one half of your face and now you could clearly see that she had applied concealer and powder under your eyes as well... In general, your entire face was made up and you began to wonder how this woman knew how to use cosmetics so that there was no trace of violence.
“He's a wonderful man and, honestly, my first partner who can listen to me.”
By saying this, was she implying that previous partners had raised a hand against her? If so, then she finally found the right man, because you knew that despite his age, Tsuyoshi was able to protect her.
You finished washing your face and gently dried it with a soft towel. You applied your skin care and put on a fresh t-shirt before heading downstairs to the living room, where Haruchiyo Sanzu made himself comfortable on your sofa.
He was scrolling through the photos he took of you on his phone before you insisted on taking a shower. Seeing the satisfied smile on his lips, you felt embarrassed and walked over to the small bar to make yourself a drink.
"Do you want to drink?" You asked without turning to face the man.
"With pleasure." He answered you in a deeper voice and a wave of heat flooded your cheeks. “I'm tempted to set something as my display wallpaper, but the boys will ask way too many questions.”
"Thank God." You grumbled as you walked over to the sofa with drinks in both hands. You handed him the alcohol and his fingers lightly brushed your hand. “So…” You sat down next to him and took a sip from your drink, your tongue and throat starting to tingle in a pleasant way. “Thank you again for driving me to Saitama.”
"There is nothing to talk about." He replied by putting his phone on the coffee table and reaching for the TV remote. “It was quite a nice trip. “Such a little change.”
He started flipping from channel to channel until he found one with news where they were showing some protest. “These people have boring lives.” He commented in a calm voice and popped one of his pills into his mouth.
“Luckily, we don't have to deal with that.”
“Hmm... Sometimes it's a pity, it could be interesting. I even know what I would do with such idiots."
“I don't know if I want to be part of it. I have no shortage of attractions, especially lately.”
"If you say so." He chuckled to himself and placed his legs on your thighs. “Ahh... Way much better.”
You bit the center of your cheek lightly and began to gently trace his foot with your finger. You couldn't help yourself.
"Seriously?" Sanzu asked in amusement as you began to grab each of his toes in your two fingers.
“Shut up and watch your news.” You grumbled as you stroked his skin.
“Did you find out everything you wanted?” He asked after a while.
"Nope. I didn't have time to ask my uncle if he knew why I vaguely remembered Yuji."
“Maybe that's better. Your brain doesn't protect you for no reason.”
You muttered softly and suddenly the coverage of the protest was replaced by other news.
A few hours ago, a woman's body showing signs of torture was found in one of the parks in Setagaya County. The woman was hanged from one of the trees away from the walking path. The deceased was identified as Haruka Uchiyama, whose missing person status is changed to that of a gang victim...
"What?" Your voice was choked and you couldn't believe what you were hearing as your eyes wandered over the picture of Emiko that was displayed. “Did our guys find her?”
"Nothing that I know of." Sanzu moved, changing his position to reach for his phone again.
He dialed a number and after a while he started talking to someone. “What about the bitch?... How is it just a car?” He got up from the sofa and started walking around the living room.
The body was found by a couple living in the area... The police are unable to provide any specific information about the injuries...
“Turn on the TV, they found her in the park. Where? In Setagaya. What? Kakucho... How come the car that escaped us in ended up in Arakawa on the Sumida River?”
You looked up from the TV screen and looked at the pink-haired man. Arakawa? It's almost 23 km from where the body was found... Something was seriously wrong here.
“The car was cleaned…” He said quietly, but you could clearly see a vein pulsing in his temple. He was furious. “Why am I only finding out about this now? Ah... I see... Mikey knows? All right. Thank you, Kakucho.” He hung up and the hand in which he was holding the device began to tremble.
“It's not Bonten's job.” You said and Sanzu shot you a quick glance.
“Yes, but if not us, then who?”
“Yuji. I'm almost 100 percent sure it was his doing."
“But in Setagaya? What was she even doing there?”
“Maybe Yuji had a hideout there?” You thought out loud and drank the rest of your drink.
“And he drove to Arakawa, where he abandoned the car?”
You shrugged. “The easiest way is close to Shibuya…”
"He's circling..." The man muttered after a short while, sitting down on the sofa again.
“Arakawa and Setagaya, it's not circling yet…” You smiled slightly, sensing that there was more to it.
“Suginami, Nakano, Toshima, Adachi and Edogawa.” He said without looking your way.
“Huh?” You blinked a few times, feeling the blood drain from your face.
“These are the places where we heard about suspicious activity.” Haruchiyo explained dispassionately. “Before we could check anything, everything went back to the way it was before, so we ignored subsequent mentions.”
“Fuck, Sanzu…”
“Who could have known? Even now we can't be sure it was that son of a bitch."
“Fuck…” You buried your face in both hands and took a deep breath before exhaling slowly. “My mother's relatives come from Edogawa.”
“What?”
“My mother's family is from Edogawa.” You repeated, running your hands over your face. “I used to have contact with my cousins and aunts, but after Tomoke died... Everything was lost.”
“You have way too many secrets.” You looked at Sanzu, feeling extremely tired.
“Nobody ever asked me about my family. The only thing everyone knew was that my father was a policeman who retired early, but still had connections at various police stations...” You got up from the sofa and went to the bar to pour yourself a drink. "I heard rumors that it was because of my father that I never went to reform school... I don't believe it, because he was always extremely strict with me at home." You tensed and your eyes rested on the window, behind which you saw your big, well-kept garden. “What they knew about Tomoke herself was that she and her friend liked dating older men as escorts.” You huffed a soft laugh and shot a blank glance at the pink-haired man who was watching you from the sofa. “Do you know that I have never heard any objection from my father on this matter? He never, ever broached the subject with her. As if he didn't believe all these rumors or just thought it wasn't a big deal and that she would get over it with time.”
“When I was in Tenjiku, I also heard about a policeman's daughter who likes to have fun, but I didn't associate her with you until the last moment.” Sanzu said in a calm tone, and you shrugged. “I haven't heard much about Mai, though.”
“Because she was the most ordinary, inconspicuous girl and, most importantly, she was already dead. She didn't meet her friends in the city because our mother..." You went to the window and slightly moved the curtain. “Mom wanted to keep an eye on her so that Yuji wouldn't cause any more arguments. I guess she got stuck in it with my father then.” You drank the alcohol again and stroked your fingers through the leaves of the houseplant that stood on the windowsill. “They wanted to protect her, but in the worst way possible. Fuck, you don't know how much I regret that I preferred to leave the house and wander around so as not to look at it.”
“And what would you do?” Haruchiyo asked. “You yourself said that when Mai died, you were only 11 years old.”
"I know. Damn, I know it.” You finished your drink.
“He terrorized your entire immediate family.”
You opened your mouth to agree with him, but... You frowned and turned to your interlocutor to look at him.
“Not all of them. Tomoko didn't let him push her around."
“Are you telling me that your sister had bigger balls than your father?”
“I don't know why, but Yuji had a completely different attitude towards her than towards the rest. Yes, he respected our father in his own way and…” You started gesturing with your hand, searching for the right words, but nothing came to mind. “Let's just say he has special feelings for Mai. He thought I was trash, and he hated my mother with all his heart.”
Sanzu shrugged. “Maybe despite his hatred for your mother, he considered Tomoko his only real sibling? I don't know what to tell you..."
"Maybe you're right. After all, she was the only one who got along with L/n in terms of looks, intelligence….”
“You're not that stupid, don't exaggerate.”
“Thank you, but that's not what I meant.”
"I know."
You looked out the window at your garden again and found yourself wondering whether to build a swing for Yuuta. You huffed, feeling irritated.
“Let's fucking catch him, kill him, close the case and go back to our routine lives.”
“I don't dream of anything else.” Sanzu sighed, putting his hands behind his head and made himself even more comfortable on the sofa. “Maybe call Tsuyoshi again and share your findings with him?”
"What? What for?" You asked, collecting empty glasses from the drinks you had already drunk from the bar and coffee table.
“I don't think he didn't try to find his nephew himself. Maybe it's worth making an exception and starting some cooperation with law enforcement services?”
“Sanzu…”
“Hmm?”
“How many drugs have you taken today?”
The man looked at you questioningly, and for a brief moment you looked at each other in complete silence.
“Are you fucked up?” He finally asked uncertainly.
“I could ask you the same thing.”
“Y/n...”
“Do you know what Mikey might do to me if he found out I was cooperating with the police?”
“You're not cooperating…”
“But you're suggesting I should start.”
“Only for this matter.” He said in a sharper tone and his eyes darkened. “He harmed our interests. He harmed Mikey's business to get to you!” He leaned forward abruptly and glared at you. “I know this is your last chance because I was there with you. Ask Hanma about everything Emiko told him when he questioned her. Even get Kisaki up his fucking ass so he can give you a look at the reports. Remember that there has already been an order placed on your head and another one may appear.”
“Emiko is dead, so are Sugiyama, Kuroda and the rest.”
“We don't know who else is working with Yuu.”
Sanzu was right. You managed to eliminate his pawns, except for the woman, of course, who was probably taken care of by Yuji himself... Not to mention Daisuke, but nothing changed the fact that every time you remembered that dark, icy blank look that Manjiro Sano had given you, a very unpleasant shiver ran down your spine again and again.
“Y/n. Talk to Tsuyoshi.”
“You don't trust him.” You said quietly, looking at the pink-haired man's hands that were hanging freely from his lap.
“But you trust him, and for now, the resumption of contact between the two of you has not resulted in any negative consequences.”
“We don't know that yet.”
“Your uncle knew a son of a bitch. He knows your family's secrets and has the right connections. Do you have a better idea?”
“So far, I've managed to come up with some clues on my own…”
“Rosie has helped you the most so far.” The man interrupted you and you looked up at him. “She's in it as deep as you are.”
"Why do you think so?"
“Because Yuji may try to lure you into any trap using more than just your uncle and son.” There was a dangerous glint in his dilated pupils and the lips you loved to kiss stretched into a cruel smile. “Rosie had the opportunity to meet Sugiyama, do you think she hasn't seen your brother? That no one told him what her connection to you was?”
Your eyes widened with the anxiety and fear building within you.
“Just think, honey. What will Yuji do to your friend if he gets his hands on her?”
“I don't like the tone of your voice, Sanzu.” You confessed quietly, feeling your heart start to beat faster.
"You know me. This is the reality.”
You set the glasses you had been holding on the coffee table and a drop of cold sweat rolled down your temple. You didn't like anything Haruchiyo said, but you knew he was right. Rosie was in as much danger as your uncle, his wife, your son and you.
“Why isn't he trying to get closer to me by using someone from Bonten's upper echelons?”
Sanzu blinked a few times, as if not fully expecting this question, but then he turned his head slightly to the side, his eyes staring at you searchingly.
“Because he knows we'll bite too hard whenever he tries. Besides, it's not Bonten he cares about, it's about you."
You sat down in the armchair next to the sofa where Sanzu was watching you from and clasped your hands together in front of your mouth. You had a lot of thoughts and you had to sort it all out somehow.
“When was the last time you had any contact with this sweet woman?” The man asked in a flat tone.
Your heart sank. “During the prostitute rotation at the hideout.”
The room you were in was so quiet that you could hear the ticking of the clock hanging on the wall. It sounded unbearably loud in your ears, but with each passing second, it was drowned out by the louder and louder sound of your own blood.
It's been a few days since I last talked to Rosie. Several days without a single word, not a single message. Too long for the intimacy of your friendship...
"Call her." Sanzu finally said, the tension in his voice very obvious.
You jumped up from the chair and went to the bar where your phone was lying on the counter and looked for the mobile number of the woman in question in your contacts.
One signal, two, three... “Hello? This is Rosie..."
“Rosie? It's me..."
“... Sorry, I'd like to greet you this way...” You fell silent as you heard the voicemail greeting recording. “...Unfortunately I can't answer at the moment. If it's important, please record your message and I'll call you back. Thank you *beep*”
You looked at your phone screen and hung up.
“What is it?” Haruchiyo asked as he swallowed another pill from his small bottle.
You dialed your friend's phone number again, unfortunately with the same result.
“Y/n?”
“Where is Takeomi?” You asked quietly, ignoring the question being asked.
“How do I know? I'm not interested." Sanzu snorted irritably. "Why are you asking?"
You dialed Akashi's contact number and the man answered on the second ring.
“Yes, Y/n?”
“Sorry to disturb you…”
“Okay, no problem. Was Sanzu on to something?”
“No. It's about Rosie.”
“About Rosie?” The advisor's voice was slightly concerned. "What about her?"
“When was the last time you talked to her?”
There was silence on the other end of the call, and for a moment it occurred to you that Takeomi had lost his previous interest in the woman.
“I talked to her last night. We agreed to meet..."
“Do you know where she is? I can't contact her."
“Ah, she's probably at the beauty salon. She was supposed to go there today.”
"Thank you. I'll try again then.” Takeomi said goodbye to you, still a little surprised, and you hung up.
“What does this motherfucker have to do with Rosie?” Sanzu asked coldly.
“I think they're dating.” You replied, leaving the living room and heading upstairs to get changed to go out.
"My condolences. Hey, where are you going?” The man jumped up from his seat to follow right behind you.
“I know which beauty salon Rosie goes to. I'm going to check if she's there...” You replied, walking into your bedroom and opening the wardrobe full of clothes.
“I absolutely won't let you go alone.” He grabbed his suit and threw his clothes on the bed, changing in a hurry. “Since when have they been dating?”
“I don't know for sure, but it will probably be around two weeks.” You quickly buttoned your shirt and grabbed your modest, yet expensive, tie and began to tie it neatly.
"New achievement." Haruchiyo muttered and slapped your hand, letting you know that you were starting to get tangled again, and as soon as you removed your hands, he tied your tie with lightning speed.
"Thank you." You pecked him on the lips and put on the holster, which you slipped the gun into after checking.
“It's almost five o'clock in the afternoon. Do you think the beauty salon is still open?” Sanzu asked as you hurried down the stairs.
"Yes. They close in two and a half hours.”
You quickly entered the garage, through the door connecting it to the house, and opened the garage door.
“You know a lot about that place…” He noticed as you sat in the car together and told him about the location.
“Sometimes I took her there… And sometimes she managed to talk me into doing minor treatments.”
“Huh? Wait, wait. Do you mean, for example, the day you came to pick me up with your eyebrows groomed?” He asked in amusement and your cheeks grew warmer.
“Can we not talk about it?” You asked as you pulled out of the garage.
"Why? It was a wonderful evening at the club when girls, instead of going to Ran, went to you.
“God…” You got out of the car and closed the garage door. You returned to the car and drove out onto the street, immediately taking the shortest route to the mentioned beauty salon. “Now you've found time to reminisce.”
“You looked really good and could do with this treatment more often.”
“What do you have against my eyebrows?”
"Nothing. You're just a good attractor for girls." He answered you honestly and you shook your head.
"All right. After all this, I will go for eyebrow shaping. So be it."
"Seriously?" Haruchiyo asked in surprise, his lips stretching into a wide smile. “And we'll go to a nightclub for a pick-up session.”
You should have felt offended at this point, but you laughed softly. “And we'll go to the club to meet girls. May be."
You focused on driving again, but out of the corner of your eye you saw your passenger tapping his fingers against his thighs, clearly excited by the whole idea. You didn't blame him. You felt attracted to both genders and you understood Sanzu perfectly. You would gladly take a woman's breasts in both hands again...
All the way, which lasted about half an hour, you listened to the pink-haired man dreamily telling you what he would do to the first willing girl, and it seemed to you that you had gone back in time to the moments before the whole thing with the murdered prostitutes. Or as if this whole mess was just a bad dream you just woke up from.
“Hey, Y/n.” His hand gently patted your thigh, perfectly drawing your attention to him. "Do not be sad. I will share some pussy with you.”
You pulled your car into a parking space in front of the building that housed the beauty salon and looked at Sanzu, who was still smiling.
“What if I have to share with you?”
The man snorted and shook his head, pushed back the tails of his suit and with his other hand pulled a bottle of pills from his inside pocket.
“You don't stand a chance against me.” He said half-jokingly and the corner of your mouth turned upwards involuntarily.
“And this is my Sanzu.” You said quietly, looking the man into his handsome face.
“Regardless of my mood, as long as I don't chase you with a katana or shoot at you... I am your Sanzu.” He replied to you and as soon as you leaned down to press a kiss to his lips, he quickly unbuckled his seat belt, opened the door and got out of the car, giving you a silent kiss. "Not here."
You pursed your lips and followed him.
“This is this place?” He asked, looking around curiously.
"Yes." You walked to the front door, which suddenly opened, and you came face to face with a surprised short woman. “Rosie?”
“Y/n? Sanzu?” She asked, showing you her phone. “I was just about to call you back… Takeomi sent me a message saying you were looking for me…”
Sanzu grabbed the woman's wrist and began to quickly lead her towards your car. “Sanzu?”
"Be quiet." The other one grumbled and you quickly followed them.
“We'll explain everything to you along the way.” You assured her as you opened the back door of the vehicle.
Sanzu all but pushed the woman inside and sat down in his usual front passenger seat. You got behind the wheel and drove back to your house.
“Is someone following us?” You asked, ignoring the look of horror on your friend's face in the rearview mirror as she was having trouble fastening her seat belt.
“No. I don't see anyone."
"What's going on?" The woman asked in a worried voice and tightened her slender fingers on the belt that she finally managed to fasten.
“We're preventing something I wish had never happened.” You said, and as the woman's neatly coral-painted mouth opened to ask you another question, you added. “A lot has happened in these few days, and we already know who Yuu really is.”
“Ah…” She said, frowning slightly. "I thought that..."
“Daisuke Sugiyama, that was the guy you thought was our target.” Said Sanzu.
"Who?..."
"Never mind. The guy is dead, so you're completely safe with him.”
“Okay, but then what's the point?”
Sanzu looked over his shoulder at her. “Yuu cares about catching Y/n. Not about breaking up Bonten.”
“Okay... Why Y/n?”
“Yuu, is Yuji L/n.”
“Y...Yuji?” Rosie asked, not understanding anything. "Who's that? Why does it have the same...
"Last name as me?" You looked at her in the rearview mirror. “Because he's my stepbrother and believe me, Rosie, he won't hesitate to kill you. He will do anything to lure me into a trap.”
There was complete silence in the car and you heard the woman take deep breaths several times to control her emotions.
"I see. Thank you, Y/n. Sanzu.” She said after a short while, her gentle voice completely composed.
“Hey, Rosie…” Sanzu looked back at her over his shoulder.
"Yes?"
“What do you have in common with Takeomi?”

Book Blurb: Trailblazing pop star, actor and director, Hayley Kiyoko debuts her first novel, a coming-of-age romance based on her breakthrough hit song and viral video, GIRLS LIKE GIRLS. It’s summertime and 17-year-old Coley has found herself alone, again. Forced to move to rural Oregon after just losing her mother, she is in no position to risk her already fragile heart. But when she meets Sonya, the attraction is immediate. Coley worries she isn't worthy of love. Up until now, everyone she's loved has left her. And Sonya's never been with a girl before. What if she's too afraid to show up for Coley? What if by opening her heart, Coley's risking it all? They both realize that when things are pushed down, and feelings are forced to shrivel away, Coley and Sonya will be the ones to shrink. It’s not until they accept the love they fear and deserve most, that suddenly the song makes sense. Based on the billboard-charting smash hit song and viral music video GIRLS LIKE GIRLS, Hayley Kiyoko's debut novel is about embracing your truth and realizing we are all worthy of being loved back.
Review:
Based on the beautiful coming of age song and music video, GIRLS LIKE GIRLS by Hayley Kiyoko the story follows 17 year old Coley as she has moved to live with her distant father in Oregon after her mother committed suicide. Coley has never known her father, not since he left her and her mother at 3 years old... and now she has to live with the man who broke her heart. Summertime in Oregon where she has no friends is not the best, but then when she is nearly run over by a group of teen she meets Sonya, a gorgeous girl who draws her in. Coley and Sonya develop a friendship but Coley definitely feels like there is something more... but Sonya has a ex boyfriend who wont leave, is in the closet herself, and definitely treats Coley horribly, yet she can’t staya way. Sonya fears what it would mean if she were to truly give into her feelings for Coley, how it would impact her family and her friends, and what it would mean to be so open and then rejected if her mother found out. Coley and Sonya will have to work out what their feelings mean and just how far they are willing to go for one another and what it means to be yourself. Unfortunately for me, this one definitely fell flat from my expectations. I absolutely adored the music video and the song when it first came out and was so excited to hear that there would be a book to further build on the music video. The story deals with being in the closet as a teen and the pressures of coming out and how your friends and family could make you afraid to come out, but what I disliked so much was just how poorly Sonya continued to treat Coley and how Coley just kept forgiving her and coming back for more despite knowing she would keep getting hurt. I understand she’s a teen and that love might make you accept a lot of behaviors from someone that you normally wouldn’t but it was frustrating because I honestly wanted better for her, so much better. Yes I get that the story had to go along with the music video but honestly the way they further developed Sonya’s storyline made it kind of hard to root for her, yes i understand she was afraid and was feeling pressured but honestly it’s no excuse to treat someone the way she treated Coley. Yes they are both teens and yes they might act out at one another but honestly, I was just hoping for a sweet and beautiful love story. Overall it definitely had a lot of teen angst and drama, and if you’re into that then definitely pick up this book.

Girls Like Girls by Hayley Kiyoko Book Review
ARC kindly provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
When I first heard Hayley Kiyoko was writing a book, I was immediately intrigued. Even more so when I heard it was based on her popular song Girls Like Girls.
The music video tells the story of a young girl named Coley who falls in love with her best friend Sonya who she seemingly has been in love with for a while. This book acts as an extended edit of the music video, showing glimpses into Coley's history, when she first met Sonya and how she felt about her and more about Trenton, Sonya's ex.
I was surprised to find that I enjoyed the book more than I thought I would. I enjoyed Hayley's writing style and the characterisation of both Sonya and Coley. I think the setting being the early 2000's really helped with the story and was a nice touch I didn't expect until I started the book.
The only issue that I had was with the almost insta-lovey connection between Sonya and Coley. It felt like the "I saw her and my jaw dropped" sort of thing and I thought to myself that this attraction between them was growing rather quickly.
That being said, even though the attraction between them was immediate, there was a slow burn growing between them and I enjoyed the execution of it. I loved the focus on running away and towards love and who you truly are. I thought that was done really well and I liked the portrayal of self-discovery showcased here. All in all, I enjoyed this book and I'll be excited to see more books from this author.

1-35 faggot
Yay ❤️thanks fag ❤️
1. are you beating the uhaul allegations?
I moved across the country to live with my gf after 2 years long distance. So, kinda? We only visited each other I think 6 times before the move. Idk if that's fast or not
2. Do you identify as butch, femme, masc, and/or gnc?
I've been considering the label femme. I find a lot of joy through playing with makeup and fashion, and my style is very girly.
3. How did you realize you were Sapphic?
When I was a teen I always in the back of my head kind of thought yeah I'd do a girl. But that's cause of my sin nature! Then during college I fell in love with my best friend(thats u 42069gay), lost my faith... then tried to date some men but every interaction made me want to rip my eyeballs out. I started to ID as a lesbian after a date with this guy that went really well, but I just felt so uncomfortable thinking about becoming his girlfriend. We hugged goodbye and I felt so scared of the idea of him kissing me. I cried all the way home on the train... and that's when I knew in my bones. i was lesbo
4. Who is/was your most intense Sapphic crush?
My gf! :3
5. Do you consider yourself a dyke?
Umm ig that depends how you mean it, I'm not sure if that's a label I'm allowed to use tbh. I'm a lesbian. I'm not masc, but I rise and put my right hand over my heart when anyone mentions dykes supporting fags.
6. Are you good at picking up when people are flirting with you, or do you tend to be more oblivious?
I can definitely tell, but my anxiety causes me to second-guess it.
7. Have you ever crushed on a straight girl?
There was this girl I went to church with during my college years, who started making out with me whenever we got drunk. (That shit kind of hurt 😕)
8. What's your relationship status? Are you happy about it?
I'm in a long-term relationship 💕 Our 4 year anniversary is next week, and I'm very happy.
9. Do you have a "type"? If so, what is it?
I've always been most attracted to women who are very feminine, but have some kind of odd or punk edge. women with bangs energy I guess. Brittany Murphy, Bjork, Lady Gaga, SZA, Kathleen Hanna. etc
10. Did you do anything gay as a kid that makes sense when you look back on your childhood?
There was this time in middle school when I was sleeping over at my friend's house. we were lying side-by-side in her bed, tracing circles on each other's backs and I got super turned on. She kind of prepositioned me in a joking way and I flipped out, but for years afterwards I wished I had reacted differently and fantasized about how that night could have gone. I have no idea how I didn't realize this was very gay
11. What are some good Sapphic songs/music artists?
Chappell Roan is my fave. Bikini Kill, Lady Gaga and Hayley Kiyoko r also very special to me. Also check out suspected lesbian Connie Converse she's so cool. Here's 3 random wlw songs I love too: -> Kissing Lessons by Lucy Dacus -> Don't Try Suicide by Team Dresch -> Pynk by Janelle Monae
12. Good Sapphic books/poems/authors?
I'm the worst for this bc I don't read enough :( but: -> The Color Purple by Alice Walker ->The Well of Loneliness by Radclyffe Hall ->My Lesbian Experience With Loneliness by Kabi Nagata
13. Good Sapphic movies/shows?
-> Revolutionary Girl Utena -> Portrait of a Lady On Fire -> But I'm a Cheerleader -> Heavenly Creatures -> Jennifer's Body -> Steven Universe sorryyy
14. List five things you look for in a partner or five things you love about your current partner.
1. Her honesty. Our biggest strength is communication 2. Her creativity and excellent taste in all kinds of art. She reminds me not to worry about the things I can't control!! Which I really need. Repeatedly 3. She doesn't believe in cringe; she's the most non-judgemental person I know. 4. When we get delusional and insane over the same character 🫶💕
15. Are you the gay cousin?
Yes lmao and the gay sister and the gay aunt.
16. Do you consider being Sapphic a big part of your identity?
Yes very much so!
17. How many people have you dated? Talk about them if you want!
Like 2. I have really bad social anxiety and was a totally weird late bloomer. I went on a few different dates but only *dated* one person before I met my s/o. It was super awkward, she was sweet but we were both very inexperienced and shy and I guess there just wasn't enough chemistry. we kind of hung out for 6 months, never kissed or made anything official, then I moved out of state and we ghosted each other... v awkward time but I do have some fun memories
18. Thoughts on e-dating or long distance? Have you ever done it? How did it go?
I totally support it. I think anonymity is what some of us need to allow ourselves to be vulnerable... I met my partner on tumblr, it was the only place I felt safe being my whole cringey self at the time. I always used to think it was weird to date someone you've never met, but once I found her I said what the hell, I have nothing to lose. Luckily it went well!! It's unconventional, but so is everything about my life.
19. describe your fashion sense. do you "dress gayly"?
I would say no, most people assume I'm straight. I have a somewhat basic wardrobe... My fashion sense is much campier and more colorful than my wallet allows.
20. do you consider yourself to be a good kisser?
I have no idea. I try my best
21. are you generally "out" to people?
Most of the time I try to be. I'm not out at work, because the vibe there is rather conservative (like, Bible tracts on the wall) so I don't feel safe just telling anyone.
22. how do you feel about valentine's day?
I like it a lot more, now that I'm no longer an adult virgin :)
23. do you like being referred to with masculine adjectives, feminine adjectives, both, or neither?
She/her I'm very cis
24. thoughts on marriage?
I like the idea of having a ceremony, but I don't know if I'd want to be legally married. I would need to read up on the ramifications of that a bit more.
25. have you ever gone to a pride parade?
yes! I marched in my hometown once, and I went to Boston Pride in 2019. I haven't been to any since but I mean to
26. do you read yuri manga?
nope
27. do you fit any sapphic stereotypes / other stereotypes related to your identity?
I have short fingernails and too many cats
28. what's a canon sapphic ship you enjoy?
Petra Solano x Jane Ramos, from Jane The Virgin. It wasn't the best written imo, BUT I'm just a huge Petra fan, and I was so happy to see her find gay love.
29. how about a non-canon sapphic ship?
Hinata Hyuga x Sakura Haruno from Naruto. I will die on this hill. They would be so soft and encouraging for each other. I used to be so fucking invested in this, it was all I would ever draw in my sketchbooks
30. who's your favorite sapphic character?
Anthy Himemiya. She's just. a kaleidoscope of trauma and love and bitterness. also, this isn't canon but I truly truly see Bev Keane from Midnight Mass as a lesbian. She just reminds me too much of myself when I was younger and I feel for her and I love her lots
31. LEAST favorite sapphic character?
Molly Bolt from Rubyfruit Jungle. I guess she's not that bad, but I just fucking hated this book
32. tell a funny story about something really gay you've done.
convinced myself I was in a queerplatonic relationship so that I wouldn't have to confront the fact I wasn't straight
33. do you get crushes/fall in love easily?
not really, I've only had a small handful of those experiences
34. who's a sapphic person you look up to? they can be someone in your life, a historical figure, a celebrity, etc!
Lady Gaga. She's so smart and so weird and so HERSELF. even when I disagree with something she does/says, I appreciate her sincerity and her gumption.
35. if you could tell your younger sapphic self anything, what would it be?
Girl you are allowed to trust your gut. Your feelings are holy, don't hold yourself hostage. If there is a God, and if he really is loving, he wouldn't want that for you.

“How are you still single, I mean look at you” a laugh escaped the blonde as she pointed out the absurdity of the statement as she pointed out how obviously attractive the woman sitting across from her was. Hitoka herself was sitting crossed legged in a wide cushioned chair, hair pulled back into a ponytail and a selcheligj book in her lap.
“actually my flirt game isn’t terrible, just the person I’m interested in is about as observant as a cabbage” The gray eyed girl said leaning back on her chair before looking up at the person across from her, face showing a light blush at the subject of her love life in the first place. It’s not something she and ever really focused on, it had always been work rather than school as top priorities, there was something ironic about falling for your best friend in a way. It leaves much less to be discovered, less to be infield from the depths of the soul.
“Seriously, who is it? You get so much attention and do nothing with it, do you not want someone to spend your day with?” It was a simple question really, but oh so difficult, there was no point in trying to hide it, she wasn’t in reality but nothing seemed to get through to Hitoka, a lighthouse couldn’t help how obvious it was.
“What if I don’t think it would work out?” She asked the same deadpan expression as before.
“You only live once.” It one of those gem of advice you give out but refuse to follow yourself, their was at least the case for Hitoka, times like these were when it was really put to merit.
Kiyoko was almost flustered at what she was about to say next, “Hypothetically I do tell them, How would you want to be asked out then? What’s the best way?” It felt like a stupid question afterwards while silence filled the room.
“I suppose I would just want asked something like ‘I want you in every way, I don’t care what happens I just want to be yours’ the simple things, there’s no need for a big romantic gesture” the blood rushed to her cheeks as she answered, a doozy smile cursing her lips and a almost whimsical tone.
“Okay then”
“Okay what? You can’t just answer okay and stop talking.” She was still smiling but obviously a nervous tension was rising. She hated how easy it was for her to get nervous at any small thing. Being around Kiyoko and became strangle comforting in most situations, it wasn’t expected fro: twitcher part but it was a welcome surprise
“Hitoka, I want you in every way, I don’t care what happens I just want to be yours, I don’t care if other disagree with it or deem it as wrong, I want to be with you, every part of you inside and out” it was exactly her style, sharp hot and loaded. It was practically a gut punch to the woman of her interest, the apple of her eye, who was now receding more in a tightly packed sphere.
“I’m sorry what, please dont be messing with me, I-“ her words trembled as they fell out of place
“I’m serious” there was a sense of urgency ready to break through the illusion of serenity
There was a fleeting glance between the two, her gray eyes were as if a siren's voice they shared the same power, it would be stupid to admit that she had thought about Kiyoko in that way, most who got a good look at her had “What? No you can not be.”
“I mean it, I care about you more than I can put into words.”
“Why didn't you say anything sooner?” She sounded small, almost childlike, she certainly felt like one for not realizing sooner.
Urgency rang in her voice like a siren, it was seemingly more useless at getting the point across “Because I knew you’d react like this” the simple questions were the hardest to answer.
“Why should I not react like this when a 12 out of 10 can say that?”
“What else do you need to hear”
“Do you mean it, please don’t be messing with me, you better not be-“ it was irresistible to stop looking between her eyes and lips in a calculated pattern
She cut the woman off while waiting to speak again. “Hitoka” there was another pause, her tone was a whip in the air. “Listen to yourself” it sounded harsh, it was harsh but it was something that had to be heard.
There was no point in listening, there was the pounding of blood in her ears over shadowing anything else important, her mouth was dry, her eyes glued shut in disbelief. It was an easy choice whether to stay and listen or to run from what it cloud meant, what did she want it to mean?
All of a sudden there was no desk separating them, there were now two hands joined in way of leaving this behind to fester. Kiyoko wasn’t going to let this be hurried alive, how could she? The feel of soft skin grazing made Hitoka practically melt, you could feel her rain heartbeat like you could see waves on the ocean.
It didn’t take long to consider if she wanted this, she wanted this more than she knew what to do with, the gap between the two separated, It took five seconds for the two to be forced together with a stitch, a world of passion to open up with a single kiss, heads tilted leaning over the space dividing them as if pulling the two together till the gap was filled, hands entangled, running through hair. This wasn’t like any other kisses either had experienced before, this was a moment nearly lost in time, just the two of them, gray eyes sparkling, breath heaving passion still in the air connecting the unlikely pair
“You're serious.” It was less of a question, more of a statement, a statement filled with shock and curiosity of what this could mean for anything and everything.
“I am” she said just as blind as before still slightly out of breathe, there was a look of succession showering her

kinktober - day 18
kiyoko shimizu - strip tease
kinktober faq prompt list
*NSFW warning featuring a strip tease, a bit of sex* fem reader
-
It was nearing the week of final exams - also known as the worst part of the university experience. Who could possibly enjoy being cooped up in their dorm with nothing but text books and coffee to keep them company as the threat of failing looms over their head?
You knew one person who did: your very own girlfriend. Kiyoko genuinely enjoyed the prep before final exam week, and it was beyond you as to why - but since you were her girlfriend, she insisted on sharing her enthusiasm with you.
For the entire week before exams began, you had to join her in her dorm to study every evening. She focused on her topics, you focused on your own. And you actually got a lot of work done - the biggest downfall was that it was boring as hell.
After expressing to Kiyoko how bored you were studying, she only shrugged and said, “it’s studying.”
She was never a woman of many words.
It was only the third day of doing this, joining her at her small coffee table to study for hours in the peace and quiet of her dorm.
You were about to fall asleep with your head on the table.
Neither of you had said a word for the last hour. Kiyoko hadn’t even moved, apart from typing on her laptop or flipping a textbook page, while you were fidgeting nonstop.
You knew that at nine o’clock on the dot, she would close her book and go have a shower - meaning you could crawl into her comfortable bed and sleep. But that was in two hours. And she would not let you get into bed until study time is over - you already tried asking, and it was a stern no.
With a loud sigh, you glanced down to your textbook and forced yourself to read the page.
You didn’t see her doing it, but Kiyoko had been eyeing you this entire time. And she knew you weren’t getting anything done.
She had a way to get rid of your boredom, though, as well as helping you get some studying in.
“It’s hot,” she mumbled, unzipping her jacket and revealing a tank top underneath - which may have been a size too small for her.
Without even looking up at her you said, “You sure are,” making her roll her eyes.
And then you glanced up. You did a double take. Your eyes were glued to her chest - and after getting a good look you realized how rude you were being.
All she had done was innocently take off her jacket - that didn’t mean you were allowed to stare at the smooth skin of the teasing amount of cleavage her shirt was showing off.
“Are you having trouble?” She scooted over to your side of the table to sit next to you. “Do you need any help?”
She was sitting very close to you with no warning - you could smell her perfume and feel her soft hair brushing against your arm, and you suddenly weren’t all that bored anymore.
“Maybe…”
“Here, let me help you. What are you working on?”
“...Biology.”
She reached across you to grab your study guide, pressing her chest against your shoulder as she did so. And she stayed that close as she looked at the worksheet.
“Do you know all the parts of a cell?”
“Probably.”
“Y/N,” she sighed. “This will be on your final.”
“I know,” you replied. You were trying to sneak a hand onto her leg - finals were not your current concern.
“Then tell me the parts of a cell.”
“You know: cell wall, nucleus, all that stuff - are we done yet, babe?”
“No, you still have questions to answer.”
“But there are other things I want to do,” you told her, having finally placed your hand in her lap. “Like… you.”
“You have to study,” she said. “You can do me later.”
“How much later?”
She knew you wouldn’t give up with asking - and honestly, she didn’t want you to. This is exactly what she planned for - she knew how easily she could get your worked up.
“After you get a question right I’ll take off a piece of clothing. And when I’m not wearing anything, we’re done studying.”
“Good idea - get to asking questions already!”
This would be too easy - you had been doing nothing but reading that study guide for the last hour. You were sure you knew the answer to every question, meaning your beautiful girlfriend would be topless within one question.
Except after the first question, all she took off was her sock.
“Kiyoko, that’s cheating!”
“What do you mean?”
“You have to take off your shirt or something!”
“It’s called a strip tease for a reason, Y/N.”
For the next questions she removed her remaining sock, glasses, necklace and the hair tie from her wrist. She was definitely taking advantage of teasing you - and your excitement was about to bubble over.
“Is it your shirt’s turn yet?”
She nodded silently, skimming the page for a suitable question. After finding one, she read it to you with a smirk - somehow, she knew you wouldn’t know the answer immediately.
You were silent in thought, and Kiyoko was having too much fun doing this - she was such a show off, running a hand across her covered breasts and pushing them together with her forearms to make them appear bigger - you were staring at her intently.
“You’re evil.”
But her quiet laugh was angelic, and she dropped her teasing act to say, “I’m sure you know the answer to this, Y/N.”
You thought hard, ignoring her when she laughed at you.
“I need some time to think.” You grabbed her arm and pulled her close to you, catching her soft lips between your own.
“The clock is ticking.”
“Let me think,” you insisted, kissing her again and again. Her lips were addictive, and her kisses were soft and gentle even when they were deep and passionate.
But she pushed you away when you pulled her closer, making you pout.
And then your eyes widened when you finally remembered the answer - it was so simple you wanted to kick yourself for not remembering sooner, and Kiyoko laughed as soon as you said it.
When she reached for the hem of her shirt, you grabbed her wrists. “No, let me.”
You peeled the tight fabric off of her body quickly and moaned at the sight underneath.
“No touching,” she said when you reached a hand out to her bra-less chest. “More studying.”
“Shimizu,” you sighed, “I’m done studying. Get on top of me already.”
“We made a deal,” she said, but she didn’t fight back when you wrapped your arms around her bare waist. She had to force herself to hold in her moans when you started kissing her neck. “You have more questions to answer…”
“Ask away,” you said into her skin. You were going to take this chance to bite and suck a hickey into her delicate, milky skin. Neck kisses were your girlfriend’s weakness - you knew that all too well.
She asked the next question while feigning a strong voice - you answered quickly.
“That’s wrong.”
You pushed her to lie on her back, she complied.
“What’s my punishment?”
“You don’t get to take my pants off,” she replied.
You moved a hand low and began touching her, “I’m pretty sure I can touch you over your pants, princess.”
As you rubbed her clit over her pants she found herself getting more and more lost in the pleasure - she had completely abandoned the study guide and she was moaning freely.
“Y/N,” she moaned; her eyes were squeezed shut, her hair was a mess on the floor, her hips were thrusting up into your touch.
“What do you want, princess?”
She let out a whine as she looked up at you, palming at your breast over your shirt before sliding her hands underneath it.
Kiyoko adored your body as much as you loved hers, and the feeling of your bare skin against her own made her melt - she needed to feel you, so she tugged your shirt off of you.
“Take them off,” she whispered, referring to her sweatpants.
“But we had a deal,” you teased. “And I got the question wrong, so… you’ll have to cum like this, baby.”
She didn’t take well to you denying her of what she wanted - and this wasn’t enough. She needed you to really touch her.
“P-Please,” she said. “We can study more later, just… please, Y/N.”
“I won’t be doing any studying later,” you replied. And as you spoke, your hand went into her pants, your fingers finally touching her directly. “But if you want to do homework while I’m eating you out, be my guest.”
You kissed her blushed cheek and continued rubbing her clit just to keep hearing her pretty moans. Everything about the girl was soft; the way she moaned your name, the feeling of her skin - even the way she held onto your arm was gentle.
“I want you to cum on my fingers, Kiyoko…”
She nodded in response to your words, and her moans were continuous, high pitched, loud. And she came without a warning - soaking your fingers as well as the underwear she wore.
You kissed her as she came - her body arched, her breathing all but stopped, and her moans would have been loud of you didn’t cover her mouth.
“God, you’re so beautiful,” you said to her, and her arms wrapped around your neck to pull you back down to her lips.
“Take off my pants,” she said between kisses, “and yours too. Before I make you study more.”
For the rest of the night, you did everything she told you to do - you’d be an idiot not to.
-
tune in tomorrow for kinktober day 19: praise kink

How about Inarizaki reacting to their manager having a huge glow up over break? Let’s say she was simple and not too eye catching at first but the minute they see her again on New Year’s, she’s a total baddie with an amazing figure, great skin, and her personality is even more sweeter. She doesn’t even notice how big of a change it is to the bois and she’s just helping em with volleyball stuff. It’s like Kiyoko to Karasuno with how attractive she became.
there's just something about Inarizaki that i can't ignore.
Synopsis: the Inarizaki manager is a smoke-show, chaos ensues.
Cw: they/them pronouns but reader is referred to as a girl, kinda crack
Kita honestly doesn’t think the first day of preseason could go any worse.
First off, within the twenty minutes grace period the team had to show up, the Miya twins were already fighting, roping Suna into whatever they were fighting about. Second, the coach has been nonstop answering his phone, ignoring the three children fighting behind him. And thirdly, their usually punctual manager was running late and hadn't bothered to tell anyone.
“Oh my”
And now there was a random girl standing in the gym.
“Suna! Stop egging them on! Atsumu get off of Atsumu! Kita, what’s going on? You're letting this happen? I'm only four minutes late!”
He knew that voice.
He knew the commanding tone.
What he didn't know, however, was whoever was standing in the doorway, staring at him as if he had four heads. Late? The only person that wasn't accounted for was you and wherever this was surely wasn't you.
“Sweetie, i think you have the wrong place, but i’ll definitely help you find the right one!” incredibly., that was the fastest Kita had ever seen Atsumu cross the court. Ready for the swooning, everyone was more than surprised to see a scowl form on your- as it was becoming increasingly obvious to some members of the team that it was in fact their manager- face.
“Sweetie? Atsumu hasn't been that long has it? It kind of feels like you've forgotten my face. anyways, we should get a move on, we only have so much time before practice matches!”
Que a frozen team and a whole lot of confusion.
“I mean that’s definitely them”
“Yeah, but like… what happened.”
“They got hot, that’s what happened”
Atsumu, Suna, and Osamu couldn't be more obvious if they tried. If the huddling in the corner and confused glances didn't gove it away, the haphazard questions aimed towards you did.
It wasn't like you died your hair and got a face tattoo, all you did was work out a bit and learned how to correctly apply concealer- it really wasn't as big of a deal as everyone was making it out to be. Even Aran was acting strange!
“Is something wrong with you guys?” you almost immediately regret asking as the stuttered apologies com spewing at you from every angle.
“No, it’s just-” “sorry, you-” “it’s not you-” “i think we're all sick-”
And the most shocking one of all- “you’re really hot now ma’am!” poor Guinjima barely knew the compliment came from himself until you laughed and ruffled his hair. (he contemplated for hours over whether he was ever going to shower again.)
“Awe, thanks, guys! But we really have to practice- matches are coming up in just a week!”
“Since when did Inarizaki have a smoke show for a manager?”
Strike one for whatever no-name school this was.
“It doesn't matter, when we beat these guys maybe they’ll come with us.”
Strike two.
Shockingly strike three comes sooner than you can comprehend as four very important things come to mind.
One. The Miya twins have no qualms bout making threats to people on the court. Venom drips from their lips every time they score a point.
Two. Kita can, in fact, get scarier. You already knew about the icy glares he shot the team when they got a bit too rowdy, but this was taking it to a whole new level. You had no idea what this team did to deserve his arctic stare but the gym seemed to drop into the negatives at soon as they opened their mouths.
Three. Inarizaki was a powerhouse, through and through, the team that you saw now could take on nationals like easy work.
Four. Whoever this school was, they would never be invited back onto your school grounds. (Suna made sure they wouldn't be allowed anywhere else either.)
You weren't even sure what was happening, one minute you were being asked where the bathroom was and the next you had both Miya’s arms around you, complaining about injuries you seemed to have missed during the last set.
It’s amazing how you never catch on to the fact that any team that looks at you for just a bit too long gets beaten a bit worse than the other ones. (or that any gut you speak to in school is public enemy #1 of the volleyball team)

🪶Being Karasuno's Manager 🪶
Manager Rejects Oikawa's Advances 😭
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Oikawa Toru featuring Karasuno and Seijoh x GN manager
Warnings: Swearing, I did Oikawa so dirty 😍
AN: This is an Anon request!
🌠 Please Like, Reblog and/or Share to help support my writing 🌠
"Hey now, hey now, this is what dreams are made of!!"- Hilary Duff 🎶 🎵 🙌🏻
It's my time to shine ✨️ 😎
#bullyoikawa4ever is in full effect!
The sun is shining, all the stop lights are green
"AND NO ONE CAN STOP ME HEY HEY HEY"- Bokuto
Actual footage of me writing for Oikawa 👇🏻
Tumblr media
Ok ok Tiff calm down 🤚🏻
Whew ok let's start this shit show shall we 👀
Yn, our stunning and perfect third manager
The perfect trio of Kiyoko, Yachi and YN 🤩
Honestly you can't get any better
Maybe Kuroo, Bokuto and Akaashi?
You know what, no it's our managers time to shine
And shine you do 🌟
Seriously, you keep Karasuno on their toes daily YN
You don't mean to but like then why are you so attractive?
Honestly YN save some for the rest of us 🙄
Karasuno is known for 2 things
1) their famous quick with Kags and Hinata
2) their managers 🥵
Please tell me you aren't a constant target for all the genders?
You are!
Straight fax no printer 💯
Unfortunately for you, that often means you get alot of unwanted attention
You are use to Tanaka and Noya daily and even the occasional stare from Yamamoto at training camp
But nothing prepares you for a high school boys volleyball tournament
95% of these guys are respectful
Sure they make comments about how stunning you look or how perfect you are 💅🏼
But like that's it
Unfortunately for you, the other 5% is Toru Oikawa 🙄
Seriously this man 👏🏻
When he sees something he wants, he will just go for it
Oikawa is use to girls (and probably guys) paying attention to him
He's never had to fight someone for attention
Like EVER 🙅
But there's always a first time for everything 🙃
And I honestly cannot think of a more deserving recipient
It starts off as a normal tournament
Yachi is handling water bottles while you and Kiyoko handle the gym
Just basic stuff like preparing the bench, notes and towels
You help the boys with their stretches and even sending a few tosses for spiking drills
Normally, everything runs smoothly
Emphasis on NORMALLY
Because today is the match against Seijoh
Arguably one of the best teams in Haikyu
They are strong, out together and flow effortlessly
Then there is Oikawa 😒 who will soon become you arch nemesis
You are getting ready to toss for Kageyama when the great king approaches
"Well hello there, don't think I've seen you around before"- Oikawa
Kags is probably growling at this point
"Well you wouldn't have, I'm a new manager"- YN handling it like a badass
Daichi, Suga and Asahi are standing away from the action but observing
Tanaka and Noya are ready but Daichi is waiting
Please Daichi would love to embarrass Oikawa 🤣
And thankfully Oikawa picked just the person to do it
"I'm sorry but if you don't have anything to say to me, I'd like to get back to my job"- you, expression of stone that would make Ushijima jealous 😐
Oikawa 👉🏻👁👄👁 uh yeah ok I'll let you do your thing then
He totally does those annoying finger guns too 😭 I can't with how awkward would be
"Shittykawa we have to run drills!"- Iwaizumi
Honestly YN go for that one
You're probably like "👀and who might that be?"
Nevertheless, Oikawa's attempts to whoo you don't stop
After the game, mans will try again
"Hey YN, good game"- Oikawa, extending his hand to shake
You just look at his hand and back to his face
"I didn't even play in the game"- YN 😐
😭😭😭 Makki and Mattsun are just watching Oikawa crash and burn
Iwaizumi is trying hard not to laugh bit failing
Kageyama is taking notes so he can reference them in the future
Suga is smirking 😏
Daichi is so proud
And Oikawa... is still not giving up 🙄
"Say YN, what would you say to me and you going out sometime?"- Oikawa
"I'd say no"- You, walking 🚶‍♂️ away
Oikawa 👉🏻🧍‍♂️ 🥲
Iwaizumi 👉🏻 YN's biggest fan
Makki and Mattsun 👉🏻 💀 ☠️
Dadchi 👉🏻 that's my YN
Kageyama 👉🏻 Team YN 4 life 😭
But still, Oikawa is not deterred
"YN-chan!! Come on!"- Oikawa now whining 😒
"Ok yes"- YN
"😱 really YN"- Oikawa, so excited
"No"- YN 😐
Oikawa 👉🏻💔🥲
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 pls ✋️
"Desperate much Oikawa?"- Suga, our petty king 🤴
"YN can I shake your hand?"- Iwaizumi
YN has single handedly become a Sejoh favorite 😍
Honestly YN, you are also my favorite 😍

“You lie to your best friend/crush that you have an OnlyFans just to see their reaction”
Ft. Sugawara; Nishinoya; Tsukishima; Oikawa; Kenma
Pt. 2
A/N: My bias is so obvious here LOL
KARASUNO
Tumblr media
↳ Sugawara
➣  You are over at his house, the two of you idly watching a sitcom while browsing your phones and chatting in between; it’s comfortable, as times with Sugawara usually are.
➣  Every time Suga leans in to show you a funny meme on his phone or throws his head back in laughter at a joke from the show, you find your heart skipping a beat.
➣  He is beautiful, basically an angel in your eyes, but he is also your best friend and you don’t think he has any interest in you like that. Not in the way you do.
➣  That’s how you get the idea to test his feelings.
➣  Being the troublemaker you are (how else would you and Suga get along so well?) you decide to shake things up by casually mentioning you’re interested in starting an OnlyFans and asking if he thinks its a good idea.
➣  You expect either of two reactions: either he’ll be as supportive as usual, possibly advising you to be cautious with strangers online like the mother hen he is, proving he only sees you as a friend—or he’ll tell you not to, possible evidence that likes you.
➣  The response you receive is not quite what you were expecting...
➣  Once the words leave your lips his head immediately whips around in your direction, light brown eyes looking at you with a serious expression on his face, something you’d never really seen before. It makes you uncomfortable and you begin to regret all of your life decisions.
➣  Suddenly though, he is leaning into you, his arms coming up to trap you against the couch as you try to back away. Your eyes are as wide as saucers and face completely flushed as he continues to stare you down before speaking.
➣  “Even though I’m your best friend, I’m still a man, you know. You’re being awfully cruel right now.”
➣ You audibly gulp, suddenly feeling light-headed but he keeps speaking, close enough that you can feel his hot breath fan across your cheeks.
➣ “Asking me to watch the person I like show off in front of thousands of other men? Even I have my limits.”
➣ And that marks the day of you and Sugawara’s first kiss. ♡
Tumblr media
↳ Nishinoya
➣  Your best friend, Nishinoya Yuu, is notoriously unabashed with his affections.
➣ The two of you have an interesting relationship—Noya has no qualms with expressing how pretty he thinks you are, borderline flirting with you at times, and you frequently return the favor.
➣  But you don’t take any of it seriously, of course, regardless of how much you secretly wish it were real. Everyone at Karasuno knows about Noya’s undying dedication to the volleyball club manager, Shimizu Kiyoko, and he confesses his love to her at least twice a day.
➣ Unbeknownst to you those professions became less and less frequent after he met you and now most of Karasuno thinks the two of you are basically dating
➣ The two of you are at the mall, a frequent hang out place where Noya can look at volleyball gear and you can browse manga at the bookstore, when you get the idea to prank your friend.
➣ “Hey, Noya? I’ve been thinking about finding a way to make more money but I don’t have time for a part-time job so I decided to make an OnlyFans—I already have a few subscribers.”
➣ Nishinoya nearly trips and falls flat on his face. You would have laughed if it weren’t for how he immediately grabs at your shoulders, staring at you with a mix of anger and fear.
➣ “Absolutely not! No one should be allowed to see your beautiful body like that but me!”
➣ You immediately fluster at his loud declaration, acutely aware of how other customers in the mall are giving the two of your strange looks as they walk by.
➣ “B-but Noya, we aren’t even dating—”
➣ “Then let’s start dating!”
➣ And what are you gonna do? Say no?
Tumblr media
↳ Tsukishima
➣ Being friends with Tsukishima could be frustrating at times—a sentiment you and Yamaguchi frequently discuss when the blond isn’t around.
➣ Tsukishima likes to think most things are beneath him and he’s too cool to find enjoyment in activities most other friends enjoy, ranging from mini golf to video games. The man seems content to waste his life away studying and listening to music if it weren’t for you and Yamaguchi forcing him out of his room.
➣ Naturally, something like a prank war would be something Tsukishima would want no part of—not that that has ever stopped you.
➣ Usually, your pranks are failures. Either Tsukishima easily figures out what you’re doing before it can happen or he doesn’t give you the satisfaction of a reaction, chastising you for wasting your time pulling pranks when you have a failing grade in mathematics you’ll later beg him to help you study for.
➣ He still helps you though, he’s whipped
➣ Your newest prank however, you feel exceptionally confident in. Not only is it simple to pull off, only relying on your acting kills, but it also might answer your curiosity on whether you have a chance in getting your dearest Tsukki to see you as more than just a friend.
➣ The day you decide to do it the three of you are hanging out in Tsukishima’s bedroom as usual, you working on the math homework Tsukishima forced you to study while he reads a book and Yamaguchi sits in the corner reading a book.
➣ You had already discussed your plans with Yama beforehand, to which his expression looked suspiciously devious, like he knew something you didn’t know, as he proclaimed his support.
➣ You hear Tsukishima turning a page and decide to speak up.
➣ “Hey, Tsukki, have you heard of OnlyFans?”
➣ You hold back a snicker as you see Tsukishima visibly tense, his eyes widening behind his glasses for a moment before he relaxes. From the corner of your eyes you can see Yamaguchi smirking behind his comic, watching the blond closely.
➣ “...yeah, I’ve heard of it,” Tsukishima simply replies.
➣ “I’ve been thinking about making more money but I don’t have time for a part-time job so my friend suggested it. She said I could make over ten thousand yen a month.”
➣ “I think only the really attractive ones make that much.”
➣ You gasp, thoroughly offended, and Yamaguchi looks mildly annoyed by his friend’s response, already opening his mouth to chastise him for being so mean—but before he can say anything, Tsukishima is speaking again, still looking down at the book in his lap.
➣ “Don’t do it though.”
➣ “Why not?” You pout, refusing to look up at him when you speak.
➣ “...I don’t want the person I like to do those types of things.”
➣ You nearly choke on your own saliva, head darting up to stare at him in disbelief. Yamaguchi, for some reason, only smiles softly, looking unsurprised by the admission.
➣ “W-what? You...like me?”
➣ “Oi, shouldn’t you be studying? One more F and you’re gonna flunk out of the class, dummy.”
➣ You’re slightly disappointed by the change of subject but when you notice the soft pink on Tsukishima’s cheeks you can’t help but to smile the whole time you finish your homework.
AOBA JOUSAI
Tumblr media
↳ Oikawa
➣ Oikawa is a busy guy.
➣ You were well aware of that before the two of you happened to be paired up for an assignment and got to know each other, eventually becoming close friends.
➣ Between volleyball practices, tournaments, magazine interviews, and appeasing a passionate fan club, Oikawa rarely has time for himself, let alone another person.
➣ Despite all of that, you could tell he always made sure to spend time with you, dedicating a few weekends a month to hanging out, just the two of you, and constantly texting you in the times the two of you couldn’t physically be together.
➣ From an outsider’s perspective, it was almost like the two of you were dating.
➣ But alas, you know the sad reality is that Oikawa is most certainly not your boyfriend and you have no idea if he has any interest in your like that…
➣ ...Which is why you decide to try to make him jealous one day to push him towards confessing his feelings, if they exist.
➣ The two of you are at a café, sipping lattes and gossiping about other students when you bring it up.
➣ “Y’know...I’ve been thinking of making an OnlyFans.”
➣ To your surprise, Oikawa’s eyes seem to light up, his lips curving into a smile of excitement.
➣ “Wow, really? Maybe I should make one too!”
➣ Oikawa immediately pulls out his cell phone and the color drains from your face as you realize your plan has completely backfired.
➣ “My fans are going to love this—hey do you think we can do a collab? The two of us in one pic would make us top creators for sure.”
➣ You can only nod numbly with a fake smile at Oikawa’s enthusiasm.
➣ Oh god, you’ve created a monster…
NEKOMA
Tumblr media
↳ Kozume
➣ Unless you’re Kuroo, becoming friends with Kenma is a nearly impossible feat. Actually making him want to spend time with you alone, even more so.
➣ But somehow, you managed to work your way into Kenma’s tightly knit social circle more like a two point line segment of him and Kuroo and your evenings after his volleyball practice are usually spent in one of your bedrooms, playing Splatoon and Animal Crossing until your Switches die or your parents force you to come home for dinner—whichever comes first.
➣ You love spending time with Kenma, his quiet presence somehow making you feel comfortable—but over time those feelings of ease have shifted into something more akin to nervousness and excitement as you’ve come to develop a crush on the setter.
➣ Every moment with him, watching the small smiles tug at his lips when he wins a match or his cute, frustrated pout when he can’t figure out how to defeat a boss makes your heart flutter and it’s becoming more and more painful to idly sit by without expressing your feelings.
➣ A direct confession, especially to a boy with nearly 0 social skills, is scary, so you want to be sure your feelings are returned before you even attempt to share them.
➣ Thus, you’ve decided to take Kuroo’s advice.
➣ “Push him into a corner. Kenma will only act when he thinks he has to.”
➣ You take a deep breath to steel your nerves before you speak, eying him sneakily from behind your Switch.
➣ “Gamer girls and boys are kind of trendy these days; I’m thinking about starting an OnlyFans to make money to buy more games.”
➣ The only visible response you receive is a slow blink as Kenma continues to play his game, fingers tapping furiously on the keys.
➣ “Ah...I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
➣ “Why not?”
➣ There are a few moments of silence between you two, the room only filled with the SFX of your games as Kenma seems to finish his round. You recognize the victory music as Kenma pauses to finally raise his gaze to meet your own.
➣ “It's your body so I can’t tell you what to do but...I would feel really jealous of all your subscribers.”
➣ And just like that, Kenma returns his attention to the video game, unpausing and starting a new match, blissfully unaware of you struggling to calm your racing heart and flushed cheeks.

Promise Me You Won't Fall In Love
Summary: You and Tsukishima have been friends since you were kids, and you made a promise not to fall in love with each other. But of course, everything's fine and great until someone (both of you) fucked up and caught feelings.
TW: swearing, mutual pining, unrequited love (it is requited later), minor harassment (not a lot), and there is some derogatory talk from an extra that doesn't even have a name (Kei puts him in his place, I promise).
A/N: So this wasn't requested, but I've been thinking about this one a lot recently and I wanted to do something with it, hence this.
Note: Anything in italics is a memory! Well, not all of it, but the longer sections. Most of the time the one or two word-er things are simply emphasized, that kind of thing.
"Tsukishima, your girlfriend's here to see you!" Sugawara told the middle blocker, and he turned to see you leaning against the wall near Yachi and Kiyoko, laughing at something they were saying to you.
"She's not my girlfriend," Kei muttered, walking over.
"Kei! I knew you'd be here," you said, digging through your bag. "One of the girls in my class wanted me to give this to you."
You handed him a bright pink envelope with black sparkly writing on the front, his name scrawled in almost perfect handwriting.
"Another love letter?" he asked, taking it.
"Probably, I've stopped asking. It makes them think that we're together," you told him, crossing your arms.
Kei sighed, opening the letter with little fanfare.
He scanned through it quickly, rolling his eyes.
One thing he had noticed was that the letters he had been getting were really sucky poetry and fancy words. They knew nothing about him worthwhile and he was pretty sure they just wanted to check off the 'I have a boyfriend' box on their high school checklists.
Kei made a noise of disgust and walked over to the nearest trash can, dumping the letter in.
"I'm assuming that's another no?" you asked, smirking at him, already knowing the answer.
He nodded, ignoring the smirk on your face.
You, Tadashi, and Kei had all been friends since middle school. Kei had known you longer, since you lived in the same neighborhood, but you had kind of adopted Tadashi when you had heard about him being bullied, hence why Kei and you were actual friends now. Tadashi was the link between the two of you that had stuck. Being forced to make conversation as some of the only kids in the neighborhood had simply made you acquaintances.
"If you knew I was going to say no then why would you give me the letter?" Kei asked.
"Because I'm hoping you'll broaden your horizons," you offered, waving your hand dismissively. "Besides, it sends the wrong message if I just throw them away without giving them to you. Not to mention, a lot of the girls don't like me to begin with because I'm one of the few people you can tolerate for more than a few minutes at the time. You've never had a girlfriend, Kei, even if they aren't girlfriend material, couldn't you at least make a few more friends?"
"I can barely deal with you and Tadashi, I don't need anymore friends," Kei told you, and you laughed.
"Keep telling yourself that Kei. I'll see you guys later, alright?"
Tadashi and Kei nodded, watching you leave before they rejoined practice.
"Are you sure she isn't your girlfriend, Tsukishima?" Sugawara asked, watching the blocker with mild interest.
Despite being second years now, their former upperclassmen were showing up more as tournament season drew closer. Though Kei also suspected that they were being nostalgic and that they missed their underclassmen's chaos.
"I'm sure," he assured the former setter. "Why?"
"Nothing, just a hunch," he murmured.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Guys, do you ever wonder how many people see you on the side of the street and think, 'Wow, they are the most beautiful person I have ever seen'?" you asked, as you hung upside down on the monkey bars.
"I think the blood is going to your head, (Y/F/N)," Tadashi teased.
"No, I'm serious," you said, turning to look at him. "I was thinking, earlier, about how Kei keeps getting all these love letters, and it made me wonder how many people see me as attractive, but never say anything. I don't think it's very many," you admitted, "but I wonder if they are out there."
Tadashi sighed, putting his hands on his forehead in an exasperated manner.
"(Y/F/N)," he said, sounding almost breathless, "just because Kei is getting letters doesn't mean that people don't find you attractive."
"I'm not saying people don't find me attractive," you said, swinging yourself up onto the bars again. "I know someone in the world must have standards that low, but just because they find me attractive doesn't mean they would date me."
"Why are we talking about this?" Kei asked, annoyance riddling his tone.
"Technically Tadashi and I were talking about it," you told him. "You were simply listening to the conversation."
"That doesn't tell me why this is the topic of conversation," he countered.
"I'm just saying! Kei keeps getting all these letters, and it makes me wonder if these girls actually think that they're in love with him. Attraction is really just a release of chemicals in the brain from when we were simply a species trying to survive. But that's not love," you said.
"So what's love to you?" Tadashi asked, curious.
"I think real, true love is when you see something that reminds you of them and you smile, even without realizing it. I think it's when it hurts to see them hurt, but you stay by them instead of seeking revenge, knowing they need you in the moment. I think it's the little inside jokes that mean nothing to people around you, but it's everything to you. I think it's knowing that there are plenty of people that are better than you out there, but wanting to stick around to be better for that person, to prove that you're worth it.
"I think it's seeing all the broken pieces, and loving them all anyway. It's remembering the little things. It's being able to sit in complete silence and know what the other is saying just because of the way their eyes crinkle. It's knowing that they have the power to break off new pieces, and trusting that they won't. It's when . . . instead of breaking pieces of yourself so that they can handle you, you stay whole. If they choke, you know it's not love, not really.
"It's knowing that you can stand on your own two feet, but leaning on them anyway. It's knowing that you are your own person, but wanting to share it with someone anyway. It's feeling free and wild, but content to stay still, because you trust them. For me, I feel like love is knowing that someone would read with me on a window seat, watching it rain, but they would also drive just a little too fast down older roads with the windows down so we can pretend, just for a moment, that we're in a shitty music video."
You smiled as you turned yourself upside down on the monkey bars again.
"I think it's kind of like what we have, but more romantic."
"You've been reading too much fanfiction," Kei muttered.
"Maybe," you admitted. "But maybe that's because I want to be able to spew romantic bullshit like that when I finally find a guy that likes me for me. I realize that, realistically, I'll probably never feel like that. Or at least, I won't feel it enough to put it into words like that. Fantasy never lives up to reality after all. But it's a nice thought."
"So, you don't think you'll ever find something like that?" Tadashi asked.
"I think that I'll either end up married to a man that was good enough, or on my own with no social life except you and Kei. I'll rely on work to keep me entertained."
Kei snorted.
"What's so funny you overly salted French fry?" you asked, raising an eyebrow.
"If I ever think you're marrying a man that's just 'good enough', I'll say 'I object!' at the wedding," he told you.
"Oh yeah?" you asked, smiling. "And why's that?"
"Because you deserve more than that," he said, looking you in the eye. "(Y/F/N), you are not the kind of girl that should end up with 'good enough'. You're too . . . free for that. Although, maybe independent is a better word. You would wither with just 'good enough', and that's not something I'm willing to let happen."
"Aw, so you do care about me," you cooed, swinging yourself upright onto the bars. "And don't worry Kei, we both know that Tadashi and I will never let you settle with 'good enough' either."
"What about me?" Tadashi squawked, and you laughed.
"Come 'Dashi," you chided, "we all know that you won't end up with 'good enough' even if you try."
His cheeks went pink and you laughed again.
Kei, as much as he pretended otherwise, really loved seeing you and Tadashi laugh like this. It reminded him that there were people who didn't see just the bastard act that he threw up to protect himself.
He loved the way your dimple appeared when you gave Tadashi that real smile, not the smirk or the grin you gave people. He loved seeing Tadashi carefree and not hiding behind his hand when he laughed or smiled.
He loved being able to sit and watch the two of you interact, but know that he could pop into the conversation whenever.
"Kei, that look on your face is kind of creepy," you teased, sliding to the ground to ruffle his hair, a small way of telling him you didn't mean it. "What's it for?"
"Nothing," he muttered, hoping to the heavens that his ears weren't turning pink, though they probably were.
"Come on Tsukki," Tadashi said, giving him a look, "we've all been friends for years. We know you better than that."
"I'm just glad is all," he murmured.
"Glad for what?" you asked, wrapping your arms around his shoulders, leaning over them to look at his face.
"You. Tadashi. You know, my friends," he confessed.
Damn it! His ears were definitely pink.
But he didn't shove you off.
Most people assumed that Kei was a jerk all the time, and while that might have been true for anyone else, you and Tadashi were the exceptions to his rule.
You and Tadashi had been friends with him for almost your whole lives, and both of you had been there during the brother debacle.
You and Kei had lived in the same neighborhood for years, and had been a part of more than a few conversations that had been forced by social convention, and your mother had been good friends with his in high school, though they had lost touch after that.
You had noticed Tadashi being bullied in class and had stepped in, defending him and deciding that he was more worth your time than the other kids.
Which led you to Kei, when you found out that he had helped Tadashi on the playground, even if that had never been his original intention.
The three of you had become a trio of sorts in your later years, though your reputations weren't the most . . . innocent.
Kei had always had a sharp tongue and a quicker wit, and his irritation seemed to have no limits.
You were on level with him, though you were much harder to set off than he was.
Tadashi never really provoked, but he watched as the two of you eviscerated anyone that insulted him.
Kei was ruthless with people who made comments on you and/or Tadashi, never giving them a chance to get another word in, though they had often tried, simply making themselves seem more like idiots.
On the other hand, you tended to let people hang themselves with their own tongues, before using that quick wit and sharp tongue to gut them like the pigs that they were.
Tadashi had little confidence on his own, and he tended to be more affected by words than you or Kei, so most of the time he let you and Kei handle people, but every once in a while, he would be set off.
Nothing was scarier than Tadashi getting pissed. He was rarely ever confrontational, but when something set him off, it was terrifying. He got really quiet, and he never raised his voice. There was a quiet kind of fury that radiated from him when he got like that, and if you and Kei used your words to eviscerate, Tadashi used his to give someone hypothermia. He would make them get colder and colder before their brains tricked them into thinking they were too hot, and then ended them.
All three of you were terrifying in your own ways, but that didn't mean you were like that all the time.
Kei wasn't an asshole all the time, and he enjoyed receiving hugs and other types of physical affection, he was just shit at reciprocating it and letting others see that more 'vulnerable side of him', as he put it. He was better at fixing problems logically. He helped you and Tadashi study, or sometimes bought gifts to make you both feel better, little things that still made your days.
Tadashi was someone who might not be confrontational, but he was very good about getting you and Kei out of your heads when something did hit a chink in your respective armors. He knew that both you and Kei were more affected by what people said than most people were led to believe. He was also a very good listener.
You were the giver of physical affection when the boys needed it. Kei tended to need it more than Tadashi, since Tadashi had his moms who were more than willing to give hugs. Kei didn't like his mother thinking anything was wrong, and he didn't completely trust his brother anymore, so physical contact was kept to a minimum.
Tadashi was okay with giving Kei affection, but most of the time, when it came to Kei, you were the one he went to.
You had asked him once, why he always came to you.
"I sometimes think Tadashi puts me up on a pedestal," he had admitted. "He knows me, and he's my friend, but sometimes it feels like I can't disappoint him. I don't feel that way with you. Besides, your short enough that hugging you feels better. Plus, Tadashi is all bones."
"We're glad for you too Kei," you told him, leaning your chin on his shoulder.
Tadashi nodded, taking a seat beside Kei.
Kei's heart clenched, like it often did when he was reminded that he really did have great friends, and his ears got hotter.
"Alright, enough of the mushy stuff," he muttered, trying to wave you and Tadashi away.
"Come on Kei," you whined softly, gently bumping your head with his, "we all know that you have a heart! Don't be that way, it's just us."
Kei made a small noise, and you laughed, releasing him so that you could sit on his other side, peering up into his face with your adorable fucking doe eyes.
"You know you don't have to pretend with us," you murmured, leaning on his shoulder, taking his hand.
"Yeah, we've all been friends for long enough Tsukki," Tadashi agreed, leaning his head on Kei's other shoulder.
"I hate you both," he muttered, trying to hide his face in his hands.
"Nuh uh," you said, pulling away to pull his hands from his face, sounding like a child. "No hiding from us."
You took his hand again, and for a while, all three of you just sat there, enjoying each other's company.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Tsukishima! You're girlfriend is here again," Suga said, gesturing to where you were walking through the doors of the gym, laughing with Yachi.
"Again, she's not my girlfriend," Kei muttered.
He remembered, suddenly, about the promise you had both made when you were middle school and boys were starting to notice girls and vice versa.
"Kei and (Y/F/N) would make such a cute couple when they're older," your mother had told his, smiling as you both chatted at a neighborhood barbeque, being two of the only children there that could hold an intelligent conversation.
At that point, you and Kei were more than acquaintances, but you weren't exactly friends yet either.
Neither mother had realized that you and Kei had overheard, and when Kei had glanced at you, your nose was wrinkled like it did when you were grossed out by something, your expression mirroring his.
"Promise me something Kei," you had said, turning your attention back to him. "Promise me that you won't ever fall in love with me."
"Why not? I mean, I won't, but I want a reason," he had said, arms crossed as he looked at you.
"Because we're friends," you had said, like it had been the simplest thing in the world. "And because if we ended up falling in love and dating that means Tadashi would feel left out all the time and I won't let that happen. So promise me."
"I promise not to fall in love with you if you promise not to fall in love with me," he had offered.
"Deal," you had told him, offering him your hand to shake on it.
"Ah, Kei, there you are!" you said, smiling at him. "There's another letter. Based on the amount of hearts on it, another confession."
"Keep it," he muttered, pushing your hand away when you went to hand him the letter.
"Kei, I don't want to carry around another one of your love letters," you said, wrinkling your nose. "These aren't for me, and they make me sick, so please, for the sake of our friendship, take the damn thing off my hands so I can wash them."
He sighed, a pained sound that had you laughing, and took the letter, slipping it into his bag, wondering if the girls at school would ever take a hint that he wasn't interested.
"Why is Tsukishima so popular with the girls?" Hinata wondered out loud. "His personality is so crappy."
"And I don't think I've ever heard him say a nice thing to anyone," Kageyama added.
"That's because you guys are irritating to Kei," you interrupted, turning to them, arms crossed and hip cocked out to the side. "Most of the time, he's helpful and respectful. You two just aren't the kind of people he would voluntarily hang out with."
"Rude," Hinata cried, then pouted, "but true."
"The only people Kei really rips into are people he doesn't like, doesn't respect, people who disrespect Tadashi or me, or people who betray his trust. You two are options one and two."
"He just seems like an unfeeling asshole, even after three years of knowing him."
"I think it's the opposite actually," you told them.
Kei could feel your eyes on the back of his head, either unaware that he could hear you or uncaring that he was listening.
"I think he feels all of it, at one hundred and twenty percent. He just acts like that to avoid getting hurt in most cases. In your case though, he really does just not like you. Or, more accurately, he doesn't like that you two are so clearly passionate about something when he gets scared of something hurting him if he cares too much. Like Tadashi told you once, Hinata, if Kei didn't at least like volleyball, he wouldn't be here. Just think about it," you told them.
"(Y/F/N)!" Tadashi called. "We're still studying at your place right?"
"Yeah, just like always," you assured him. "Kei, you still have the spare key, just let yourselves in."
He nodded, spinning the ball in his hands as he watched you walk away.
"Tsukishima, are you one hundred percent sure that she isn't your girlfriend?" Suga asked, eyebrows raised at him.
"Three hundred percent sure," Tsukishima grunted as he served the ball.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Why do you never accept any of the confessions, Kei?" you asked, looking at him from over the top of your textbook.
Your head was hanging off the side of your bed and your socked feet were crossed at the ankles, resting on your wall.
Kei's neck hurt just looking at you, but he didn't say anything to you about moving.
"Because they aren't my type," Kei muttered, checking his notes before writing down an answer on his paper.
"What is your type?" you inquired, rolling onto your stomach, setting you book to the side. "Because I don't think I've ever seen you take an interest in a girl." You frowned, then added, "Romantic interest I mean."
Kei wondered what other interest you had thought he might get out of that, but he decided not to question it. Despite knowing you for years, and being as close to you as he was, you still managed to be somewhat of a mystery to him.
"Does it matter?" he asked.
"Yes, because I want to be able to set you up when you decide you're ready for a relationship!" you said. "Tadashi and I would make great wingmen. Well, wingman and wingwoman, but you know what I mean."
Kei actually turned to look at you at that one.
"You're serious," he muttered, noting the look on your face.
"Yes! Unless you don't think you're going to want a romantic relationship, which is completely okay too. I just want you to be happy is all."
"You know what makes me happy?" Kei asked, pausing to let you answer, but instead you stayed quiet, watching him with those damn doe eyes. "Getting my homework done and not having to deal with confessions from girls that don't know the first thing about me."
Kei heard your small chuckle, and as he went back to his homework, he found himself smiling.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kei had always known that, objectively, you were very pretty (he had heard enough from his classmates over the years to have it verified), but sometimes you did something, and he would realize all over again.
Today you had laughed a little harder as he ripped into someone, and you had given him one of those dimpled smiles that he adored so much, and he had stood there blinking for a moment before he cooled his expression again.
Kei didn't really understand why he got so mad when someone flirted with you in the hallways, or when you came to cheer the team on during games.
He had always assumed that it was merely because you were such good friends, but then he had realized that no one else got that mad, they didn't feel the same painful burning in the pit of their stomachs at seeing you with another guy.
Asking Suga had done absolutely nothing, the setter had merely suggested that Kei was jealous, which was absolute bullshit, and he wasn't desperate enough to contact Bokuto or Kuroo yet, though he might be at the point of asking Akaashi.
He would know if he liked you the way that the older setter was implying. He would know if he was in love with you.
Right?
Kei could worry about that later, right now he was more interested in getting that guy's hand off your shoulder and away from your neck.
"(Y/F/N)," Kei called, striding over, back straight. "The game's about to start, we've got to go."
"Kei!" you chirped, smiling at him, moving to his side immediately, giving the guy that had been bugging you a sugar sweet (and utterly fake) smile over your shoulder. "See you around never, hopefully!"
Kei pressed his lips together to hide his smile, letting you wrap your hand around his.
"Was that guy bothering you?"
"A little, but you got there just in time," you told him, your hand tightening it's grip for a moment before you let him go. "Thanks for always having the most amazing timing Kei!"
"Yeah, whatever," he told you, bumping your shoulder with his.
"Seriously, what is it with the girls that hang around with us and wandering off?" Daichi asked when you walked into the gym with Kei.
"Sorry guys! I just wanted to buy a key chain," you said, holding it up, grinning. "It's not my fault that athletes can't take no for an answer! Sometimes I think your on-court determination bleeds over into everyday life."
There were some nods, and Kei watched as the guy that had been bothering you stepped onto the other side of the court.
He followed the guy's eyes to you, where you were laughing at something Kageyama said.
Did- Did that moron just lick his lips at you?
Kei felt that burning sensation in his stomach again.
Kei didn't realize that he had been glaring until he heard your voice right next to him.
"Anyway, good luck guys!" you told them, affectionately ruffling Tadashi's hair, hip-checking Kei on your way into the stands, flashing him that damned dimpled grin over your shoulder.
"Hey, Blondie!" the guy called. "You, Glasses! I'm talkin' to you!"
Kei turned to see the guy from earlier smirking at him.
"Dude, your girl is so hot!" he said.
Kei felt the entirety of Karasuno tense behind him as they realized what was going on.
"Yeah, she is," Kei agreed.
"Think you'd be willin' to share her with me? I promise I'd take good care of her."
"Oh shit," someone muttered, and Kei saw red for a moment before he got himself under control.
"Is your ass jealous about the amount of shit that just came out of your mouth?" Kei asked, putting his hand on his hip.
Using insults like that was never really his thing, but he was really pissed right now.
"Hey, Tsukki," Tadashi said quietly, "you might not want to-"
"What did you just say to me?" the guy asked.
"Hey, Kei!" you called from the stands, waving at him to catch his attention. "Leave the smack talk for when you actually win! Block his spike down his throat for me, alright?"
He nodded, giving you a grin that had you giving him one right back.
"God forbid if she was a guy and they were on the same team," Suga muttered, and the others nodded.
"Alright, time for the game to start," Daichi said.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kei did as you asked: he blocked every single spike that the guy tried to send over the net, and Kei could already tell that the guy was pissed at the end of the first set.
He was spiking more and more aggressively, which was screwing up aim to the point where Kei didn't even really need to block.
"Go Karasuno!" you cheered, smiling at the team from the stands.
Kei, every time he felt his anger getting out of control, looked to you in the stands to calm down.
Finally, the scumbag was so out of control that he was switched out with another wing spiker.
From there, the game was easy.
By the end of it, Kei hadn't even needed to look for you in the stands. Not only had he memorized where you were, but no one else on that team pissed him off as much as that scumbag did.
As soon as the ball landed on the other side of the court, and it was called, you were running down from the stands, running for him.
"Kei! You were so great!" you cheered, wrapping your arms around his neck, jumping at him.
He wrapped his arms around your waist to keep the both of you from falling over, and he buried his face in your neck as he set you down.
"Oh my gosh, Kei that was so amazing! I think that's the best you've played all season! Seriously! Some of those blocked looked like they would've ripped my arms off, that was so cool!" you gushed, holding onto his forearms.
Kei nodded, giving Tadashi a look over your shoulder for a moment, letting him know that it was okay for him to go on ahead.
"Thanks for blocking the slime ball for me Kei!" you said, smiling up at him. "And what did he say to you that got you so pissed off? I haven't seen you that mad in forever!"
"It was nothing," he told you, "it was stupid."
"Are you sure?" you inquired, looking up at him.
"Yeah, I'm sure the team will tell you about it later."
"Alright, I just wanted to make sure that you were okay," you told him, "'cause you looked really pissed. I haven't seen you that pissed off since that one guy tried to make Tadashi cry."
"I don't like it when people make you uncomfortable like that," Kei said. "It really pisses me off."
"Is that why you kept looking at me during the game?" you asked, and Kei wondered if any other girl would've been so honest with him about something like this, or if it as just the fact that you had both spent so much time together growing up. "I noticed that you always looked at me whenever you had the chance."
Kei nodded, gesturing with his head towards the doors, so that he could catch up with the team and talk with you at the same time.
"Yeah, that was one of the reasons. It kept me focused on the scumbag's spikes, and it calmed me down enough so that I didn't punch him whenever we were across the net from each other."
"I kinda wish that you had, but I also know that it would've gotten you ejected from the game, which is not something I want to happen. Anyway, thanks Kei," you told him, smiling up at him.
"Yeah, always," he said, putting his hand on your head.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was when you were over at his house Sunday morning when he realized that he might need to call Kuroo and Bokuto.
You, Kei, and Tadashi had had a sleepover, but Tadashi had left early to spend some time with his moms, so Kei had woken up to you with a hand on his chest and his arm numb from where it was pillowing your head.
The three of you had been sitting on Kei's bed watching a movie, but Tadashi had tipped over sometime near the halfway marker, and Kei had fallen asleep not long after that, so he could only assume that you had fallen asleep sometime after Tadashi had left this morning.
Kei turned on his side slowly, not wanting to wake you up, wrapping an arm around your waist softly.
He toyed with your hair, twisting it in his fingers gently, brushing it behind your ear, threading his fingers through it.
He wasn't ready to get up for the day yet, so he laid there with you, wondering how it would be ten years in the future.
Would your hair be longer? Would you cut it shorter? Would you dye it? Would you have kids by then?
That last one had made him pause.
He had always known that short of you dying or some huge falling out, Kei was in no way going to be able to get rid of you or Tadashi, but he had never even considered dating you, let alone anything beyond that.
So why was he wondering what your kids would look like? Why was he wondering how many you would want, if any? Why was he questioning how many stray animals you might bring home after work?
He sounded like every lovesick fool that got his heart broken in those weird movies that Tadashi liked to watch.
Kei glanced down at your face, and he suddenly found himself unable to think of a reality where he didn't wake up like this for the rest of his life.
When had he stopped seeing you as his little sister, or the annoying female friend that all of his classmates admired? When had he started seeing you as someone he could fall in love with, if he hadn't already?
But even with this new revelation, he couldn't bring himself to pull away from you.
Kei loved it when you both bickered like you hated each other, and he loved when you were able to throw back any insulting thing he said to you. He loved being able to have real conversations with you, but he also liked just sitting quietly with you.
This though, this was by far his favorite thing, seeing all the stress gone from your body, seeing your face without any kind of mask on, he adore seeing the calm serenity that came with sleep.
"Mm, Kei?" you asked sleepily, glancing at him. "What time is it?"
"Still early," he murmured, tucking you into his chest again. "Go back to sleep."
"M'kay," you said, nuzzling in close.
Kei waited for a minute before he grabbed his phone and his glasses from the side table, texting Kuroo.
Normally, he would've talked to Tadashi, but Kei didn't want to drag him into anything until he knew for sure, just in case he was wrong.
Kei: I have a question for you
Kuroo: What's up Tsukki-poo?
Kei: First, don't call me that
Kei: Secondly, and this is completely hypothetical, but how do you know when you love someone?
Kuroo: Aww, is my little kouhai in love with someone? How cute!
Kei made a face, taking a deep breath and glancing at you quickly before he turned his attention back to his phone.
Kei: Just answer the question
Kuroo: We're talking hypothetically?
Kei: Yeah
Kuroo: Can't you use the internet for this stuff? Why ask me? Why not ask Freckles? Or the pretty setter on your team?
Kei: The internet would tell me I have cancer, not that I might be in love with someone
Kei: Secondly, as for the setter comment, I'm assuming you mean Suga
Kei: Thirdly, he would go tell Tadashi, and then the possible love interest, and I don't want to deal with any of those things
Kei: So, please, for the sake of my sanity, just answer the question
Kuroo: Alright, alright. Jeesh. Hypothetically, if you were in love with someone you might start noticing their presence more
Kuroo: It would feel almost like you have a compass where the needle points to them, and you can't turn it off. You notice the little things more than normal, and you know them. I mean, really know them. They feel almost like a part of you
Kuroo: Seeing them hurt hurts you. You constantly feel the need to make sure that they're okay. Even the little things that kind of annoy you are a huge part of what you love about them
Kuroo: You find yourself smiling at them, even when they're doing something completely mundane, and you could recognize their voice in a crowd. Suddenly, they went from just another person, to someone that you could find in a crowd, even if they blend in enough that they normally fade into the background
Kuroo: Hypothetically speaking, of course
Kei was surprised by how much his mentor was able to type out in such a short amount of time, but in the end, he was most surprised by how much it lined up with what you had told him earlier. The basics were the same, and Kei sighed, realizing what this meant for him.
Kei: How to I make it stop?
Kei: Hypothetically
Kuroo: When I figure that out, I'll let you know
Kei blinked at that, then sighed again.
Kei: Thanks, Kuroo-san.
Kuroo: Sure thing Skinny, let me know how it goes
Kuroo: Hypothetically, of course
Kei couldn't help but chuckle softly, and he set his phone aside, wondering whether this was going to change anything, and how long he had been in love with you.
He had always noticed the little things about you, it was just a part of him being perceptive, and he had grown up with you, so he automatically knew you better than 80 percent of the people you went to school with.
But he was more in tune with your presence than even Tadashi was. And he had always managed to pick your voice out in a crowd.
He glanced down at you, and suddenly, instead of being worried about if he was in love you, he was more worried about whether you loved him back or not.
Kei debated texting Tadashi, but he decided that it could wait, and he wanted to enjoy this time with you unhindered.
Kei knew that he was never going to say anything unless he was sure you felt the same way about him.
For one thing, you were nice enough that it was entirely possible that you would date him just because you were too nice to say no. For another thing, he wasn't the kind of guy to make a move if he thought it wouldn't lead to a win. Not to mention, that if you he did ask you out and you said no, that might make things awkward in the friend group, and Kei didn't want that to happen.
He had gone this long, right? What was a few more weeks?
But, of course, things didn't go the way that Kei wanted them to.
As the end of a semester approached, as well as the end of the year, projects piled on, as did speeches and tests.
Kei had always done well academically, and he wasn't as stressed as some of the other people he knew, like Hinata and Kageyama.
You seemed to be feeling the pressure too, even though Kei knew that you were going to be getting some of the higher grades in class, just like always.
You were freaking out more than usual, and Kei realized that he needed to do something if he didn't want you to overwork yourself.
He found you on the swings at the park by your house.
He had gone over to make sure that you had eaten something, but your mother had told him that you had gone out earlier, and that she didn't know where you were.
"Hey," he said, announcing his presence as he settled beside you.
"Hey Kei," you replied, staring at the ground in front of you like it held the key to the universe.
"Are you okay?"
"No," you admitted. "I'm so nervous and freaked out that I can't eat anything. I have that weird mineral deficiency so drinking water just makes me really dizzy and I almost passed out when I stood up at the end of the day and there's nothing I can do about it! Not to mention that, once again, I got stuck with the morons that aren't going to do anything to help me with the project so I'm stuck doing everything by myself. For some of my classes, that's okay, I can just tell the teacher that they didn't help, but for some of them they're going to give me that bullshit lecture about working together. I have no idea what to do my speech about for that one class, and I have so many back to back tests that I think I might forget everything!"
Kei let you ramble, watching the way your hands moved around, trying to communicate the stress and anger and nerves that you were experiencing all at once.
He watched the way yours eyes widened and squeezed shut to add extra emphasis. He watched the way you glanced over at him to make sure that he was still paying attention, to make sure that you weren't annoying him, the way you smiled a little bit whenever you noticed that he was watching you and that you weren't annoying him by talking.
Somehow, you started talking about the constant love letters that he was getting.
"I mean, I get that some girls feel the need to have a boyfriend," you said, rolling your eyes, "but I have bigger things to worry about than their attraction to you, you know? One girl gave me a letter the other day, and I was so tired that I didn't realize what it was, and I started to read it and I was caught between wanting to laugh, cry, and hurl all at the same time."
Kei perked up at that.
"It made me kinda sad too," you admitted, your voice quieting. "I mean, it must really suck for you, getting all these letters claiming that they love you when they don't even know that first thing about who you are. I mean, it was hilarious that she even thought that you were interested in getting a girlfriend, and it was sickening how many times she used the words 'hot', 'sexy', and 'unadulteratedly handsome' to describe you."
Kei knew he made a face at that, with the way you laughed, before you continued, your voice even quieter than it had been, "But it made me sad to think that you keep having to read these things. They claim that they love you, that they want to be with you, and they don't even know who you are. Not in a way that matters at least. I don't know, it was just kind of depressing I guess."
You glanced at him, turning to face him.
"I hope you don't mind, but I started throwing them away. I'm getting sick and tired of being their carrier pigeon, and I really hate thinking about you having to deal with them all the time. If they want to confess they can find another way to do it."
"I don't mind, at all," he assured you, and you smiled at him.
But then your smiled faded into something similar to a frown.
"Hey, Kei?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you remember that promise we made when we were kids?"
"How could I forget? You never shut up about it during middle school," he teased.
"I broke that promise," you whispered. "That was one of the reasons that those letters made me so upset. As someone who has loved you, really loved you, for longer than they've known about you, it made me sick to read some of the things they said. I know that that makes me sound like some kind of possessive bitch, but it's true."
Kei stared at you, wondering if he had just heard that right.
You were in love with him? And had been for more than three years?
Kei felt like the breath had been knocked out of him.
"What's with the face Kei?" you asked. "I thought you knew already."
Kei didn't think that his eyes could get any wider than they were at that moment.
"Y-You . . . I-I what?"
"Come on Kei, you had to have noticed by now," you said, looking more concerned by the second. "I mean, it's not like I act the same way around everyone else that I do around you."
Kei let his brain process the things that you were telling him before he managed to squeak out, "You mean, like a friend thing right?"
You bit your lip, checking his face for something, fiddling with your fingers in your lap.
"No, Kei," you said finally. "I mean like, I want to be your girlfriend kind of love."
You weren't looking at him now, and he was worried you were taking this the wrong way. He didn't want this to end in a misunderstanding so he sighed dramatically.
"So, you're telling me that I could have confessed months ago and avoided the entire overthinking part of my recent internal panic?" he asked, watching the way your brows furrowed with confusion, the way your head whipped up when you finally realized what he was saying to you.
"A-Are you saying that the feeling is mutual?" you asked, eyes wide as you both looked at each other.
"Yes, you dumbass," he teased, smiling softly at you. "I broke that promise too, so it's okay, since we both broke it."
Now you were the one staring at him in disbelief.
Then you were off your swing and pacing in front of them, waving your hands around like a madwoman.
"Holy shit, you love me back," you muttered, glancing at him out of the corner of your eye every few seconds, like you were worried he would disappear. "I-I don't know what to do from here. I never thought that I would get this far. Is . . . is this where we talk about whether we want this to be a serious thing?" you asked. "Is this where we agree that we love each other but we pretend like nothing's changed? What am I supposed to do in this situation?"
"For one thing," Kei said, standing so that he could wrap his hands around your wrists, gently making you look at him. "You could calm down and let me get a word or two in before you make yourself black out."
You nodded, taking a deep breath.
"For another," he continued, "you and I should go back to your house. Your mom is worried sick about you, and you need to eat something before you pass out. We can have a serious talk about what this means once you aren't in danger of passing out from exhaustion or malnutrition."
"Okay, but only because I know that you're going to make me do it anyway," you told him, making him laugh.
You both walked in silence for a while before you asked, "When did you realize?"
"A few months ago," he admitted. "I think I've always known, but that guy- the slimeball that I blocked- got on my nerves enough that I knew it wasn't some platonic 'protect a friend' thing. I started seeing it more and more after that. I talked to Kuroo-san about it when I was nearly 100 percent sure, and that solidified it for me I guess, that night you and Tadashi stayed over and we watched that horrid slasher film. I woke up and you were right there by my side, and suddenly I couldn't imagine waking up any other way."
"That really was a horrible movie," you muttered. "I didn't think you were going to be the cheesy one today, but then again, you are always surprising me. And you didn't think to tell me?"
"I was worried it would make things awkward, and I didn't want to say something and be wrong, you know? Besides, you can't say anything. How long have you known?"
"Do you remember the summer before our third year in middle school and we all stayed at my grandparents' camp for three weeks?"
"That long? We were- what?- twelve?"
"Yeah. I remember that there was a thunderstorm the first night we were there, and I got up in the middle of the night because I couldn't sleep, so I stood on the deck, in a tank top and shorts because I wanted to. I don't even remember how long I had been out there when you wandered out. I remember calling you a dumbass because 'What if I was a murderer?' and you just called me short.
"We both stood there for a few minutes, and when I shivered, you wrapped your arms around my waist from behind me, pressing your chest to my back and calling me an idiot for wearing something so light in the middle of a thunderstorm. Instead of doing the sensible thing and getting a blanket or a jacket, you just hugged me and stood there with me until I couldn't stand it and we went inside."
Kei remembered that. He had seen you standing out on the deck when the lightning had flashed, and he had been worried when you weren't in your room, so he had gone out to check on you.
You had looked so happy, standing there in the rain, listening to the thunder crash in the distance.
He had wanted to stay with you, so he had.
It was one of the first times he had decided that he didn't care what it looked like, he cared for you, and he was going to show it somehow.
Kei slipped his hand into yours, interlacing your fingers together.
You glanced at him, but you didn't say anything, just squeezed his hand and walked with him.
When you both got back to your house, you grabbed a plate of food and plopped down at your desk in your room.
Kei lounged on your bed while you ate, watching you flip through a textbook and scribble notes in between bites of food.
When you pushed the plate to the side, your turned to face him.
"So."
"So."
You both locked eyes and chuckled.
"I already told you what I wanted out of this," you told him, shrugging. "I'm fine with whatever we decide, but that's my best case scenario ending for this."
"You make this sound like a business meeting," he teased, watching you stand up to move next to him on your bed.
"What do you want from this, Kei?" you asked, glancing down at your lap.
"I want you to be my girlfriend," he admitted. "I want to glare at guys that think they even have a chance with you. I want to kiss you for good luck before a game, all that sappy shit that everyone says that I wouldn't be into."
You smiled, laughing a little breathlessly for a moment before you comprehended everything he said.
"All of it?" you asked, turning those damned doe eyes on him again.
"All of it," he confirmed.
You chuckled softly, taking his hand again.
"Good. Me too."
"Good," he replied, pressing a quick kiss to your temple.
You giggled, something that made Kei stop for a moment, because you weren't the type of girl to giggle, at anything.
He smiled softly at you, and he wondered how much shit he was going to get from his team with you around, but he realized that it wasn't anything he needed to worry about yet.
Then he remembered something else.
"Hey, do you want to cause a little chaos?" Kei asked you.
"How so?"
"Remember how I said I talked to Kuroo-san?"
"Yeah?"
"Well, he wanted me to let him know how it went," Kei admitted. "I have him, Bokuto, Akaashi, Lev, and Hinata in a discord group chat. I want to try something, if you're okay with it."
"What do you have in mind?" you asked, arching an eyebrow, a smirk on your lips that said you were up for almost anything.
Skinny: img.jpg
Skinny: Thanks Kuroo-san
five people are typing...
Kei laughed, leaning over to show you the chaos that had ensued when he had sent the group chat the photo of you kissing his cheek.
You giggled at the many exclamation points and question marks, snickering at Kuroo's reply.
"I love you," you told him, kissing his cheek again.
"I love you too," he said, ignoring the calls that were coming through on his phone as he leaned over to cup your face in his hands.

WITH A CUTE S/O <3 (PART 1 / PART 2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ft. Kiyoko Shimizu, Hitoka Yachi and Alisa Haiba
Warnings: None
Genre: Fluff
A/N: This was made with wlw in mind and the language may be female centered but has no specific body parts or girl titles (she/they) And Lev is portrayed as being attracted to you.
Tumblr media
🤎Kiyoko Shimizu
She has made a promise within herself to protect you from everything and everyone the second she laid her eyes on you, you were too precious to deal with anything so she decided to be there for you.
This went on for a while but there’s now something swirling inside her every time you thank her and shoot her a smile, suddenly the room is hot and she forgets how to make coherent sentences an- oh, she gets it now.
She thought about waiting until Valentine’s day, thought about all the people at your feet, thought about never confessing, about distancing herself from you, but it wouldn’t take long until you were the one confessing, and she almost short circuited on the spot
Ever since you started dating you got yourself a bodyguard, no one wrongs you, not just because she will go for the kill, but because she’s got 10 boys + Nishinoya and Tanaka ready to hide a body and swear Kiyoko was with them at 11:17pm, wednesday, 24th.
She blushes at absolutely everything you do, she looks like a different person when you’re around, stuttering and trying her best not to hug you tightly and crush you.
.
.
.
🤎Hitoka Yachi
She tends to overthink and keep misjudging people and what drew her to you was that you didn’t give her any reason to paranoid over, you’re cute, and it shows, it’s easy to talk to you and you’re so approachable, little did she know that’s exactly what you first thought about her as well.
Everyone around the two of you is dumbfounded about how bright the two of you are together, when you’re both pining over each other, getting flustered, blushing and getting shy, it causes the same reaction as videos of baby animals being silly on everyone around.
One of you is going to end up confessing accidentally and having both of you almost fainting of nervousness until realizing it’s a reciprocated love, and go on in a “where do you want to go?” “anywhere you like, you can decide” “no, you can decide I’m fine with any place” for 20 more minutes trying to find a first date.
Her social medias are no longer hers, there’s more pictures of you there then any of her own, she loves when you go on pretty places and let her take hundreds of pictures in all different angles, she spends hours editing and making the light and background hug you flawlessly before posting and sometimes making you complain “Why didn’t you take that pimple out of my face too!?” “But you looked perfect already!!”
Also, prepare yourself to have an edit of you under every cheesy “look, I have an s/o” trend on TikTok or Instagram, everyone knows both of you are dating because she adores showing you off every second she possibly can.
Tumblr media
🤎Alisa Haiba
When both of you first met she wouldn’t stop pointing out the fact that you are absolutely adorable, she would go on in detail about how your hair is cute, your eyes, your clothes and would fluster you until someone else stopped her, but it was crystal clear she had only good intentions when doing so.
It did take a while for her to notice, actually, it took a comment, because the second her brother said “woow, they’re kinda cute, are they single?” was the second she panicked, gesticulating and trying to explain to him how you’re out of everybody’s league, no one can date you, ever!! Becau-- ohh… You two need to talk.
She tried being romantic, got you flowers and chocolate, prepared a playlist and put on her best clothes to talk to you at the park. Her intentions were obvious but it was a good thing, her efforts paid off because you were about to be the cute and hot couple.
She legitimately gets sad if you don’t let her spoil you, but just spoil her back, on food, rings, necklaces, she loves receiving gifts and will use and keep everything you give her, letters and flowers have a special place in her heart, she always blushes hard receiving anything from you, followed by an “OWWNT!!!” and her hands finding her cheeks before jumping at whatever you have for her.
If anyone flirts with you, or starts the “Omg, you’re so cute, did you know that?” get ready to use your scary dog privileges, she’s now glaring them down with all her willpower and of course she thinks you’re a cute little thing, but you’re HER cute little thing and she is completely ready to “She didn’t ask for your opinion, you’re talking uninvited, excuse yourself” and she will get pouty and ask to hold your hand until you two get home.

Pairings: Tsukishima Kei x reader
Notes: I haven’t been posting much, so here’s yet ANOTHER one-shot from my Quotev/Wattpad while you all wait for me.
Tsukishima is my favorite Haikyuu boi and I adore the salty dinosaur! I usually see him portrayed as sadistic but I always pictured him having a sweet spot for his darling.
WARNINGS: Yandere themes, swearing
OTHER NOTES: (Y/n) is relatively short in this story so, if you're tall, I apologize.
Part 2 is here: https://www.tumblr.com/yanderecrazysie/719434357153153024/hey-i-just-reread-your-first-ever-oneshot-from?
Tsukishima Kei was pretty sure he didn't feel things the way others did.
Other people were so expressive: Hinata always grinned ear to ear when happy, Kageyama face screwed up in pure malice when angry, Tanaka dramatically cried when sad, and even the calmest of his teammates portrayed so many vivid emotions on their faces. Ones that Tsukishima didn't really experience.
Sure, he got angry- but it was more of an annoyed or peeved feeling, noticeable by just a deeper scowl than usual. He wouldn't yell himself hoarse, throw punches, or really go too far to express his anger. Why? Because it wasn't strong enough to invoke that kind of reaction. Tsukishima's sadness showed in slight frowns.
Happiness was, perhaps, the least common emotion for the blond middle blocker. He had rarely felt true, unhindered joy... Amusement? Check. The volleyball team was full of idiots. Pride? Check. He was fully aware of the smug smiles and smirks that pulled on his lips when he was able to show off or prove himself better than others.
But there was one type of emotion Tsukishima had never experienced even in the slightest. Romance. He'd never had a crush or found himself attracted to anyone and he thought it was stupid to try to find "love" if it wasn't there for him. Tanaka and Nishinoya made bigger fools of themselves than normal over Kiyoko's mere presence- it absolutely disgusted Tsukishima.
If that's what romantic attraction made people act like, he wanted nothing to do with it.
His mom said love would find him when he least expected it.
His dad said people do crazy things for love.
At the time, the stoic blond just scoffed and did his best to end the conversation as quickly as possible. He knew that would never happen to him and he didn't really care.
Both of Tsukishima's parents were right.
More than either could have ever known.
Tsukishima's calm walk down the hallway came to an abrupt end when he was side-checked by a couple of boys racing each other. Normally, they would have earned a simple tch and over-the-shoulder glare but it was hard to do that when his glasses were knocked off. He had heard it slide away and was reduced to bending low and blindly grasping with his hands.
It would have been easier if the floors weren't so littered. Tsukishima was sure he'd grabbed his glasses, only to come up with a candy wrapped in his fingers. It must have skidded away...
Normally, he was impartial to Yamaguchi being at his side but he realized it would have been helpful to have his only friend nearby in this instance. The sound of muffled snickering reached his ears and his jaw clenched in response. The students that chose to mock him instead of helping him only added to his rising irritation. He was seriously beginning to wonder what he would do. He only had so much time between classes-
"Hold still for a sec."
A girl's soothing voice interrupted his thoughts, prompting him to notice a vaguely, through his blurry vision, person-shaped figure approaching him. The person was getting a little too close for Tsukishima's comfort and he jerked his head back at the sudden sensation of smooth plastic pressing against his skin.
"Hold still!"
He obeyed the insistent voice and tried to ignore the plastic sliding against his skin, thoroughly confused. Before he knew it, his glasses were on his face once more and a short (h/c)-haired girl was removing her hands from the sides of his glasses' frame.
She was putting my glasses on me?
Tsukishima's mind was brought back to clarity well after his vision was. He cleared his throat and got to his feet, looking down at his rescuer. Damn, I think she's shorter than Nishinoya-
Now that Tsukishima was seeing the girl with fully-functional sight he couldn't help but take in the angel he'd been graced with. (H/l) (h/c} hair that he'd love to stroke, (e/c) eyes that shined up at him, beautiful (s/c) skin...
The tall blond swallowed the sudden lump in his throat, desperately wracking his brain for something to say. Thank her. I should thank her. But when he parted his lips, his mouth dried and the words died on his tongue. He couldn't even imagine how stupid he must look to her...
"I hope I didn't smudge the glass or anything." Those shining (e/c) eyes dulled and turned to gaze down at her sneakers. "I did my best to hold only the frame so I'm really sorry if my fingerprints got on the glass or something."
Tsukishima's brain was spitting out thoughts faster than he could process them and yet he was still frozen in place. Say something- Say literally anything- Thank her- Do something- STOP STANDING THERE GAPING LIKE A MORON-
"No!" Tsukishima's mouth managed to blurt out the word at the cost of it coming out more panicked than he intended. "I mean, no, you didn't get any fingerprints on it." He cleared his throat and adjusted himself. His still-racing mind had at least connected to his voice and he was going to use it while he could. "Thank you for helping me. It was very kind of you."
The girl's eyes snapped back up to meet his golden ones and a sweet smile spread across her face. "It was no problem! I'm just glad to help!" Her unwavering attention was sending Tsukishima's systems into overdrive.
What the hell is happening to me?
His heart was pounding in his ears and hammering against his ribcage at the same time and he'd never felt it beating this fast, even after the most intense matches he's played. His long legs were struggling to keep him upright and his hands were trembling uncontrollably. He simultaneously felt sick to his stomach and unbelievably happy. He could feel sweat materializing on his forehead.
Part of him wanted to attribute these sensations to some sort of illness but it had come on too sudden. And it was obvious that the girl in front of him was the source of it. These "symptoms" were all things his parents, teammates, brother, and Yamaguchi had described for one thing- the thing Tsukishima knew he was now experiencing...
Tsukishima Kei was in love.
And he had absolutely no clue what to do about it.
"...and I thought it was really cool!" The girl finished her speech with another big smile that made Tsukishima's heart flutter in his chest. There was only one problem.
Shit, I wasn't listening.
Tsukishima's mouth parted as he helplessly gazed down at the (h/c)-haired girl, silently pleading for some sort of easy-way-out to come to him so that he wouldn't look even more like an idiot. Please don't think I'm stupid- I'm really not- I swear-
To his surprise, the girl simply laughed. Not a mocking laugh like he might have expected, but a bit of a knowing chuckle. "You weren't listening to a thing I said, were you?" She laughed again, the sound like a melody in his ears.
Sheepishly, he shook his head, trying to will away the flush he knew was rising on his heated cheeks. This isn't like me. I've never acted like this...
"I'm sorry, I just got lost in thought." Be the calm, cool, and collected Kei you normally are. "I don't think we've met. What's your name?" See? This isn't so bad. I've got this.
"Well, uh, actually we've been in the same class all year, this is just the first time we've really talked."
Tsukishima really wanted to die. He was the embodiment of mortification and he would have been perfectly happy if the world ended right after she finished her sentence. We're in the same class and I didn't even recognize her.
"It's alright!" The girl had raised a hand, almost as if to stop the wave of embarrassment Tsukishima was drowning in, and gave him yet another genuine smile, "You don't seem to talk to many people so I didn't expect you to remember me or anything! I'm (L/n) (Y/n) and it's great to finally talk to you, Tsukishima!"
The world was no longer allowed to end, Tsukishima wouldn't allow it. He felt like he was gently tossed into heaven itself. She doesn't think I'm an idiot AND she knows my name? She's happy to talk to me? Does she like me then?
His golden eyes scanned (Y/n) for signs that she may be experiencing the same symptoms that he was. She doesn't seem to be shaking or having any trouble speaking. But maybe she's better at hiding it? I mean, she's been noticing me for a while, so maybe she's hiding it.
(Y/n) tilted her head and her smile took on a hint of mischief, "I never got to tell you what I was saying earlier."
"O-oh?" Tsukishima internally cursed his past self for not paying attention earlier.
"I was saying that your presentation last week was really cool! You seemed to know your stuff and it was probably the only speech I actually learned a lot from."
Dinosaurs.
Last week's presentation was on Dinosaurs.
I fucking love her.
"That's how I fell in love with you, (Y/n)." Tsukishima said casually, cleaning his glasses with the hem of his shirt. "I didn't believe in love at first sight. I guess I didn't even believe in love at all but... ah... that changed. As you can see..."
The tall blond gestured almost condescendingly down to (Y/n) who glared up at him through puffy, tear-filled eyes. Each limb separately tied to a bedpost with a thick rope and mouth stuffed with a gag secured around the back of her head, the poor girl was completely immobilized.
Tsukishima slipped his glasses back on and gazed fondly at the girl he'd fallen in love with. "My father said people do crazy things when they're in love." A dark chuckle left his lips as he strode over to the bed (Y/n) lay helpless on. "I guess he's right."
He leaned over until his nose was brushing against (Y/n)'s, his golden eyes softening when they met (e/c) ones. "I really do love you (Y/n). I hope you see that. And I hope- no, I know- that you'll feel the same one day."
He angled his head and pressed a gentle kiss to her tear-streaked cheek and took a moment to appreciate the way she shivered under his warm breath as he exhaled against her neck. A smirk tugged at the corners of his lips as he hummed in satisfaction.
Standing upright once more, the tall boy slipped his hands into his pants pockets and stared down at (Y/n), his gaze turning serious. "I experience emotions I never knew existed when I'm with you. I enjoy most of those emotions. There was one, however..." he tilted his head sharply, his eyes darkening and voice going cold, "that I did not enjoy in the slightest. Do you have any idea what that might be?"
He was glaring at (Y/n) now, the girl's body squirming in trepidation as she gazed back up at him with fearful eyes. She may not have been able to answer, but she knew exactly what he was talking about.
"Rejection."
Tsukishima Kei was spitting the words of his speech out like they were trying to poison him, a bitterness lacing his cutting tone, "I worked so hard for so long to work up the courage to ask you to be mine. But you didn't wait for me. No, you picked the first guy to waltz in and ask you out."
He could see, out of the corner of his eye, (Y/n) desperately trying to talk through her gag. To deny his accusations. Even through his cold storm of anger, she still managed to send warmth to his heart.
"It's fine. I forgive you, (Y/n). I always will." Tsukishima sighed in defeat, "I just couldn't stand the idea of feeling that again. I know it's not right of me to go to extremes but... well..."
The boy tilted his head again, blond hair falling to the side as a mischievous grin spread across his face. His golden eyes snapped to meet (Y/n)'s once again flashing against the reflection of his glasses. The girl trapped on his bed shrank back into the mattress as much as her bindings would allow, tears flowing freely at Tsukishima's visage.
He was the one in control now. And he reveled in the power.
"I read up on Stockholm Syndrome." Tsukishima's voice was clearly teasing (Y/n), giving her a glimpse at a future she eventually wouldn't deny, no matter how much she insisted against it now, "Did you know that, in the situation Stockholm Syndrome got its name from, the hostages became afraid of the police and wanted to protect their captors instead of the other way around? And that was just after six days."
He couldn't hold back a derisive chuckle, looming over his own hostage with an expression of pure amusement. "I'm willing to wait more than six days if you need it, (Y/n)."
One of his hands cupped (Y/n)'s cheek and he used his thumb to gently wipe her tears away. "I'm going to take good care of you. I love you more than you could ever know. You make me feel things that I never thought I could. Things I never knew existed."
Tsukishima's teasing grin curled into a devious smirk, his eyes raking over her form ravenously. (Y/n) shivered from the intensity of his gaze.
"And right now, I'd like to feel even more."
END NOTES: This was the first one-shot I ever made.
