First of all, the reading resonated. Especially the doom scroll one? Like I was doomscroll insta reels when the reading came and it was on point?? I have been watching a lot of reels recently, so it is absolutely right. My higher self sounds really gentle. I am glad I got to learn along with her. The motherly part was also correct, I am someone who is considered very motherly? But yeah. The reading overall resonated!
Thank you for the reading! Hope to interact with you more throughtout the year!

The Jungle Book (1967)
-Wolfgang Reitherman
The Jungle Book is an American Musical comedy film which wa sreleased on October 18, 1967. It is produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by Buena Vista Distribution. Based on Rudyard Kipling’s 1894 book of the same title, it is the 19th Disney Animated feature film and the final animated film to be produced by Walt Disney, who died during its production.
Technique Section:-
In the movie The Jungle Book, rather than applying motion-capture (in the same way as films like Avatar and The Polar Express), they instead used the more complicated process of key-frame animation- again, using real animals for reference to capture photo realistic images of the creatures. The Jungle book was created on transparent ‘cels’, a technique patented by Earl Hurd in 1914. The cels were originally fixed onto register pegs and this way various layers of image could be short at once and backgrounds didn’t need to be repainted each time. However, Disney developed this idea by using a amultipalne camera which photographed a much larger number of layers of frames at once. It also enabled special effects to be created, such as moving water or flickering stars. Backgrounds were hand-painted - with the exception of the waterfall, mostly consisting of footage of the Angel Falls in Venezuela - and sometimes scenery was used in both foreground and bottom and filmed with the multiplane camera to create a notion of depth. It also used Xerography, copying the animator’s drawings onto a light-sensitive aluminium plate and then onto cels, unlike the old, painstaking hand-inking process, tracing them from paper drawings.
Representation Section:-
In the classic Walt Disney animation short The Jungle Book, an abondend child named Mogli is raised by wolves. He lives with other animals peacfully until he is threatned by the retuen of the man-eating tiger Shere Khan. While facing certain death threats, Mowgli must overcome his reluctance to leave his family and friends and return to the ‘man village’. Mowgli braves the jungle’s many perils. Some characters were cut out during the development process: Rocky the short-sighted rhinoceros. Bruce Reitherman voice-over Mowgli, Phil Harris voice-over Baloo the Bear, Sebastian Cabot as Bagheera the Panther and George Sanders as Shere Khan the Tiger.
Reception Section:-
The Jungle Book was released on October 18, 1967. Audiences respond to the short film was quick and filled with enthusiasm. By the end of them 1967 The Jungle Book was they year’s fourth highest grossing short animation film. It recieved positive reviews upon release, undoubtedly influenced by a nostalgic reaction tothe death of Walt Disney. REtrospective reviews were also positive and music and characters also recieved much praise from audience throught the years. The film recieved an approval rating of 88%, with an average rating of 7.2/10. The Jungle Book was re-released threatrically in North America in 1978, 1984 and 1990, and also in Europe throughtout the 1970’s and 1980’s. The film earned over $23.8 million worldwide becoming the most successful animated film released during its initial run.
Personally, watching this movie was very entertaining and seeing friendship of Mowgli and his friends was adorable. Seeing him overcome his threat was adventurous. It was a unique story of a child spending his life happily with animals in jungle.

Modern Paganism - Runes
Runes are a focal point of modern paganism, since they portrait a certain mysticism sought after by many, especially by those of the esoteric variety: Ancient symbols of a long gone ancestral culture, imbued with great symbolism and power. But are they really that laden with symbolism, are they really what many today perceive them to be?
The short answer is No. The biggest problem, in my opinion, stems from the often completely nonsensical usage of runes and interpretations that are not backed by our current scientific understanding of Old Norse culture. So, for starters, I’d like to give a brief history of runes and clear up some very common misconceptions.
A Brief History of Runes
The earliest runes finds that we have are from the 2nd century CE and stem from the area around southern Scandinavia and northern Germania. They are not some genious or gods-given invention, but are rather most likely derived from the latin script, although some scholars still think it might have been derived from the estruscan script. In any event, they are probably, as Düwel suggests, the creation of one or few skilled individuals, that sought to recreate writing for their own culture, while forming their sources into something of their own, from their own culture. Why they didn’t just adapt the latin script is unclear, but some suggest that it might have been to create stronger cultural identity to distance themselves from Rome. In the 2nd and 3rd century, these runes spread first throughtout germanic Settlements in Northern Europe and then throughout the whole of Germania, leaving finds even in my home state of Bavaria. This script was used utterly differently from the way the romans wrote. Whereas in Rome, people wrote a lot of things down, literacy was relatively high for the time – still very low to our standards, but still way higher than anywhere else in Europe -, literature existed not only in oral tradition, but was also recorded; the germanic people on the other hand used their script only in a epigraphic way, meaning small inscriptions with either pragmatic use: Declaration of ownership, memorials, recording of certain events on public stones; or “magical”: invocation of certain gods, invocation of powers (e.g. writing “fly” on a spear to make it fly farther when thrown), etc., with the magical ones being the earliest examples. (see Alu)
As the Northern Germanic dialects of Proto-Germanic began to form a own language, Old Norse, the runes began to change with the language, though not in a way that makes a lot of sense. While normally alphabets tend to get bigger when new sounds get introduced into a language, the set of runes used got a lot smaller in the Scandinavian region, while the Old English futhorc stayed more like Elder Futhark, while adding some new runes to fit the sounds of the language. The Younger Futhark contains 16 instead of the original 24 runes, with some runes like *perthro having had fallen out of use for at least 300 years because of the rarity of certain sounds, some changing into easier forms, like hagall. The new runic futhark was rather hard to read and still only used epigraphically, but in a greater extend than before, upgrading from around 350 finds for Elder Futhark to around 6,000 for Younger Futhark. Runecarving was a profession, as attested by some stones, and not an easy one, judging by the hard writing rules and by some badly made copies of runestones with nonsensical texts that also date back to the timeperiod – 8th/9th .- 12th century. When texts were written, no runes where to be repeated, even between words since word separators where not the norm. Also, runes articuled in the same region of the mouth were very often left out. To see what this means in practice, let’s have a small lesson in rune transliteration and then translation.
(Source: http://www.megalithic.co.uk/modules.php?op=modload&name=a312&file=index&do=showpic&pid=50955) We’ll take the Side A of the famous Jelling stone as an example. The runes themselves look like this:
ᚼᛅᚱᛅᛚᛏᚱ ᛬ ᚴᚢᚾᚢᚴᛦ ᛬ ᛒᛅᚦ ᛬ ᚴᛅᚢᚱᚢᛅ ᚴᚢᛒᛚ ᛬ ᚦᛅᚢᛋᛁ ᛬ ᛅᚠᛏ ᛬ ᚴᚢᚱᛘ ᚠᛅᚦᚢᚱ ᛋᛁᚾ ᛅᚢᚴ ᛅᚠᛏ ᛬ ᚦᚭᚢᚱᚢᛁ ᛬ ᛘᚢᚦᚢᚱ ᛬ ᛋᛁᚾᛅ ᛬ ᛋᛅ ᚼᛅᚱᛅᛚᛏᚱ (᛬) ᛁᛅᛋ ᛬ ᛋᚭᛦ ᛫ ᚢᛅᚾ ᛫ ᛏᛅᚾᛘᛅᚢᚱᚴ
When converted to latin characters, they look like this.
haraltr : kunukʀ : baþ : kaurua kubl : þausi : aft : kurm faþur sin auk aft : þąurui : muþur : sina : sa haraltr (:) ias : sąʀ * uan * tanmaurk
This is not Old Norse, or any language at all really. We need to apply our knowledge of the runes and the way they were written to get to Old Norse text. A first step would be, for example, to realize that voiceless and voiced consonants were not differentiated when written, so we need to apply some Old Norse language to these words and see what could be the words meant. After a while, you will get something like this, if you speak Old Norse:
haraldr kunugr bað kaurua kubl þausi aft gurm faður sin auk aft þąurui muður sina sa haraldr ias sąʀ uan danmaurk
This looks quite better, let’s continue! Now we look at names, that we might recognize. We know the stone was set by King Harald Bluetooth, whose parents were names Gorm and Þorvi, so we realize, that ᚢ can be u, but also o, as can ąu. ᚢ can also stand for w/v, (double u). So the text looks like this now:
haraldr kunugr bað kaurua kubl þausi aft gorm faður sin auk aft þorvi muður sina sa haraldr ias sąʀ uan danmaurk
After this, some hard Old Norse is needed: kunugr is konungr (n left out because of the g, which is articulated in the same position), kaurua is gørva, kubl is kumbl (m and b are articulated at the same position, the lips), sin is sinn (masculine form), muður is móðir, ias is es (vowels are rather randomly put in most inscriptions, as there was not uniform writing standard), saR is sér, uan is vann, danmaurk is danmǫrk. Auk is ok, since vowels are often weird in Old East Norse inscriptions. Also aft is aftr Adding lenghts, the full sentence is now:
Haraldr konungr bað gørva kumbl þausi aftr Gorm, faður sinn, ok aftr Þórvi móður sina. Sá Haraldr es sér vann Danmörk.
This means: King Haraldr bade to construct this memorial after (in honor of) Gorm, his father and Þórvi, his mother. (It was) this Haraldr, that had won Denmark for himself… (the sentencce continues on the other sides of the runestone.)
In conclusion, the runes were never (apart from one attempt in the middle ages to write laws down like that, but it didn’t catch on, see Codex Runicus) used in a traditional, literarical way, but were rather a way for some elite class of runemasters and local rulers to record stuff, mark ownership or use “magic”. Full disclaimer: I don’t go into everything and focus strongly on Scandinavia, since I didn’t want to write a full novel. If you’d like to know more in depth, please refrain from using popular, often wrong sources, especially on the internet, and instead look at books from the likes of Düwel: Web Archive: Rune Bibliography.
Runes today
When you look at runes in the modern age, many people attribute a lot of things besides their names to them, but let me be clear in this:
A whole lot of these interpretation are based on NOTHING but the writers imagination.
There are very few things we know for certain: We know the names of the runes from Old Norse and Old English rune poems from the late middle ages, which were written down in christian times, making these an uncertain source since runes had been out of use for a long while by then. From these names, we can reconstruct the names of the Elder Futhark, but we know nothing for certain in that period. We know that they most likely knew the names of the runes and used them seldom as placeholders for words, e.g. ᛟ as short for *othala, meaning estate, heritage, inheritance. Beyond that, we have no sources as to what runes were associated with. While the edda contains some references to runes, it is hard to attribute certain meanings to specific runes.
What does this mean for modern paganism? It means that most of what is “taught” about runes today is just flat out fantasy with no basis in tradition, with runes being treated like magic, while ignoring their historic background. While I don’t personally believe in magic, I don’t judge those that do. What I do mind is passing of some New Age interpretation of these runes off as some ancient wisdom, while those interpretations aren’t even 200 years old. If you see meaning in these symbols beyond what we know about them, if you feel they represent something bigger, I will not discourage you, I even think so myself, but please keep in mind, that this is your interpretation and not something based in what we know about the ancestors.
There is a lot of misinformation disguised as truth out there, and I highly encourage you to stick to scientific, modern sources when trying to learn about runes. I leave you with the pagan sounds of Sowulo and bid thee farewell, until next we meet. Verið blessuð. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLK0WNnzTY4

History of the World Episodes: 2-3-4
In the first episode that I watched, which was episode 2 the title was Age of Empire. By the title, we can predict that the video will be about the great empires throughtout history. Andrew began talking about Cyrus the Great of Persia who were known for his religious tolerance towards Jewish people.
Afterwards, he moved to India and dicussed about the prince of India who later became Buddha. Siddhartha Gautama left his palace in search of the meaning of life. Although the story of Buddha wasn’t anything relating to an “empire”, instead it introduces a alternative way of viewing life that went down in history.
Years to follow, Europe as well as Asia developed more of these “ways of vewing life”. In Athens, the people came up with the system with thw words “Demos” and “Cratos” which meant the rule of people, and what we all know it now, democracy. When Athenians went to war with Persia, it was democracy they were fighting for. Athians brought home victory and opened a new era for Athens.
Going back to China, a servant in the court of Duke Lu. He observed that respect and social order in China was failing and he thought to himself “Without respect, what’s there to distinguish men from beasts”. He later left the court and went out to the world, he taught on the way and gained many followers. He believed in honoring traditions, respectin one another as well as follow ancient rules of good behavior. His teachings were later written in the book called “The Analects”. Years after his death, Chinese emperors appreciated his philosophies and took root in China’s society.
In Europe, another great warrior rose to fame, Alexander the Great. He was the son of the Macedonian King. By the age of 20, he ruled Macedonia. Alexander expanded his territory and were constantly fascinated by the people he conquered. He brought in different customs within his court, Macedonian, Greeks as well as Persia. He fancies Persian customs, but his generals were outraged by his foreign habits. Throughout his empire, Greek was the main language.
Later came a man, named Socrates, a philosopher who changed our ways of thinkning. He taught his disciples to question everything in life. He stated that the unexamined life is not worth living. Socrates accused Athen’s government to be corrupted. City leaders find this old man a threat to their younger generations, and took in into custoday with the charge of corrupting the youth of Athens. After Socrates death, his ideas lived on and western societies were built on his principle of free expression.
Andrew alternated locations throughout history when he discused different significant events. This helped with contextualization.
In episode 3, Andrew discussed more about new religion rising from different parts of the world, as well as spiritual life. In 221 BC in China, QinShiHuangDi was a merciless king of the Qin family. He ruled China with brutality. He ruled all rival states and had the thirst to rule for eternity. Before his reign, people for deeply into Confucius. He went for another direction and ordered to bur Confucius’ teachings, (known as the Great Burining of the Books) scholars were also buried alive. He ordered a building of a mosoleum that he could rule even in his afterlife. It was to represent China. He named the country after his people, Qin, China.
A new emperor arose in the land of India, Ashoka. His name meant without sorrow. After he battled the Mauryan army, he felt remorsed and regret , from then on he abolished violence and embraced Buddhism. By that, he extablished schools and hospitals for his people. There were carvings of his laws on stone and it was seen as the first declaration of human rights.
In the land of Egypt, a women who present herself as a livng goddess Cleopatra was the queen of the Nile. She placed her country’s fate in Julius Caesar’s hand, they sealed alliances. Afterwards, Caesar planned to move Rome’s capital to Alexandria, his senates were outraged and murdered him.
During this time, Islam and Christianity began to go against each other. A Jewish merchant who were respected by the Romans set out to round up Christians. On his way lightning struck him and he herad Jesus telling him to stop prosecuting Christians. He woke up in Damascus and became a new person, Paul. From then on, everywhere he went he established new Christian communities, telling people that God is hear to save us all. The new faith was a threat to kings of Rome and the entertainment of executing Christianity began. The prosecution of Perpetua, a Christian woman illustrated the power of faith. To suffer greatly is to win great honor, the promise of heaven attracted many converts in Rome. By the time Constantine reigned, he converted into Christianity and the faith became one of the foundations of the Western world.
In the vast Arabian desert Africa slaves of Ehtiopia followed the faith called Islam. It was taught that lives were upon god and not leaders. This challenged the authorities. The prophet and his followers grew more and more defiant and eventually were drove out of Mecca. Islam forbade leaders to go to war against each other, instead they were to dedicate themselves to a sacred struggle, jihad. Islam spreaded faster than any other religion.
This episode’s main theme was spiritual life and religions. New faiths and what peopl believe causes war and this continued.
In episode 4, this was like the period of expansion. Many new people were involved as well as many breakthroughs in technology and sciences. After the fall of the Roman empire, Europe entered in what is called “The Dark Ages”. But then the Vikings appeared. They took over Kiev. Kiev was a central location for trading, ever since the Vkings took over, they prosper but they aim at one place, Constantinople. Constantinople was the wealthiest city in Euroep and the Vikings were eager to take it. Viking’s leader chose diplomacy instead of violence to deal with Constantinople. They made a trade agreement and Kiev grew rich. The Orthodox Christianity was Kiev’s main religion. Named the country Russia after their people, the Rouse.
During the 9th century, Islamic scholars had been creating tools and examining the earth. They’ve tried to create a map of world as well as measuring the Earth’s circumference.
In the 12th century, a warrior arose and went down into history. He came from the steppes of Mongolia, named himself Genghis Khan after uniting all of Mongolian tribes. Genghis took over China, he looted but what he valued most was it’s technologies. Genghis adopted weapons from Chinese. Genghi’s legacy was the reopening of the Silk Road and bringing Mongolia into a time of peace and prosper, Pax Mongolica.
However, they were still unknown to Europeans. Marco Polo, grew up in a family of merchants, Venice valued Chinese goods. Himself along with his father and uncle travelled to China into the court of Khublai Khan. Marco was treated well by Khublai, he was allowed to freely travel. By his travels, he was astonished by what he witnessed (burning a black stone for fuel, money made of paper). When he arrived back at Venice, the city was at war with Genoa, Marco was imprisoned. His cellmate was a writer, he helped Marco wrte down his journey to Khublai’s court.
In Egypt, came a generous king, Masa Musa. He was the richest man alive. He arrived in Cairo and gave out free gold to everyone. His legacy was from his wisdom of Islam. He built great mosques throughout his empire.
The constant war of Islam and Christianity led to the fall of Constantinople by the Ottomans.
In 1495, Europe entered the period of Renaissance, where new ideas and arts emerged.

Artist research
These are artists that I had chosen at the begining of the project, if I had gone another route with my project there would have been more of these types of artists in my work.
Dimitra Millan
I love all of these pieces as whole finished canvases. I love how abstract the backgrounds are and how all the focal point is in the people and the objects in the main front of the piece, it is where your eyes are drawn to. My eyes are drawn to the colours, how bright they are, the way the colours are put together and what they are next to. In the first 2 pictures I love how vibrant the orange and the yellow is and how bright it is against the darker blacks next to it, the colours don’t get muddy because of the bright yellow. I love that both of the pieces use purple in the background. The second picture has more of a lighter greyer colour to the purple and the first picture uses a more pinker purple, and in this piece she uses a brighter more recognisable purple across the neck of the lady in the middle of the canvas. On the first image I love the way the artist has done the trees, as she has used a splattered effect with the yellow, it creates texture and layers up the paint. Whereas on the second picture the splatter looks more like dots and more delicately placed. On the 3rd picture more of the background was shown, this is where most of the colours come out and they really create the depth for the piece as they blend from really dark to the really light blues and the red I like the peach colour that is throughout the piece. The 4th picture the background is more of that one light pink shade and the colours come out in the body portion of the piece this allows the body area to stand out against the light background. The last picture has a very light coffee coloured background and the contrast was in the people and in the way she had decided to put scenes on the mans hair and body and the womans neck with the colours and the contrasts between the colours in the scenes and the colours against the background.
Dimitra Milan’s paintings can be found in private collection across U.S.A, Europe and Asia. Milans’ parents are established artists. Dimitra has been developing her style and ability from a young age, she studied at the Miliana Art Institute in Arizona, this is founded by her parents. She is now an instructor and the co owner of Milan Art Institute. Her paintings can be described as abstract realism with romantic elements to create a dreamy atmosphere where anything is possible. Dimitra artwork envokes deep emotion and is layered with symbolism, she uses love, hope, beauty and a sense of authenticity through her brush strokes.
Dimitra finds inspiration from her dreams at night. She also believes in a saying from Van Gogh, he once said “I paint my dreams, and I dream my painings”
Quotes from Dimitra Milan
“I’m inspired to paint beauty, and to bring more beauty into this world. The world desperately needs more light and truth. I hope my art inspires people to follow their own dreams and pursue their passions. I want my art to touch a deep place in people, and bring them into a higher mindset.”
Peter Terrin or @Terrinart on tumblr
I love the way he uses explosive and dramatic vibrancy. The first picture is of the paintings hanging on the wall inside a gallery. With the lights from the gallery it really makes the colours in the piece pop, especially the whites and the lightest pinks. The darker colours create the shading on the cheek and in the hair and on that one eyebrow. I like on the canvas on the left as it has a abstract background, that reminded me of a grafiti wall background. I like how the piece on the right is further back in the picture but you can still tell it is a face and that it is directly proportional. The second picture is very colourful I am sure it uses every colour in the colour pallet. However it isn’t totally a colour bomb the way he has position the colours, with the green on the one side and then the blues on the other side. I believe the blue side has the most vibrancy between the bright blues and the orange, then all the colours with the dark black of the under beak and the neck. On the green side, the lighter lime green blends into the blues really nice. But the light green would blend in to the yellow of the beak if not for the white at the very edge to contrast it. The really darker colours come in to the sides of the lady’s face and then the bright blue of her irises and the bright white of her eyes really makes your eyes focus on that. The way that the artist uses pinks and oranges to create shading in the face is an amazing skill. The 3rd image is the only image that I picked that was the only square one I chose. I really love how the artist uses the lyrics to Your song by Elton John, in the top right corner of this piece to break up the background from being too pink. You really get contrast between the bright vibrant pink and the hair and the shading in her face. The whiteness of the headphones is what my eyes are drawn to first. I love how he uses blues in the face and neck to give it an abstract look throughtout. The blues creates contrasts and helps separate the face from the background, as there is shades pinks in both. The white on the side of the face and the lighter pinks in the background come together. The 4th picture the canvases have a similar backgrounds with the blues and the greens anf the slight pinks. I like the canvas in the left more as it has more darker pinks in the bottom on the piece, I like the way that the face is positioned in this piece with the hands give this piece depth and I believe that the piece on the left looks better than the piece on the right, it just looks more dynamic and it has more of a realistic look to it. The 5th picture is very dynamic as it is just black and white, with greys to blend the two together. It stands out as most of his work is colourful and this one is very striking.
Peter Terrin was born in Belgium on the 13/03/1974.
The concept of art has always been a part of Peter. There was never a defining moment in which art came in and changed his life and no one pushed him in to that direction. It was a very self directed move that determined the course of his life. He has always said “that need to paint has always been as vital as breathing and eating; providing necessary fuel for the mind and soul”.
His passion for creating his work with the subject of people was reinforced through years of travel after graduating from Textile Design School in Belgium. Peter uses his unique style and brushstrokes, also the way he applies the paint to the canvas to capture emotion, mood and feeling through his use of pallet knives and acrylic paint on large scale canvases allows for him to really get the detail in to the faces.
Peter has a very disciplined approach to his art and his practice. He believes it the the same dedication needed for his other passion as a triathlete and his core belief that life is beautiful, he believes that all of these things need the same amount of paitince and time.

Whether you are planning to open a new business, improve your personal life, skills, or getting ready for a high school reunion, it is ALWAYS a good idea to write everything down on paper. I personally have very high hopes for 2018 and want to share them with you. Hopefully, you will find this article helpful and take away at least a couple of ideas that you apply in your own life 🙂
I have a new planning system lined up for 2018! As you can see in the picture above, there are three traveler notebooks – the black Startbay Navigator cover along with the canary Hobonichi are a brand new addition to my bullet journal family, and I cannot wait to show you what is inside of them!
Let’s start with the black Navigator. This one currently has two notebooks inside – Rhodia Dotbook and Leuchtturm1917 in black colour and dotted grid.
Leuchtturm this year is strictly for planning only and I have counted the pages, so it fits all 12 months. The very first pages in this notebook are based on Your Best Year 2018 written by Lisa Jacobs. I wanted to try Lisa’s book ever since I discovered her in 2016, but did not feel ready for it. Well, this year is it! It took me a looong time to figure out what I want to do and where my life is heading. In 2017, everything finally started to make sense and I found myself doing what I truly love and enjoy – inspiring YOU and creating things I never imagined were possible!
Leuchtturm1917 front
2018 intro spread
2018 Vision
The very first intro spread is decorated with a motivational sticker from our BTS Joy on paper shop, the background is blended together with distress inks and ‘What if, this year, you didn’t hold back?’ quote is from Lisa’s book.
2018 VISION (calendar from our shop) is based on 2018 goals. There is a series of helpful questions you want to answer for yourself:
What will I do for my future when I achieve this goal? What ridiculously extravagant gift will I reward myself if I achieve this vision? What will be better about my life then that I feel might be lacking now? After I’ve achieved this, what’s the next goal I’ll set to improve my life and business?
Annual goals
2018 focus
It is very important to have a clear vision of what you want to do with your life every day. Annual goals and pages will definitely help to keep you stay motivated throughout the year!
Like I said before, this is based on Your Best Year book and I am using these five areas of focus in 2018 to see how it works out. Rather than trying to implement all kinds of different books/workbooks within my planning system, I am focusing on this one book only. Of course, I am going to twist it a bit to fit my style and knowledge, but at the moment, this is what it looks like.
5 AREAS OF FOCUS
MENTAL – study 1hr a day, spend time with like-minded people, do my thing, create a workbook & online course
SPIRITUAL – spin my chakras 3x a week (yoga), daily meditation (centre myself), creative hour 2x a week, spa day quarterly, KonMari my home
PHYSICAL – walk 5x a week, meal prep routine, regular skincare & hair appointments
FINANCIAL – become debt-free, house deposit in cash, social media management, business 10K revenue
RELATIONAL – more time with family, mum’s 50th birthday, intimate life & fertility test, regular date night/day out, permanent address
Leading board
Best year plan
In 6 months
“COMMITMENT is doing the thing you said you were going to do long after the mood you said it in has left you.” – Darren Hardy
This page is my WHY. We talked about how having a reason is important in our 2017 planning series and it is precisely what I go by the entire year even when my days are not the brightest. This page could literally save your life, take a very good care of it. On the opposite page, you can see my 2018 leading board that will guide me throughtout the year. The key is below the line.
Best year 2018 plan is mapped out across these two pages and I love the look of it! Right in the middle, I have a couple of main goals that spread out into two areas – growth and profit. In each area, there are things I want to achieve in 2018 and those are then broken down into tactical tasks. This is very strategic and suits me well 🙂
Let’s proceed to:
In 6 months
MY RELATIONSHIPS ARE… improved! We spend more time together feeling more relaxed and happy. There are no doubts and our relationship is thriving – we fall in love with each other harder than we ever did. Our boys get more attention and feel happier. We can travel together and take more time off.
I AM… joyful! Alive and succeeding! I love my job, my Community, I am seizing opportunities, completing my goals, launching the workbook and online course, creating more and have a friend to have a cuppa with! I am a better person with confidence and I radiate happiness & health. People are attracted to me even more 🙂
MY HOME IS… under an offer waiting for us to move in! I cannot wait to have my own big bright office with a fireplace and a large window seat! The house is spacious and bright, has a master fireplace in the living room with French door. I have an outdoor heated summerhouse for yoga & exercise, and we have a heated pool too! I love swimming! The garden is large with a pond and closure for Wallabies. I am painting and decorating the house to our liking. Our master bedroom has a very large bed with voiles, ottoman/small sofa and a fireplace. There are also French doors leading to a balcony overlooking mountains. We are in love and we have the house!
MY FINANCES… in six months, I will be able to pay off 80% of our debts at least and celebrate my 31st birthday in style. We have enough to buy our own house in Scotland and we can visit my mum to celebrate her 50th birthday. My business earns enough, and I continue to invest in its growth! It keeps on growing 🙂
MY EXTENDED FAMILY AND FRIENDS… we finally found a couple to enjoy a dinner with and have a healthy, honest relationship. My mum respects my family and nurture our bond. I can trust my friends and feel secure. They help us grow and we support each other.
On the opposite page of this 6-month vision are a few areas to help you keep focused:
Actions I need to take – be responsible
Who do I need to become – what kind of person you would love to be
Stop doing and do instead – replace bad habits with good ones
Next level – things to do by a certain date/time period to get to the next level
Weekly task list
First quarter
3-month income
Weekly personal & business task list comes with a key to mark the tasks to – mine to continue, delegate, already delegated.
First quarter of the year is basically a rapid log where you jot down everything you want to achieve within the next three months. Then you take some of these things and put them in relevant category – finish, do, celebrate, study and start.
3-month income is a part of my 2018 budgeting and I wanted to have it along with the first quarter goals 🙂 Every month, you set a financial goal, write down where the money comes from and then add your total at the end of the month. And of course, once these three months are completed, you count the monthly totals and write down your quarterly income. Easy!
January setup starts right behind these planning pages.
Now, let’s have a look at our second notebook, Rhodia dotbook where I keep all of my yearly collections!

Most of these collections are pretty straight forward but I will break down a few for you 😉
365 Photo Challenge – take a photo every single day! A little tip – create a separate folder for this challenge in your phone and make this an every day habit on your tracker.
100 things to do in 1000 days – a project that I share with you earlier in 2017 and you can read more about it here.
Holidays & Birthdays – the idea is to map out all of the National/International holidays that are of your interest and put birthdays in the circle. Everything will be coloured in and shared on Instagram once finished!
2018 happenings – I like to use this calendar for logging my period (simply colour the dates with a colouring pencil/highlighter) and writing down things/events that happened throughout the year
A year long Body Shape – an exercise tracker for the entire year of 2018! On 1st of January, I will log my weight, arm/chest/waist/hips/thigh measurements and colour code my exercise. The numbers 1-52 are the numbers of individual weeks – at the end of each week, you write down how your exercise went, how you feel about your eating habits etc.
Savings trackers – the balloons are for a 52-week savings challenge – each week you save one balloon of your choice, anything your budget allows you to push! PYO is for Pick Your Own fruit – we always go to a ‘local’ (well over 50mi away) farm to pick our own fruit that we then freeze and use in food the entire year. And Christmas. The latter two are very simple and I take £5 off every week of our weekly grocery shopping budget – this way, you have extra £130 to spend on anything you need to pay for.
Orders aka To arrive – keep a track of your orders/incoming packages with this simple log! What’s on here – from, item, date initiated, expected by.
Community Notebook – this is a wonderful project that we do with our Between the steps Community group members. In this notebook, each of us creates a spread and then post the notebook to another member. As of today, the Community Notebook has made his first round around Europe and is currently being prepared to take off and travel around USA! If you would like to take a part, come and join us here 😉
Useful & Shops – helpful information. Discounts and your favourite shops.
Between the stesp Community – this is a spread for us and I will be writing down ideas, your suggestions etc. on here. What we do is a list of current projects/activities.
Instagram schedule – this is a monthly spread for scheduling posts on Instagram as I want to give it some form and order 🙂 It would also make a lovely monthly calendar!
I currently have two notebooks in my old brown Navigator – Moleskine cahier for keeping notes from podcasts and Rhodia Rhodiarama in chocolate colour for journaling that I keep separately in 2018.

I have used our new Between the steps challenge as a January welcome page in my journal 🙂
And last but not least – my new Hobonichi!!!! This is SO cute, I almost died when it arrived!!! It may seem silly to be THIS excited about stationery, but that is just who I am and I LOVE this stuff!! The quality of Hobonichi paper is unbelievable – it is very thin yet fountain pen friendly. Just look at the pen test page – yes, you can see it through, but it doesn’t bleed through at all! I have to admit that this impressed me a lot.
