you see. in my Head heres how i think things go. when they were young kris was one of those kids that didnt know how to handle other kids their age being nice to them (like noelle would) so they either scamper off like a mouse or develop that strange little kid crush that kids get. i feel like a lot of people's conclusions are that noelle used to like kris but i actually think, it's the other way around, as in like kris never actually properly resolved their Strange Feelings towards her especially since Tragedy Struck and their families kinda broke apart.

ive said it previously but kris generally strikes me as the type of person to end up dealing with things on their own so as to not trouble anyone... i think they spent a lot of time running away from their feelings about a lot of things, only for it to all catch up to them at once... i think they know they care about noelle a lot despite whatever happens, but they desperately run away from feeling anything More if they can help it (interesting comparison with susie, because she makes kris feel more content with themself, while i imagine kris just thinks they'd weigh noelle down)

noelle just treats them more or less the same as always, maybe behaving more childish alone with them like we see in ch2 (which kris also does to a degree lol) and in a strange way i think her feelings are specifically like? non-romantic? she has not and probably will not """fall""" for them in the traditional sense (sidestepping weird route shenanigans) but there is this intense closeness that she desperately wants and misses from them. even if they werent actually Close Close theyre still close, in a strange way.

my current obsession, going on strong for like more than a year by now. Also the first ship where I actually interacted with fandom meaningfully for a prolonged people of time instead of mostly ghosting. They’re really special to me! I think something I like about them is how core their relationship is to their story, and exploring their characters. It makes fan content and AUs really interesting and fun. In my opinion, a lot of their issues would still exist without blue lock, and they’d have to work them out in any setting, and I think that’s neat.

Satosugu From Jujutsu Kaisen

my past obsession, I spent a great deal of time with them as well before moving on to nagireo. Something I think of when it comes to stsg is the idea of an unfulfilled love that’s not lesser or weaker by virtue of being unfulfilled. I really like the idea that Gojo’s last words to geto were “I love you”, said for the first time at the end for this reason. Well, I am an angst enjoyer. I also enjoy the concept of love not being enough. Gojo and Geto’s individual relationship to power and agency is pretty cool to dive into too, the roles they had to fill in society and such. Their diverging paths. A good ship can’t be made with bad/uninteresting characters after all and I like all the character study fics out there.

Ah yes the awkwardness of drunk kissing your coworkers bestie that you're certain is way too good for you. I love love love them so much. They're just very comforting to me. Anxious eel and silly octopus (all of the cast of characters have assigned aquatic organisms). The comic as a whole deals a lot with anxiety, which is really cathartic, but I think in general its really nice seeing Yuudai opening up to people. I also like Yuudai's pessimism and skittery abrasive personality being balanced out by Taisei's optimism and cheerfulness. They also just make for some funny interactions that I've really liked reading heheh

It’s the great gatsby vibes, the sunshine character and the deeply traumatized character who doesn’t see themselves as lovable, etc. I really love them and may or may not have made a slide deck presentation on Vanitas no carte for powerpoint night with my friends and 1/3 of it was centered around them.

Ludovica X Luck from Tiger Tiger-

Since this isn't an anime/is probably more obscure, here's the link to Tiger Tiger! Independently published by the artist and free to read, though you can also buy the first book to read in bookstores and such. I genuinely recommend it so much.

Ludovica and Luck are just so funny together, I love them so much. It's an eldritch doomsday god and the hyperfixated-on-sea-sponges mad scientist said being wants to impress. what is there not to like? its chaos x chaos but 2 different flavors. Also the source material is great, and very queer. #stealing your brother's ship to study sea sponges and getting caught up in doomsday. Also him and his 2nd mate are in love but dont realize bc reasons. Its great.

grumpy x sunshine always gets me. Plus their parallels and the whole loneliness thing. It’s a great ship- though what really sold me was reading fics like The Sun Will Come up. They really have so much potential.

Kide X Coel from Project Novos

another comic free to read here except this one has.. been on hiatus since 2022.. cries. I think the author has mentioned getting back to it though. Project Novos fulfills my childhood friends to enemies that dont actually hate each other to lovers dreams. The plot follows a government conspiracy and uprising but the story centers around Coel and Kide's relationship, which I do expect to be carried out romantically despite not being explicit so far (in part because it is not a mainstream manga).

This too, also follows the more optimistic character x a more pessimistic traumatized character trope... I have a type ok

Yuudai Tanaka from Sakana

I like seeing characters suffer from anxiety, especially in a more ugly way, because I suffer from anxiety, and while I'm a lot nicer than Yuudai, I get frustrated when anxiety is portrayed in a way that may seem "cute" because it really doesn't feel "cute" hahaha. I mean, being anxious can mean being shy sometimes, which I can understand finding cute, but it can also mean being avoidant, skittish, or less friendly.

Ludovica Bonnaire from Tiger Tiger

She's chaotic, she's sweet, she's adorable, she's remarkably intelligent, she's fixated on sea sponges and wants to learn more about them! I really love Ludovica. She feels really refreshing as a character- a woman of science who's bubbly, excitable, and chaotic. She's kind of naive, but not at all dumb or incompetent. She falls into the mad scientist category without it defining her character. She doesn't let anything stop her but isn't somehow perfect, and she's incredibly funny. She's just great!

Nagi Seishiro from Blue Lock

Just.. look at him. he has a cactus, that's like plus 20 points

I have a soft spot for characters that are more subtly lacking in life and struggling, but aren't conscious of it. Also characters that discover that there's more to life than they first thought. Nagi seems fine on the outside, but if you look at some of his habits, they're actually rather concerning - subsisting off jelly packets, thinking life is a pain, getting a cactus to practice talking to people because he hadn't TALKED in so long. One of the nicest/most meaningful things his parents said to him that made him happy being "Don't die".. I also enjoy his disconnect from other people, and how he doesn't really understand the world around him.

I also like the space he occupies within the blue lock canon as a “hidden path”, and the contrast he presents in comparison to the other characters. I think Nagi is made more interesting by being a side character to Blue Lock than if he was the true main character. Idk if that’s a controversial take to have about your fav haha but really I think being the main character of a spinoff is the best place he could be. His situationship with the most important person in his life that he met 6 months ago is great too.

Greed from Fullmetal Alchemist

I LOVE the concept of the friendship is magic character being greed itself. I like the idea of interpersonal love being related to greed. Greed is wanting things, and it is often villainized, but wanting things is the basis of so much more than what we usually associate with greed - and in fact, some of our deepest wants are related to love - in all the forms it takes. Anyways, Greed is very special to me.

Vanitas from Vanitas no Carte

I just love a character who hates themselves so much that they won't let themselves be loved, but they don't have a gloomy exterior to reflect that (making it harder to tell).

Geto Suguru from Jujutsu Kaisen

I think I just love a guy who put so much pressure on himself to torture himself doing the right thing that he crashed out and did all the bad things. I see it as kind of the downfalls of needing everything to be simple and solvable. Geto preserved his sense of control and the livability of his own life, at the expense of becoming a bad person. variety shows are definitely nostalgic for the fans 'cause you two refuse to team up with each other for games unless you were assigned to the same team. fans eat it up so much, there would be so many clips going around on tiktok, instagram and twitter.

while we're on the topic of rivalry, ISAC is a big day for y/nzuha nation.

She finds humanity in general to be quite beautiful because of how much of an interesting species they are to her, but she especially enjoys the wonder and awe that lights up your face whenever she takes you to places that she knows you'll love. Also, if you're someone who actually has the guts to tell her off (unlike most of her past companions) when she makes a mistake that could've totally been preventable then she definitely admires you for that and appreciates the way you keep her grounded, even if she'd never admit it.

Comfort- How would they help if their s/o is feeling down/have a panic attack etc.?

Instantly drops whatever she's doing (both figuratively and literally) to come take care of you. She'll ask what's wrong and the best way that she can help you feel better, usually wrapping you up in a comforting hug unless you object to being touched. At times it can feel a little condescending to be cooed at by her like the "fragile little creature" that you are, but you know she means well and just wants to see you feel better.

She's not one who likes to think about that too much. Timelords can live for eons, and humans can't. It's far too painful for her to imagine a world, or universe, or galaxy without you in it (though if she allows herself to be selfish, then sometimes she likes to imagine finding some way to keep you young with her forever, but she'd never tell you this of course). At most, her plans for the future are traveling with you for as long as possible until you either request to return home to earth or something were to tragically happen to you.

Kiss- Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?

Your first kiss either happened one of two ways: she was overly excited about something and kissed you spontaneously without even realizing it until a couple of minutes after the fact, or it was after a trip you almost died on where she poured her heart out to you. In the first case, the kiss would be a simple peck, soft and sweet, but in the second it'd be much more tender and filled with all the pent-up feelings she had for you. In general she's a fairly good kisser, though most of them are quick ones that she gives when she's excited so there's not much time for you to react lmao. Longer kisses usually only happen when you're laying curled up in bed together after finally being able to get her to settle down for once or if you've been separated from each other during a trip and finally get to reunite.

Love Confession- How would they confess to their s/o?

Definitely after a trip where you both almost died (again). She was so terrified she was going to lose you, and she tells you this with tears in her eyes as she hugs you tight, whispering a broken "I love you so, so very much" as her voice catches in her throat. She initially planned on doing something more romantic, but after such a catastrophic event had taken place she didn't want to waste any time on letting you know just how much she cared.

as someone new to the pmd fandom, i'm surprised duskvyle and future trio wasn't popular before?? Like seeing why those ships are so compelling in-context is what got me to the juicy bits of explorers in the first place, the gameplay loop isn't my cup of tea so I almost gave up TToTT

when i tell you my 9/11 was getting to the credits of se5 thinking "dusknoir/grovyle is so blatant im gonna feast with the fics and fanart" and finding. 3 fics. maybe. and thankfully there was quite more fanart around in the character tags but it was HARD finding ship stuff.

The ship tag for actaeonshipping was SAD, man. it had like. 20 posts, one of which was someone saying they didnt like the ship. the ship name was clearly not used anymore and there was no new ship namee so the content with the couple was harder to find. scrolling down people with plenty of reblogs made it so i could find good fanart in a good amount but BROOOO its genuinely heartbreaking how underrated these ships are. futuretrioshipping was also a bit rare bc it had another ship name?? i copied cozybells' name for it bc it sounded more intuitive lol

In any regular fandom the duskvyle/future trio tags WOULD BE (or should be, lol) some of the more popular ones. i dont think theres any ship as compelling as those two in the entire franchise (i dont count hero/partner bc they are meant to be projections of your characters so they might be different for everyone). like se5 is literally built on a duskvyle foundation and it makes for one of the best stories in the entire franchise, with an emotional catharsis that rivals the main story. the characters complement each other in incredibly ways. moreover, the polycule allows for richer dynamics with celebi, who is sorely neglected in the game. i have never felt that a trio of characters fit so perfectly together until i got obsessed with these three.

Ive had people comment on my previous post that in the 2010s they were also overlooked and duskvyle ESPECIALLY was incredibly niche and had a minuscule community. apparently things got way better in 2020s, so let's hope it continues like that, even if the occassional post throwing shit at the trio or its fans is quite annoying

my favorite ships of all time are probably all rpf tbh. From the same band, too. Serj x Daron, Shavo x Daron, John x Shavo. They're from System of a Down and I swear they're all made for each other (maybe not John cuz he's homophobic but fuck it we ball I'll make him gay RIDE ME PLEASE what) I love watching silly little clips of them, especially that one where John randomly grabs Shavo by his stomach with one arm and throws him onto the floor and then Daron jumps in. It's sad that there's not many fics of them, although the artwork is insanely good <333... ILY SOAD SHIPPERS!1!1!2!2!1! Another clip I like is one that I've only seen in one compilation of Daron saying "I love you, Serj" into the microphone. Its probably a clip from a show in the 90's due to the poor ass quality. But either way, it's awesome sauce..... Let's go homosexuals. My fav Shavo x Daron moment is during an interview where Daron randomly licks his bald head...... I also love to see Shavo match his energy during the older shows while they were all on drugs or whatever. I also found a kerrang magazine with some good ass shit in it.

Distraction (Zosan X reader)

Plot: its your's and nami's job to distract some pirates in a night club while the rest of the crew steal from their ship. Theirs only one problem, those pirates get a little too handy. Basically you being super sexy in front of them

Warning: Strong language, SFW but slight sexual content, seduction, jealousy, blood, violence, making out.

It was all Nami's idea, she wanted to steal form the big pirate ship but there where too many guys to take on and a marine base near by. Luckily there was a night club in the town and after a few days of flirting with those men she managed to convince most of them to meet her at the club that night. she promised she would bring friends so none of them got left out. Those friends being you and Robin, it has been a very long time since you've been to a club but your a surprisingly good dancer, you often Tango with Sanji in the kitchen. Sanji and Zoro were against it form the get go but Nami fought them on this saying her plan would be ruined "Why Not just you and Robin?" Zoro yelled pointing at the black haired woman "Because theres like 15 of them, us two can't distract all of them" Nami fights back getting in Zoro's face "I dont think we should do this at all, what are those guys gonna do to you beautiful lady's?" Sanji asks getting panicked at the thought of other pirates touching his girls.

Robin places a hand on your shoulder trying to get you to calm the two down. You didn't think this plan was a bad one and you only had feeling for the two boys so what was the problem. You sign and walk over to Zoro placing your hand on his shoulder "Its going to be ok. Im not letting them do this on their own." Zoro's face quickly turned to you before he could say anything you smiled and turned to Sanji "They don't mean anything to use. just more money in our pockets. we need it to buy supply at the next place, plus free drinks" The two boys look at each other and sigh. Theirs no point in arguing with you but there is something the can do "Fine but were going with you. I know you can handle yourselves but I'll be there in case you need me" Sanji pipes in earning a nod from Nami and Robin "Me too" Zoro nods not wanting to leave you.

With that the plan was set and everyone in agreement. You, Nami and Robin went to get changed, Nami gave you one of her dresses to wear since you didn't have any "Sexy" cloths as she called it. You did each others hair and makes up before leaving the room walking down to the kitchen where everyone was getting ready. Usopp, Brook and Franky gasped when you all entered. Nami in a shiny blue short dress, the hem just going past her waist, the straps going around her neck leaving her back exposed and a long v neckline showing her cleavage. Her hair long and straitened, red lips and blue eye shadow. Robin in a pink glitter short dress, the hem just touching her knees. Straps dangling off her shoulders and a heart shaped neckline, hair tied up in a long pony tail and pink eye shadow. You in a purple glitter dress going down to the middle of your thighs, a slit on either side going up to your waist only being held togeather by some black string and a heart shaped neckline with no straps. Your hair was down but curled, not a lot of makeup just a bit of eye liner and nude lip gloss. "We'll what do you think?" Nami said posing for everyone in the room earning nods of approval before turning to leave "Lets go then"

As everyone left the room you where dragged back in by a pare of strong arms, the door slamming shut. Sanji's hand made their way around your waist while zoro's hand was on the door both staring at you intensely. "You've been holding out on us?" Sanji whispers into you neck before kissing it and slightly biting "Its Nami's dress and dont bite, you'll leave a mark" you tried pushing his head away but Zoro grabs your arms "Let him. im gonna leave one too" Zoro's voice got even deeper, it made your heart skip a beat, they were both so hot in that moment. Sanji pulls away form your neck leaving a nice small bruise near your shoulder "So sexy. i cant wait to see you dance" he whispers to you, Zoro lets go of you so Sanji can turn you around to face him, eagerly crashing his lips onto yours while Zoro goes for your neck, biting and sucking next to the hickey Sanji left. You moan into Sanji's mouth bringing your hands up and into his hair pulling him closer, Sanji's tongue slipping into your mouth. The door behind you three slams open "Seriously?? I know she looks hot but don't leave marks" Nami yells the three of you breaking away form each other to look at her. she was so scary when angry and eyes full of fury as she takes out a compact from her small bag. "Come on lets cover those up"

Zoro and Sanji entered the club first getting drinks and sitting in one of the winding booths, Sanji lighting a cigarette and blowing out the smoke. The only seats where those winding black booths curving around to another set. Small black tables placed in different areas where people gathered. the place was packed, playing upbeat music and the DJ headbanging slightly to his own tunes. The walls where black but with all the different shades of blue lights hitting them it made it look like you were under water. Their where two bars one on either side of the large building a dance floor jampacked with people in between. You, Nami and Robin where waiting outside for the pirates to show and when they did they all seemed super happy "Hay lady's. You kept your promise you did bring some beauties" the leader seemed to say the other nodding along. "I never disappoint" Nami answered hugging his arms "Shall we" she says walking in with them, it was only then you realized how many there were, Nami was right there was 15 of them but you were confident with your friends around, you know how to dance and you know you look sexy. A few of them walk after their boss while the others guide you and Robin in, their Hands on your lower backs.

Some men went to get a drink for you all while you, Nami and Robin lead the rest over to the dance floor. By now their ship would be getting raided so you three just had to keep them here for a while. The music was loud but fun to dance too, you started to have fun only really focusing on your friend's until a hand went up the outside of your leg and a body presses again your back swaying with you. Nami gave you a nod giving you the confidence you needed to show off "Hello" he whispers in your ear, you put on the best fake smile you can muster and turn to him quickly placing a hand in his shoulder while you sway your hips going up and down slowly as you did, your other hand running up threw your hair to the music "Nami mentioned you guys were cute but she was wrong... your all very handsome" You lie getting in his face so he can hear you, the smile on his face got big placing his hands on your waist stopping you from going lower down again "Your more beautiful than i thought you'd be" he said back pulling you closer "Flattery will get you many places" he leaned in to try and kiss you only for you to grab one of his hands and spin under it, twirling out but keeping your hand in his "Now now, don't want to make your friend's jealous do we?" you ask letting go of his hand one of guys friends behind you grabbed your hips and stated to dance with you "Come on man, you always rush into things, take it slow for once" the guy behind you says inviting the man from before to join you two. As more of the guys gathered around you, you looked around the room trying not get noticed by the pirates around you. You spotted your two boys sitting in a booth, both staring at you. You don't know why but you wanted to tease them, your gonna pay for it later but it'll be worth it, you smile at the two a real one and wink, keeping your eyes on them as you lean in closer to the man behind you, putting your arm up and around the back of his neck keeping him close to you as you move. instead of swaying side to side you started moving your waist back and forth, your hips moving with it as you slowly went down the man following with you. You only kept you eyes on Sanji and Zoro smiling at them with seductive eyes, you did wish the man behind and in front of you were them, dancing with you and feeling your body. The guy behind you let his hand wonder down your leg grabbing your inner thigh only for you to slap it away. Only your boys get to touch you there no one else, you made sure of that.

The two men sat drinks in one hand and holding each others hand watching the show. Sanji found it very sexy the way you danced taking puffs of his cigarette, his eyes looking over your body until you were joined by a man. His hand tightened on Zoro's catching his attention looking at his boyfriend before looking back at his girlfriend. Zoro leaned back and took a sip of his drink "She looks good" The comment snapped Sanji out of what ever he was thinking about to look at Zoro then back at you "Yea. i just wish it was us there" He sighs leaning back with Zoro laying his head on the sword mans shoulder "I know, I hate it too but she wont let anything happen" He states watching as you pull away form the guy that tried to kiss you. "See" Sanji sighs at Zoro not fully convinced "A lot can happen in seconds, we're both men, we know that their thinking, where their eyes are. Makes me sick" Zoro looks around before placing a kiss on Sanji's head "That's why we're here". As they sat and watched your eyes shifted to them and they realized what you were doing. "That bitch" Zoro leaned forwards a cocky smile on his face watching you, the glass in his hand threatening to brake under his grip. Sanji's eye twitched leaning forward and slamming his glass on the table, the music was too loud for anyone but Zoro to notice. Your eyes never left theirs and it made them want you more than ever. A growl left Zoro's lips his hand tightening around Sanji's "She knows what she's doing" Sanji smiles a little watching you move your hips putting his cigarette out in the ash tray. "She'll be getting it later" Zoro groans slightly his eyes widening when the mans hand went to your thigh, it was all fun and games up until that moment watching you slap away the mans had. The boys noticed the mans face crinkle up into an angry look as he pulled your hair from your neck, You and the man spoke for a few seconds, noticing you had stopped moving but the man was still trying to sway your hips with him. Zoro and Sanji's eyes turned to rage when you turned and slapped the man right in the face.

You enjoyed the cocky smiles on your boyfriends faces. You wanted them to love you, think your beautiful and sexy. The man seemed to notice something pulling you hair away from your neck "Such a slut" he whispers shocking you out of you trance and stopping your hips form moving. The man still tried to dance with you, his hands gripping your hips in a death grip "What?" you asks hoping you didn't hear him right "You have hickies on your neck, some ones already had a go at you. Your such a Slut" he said it to be seductive but you hated that word, it hit you hard, no longer feeling sexy, a sickness rose in you causing anger to hit you and in turn you whipped around pulling away from the man and slapping him hard in the face, his nose starting to bleed instantly. "Your ass better show me some respect" You spat as the other men looked at you in anger

"Y/N?" Nami asks stopping dancing with the leader to see if you were ok. The leader didn't let her go though "Don't worry lass my boys are only trying to have fun". Robin tried to chime in but the men she was dancing with grabbed her arms "Hay get off me" she yelled out, the crowd now starting to notice. Seeing your friends in trouble you decided it was time to teach these boys a lesson, your not an object, your strong and your about to show them that. You turned to the leader and kicked him right in the face, your heal making contact with his jaw, Nami was let go and she turned to punch the same man in the face. The force of both of you sent the man tumbling to the ground the crowd running off to get away from the fight. The men around Robin yelled out in pain and fell to the ground letting go of her, Zoro and Sanji appearing in front of her, them being the cause of their pain. "Fucking Bitch's, Kill them" The leader yelled holding his jaw blood coming out of his mouth and nose. The other pirates pulled out their weapons and come in to attack. Zoro ran slicing a few of the men while sanji lite his foot on fire kicking a few in the face. Robin used her powers to grow hands out the backs of some, pulling their heads back with a crack. Nami and You stood back to back punching and kicking anyone that came at you. It was a fun fight but your attention was drawn to the leader again as he got up pulling out a gun. You didn't notice he had one this whole time, pushing Nami away as he fired missing the both of you. The gun shot got Zoro's attention running at the man and slicing his gun in two before shoving his sword in the mans face. With the leader now at Zoro's mercy the fighting stopped, the mans crew stepping back watching to see if their leader would die. "Well i guess this is a great time for you to empty your pockets as a sorry for giving us a hard time" Nami chimes up a smug smile on her face. The leader sighed and nodes, his crew pulling out everything they had, Nami, Sanji, you and Robin taking any money or things of value before getting ready to leave.

You spotted the man who called you a slut before leaving. Zoro and Sanji walking behind you as you approaches taking his wallet and looking threw it, taking the money he had and shoving his the wallet into his chest "Word of advice.... never call a woman a Slut, That's how you get your nose broken" his eyes shot form you to the two angry men behind you, it was like he was looking at two guard dogs ready to sink their teeth into him and rip him apart on your orders. He then realized that your slap didn't brake his nose and you knew that too. Punching the man square he fell to the ground screaming, his nose broken and bleeding badly. You shook his blood off your hand only for Sanji to take your hand and pull out a napkin to wipe your knuckles, kissing them after its clean making a show of it before leaving your hand in his. Zoro placed his hand on the small of your back walking you out the Club following Nami and Robin.

The sunny set sail, all the treasure form the other ship on the grass deck, it was a lot more than anyone expected and the berry signs in Nami's eyes showed how happy she was. Drinks where given out and Brook played music to celebrate their victory. You, Zoro and Sanji were sitting away form the other, you on Zoro's lap Sanji's hand on your thigh and Zoro's arms around Sanji's waist "You were so hot out there baby" Zoro smirked in your ear kissing your neck. Sanji's hand tightened on your thigh "You kicked that guy's ass good my love" Sanji complemented his face on the other side of you neck. "Y/N, Sanji, Zoro" Luffy yelled running over causing you three to look up at him "Heard you got into a fight. How was it?" your captain asked "It was fun" You says Zoro humming and going back to your neck kissing it and biting it. "I dont think now's a good time luffy." Sanji laughed seeing Zoro's eagerness, Zoro's other hand wrapping around your waist holding you close to his chest. "Arrrrrrr but Nami wont tell me either" Luffy pouts but you manage to make him happy again "Im sure Robin would love to tell you about it" Luffy smiled and looked over to where robin was and nodded "Thanks Y/N" your captain said running off. "Good job" Sanji commented before getting an idea "Hay how about we dance? i want you to move the way you did before. only this time its us holding you" Sanji grabs your chin making you look at him "Anything for you two" you whispers Sanji placing his lips on yours before helping you up, Zoro didn't hesitate to get up with you. he normally wouldn't dance but after today he wanted both you and sanji to dance for him.

You three still stayed away from the group but enjoyed dancing togeather. Sanji deiced after a while that Zoro wasn't doing a good enough job and stood behind the swords man holding his hips "Follow my lead" The cook whispered in Zoro's ear guiding his hips to sway. you turned to place a hand on Zoro's shoulder "Need a hand?" you asks seeing Zoro's face is slightly red but enjoying himself. "That's it , Follow Sanji's lead" You encourage Zoro bringing you in by your hips "Gods your perfect, both of you" he comments making you and Sanji smiles kissing his neck togeather. he groans at the two of you shoving his leg in between yours. you pull away to dance with him more helping him move down and back up, his hand sliding from your hips to your ass. Sanji's lips still on Zoro's neck, his hands slide down to the sword mans thighs making their way in to the middle of his thighs. Zoro crashes his lips onto your and sliding his tongue into your mouth, you both groan at the feeling. In this moment you felt so loved, so beautiful and sexy. You couldn't imagine being with anyone else but the two in front of you. Behind you a loud voice shouted at you three "JUST FUCK ALREADY" Usopp yelled before shoving a hand over his mouth not meaning to say it out loud. You pulled away laughing along with Sanji and Zoro. The rest of the crew joining in the laughter Nami grabbing usopp "Shut up and let them have their fun". Now that the plan was over she didn't care what the three of you did but she was happy at how those two made you happy.

Wrote this to process some things over a couple of months, and, much to my surprise, it helped a lot. I didn't originally intend for it to see the light of day, but I ended up enjoying the ending. please dont whack me lol aaaaa

Sometimes he got like this, uncharacteristically unresponsive, even when it was in his character to be unresponsive. There was a heaviness to his slow breath and a glaze in his eye that left more to be remarked, unfocused on settling dust particles in a dimming sunbeam.

That afternoon, he was slow to pack up his things from the infirmary and the lecture hall. Spirit had waited outside on the massive steps, as he so often did, noting how much time had passed with the slight inclination for a second cigarette, the first one lit after he realized the misstep in timing as it was.

A hup, standing up and turning to step back inside to check on his meister, and, finally, the professor met the evening sun with a distant gaze.

"What took you so long?" Albarn jested.

Stein almost didn't answer. "'Just lost track of time. You could have gone home without me, you know."

Spirit chuffed, but his light-hearted expression tugged to shift as Stein's tone painted the air.

"Nonsense, silly. When else would I get to yammer to you about work?"

Franken exhaled shortly with a forced polite twinge to his brow and waved them both along down the stairs. It was fast-obvious each and every step felt like a free-fall.

They carried on in silence.

The two took turns hosting their homes on Friday nights for shared dinners, recuperation, and wherever else the evenings would take them. Over the year they had been doing this, they found their belongings spread out between each other’s apartments: It was disorganized, but Stein was good at keeping track of things like insects in a web by snippets of pictures and content within his memory.

“Hey, Stein?”

“Hm?”

“I think it’s your turn this week.”

The professor looked up from his thoughts, realizing he took them paces in the other direction towards Spirit’s place.

“Oh, I guess that’s right.” He took pause, unsure of how to apply grace in correcting the mistake, attempting to casually redirect their path when Spirit brushed his sleeve.

“Franken,” he caught his gaze, eye contact visibly shattering his meister’s focus, searching for a more tangible tell. “Let me cook tonight.”

Something somewhere in Stein wanted to argue for the sake of consistent routine, but something else was at the forefront of his decision-making. A beat, and he nodded with an unchanged expression but a softness like that of gratitude in his eyes. He very clearly wanted to express something more verbal, though too long of a pause discredited him from an intended gesture; he closed his gape and readjusted his glasses, thereafter rubbing tired knuckles to his temple, soothing something lost.

“Hey, are you okay?” Spirit had his heels off the ground to tilt his head to his partner, a firm hand to Stein’s bicep; Albarn knew how delicate touches often did more harm than good for grounding techniques.

Acknowledgment flickered in Franken’s reflection, and he was able to re-track, rubbing the back of his neck now and meeting his weapon’s face before quickly splitting away.

“Yeah, I think I’m just… Having a day.”

Spirit squeezed his shoulder. “We don’t have to do dinner if you’re not feeling up to it—”

“No, it’s fine.” Stein cut him off insistently. “I want to.”

The whole truth of the matter was he felt safe with Spirit. He imagined he’d probably sit at his desk or go to bed if he had gone home, but a force within him did not want to be left alone. He wanted Spirit’s company as though his life depended on it.

The death scythe smiled gently. “Off we go, then.”

Paces to the east side of town painted approaching walls in golden-orange sun. The quiet neighborhood looked like a dollhouse come to life at this part of the evening, the streets about to brim with dinner plans and weekend celebrations. In their delay, they had just missed the usual ebb of rush by the time school got out. A silent cyclist passed by.

“Stein…” Spirit was hesitant to cut through the quiet. “I know you don’t like me asking, but…” He brought both of his flat and open hands out in front of himself, paralleling each other, starting apart wide and ending nearer together in the middle of his abdomen, a furrowing questioning stark to his countenance.

There was a sharp shard of annoyance in Stein’s quiet sigh that resulted, but a reasoned defensiveness in his eyes shone years worth of experience he desperately wanted to rewrite.

“You don’t have to answer. You know I only ask because I want to care for you. And I know it needs some practice from both of us.”

Stein half-glanced over to his side, and then back to Spirit. He waved his hand for his focus then nodded his fist at the wrist.

Albarn chuffed but then corrected himself. Do you know why?

The professor wanted to sigh again. Do you know why?

Spirit was only half-confident in the response. Too, he wasn’t sure what would be stepping on his partner’s toes.

I think so.

Winter has… Stein exhibited an uncertainty in his hands, signing the gesture for MIXED, then corrected himself to CONFUSION. He shook it out. “Dissonance.” His voice trailed by the third syllable, already having started small.

Spirit rubbed his meister’s back. I know.

"I'm going to lie down for a while… If you don’t mind.”

The death scythe helped the coat off his partner’s shoulders at the doorway, his limbs heavy and tired.

“Not at all. Should I start dinner and wake you when it’s done?”

He knew he wasn't going to be able to taste anything, and that eating might end up being a chore to the point of nausea, but Spirit knew--they both knew--that a meal and some rest was definitely going to help him think straight. It was obvious Stein thought to deny it, but eventually managed a lost nod.

Spirit exhaled in resolution, taking a moment to squeeze his hand.

“When did you last eat?”

Stein opened his mouth to begin speaking, but nothing came out. He blinked away a tightness in his chest and touched his thumb first to the side of his chin, then his ear.

Yesterday.

Typical he'd skip breakfast. Spirit nodded.

“Is there anything you’d prefer?” He had to admit to himself he knew the questions were making his guest tired.

The professor paused, then slipped his hand from Albarn’s grip to click at his screw, eye contact gone distant beyond them both. Spirit half-mindlessly petted the back of his knuckles to Stein’s forearm to return gentle focus. From nothing, he was clearly becoming overstimulated.

No worries. “I’ll figure something out for us, dear.”

Stein forced a readjustment to meet the side of Spirit’s neck. “Thank you, Spirit.” He flickered sincere eye contact from emerald to aquamarine, held the moment for just a beat, then slunk off to the hallway, too fuzzy and scrambled to worry if the message was received.

Spirit was no stranger to these spells, twicefold: One in seeing Stein in these states before, and another in his own first-hand experience. Well, Spirit corrected his own thoughts, he didn’t exactly understand the non-verbality and shrinking ego from a first-person perspective, but that pit of unprecedented and unanticipated emptiness was certainly no stranger. They had profound moments together that led each of them towards new coping mechanisms, unexpected craftiness in both defense and in aid like that of brugmansia bloom. Sometimes the weekend meals were bargaining, reminders to themselves that they both were human through the reflection of the other.

He knew exactly what to make for dinner.

Spirit tapped the guest bedroom door with soft knuckles, and gently peeled it away from the frame. As his eyes adjusted to the dim, he realized no one was in the neatly made bed.

“Stein?”

He stepped back out to the hall and nudged his own bedroom door that was slightly ajar, eyeing blankets mussed but still no professor to be found. The room took moonglow and the air tasted sweet with chilliness, inviting Albarn to push the door further to see the parallel sliding glass cracked open. On the balcony, his meister sat criss-cross, looking out through the wrought iron railing down to the street.

“Hey,” he made his presence known before stepping out to the cement, an immediate shiver overtaking him. He sat comfortably next to him and followed his trajectory. “What are you looking at, Franken?”

Stein had his arms folded in on themselves awkwardly, but pried one from the knot to out point to the sidewalk of the bistro adjacently below. He made loose hands that seemed to grab at themselves in the center of his body, but Spirit wasn’t able to follow.

“I’m… Sorry, Stein, I don’t know that word.” Albarn said aloud while signing along.

The professor refocused on his partner with a tiny curious twinge to his brow and gestured movements with his hands that looked similar to the last. A pause, and he clarified.

“Stories.”

He looked back out to the street and Spirit followed the trajectory. Gesturing to a man in a blue suit chatting to a woman on the curb, Stein nodded upward.

“What do you think he does?” His voice remained ever-quiet. He then signed the word for “WORK?”

“By the looks of it, maybe… A business man. He has a briefcase.”

Stein shook out his hand to hold a misplaced sigh, but consoled the impulsion by meeting his bolt. He didn’t crank it, though, fingers left in temptation. He unfolded his legs to bring knees to his chest, his raised elbow to rest propped up against them, the other arm squeezing his legs tight.

“I think he’s living a double-life. Maybe that’s his wife, maybe it’s not. Maybe he is a businessman—probably a paper-pusher--but he does something else on the side that she doesn’t know about. They’ve planned a date, but, last second, it has crossed the plans of his second employer. He has to figure out how to cut the dinner early before she realizes that’s not his normal weekday briefcase.”

Spirit went speechless and searched Stein in a received child-like wonder, the game falling into place.

“Oh, look, he did it!” Albarn chimed as the two characters parted ways from each other. Stein grinned, but felt inclined to hide it.

“What about her?” Spirit pointed to a woman at a table on the sidewalk with a relaxed hand to her jaw, looking out to the road in absent thought.

“What about her?” Stein passed the baton.

“She’s…” He hesitated, thinking. “She’s a usual at this cafe. She has the menu memorized like the back of her hand, but pretends she doesn’t think it leaves more to be desired. She fantasizes of having a restaurant of her own where everything is cat-themed and… And involves calamari somehow...”

Stein glanced to Spirit and once he finally caught a returned look, he laughed a single amused chuff, their expressions matching pink in the dark. They both shivered.

“What do you think they think we do?”

“I guess that depends how much you’re out on this balcony.”

Almost as if on cue, they made eye contact with the lady at the table who happened to look up at them.

They waved.

Dinner is ready.

Stein freed his hands from their anchors. What did you make?

Spirit’s smile was warm. Breakfast.

Something of surprise lit up in the meister’s eyes.

Do you want to eat out here or inside?

Franken wasn’t sure what to do with his hands until he decided on tugging to Spirit’s sleeve, then taking his left hand in both of his own, bringing folded knuckles to his temple, shielding his eyes momentarily with a sweet grin. Albarn confessed the regression was in a way alarming, but he felt the genuine comfort start to radiate off of Stein in their shared company. He let his hand out of his meister’s grasp to sweep through his hair and pull him into a hug.

“Let’s go inside.”

I like how the song is both calm, thorough and constant and jumpy, on edge, aimless. It's the calm before and after the storm, and the eye of the hurricane. It's a permanent question that goes unanswered, or answered many times, yet inconclusive. That what their relationship feels to me: sharp-detailed and blurry, with a constant reassurance that it's real.

Engie/Pyro: "Feminine Effects" - of Montreal

Reminds me of a lullaby. In some aspect, their dinamic has a sense of childness, but not in an infantilization way: in a comfort way. They cancel each other's manics, leaving a sated state between them, much like this song. They contrastedly lull. And when the songs says something about being "a teenager when you took me from my mama's bed", let's say it's figurative in their case :)

Medic/Sniper: "Sails, Hermaphroditic" - of Montreal

I like to think of the lyrics as a joke between them, about how they're both too eccentric to be edgelessly compatible and would be easier if any of them were more rational. The music also feels to me like a description of them, fun and erratic.

Demo/Soldier: "Banana Man" - Tally Hall

Any talk between them. Can be from silly and joyful to deep and darkheartened. Anyhow, a good time. They're both outlandish, an alcoholic and a patriotic screaming eagle, and combined they give absolute tomfoolery. Gargantuan gibberish. Gigantic rapscallioness. And they might drag you with them.

A classic. Everyone knows it. It's the tale of how the french troups were reaching Moscow (i think), and when it boiled down to the end, the russians bombarded the city, leaving the famished enemy unvictorious. The told story of triumph, even when outnumbered. It's also a little cliché, but still, it stands out.

Hear me out. I know the song is overplayed, but the theme though. Just being yourself. No strings attached. Exploding like a firework. Fire? Rockets? Hello? No more questions, your honor. To me, they're being extremely true to each other with each other, to a point that's concerning. Like the shot of a rocket that explodes into thounsands of colorful sparks. Someone might get their eyes burnt.

Engie/Scout: "Cars" - The Honeysticks

It's the boistering and egotism with the pride and proudness. It's showing off you're the best and being content with what you got, not wanting more. They're also very keen on cars. Scout for being a showoff, Engie for being obsessed with machines. And exactly that: they're letting everyone know that they're joyous, one way or another.

(also im asking from a polish perspective cause i know you are from here and most vidoes on the matter are from american perspective) how did you went about pricing? what were the first conventions you went to sell to? how do you go about stocking up? is there any conventions that you recommend avoiding? anything you could share

That's so interesting question! I have to admit that most of the videos about being a vendor doesn't work for me JDBDJDH unfortunately there's tons of cute content with people talking about their super inspiring art journey that is just a content, and I'm talking about videos from all over the world. Also don't get me wrong, those videos still can be super enjoyable, but you have to be aware that most of them are not real. I learned much more on my mistakes than on videos on yt or tiktok and I can tell that being a vendor isn't really different from working in a casual shop (the main difference is that you're your own boss, manager and employee). Also I want to clarify that everything below is just my own experience which may be different from other people.

So basically the store MangoMilkStudio was created by my fiancée about 6 or 7 years ago. I helped her a little, tried to open my own online shop as well but it quickly turned out that we prefer to work under the one name and I decided to start adding stuff on, at that moment, our common store.

Our first convention (that doesn't exist anymore) was in Wrocław in 2019 if I remember correctly. It was a barter-like transaction, we made some illustrations in exchange for the booth. We didn't earn much but we both had different jobs at that time and we saw making merch as some kind of a hobby.

If it comes to being a vendor and what cons I recommend- it depends on where you live, how much money do you want to spend on sleeping and transportation, how much on a booth, what kind of con you're interested in. The good thing about Poland is that we have SO MANY cons so you can pick whatever suits you best. I don't want to point out specific conventions, because I know that some of cons work for us but don't work for someone else and vice versa. I think the best way of deciding which con you want to attend is just applying and then consider whether it's worth it after the con is over.

The one but very important mistake that people usually do on their first conventions is that they're expecting to earn a loooot of money and they are disappointed when it doesn't happen. Being a vendor, even as a small business artist, is still a work related to trade and that means you have to put a lot of money in your business before you'll start to earn money, you have to create your own base of customers, you have to know how to talk to the client, how to talk not only about fandom stuff but also about your own products, how to arrange your table so all the products are visible for a client etc. It works on the basis of trial and error and can take a lot of time and effort.

About the prices - if you don't know how to price your product, you should try to check other vendors' price lists and then analyze if that price sufficiently covers your production costs (yes, including your time and effort). And for a love of god DON'T lower your prices too much because of the competition. It never works and it only spoils the market.

After each convention we try to save some money for the next con but also for a restock (and taxes JDBSJSH""" yeah, we unfortunately have huge taxes). If it goes to restocking items like keychains or anything that is acrylic, Poland doesn't really have much good manufactures unfortunately (I hope this will change in the future) so we usually buy stuff in China. I'm not complaining, products are well made, people are super friendly, the only things that can be exhausting are - tariffs, super expensive shipping and long time waiting for a package. So be prepared with some extra money and make sure you won't place an order a week before convention.

Few more tips:

- don't restock merch in large quantities if you don't know if people would buy it. I did it with my Deltarune stickers, people stopped to buy them and I still have tons of them hidden somewhere dhdbdh

- home printers and plotters are great for making things like TY cards, packaging, single stickers but I recommend to find good printing house or manufacturer. It's just more cost-effective in terms of time, materials and nerves. Also if you make a mistake it's on your own, if manufacturer makes a mistake you can ask for a remake

- most people at cons are super cute and friendly but some of them can be weird as well, don't be afraid to set your boundaries

- keep your cash close to you

- don't eat food that was offered to you by someone you don't know (even if that person looks like con helper)

- write down orgs' phone numbers just in case

- remember to eat and drink a lot of water

At the end I want to say that it's hard to make a living from just one artistic job. We have an online store, we're vendors at cons, I make tattoos, commissions (from time to time), now I'm trying my best on patreon. Most of the people I know, that are vendors as well, have a "normal" job. So don't feel bad if you want to start earning money with your art but you still have to work in a second job

theyre doing the raid at the disc. sneeg brings a bunch of villagers out of... somewhere AND IT STARTS!!! the raid gang/everyone online is jimmy, martyn, sausage, sneeg, scott, mog, and cpk.

jimmy realises on wave 2 that he doesnt have a shield?? surely this wont go wrong. he keeps "accidentally" hitting sneeg with his trident. good thing it barely even does half a heart per hit.

martyn calls jimmy a potato/spud then says something like "you look like one of andys toys mr tater head" and jimmys like you know thats a sore subject. and martyns like oh i genuinely did not even think of that. then jimmy goes searching through cpks chests and martyn breaks them so back to normal.

jimmy gets a shield :) then he goes to sort out cpks chests because hes nice like that. he then threatens to kill martyn. hes THEN LIKE "im the bigger man arent i chat. tell me i am."

jims worried he missed the whole raid then he looks over and theres just. a ravager. so hes like okay nvm and goes back to the group. he immediately starts trying to kill martyn and i think its really funny that nobody really tries to stop jimmy. however neither of them kill each other so.

jimmy/cpk/scott get distracted trying to shoot sneeg then jimmy turns around AND THE ENTIRE NEXT WAVE IS BEHIND THEM so he just. screams.

jimmy flees to mogs base in the middle of the water and just starts shooting at anything that moves. mostly sneeg.

MARTYN KILLS JIMMYS DOG. HONK IS GONE. jimmy is setting up a pvp arena he is so desperate to kill martyn.

sneeg wants to mess with his mace so scott holds a totem and sneeg hits him. he gets the achievement for doing 50 hearts of damage in one hit so.

anyway arena is ready. sneeg takes jimmy off to the side and gives him a god apple.

martyn burns all the discs he has on him and they start fighting. its kind of pathetic. jimmy DOES kill martyn but he has a totem so. cpk tries to give jimmy a totem BUT HIS INVENTORY IS FULL so martyn picks it up. he has like 3 totems on him now.

martyn says to call the fight quits. as soon as jimmy agrees martyn tries to attack him again. MOG COMES IN WITH THE STEEL CHAIR

scott starts attacking jimmy (if he dies you have to die :( SHUT UP SCOTT) and jimmy takes a moment before he defends himself. he was not expecting martyn to die. theyre all bickering about it THEN JUST,, SAUSAGE YOU MOTHERFUCKER PUT YOUR MACE DOWN. THEN SNEEG KILLS MOG.

And Scott's reasoning for attacking Jimmy "If Martyn dies you have to die" oh so Scott suddenly cares about Martyn huh. He suddenly doesn't care so much about Jimmy even though he makes a flower husbands reference like every SMP. Suddenly Jimmy has to die because Martyn died, huh. I need to watch this VOD for sure sometime but wow. What I've gotten from this is: - further Sausage dismay - I do not trust Seapeekay - I do not trust Sneeg - Scott is Scott - Property Police had a lot of very nostalgic and nice moments and then they started fighting each other with malice like I've never seen before. (Also Martyn killing Jimmy's dog kinda symbolic to me. Big dogs...)

The only truly good thing here is MOG I LOVE MOG YAYY Mog is AWESOME Mog even came in to defend Jimmy from Martyn. Mog has done nothing wrong ever. He especially didn't deserve to die to Sneeg. The only thing well and good in this SMP is Mog which is funny because I have two nickels now (cough cough SOS SMP) (This SMP wasn't trying to be anything it wasn't though so I'm very much not putting it on the same level as SOS but where SOS was just kinda lame to me, This SMP just made me really upset from the characters' perspective so Mog ends up being one of the only truly positive aspects both times)

Oh, lmao yeah my bad I forgot to mention there were a lot of ships in there. I sincerely think everybody is paired is someone, but I opt to ignore the romance in favor of storytelling and character dynamics. I'm sitting there going "alright. make things worse. make relationships complicated, write ten different kinds of them and then write how they're mended." It's a study on writing to me but I forgot not everybody sees fics that way lol. Some of the things that stuck with me were the conversations adult characters have with each other, but if that content and (definitely more than one pregnancy) is a squick, that's so fair to avoid it. When I was a kid, I used to read those "spy AU" fics a lot LOL, I think my first Pokemon fic was one and it was a Pearlshipping one too. I'm not much of a shipper to begin with, so I'm very easily convinced by others. Ikari tho...Paul is too mean for that, I don't even know where the "troublesome" nickname came from and why it turned into a term of endearment XD It sure is hard to find fics without the main 4 pairing tho huh? Back to relationships tho, since you're on that anime rewatch, if there's any instance of say...oooh, like that episode with Lance and the Gyarados? Ash tried to use the friendship speech to talk Gyarados down, and Lance had to teach him that doesn't work all the time. I think a list of stuff Ash learns from others could be fun. You already got one with the Snowbelle City badge. I've seen a lot of good Ash fics that respect his personality for what it is, and good adults (like Kukui) coming to understand him. Brock and Misty too, I think this thing fics do when they touch upon their family situations and their personal growth is always fun. Hard to write, but really good. I've got one anime only thing you might like, and its this tribute video, type "Pokemon Bonjour Au Revoir" into youtube :3

I am trying to get out of my comfort zone and try other fics since there are some VERY GOOD ones out there that I don't know about because I insist on staying on the ash/dawn; ash&dawn; dawn/zoey or aro ash tags :v

Is not that I hate Ikari, is more that.. If I'm going to read Ikari then it should be from someone whose OTP is Ikari if that makes sense? Not the "this is a pokeshipping fanfic and I need Dawn to be with someone because of compulsory heteronormativeness" yknow? I think I've said it before but.. if you have no strong attachment for a ship, dont include it in your fics... It feels like following a checklist and it's irritating when characters personalities are twisted to make a ship work instead of idk just using those characters by themselves.

Main ikarishippers actually have very cool ideas from what I've seen in the wild (aka fanart). It just bothers me a LOT when every single living being is paired with someone in fanfics... BEING 👏 SINGLE 👏 IS 👏 NOT 👏 A 👏 SIN!

And yeahhhh QAQ there's always a 90% chance Dawn will end up with Paul in Pokeshipping fics, Kenny in Amourshipping and Chloe in Journeyshipping. And I just... ughhhh please please stop, she can be single i beg you Dawn is not going to steal Ash if you leave her unsupervised I prommy orz

Ohh that's a cool idea! There's indeed lots of instances he learns something that he takes with him for the rest of the anime but is easy to miss. Not to mention the other way around (people learning from him) that some absolutely deserve to be remembered and talked about more (Gary's Electivire using his tail just like Bayleef uses her vines my beloved)

And yeah! Fanfics that explore platonic relationships really need more attention. Is one thing the anime rarely focused on but when it did it was really good (Mallow's relationship with both her father and mother is something small but so special to me. I would love more explorations of that family and how she feels having to take the role of mother so young and how she wanted to just have people around her appreciate how much she sacrificed when doing that)

OMG YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! absolutely. i will ramble about aroace literally anybody on the drop of a dime this is one of the best anons to get actually

nene's story is actually the one i have the least about, to be perfectly honest. i have a plot for both emu and tsukasa's stories, but haven't quite figured out one for nene. honestly, i think nene's the type of aroace to not really... care about it that much. she'd never cared about love or romance to begin with, so when she realized it was because she was aroace, it was mostly like "hm. cool. im gonna go play animal crossing now".

as for finding out... i think it would have happened in middle school, back when she was Online Gamer Nene TM full time. with how much she loves games and storytelling, it really only makes sense she'd want to engage with fandom content like fics. however, just... seeing the way people sexualize her favorite characters, or only write/draw shipping content... she didn't care for it. she didn't want to engage with that. not that there was anything wrong with it! people can do whatever they want with fictional game characters. she just. didnt care about it herself. which led to her feeling even more isolated even within her favorite hobbies. i think this would sort of lead her to playing a variety of games so she doesn't have to worry about getting absorbed in fandoms she doesn't care to be a part of. she still checks, every once in a while. for games that she really likes. i think its through this that she eventually stumbles across a popular aroace headcannon, goes "what", googles it, and is like "wow. thats me. sick". and then moves on

but like. even when she's moved on. it's still really nice to know, yknow? it explains why she felt like the odd one out not wanting to ship stuff, or even care to entertain it. there's people out there just like her. it makes her less anxious, a little more sure of herself.

she doesn't ever tell anyone. not even rui. (i mean, they hadn't talked in ages. how is she supposed to? "hi, we havent had a genuine conversation in years, how are you? by the way i discovered im aroace and you probably don't know what that means and honestly i dont really care about it myself. have a good day".) (and once they do start talking again, it just... never came up. she never felt the need to, and he never felt the need to ask.) until my epilouge chapter where they all end up coming out like WHAT WERE ALL AROACE THATS SO SILLY anyways

in casual life, i think nene would have been the type for adults to go "oooh, you have a crush on him, don't you? look at you, all red and shy just thinking about him" when shes simply Just Like That. it was really annoying. she knew she didn't like them like that and that was that. but shes too scared to say that so she just took it. definitely didn't help the "nene needs to learn how to make friends" department. honestly, her only relief from it was with rui- both her parents and the kamishiro parents recognized that the two really did care about each other, but it wasn't like that. also no way in hell they're ruining the one friendship their kids have.

later with emu, i don't think there was any point where people even considered a romance, at least not at first glance. it wasn't like people at school even knew about emu (minus when she snuck in, but why would this hyperactive pink thing be looking for that shy second year?). and people walking the streets didn't really assume they liked each other like that since they were two girls. nene's mom was a little curious if they were dating since emu comes over so often and is so physically affectionate, but she never really pressed. she was mostly just happy nene has friends over that aren't just rui. (also, emu's aroace too, so nothing in her demeanor even made nene consider it could have been romantic. shes just Emu.)

for tsukasa, it's a similar thing. by the time people have realized the two are friends, nene's confident in herself and her feelings enough to shut down the people who would even dare assume she likes a buffoon like that star in that way. there's those people that go "oh but you're mean to him and girls are mean to boys when they have a crush on them" but she's tough enough to go "ew" and move on. (she did complain about it a little to rui on a walk home once. if he ended up in her classroom the next day to "grab her for lunch" and weaponize his dangerous reputation to intimidate them when she wasn't looking, it was sheer coincidence.)

also, i think out of the four, nene falls most on the loveless scale. tsukasa, emu, and rui are all beings made of love despite the fact they don't fall in it. nene's a bit different. she cares about her friends, and she's super good at making them (despite what she thinks), but she doesn't really... love them. not in the ways people usually want to describe love. she would kill a man for them in a heartbeat, don't get me wrong. she just experiences those sorts of feelings differently. it's care, and determination, and hope, and happiness, but not... love. not completely.

anyways aroace gamer nene so real fic will happen once i figure out how to tie these ideas to a plot 👍
