keep seeing this discourse train that goes

“noo! you guys are wrong! he is actually bad guy” (semi affectionate. i think. from bad times (tm) enjoyers. kindred spirits!)

followed by just constant harping on reasons said person is bad and why everyone else is wrong. completely fixated on “everyone else who thinks this is fluffy is wrong!!!!”

and like… i agree! i agree that people are wrong when they go “teehee fluffy! my perfect babies!”, I think the character in question is probably a piece of shit. (heart eyes emoji)

I love a piece of shit! but there’s this crowd (A) that’s obsessed with morality and their faves being mortally pure (can’t relate!) and another crowd (B) that’s obsessed with their favs being scummy (far more relatable) but also, B is the one driving me insane! Stop complaining about what other fans are saying for five minutes and maybe just, idk, enjoy the thing! block who you have to, and just move on with your day!

complaining all the time about the fluffy folk can be tempting! but after a certain point, you’re just making yourself upset! block the people who are Like That, filter comments if necessary (very easy to do by default on bsky with new posts!) and move on with your day!

if you are on the internet playing silly fandom games, you cannot afford to keep looking at and seeking out things that will make you angry. block, move on, and live your life.
