#troy 2004#the iliad#hector of troy#eric bana#love spotting this specifical dialogue from the book#the fun part of how it plays out here is that#it has two possible readings#one is probably the one the writers intended#a modern biased “ religion and the power of the priests allways ruining things”#but also#its open to interpretation that the gods are messing with the trojans#maybe this dude trully interpreted the omens right#but the gods who were against troy were using him#the omens were legit#the gods were lying to him#is like in that moment of the iliad where the women of troy are praying to athena#but she was like nop i don't care i'm your enemy#what i find super interesting
