I see another person say some stupid shit like "omg Minecraft 2! He's going to blow up mojang like a boss!!" I'm going to crash out.
You mf's genuinely sound like Elon supporters.
Mf's glazing notch as if he isn't a grade A incel.
#is how mojang handles the game good? no#is notch going to magically make minrcraft but better? absolutely fucking not#he is such an openly hateful arsehole and if you support him genuinely go fuck yourself#the only reason hes saying this is because hes fallen into obscurity and no one cares for his bigotted rhetoric#Minecraft 2 is incredibly unlikely to happen under notch and if it magically does i doubt its going to be good#i understand the desire for a version of Minecraft closer in image to the earlier builds but you're going to have to accept it aint happenin

What must it be like to be on a server with Doc? Every time he posts in the Hermitcraft Discord server must be absolutely insane.
Is anyone available to help me kill 3 wardens that got loose on the nether roof? Sorry actually it might be more like 20
Hey if it's not too much trouble, could no one log on for the next 30 minutes? I'm trying to transport an ender dragon I pulled into the overworld and loading chunks could mess it up
Anyone want to play a children's card game? I outsourced my deck building to a think tank made of hundreds of people and I want to absolutely destroy someone in a match
Does someone know a good rap artist to collab with? I want to make an anthem for the nation I founded in my massive hole of a base and Snoop Dog never got back to me
So we're not having a team meeting, just an informal brainstorming session? Cool, can I invite Christopher Paolini? Yeah the guy who wrote the Eragon books
If you see any ghasts flying over spawn town, I released like 30 of them as a prank. There should be like 2 left so don't kill them, they're an endangered species
I left that shulker at spawn FOR A REASON. Whoever took it, YOU KNOW WHAT I'M CAPABLE OF. RETURN IT OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES
Just a heads up guys, I'm inviting some Mojang devs on to the server so I can show them the cannon I made that can shoot an arrow through 3000 solid blocks in one tick and immediately destroys a full set of netherite armor
Grian was annoying me so I built a cannon that shoots charged creepers at his base with startling accuracy. Then he used it for his own gain so I build a goat mech that poops explosives to guard my base. What do you mean that's not how normal people handle disputes? He's clearly the unhinged one!
Be careful going into my base, I have a pet warden at the bottom of the perimeter. No, a PET. Yes it's there on purpose, his name is King
No one touch the chunk loader at spawn, I'm using it to transport items thousands of blocks instantly. No, of course it's not an intended feature but I still managed to pull it off in vanilla, didn't I?
How did the world eater go? Well I needed to use 3 minecraft accounts so it would run properly and at one point it was disrupted by solar flares, which I think might have been God trying to strike me down for my hubris. But other than that, yeah it went well!
Please note that these examples are ONLY FROM SEASON 9

i think another huge factor in the evolution of mincraft over time is that minecraft was kinda one of the first big-name games that "updated" over time? & during its lifespan, "live-service" games have become more of a thing; historically, updates were more, yknow, update focused. Not just "new content" for new content sake, but also rounding things out a lot more, filling out the game rather than just adding new ingredient after new ingredient after new ingredient after new ingredient ad infinitum. Which isn't to say Mojang is stuck in this- 1.20.5 was IMO the biggest update Since 1.13's Flattening, basically accomplishing the same thing with Item NBT -> Item Components. Rather, a lot of the time I think Mojang gets stuck in this expectation that they need to release eye-catching tiktok-marketable New ! New ! New ! features rather than really getting in deep with the inner workings of the game itself; this is why everyone remembers "new ocean biomes!" for 1.13, but most folks don't even know what The Flattening is. It's hard to make a less-than-5-minute youtube video showcasing "hey yeah we completely overhauled the internal handling systems for ID slots from integer to string values in such a way that we now have a namespacing system that allows for new content to be added Forever rather than having to worry about reaching the integer limit". Minecraft changed how games "as a service" happened, and then was changed By the concept of games "as a service" in turn. Hopefully they manage to actually pull it back eventually, & I think the new "drops" system is a really good way to do that, especially if they keep major technical overhauls limited to proper Updates.

grahh i really need to ramble about my feelings on minecrafts double directions listen ill just say. minecraft hasnt been a game with coherent direction ever since 1.0 trying to be an rpg, but trying to remain faithful to sandbox, but not. and now theres SUCH a big like. struggle ... between "oh we want to preserve that minecraft spirit" preventing them from moving forward and... them just , completely moving forward a LOT with certain things?? and its just. the game is so ... half of it feels designed completely differently. and that is TRUE but like it really needs to just commit to one direction and clean things up
even ignoring the direction of "how much of a sandbox should survival mode be, vs how sandboxy. and like, how intrinsic or extrinsic. we have funny lil sidequests designed for the player now!" theres also just, the identity of how... Cleanly designed the game is, yet old stuff is so unclean and... i mean, i find the jank endearing! but what i dont find endearing is when theres 2 types of game in my game !! they were doing pretty well at evolving the game while staying faithful in like, mob animations imo. but then they decided they want them to be more lively, and not to be limited. okay, thats pushing it forward. except. old mobs still look clunky and then theres all the design revolving item loss and enchanting and ... i dont think i can say survival mode has ever had a cohesive identity in the vanilla game. lets be real the best times playing minecraft are when you're """cheating""" or in creative mode or playing minigames or modpacks with friends the game can be good but it needs a rolling pin to... put the game down to a single standard of. something!! honestly it almost feels like more of a chaotic mess than terraria in some ways. i guess terraria is chaotic and careless in what it does in the good way, but minecraft ... doesnt have the liberty in carelessness being cool, because even the foundation has always been rocky and its never really been gone back to, aside from thankgod for 1.18 with worldgen i dont hate mojang and i certainly dont think they're lazy. if you know me then you know that. i know the game shouldnt appeal to ME SPECIFICALLY and ... i know mojang doesnt do things i think the game needs a lot because of 1) fear 2) management / relevance 3) priorities
i just... bwaah, i think theres so much nuance to the Situation and Context that minecraft is in... like, agh ill make a more coherent post with more points sometime. but ill just say i certainly dont hate the game, i just wish it felt more coherent
theres some points i was gonna make but i forgot bc im rushing this post. cus i need to SLEEP !! but i think i have some rough things written down about... my thoughts on mojangs Processes and handling of minecraft anyways play raspberry flavoured <3 good modpack

companions start a minecraft server. how do they play? who lives with who? who starts a war over their dog dying?
Companions play Minecraft
Cait; hardcore mode speedrunner who looks for increasingly difficult and mindfuck ways to kill the Elder Dragon. Why? Success is a kind of high you'll get from nothing else. Especially when you kill the final boss with nothing but eggs and slime pistons. When playing on Hancock's server, functions as a bodyguard during less-safe builds, like underground, or at the edge of the forest. The first line of defense during a raid. Does busywork for Codsworth in exchange for throwing eggs. Piper built a traditional Irish pub for her to live in and you can occasionally see her just staring at it in wonder. Is the one with the pack of wolves. The town graveyard is filled with her fallen pups. Also has a parrot, just to watch it dance to the pub's jukebox.
Codsworth; Does the busywork around the town Hancock and the others have built. Town is probably called Goodneighbor, let's be real. Tends the farms, the animals, makes food, etc. Does a little bit of everything. Takes care of Curie's zoo, goes fishing with Danse, gives opinions on building materials...pure chilling. Refuses to slaughter farm animals for meat, he's too attached. Fish, bread, and vegetables are on the menu in Goodneighbor. Lives in a quaint little birch cottage by the river, where he keeps flowers, bees, and chickens. All of them have nametags. Second line of defense during a raid—touch his potato fields, and enjoy eggs for your last meal.
Curie; Spends all of her time following and studying the more fantastical creatures, like Endermen. Keeps real notes in a notebook as she plays, theorizing on their biology. Endlessly fascinated with the convergent evolution between Villagers and Pillagers. Will often join Preston's archeology expeditions to discover the lore hints in the environment. Dies a lot, usually has nothing but seeds and dirt in her inventory. Keeps an area filled with specimens in appropriate pens. Puts bounties out for new creatures. Favors the axolotls and fish, though. Lives in the second floor of the zoo's visitor center.
Danse; Minecraft has a powerful aura of sad nostalgia, and I don't think he could handle it. Will help out in Goodneighbor by going and getting materials for building. Enjoys fishing more than anything, though. Gets very attached to his orange cat that sits on his bed. His dirt hut is on the outskirts of Goodneighbor, but is covered in flowers, paintings, and whatever else decor the others have put up. Nick dyed his cat's collar pink. Accompanies X6 on Curie's specimen bounties. Will sometimes stop moving. Don't worry, he's just enraptured by the music and is enjoying it. Or is being made very sad by it. Same thing, right?
Deacon; Pays money to change his username to look like someone else's every week. Changes to their skin, too, but edited to have sunglasses. Otherwise, Herobrine wannabe. If you don't know what that is, you are too young to be reading this blog. Deacon will make small, uniform tunnels, fill them with oddities like bone and paper. He'll leave structures reminiscent of crosses. He'll use armor stands and elaborate Redstone mechanisms, make it look like someone's watching you from the trees, only for you to step on a hidden pressure plate, and the figure vanishes. Adds to the lore of the world. Has a rainbow wool house filled with so many rabbits, the game crashes when he approaches.
Gage; You think Gage is playing a kids game? He has shit to do. Like pirate it and sell copies for dirt cheap. Not even to make money, he just does it for the principle. The principle of fuck you, I will make as many copies of this shit as I damn well please. Probably has his face hung up in Mojang HQ, with darts stuck in the one good eye. Would play if he could join the side of the Pillagers. Yeah, sure. He could just set villages on fire himself...but where's the community in that?
Hancock; Owns the server. Keeps it on harder difficulties for the challenge, but not so much of a...whatever you call Cait's type of player. Avid builder, Goodneighbor is a massive project recreating Boston. It's not quite 1 to 1, but still damn impressive. But, hey, if Bobby wants to build places from Grognak, that's chill. Doesn't care about aesthetic or accuracy, just wants to relax and let the creative juices flow. Hancock himself lives in a giant mushroom he made out of mushroom blocks, wool, and mycelium. Pet of choice? Mushroom cow, obviously, courtesy of X6.
MacCready; Got sick for a week. Built the entire Ux-Ron galaxy on the other side of the river. Doesn't remember it, was hopped up on Nyquil and chicken broth in hot water. The resident hunter, when he isn't on a grape-chicken-liquid diet. He's good at building, but can get bored quickly. Aim is...frightening. Can kill a chicken across any gulf. Takes the nightshift guard duty to shoot down Phantoms. His house is a crashed UFO. Even got Deacon to do his redstone trickery, so it lights up all blinky when you trigger a plate at the door. Has a parrot for a pet.
Nick; One of the more adventurous ones. Goes off with Preston, X6, and Cait to explore the different biomes. The resident potion master. It's just a puzzlegame, but for cocktails that can make you jump real high. Keeps a garden with various ingredients, often ventures into the Nether for blaze powder and rods. Has a spawner caged up, so he just smacks them through the door. Writes down all potion or poison recipes in an in-game book and quill. The trial-and-error- failed recipes are also listed, so it's 200+ pages long. His potion hut is built like a speakeasy, and he lives in the basement with a black cat. Would fill the place with ravens, if they weren't in the spin-off game. Third line of defense in town—keeps a chest full of splash poisons. Occasionally opens it and stares at them, like he's not sure if he's willing to commit such an act.
Piper; Obsessed with the underwater update. Always diving for treasure and sunken ships and temples. Keeps all of the knickknacks in a chest back at Goodneighbor, not even for use. Piper isn't even an ocean kinda gal in real life, but...it's so pretty! And the dolphins are so cute! Trades resources for water-breathing potions from Nick. Fills out so many maps, keeps them framed on a massive wall on the Goodneighbor docks. Also keeps a book-and-quill with coordinates and traveling notes, it's longer than Nick's recipe book. Lives in an underwater bubble habitat off the coast of Goodneighbor. Keeps a pink dolphin in a massive glass habitat outside.
Preston; Resident archeologist. Excavates ruins and structures to study them. Spent a month in real life sponging up an underwater temple. Even longer digging out an End fortress. Goes into mineshafts and renovates them entirely, puts signs and maps up. Takes X6 most often on his expeditions, has his own wall of land-maps. Preston spends a lot of time studying the builds left in the world and pondering the historical implications. Real theorist over here. He's fascinated with the subtle story telling and clues. The End keeps him up at night. His house is the huge community library. Also keeps books, writes down his notes and theories. Has a llama for traveling. If anything happened to it, would be very distraught.
X6-88; Resident mercenary. Nick accidentally summoned the Wither? There's a baby zombie running around? Deacon's rabbits have broken out the windows, and the server is in legitimate danger if the horde grows any larger? Get X6-88. Appears with a clap of thunder on his black warhorse, wielding only the most enchanted of weapons, wearing the most enchanted of armor. He does all the hard, dangerous work. Clears out the Nether, the End, Dark Forests, Pillager encampments...X6 is the hard hitter that goes out into danger, whereas Cait stays behind to defend. Is the one who leashes animals and painstakingly brings them back to Goodneighbor, occasionally with Danse's help. He lost his mind, looking for pandas for Curie. Keeps one as a pet in his house, which is the castle in the graveyard.

What I Don't Like About Minecraft's Modern Music Part 2 - The Caves and Cliffs Update
[ <- Previous Post ]
i'm back with my post series analyzing minecraft's non-C418 music and all the ways i personally think some of it isn't handled very well - a series that is simultaneously far more negative and far more positive than it really should be.
speaking of things that should be, you should read the previous post (linked at the top of this one). it'll give you some context you might need, such as explaining the four sections each of these posts will have. such as section one:
The Music Itself
i will be refraining from talking about ancestry since it was not implemented until the wild update. with that being said, my thoughts on the caves and cliffs soundtrack:
you may be surprised to learn this, but i actually kind of like it!
i complained about the caves and cliffs soundtrack back when the update first came out, claiming that it kinda clashed with the classic soundtrack (volumes alpha and beta) in a way that the update aquatic music didn't, but over the years, it's kinda grown on me.
but maybe that's just because everything after it has been Significantly worse in this regard.
the caves and cliffs soundtrack definitely... doesn't sound a whole lot like volume alpha. tonally and stylistically, it's very different, emphasizing the grandness and wonder of the new terrain generation, with instruments that somehow feel a lot more naturalistic despite not actually being that much less synthy.
it's in a noticeably different style, but it's actually done a deceptively better job at merging itself with the existing soundtrack than most people give it credit for. every track has a proper fade-in and -out (except for wending for some reason). most of them sound distinct enough to not feel redundant while not being so different as to be inconsistent with each other. it's even the first (non-minigame) minecraft album to feature two different artists, but they're so in-sync that you can't even really tell who's who unless you're really paying attention.
i've said this before and i'll say it again, but this soundtrack could've been pretty good if mojang just made it play in the correct contexts. imagine mining into a lush cave and having that be your introduction to 'left to bloom'. but unfortunately, that's apparently just too much to fucking ask.
How it’s Used In-Game
let's start with the things i like about the update's music implementation before moving onto the stuff that's a little more questionable.
the nether update made each of the nether's music-playing biomes play one track specific to that biome (chrysopoeia for crimson forests, rubedo for nether wastes, so below for soul sand valleys and basalt deltas) and all four general nether tracks that C418 had already made for volume beta. the caves and cliffs update added eight new ambient tracks (aka, not music discs) and eight new biomes, so it'd look like they'd just assign one new track to each biome and have it play alongside all twelve tracks from volume alpha, but what they actually did, in my opinion, was ultimately the better choice.
basically, unlike the nether, the caves and cliffs biomes each play an assortment of volume alpha tracks and an assortment of caves and cliffs tracks. since volume alpha is specifically written to work regardless of context, which tracks play in any given biome can feel a little arbitrary, but, having multiple caves and cliffs tracks play in a biome just makes the biome feel more cohesive.
that was the good part. that was the competent part, even. (pretend it has not been four months since i wrote it btw). now it's time for the bad part.
remember how i said that the music could've been okay-ish if it played in the correct contexts? well, while mojang did make caves and cliffs music play in the caves and on the cliffs, you wanna know where else they made the music play?
Literally. Everywhere. Else. (in the overworld).
in version 1.18.0; one more day, floating dream, comforting memories, and left to bloom all played in literally every overworld biome that was not introduced in the caves and cliffs update, including deserts and snowy biomes!
while deserts have since been changed, snowy biomes are all still like this in 1.21.51!
this is also when mojang started making each major update's music play on the title screen, though this wasn't super apparent until the wild update; it kinda just seemed like lena's caves and cliffs soundtrack was tacked onto the title screen for no reason.
i mean, infinite amethyst would definitely work a lot better as title screen music than as ambient biome music. but unfortunately, it's not used on the title screen anymore.
How it's Broken on Bedrock Edition
if you thought the bedrock team handled the nether update music poorly (which you'd be correct in thinking, btw), you're not going to be ready for the caves and cliffs soundtrack... because it's somehow worse.
to reiterate, before the caves and cliffs update, bedrock edition played all of its overworld music at 10% to 30% volume, depending on the track.
when it comes to the new biomes, they did the thing they did with the nether update and just used java edition's volumes for everything, meaning that 'sweden' could play at either 20% or 100% volume depending on nothing but the biome.
but at least the music volumes with these biomes are internally consistent. the same cannot be said about all the old biomes.
instead of changing the existing music to java edition's volume, or changing the new music's volume to be consistent with the old music's, they just tacked on the new music at its java edition volume.
this means that in every single non-caves-and-cliffs biome, all of C418's tracks play at 10% to 30% volume, while the newer ones play at 40%!!! which would already be kinda inconsistent even if the files themselves were the same volume, but they aren't. the files for the caves and cliffs music are more than twice as loud!! that's why java edition even plays them at 40% volume to begin with (for context, java edition plays the entire classic soundtrack at 100% volume)!!!!!
And It's Still Like This!!!!!!!!!!
some of these tracks even have inconsistent volumes on java edition. overall, just a bad update for volume consistency.
How it Affect Cornbread's Music Fixer
while cornbread's music fixer didn't technically exist until shortly after the wild update, i'm gonna cover the caves and cliffs music now. because this is the caves and cliffs music post.
basically, in pack version 1.0.0, one of the major features of the pack was the removal of the caves and cliffs music from non-caves and cliffs biomes. this has since been reverted due to issues with the tricky trials music, but that's a whole different post.
in pack version 1.2.0, i finally noticed that overworld music was at a horrifically inconsistent volume and attempted to fix it, and in pack version 1.3.0, i actually made it not worse!
yeah, that's all i have to say on that.

I see this type of argument crop up in basically every setting you can immagine. While I dont necessarily disagree with your underlying statement, the mistake people tend to make is to complain about the hypocrisy. OF COURSE the fanbase of the literal best-selling game of all time is going to have contradictory opinions, with a large enough sample size you will get people with every opinion imaginable. The individuals that make up that mob are, on the whole, vastly more reasonable than the apparent opinions of the mob. Literally nothing good comes of shouting into the void about how people dont know what they want or dont understand the game because the person you disagree with doesnt exist. Save yourself the high blood pressure, take a break, enjoy what you enjoy about the game and let mojang handle the fanbase because they already know all of this and its literally their job to appease the mob.
i think it's kinda sad the way the minecraft community has ended up. it seems to consist mainly of hype and hatred these days. i saw an influential youtuber unironically say that mojang needs to overpromise so updates can make hype and have "cultural impact".
on the regular i see people hating the smaller updates (which usually contain big technical leaps) because they "didn't add enough". mind you, these are free updates, on a yearly schedule, which are very clearly limited by said time frame. you can't have both a giant update and a yearly schedule. developers are human too.
so, i must ask. why can't people just be content? we got cherry blossom trees. they're really pretty when you get the petals blowing in the wind! we got the sniffers, which regardless of your thoughts on the mob vote, are really cute! how much is "enough" for people?

I keep seeing folks complaining about Mojang choosing not to add very many mobs or new features in updates, saying “Well why do we have to choose one mob? Why can’t we get all three?” andI mean I do understand the want for as many new shiny things as possible.
But the one argument I haven’t been seeing against it is the biggest reason I’m glad they don’t add a million things at once.
Minecraft is a game that is going to grow and update more and more as time goes on. It hasn’t stopped for a decade straight and with the interest people still have for it, it’s gonna keep being updated for a long time. So what would happen if they added a ton in every single update?
Has anyone ever played with the Mo’ Creatures mod, or any of the mods that do the same thing but for plants? The world suddenly fills with another 60 animals and just as many plants. It’s cool! It’s insanely cool! But…it’s also incredibly overwhelming. It’s too much. It’s so many things going on at once, and for someone who has never played Minecraft before, it would be way too much to handle on day one.
So coming back to vanilla Minecraft - I like that they only add a few things at once per update. I like that they limit how many new mechanics we have to learn, or how many new mobs we meet, or how many new blocks we have to juggle in our inventory. (And I’m also hoping for an inventory update to keep up with those blocks, but that’s beside the point.) I like it, because if we added a ton of new things in every update, in a game that isn’t going to stop expanding, it would become too much too quickly - and I don’t want Minecraft to end up feeling like they tried to be too many things at once. I want it to feel thought out. I like that they put so much weight on making sure new blocks and creatures fit into the world they’ve created in a way that feels natural and makes sense. I like that they don’t just dump a bunch of new rushed content in our laps because we demanded it, say “hope that’s good, have fun!” and leave it at that.
When Minecraft expands, it’s always meticulous and well-thought-out, and I like it that way.
But what I WOULD like to see is an update or a mob vote where they choose to give us a chance to bring back a mob that didn’t win. I’d like the chance to see some of the old, abandoned mob ideas see the light of day again. That is something I’d root for any day of the week.

You know, as lackluster as 1.19 is, I think there's very good reason for it.
Mojang have been churning out some damn good updates since 1.13, and something to note is all of them have included some major rewrite of a part of the engine or game. 1.13 rewrote the water engine, as well as including the addition of datapacks and tags, reworking the entire item naming system, as well as all the shit they did with commands.
1.14 rewrote the entire villager profession system, villager UI and village generation became much more dynamic and rewriting part of the smelting system as well as adding to the crafting system. Not to mention, the whole raid system and how the two effects connected to it work.
1.15 was the biggest wall of technical changes I've seen in the game, including a large number of optimisations.
1.16 overhauled the entire nether, including adding entirely new trading mobs and fixing the neutrality system for mobs, as well as the whole new nether generation and biomes thing.
Then 1.17 and 1.18 (lumping these together) saw the entirely overhaul of the overworld biome and world generation, as well as changing structure generation and how they're all handled. This is honestly probably the most pain in the ass rewrite for the developers, the generation was entirely redone, as well as finally making use of the biomes per chunk that didn't extend infinitely up the y axis we saw added in 1.16 for use in the overworld.
1.19 does add an entirely new redstone subset though with skulk, so there is something pretty complicated and new added, at least. Sure it's lackluster, but we've gotten a lot of major code rewrites within recent years.
If anything? It's probably just burnout from the devs and needing to wind down with some smaller updates. Yea, they're hyping of 1.19 kinda was for nothing, but honestly they were probably just excited to be anything but rewriting the world generation system after caves and cliffs. I'm going to guess the next update or two after this are going to be in the same vein of being smaller updates, if not just the next update being in a similar direction of 1.15, given the fact they've been working tirelessly on likely fixing all the shit legacy code.
Granted, I could be wrong. Feel free to yell at me in the notes.

Im not saying if its good or bad im saying that i can understand WHY it is how it is.
If you can understand why something happens you can better understand how ur emotions and reactions will work.
For me, knowing why the mob vote actually happens has helped me to be less upset or disappointed about it because i can understand how it helps minecraft as both a game and mojang as a company.
This means that i've decided to lay off of posting or reblogging 'propaganda' posts for my own enjoyment of the event that is happening. I have also tried not to raise my own expectations of the mobs so i can prevent feeling "strife" when the ones i like don't get added (<- voted moobloom, copper golum, glare and rascal) and also i think that debate is actually good for the community as it creates hype. Just. Don't be mean about it
If i had decided that like you, i think that the votes are bad, then i could also do something about it. I could boycott the vote or the game itself. But because of the benifits the mob vote has (debatably not to the community but instead the company) i have decided not to do this.
I think that the mob vote could be handled better (such as giving fuller explainations of the mechanics and designs) however i can see why it isnt handled in this way (the mobs are still in the development process and its better to be vauge and add features than take it away)
I also believe that the mob vote doesn't affect that much in the game. The community, although slightly heated after a short amount kf time, repairs and has fun with the new mobs in the end, and that also strengthens community bonds by encouraging shared experience. Its more of a balance, i think.
"Mojang shouldnt make us fight every year!!!!" You guys KNOW that its a marketing stratagy, right?
Aside from the fact that game development is hard even in a massive company, the point isnt to add all 3 mobs. Its to get free advertising. And what free advertising is better than a bunch of overly passionate players screaming over pixels?
Divided community = more engagement = more posts = more players
The aim of the mob vote isn't to add all of them becauase that would be expensive and wouldn't bring in the new players since nobody would know about it, as well as the fact that advertising is also expensive. Theyre getting free advertisements. And this itself isnt. Bad? It's just how advertising (how a surprising amount of advertising) works.
Minecraft is confident enough that even if the community is disappointed at the loss of two mobs, that they won't stop playing. Ultimately it doesnt affect gameplay too muchfor players to completely drop the game.
The mob vote isn't actually about improving the game, it's about creating hype, good or bad. Why else would they release each mob on different days with full promotional videos?
#addon#minecraft#plus im just happy about any of the mobs#in all honesty i think this type of marketing is super interesting#becausw like it or not. us having this conversation is still contributing to it#do i think people should fight? no.#do i think people should debate? yes.#does it benifit the company mojang and the game to have these votes? ultimately yes#because otherwise they wouldnt do it#basically what im saying is. ur only as upset about it as u make urself. if someone is annoying block them. if you are mean thats bad.#u cant control ur emotions but u can make changes to how u interact with the vote to regulate this#anyway. make ur own decision but i promise it isnt as black or white as it seems#all advertising has costs and benifits#could mojang spending more on advertising result in a lower budget for game development and therefore worse updates?#who knows but thats for the individual to decide#ive decided yeah

Like in general, I think keeping the interactions with blocks and mobs simple is a GOOD idea. But I think the way that Mojang arbitrarily codified what the interactions looked like by deciding on a certain limit of what buttons the player pressed almost... pigeonholed them into ONLY thinking about how much mileage they could get out of those clicks instead of how maybe the player can interact with an entity... y'know, without directly clicking on them.
Like maybe... What you Build near and around them. In The Building Game.
I think Pigmen are the only current thing that gets somewhere close to this idea. But honestly, that's mostly just how trade is handled a little differently.
Still thinking about how alot of minecrafts game designs are painfully flawed largely on account of how the current design philosophies restrict any kind of depth while also making everything player-facing, which makes everything either a resource to try and get something out of or a nothing addition that doesn't do anything.
Like the idea that everything is based around a right or left click interaction while just waiting out in the wild... Ugh. Why does nothing interact.

What about other official discords? I know Minecraft and New horizons has one. How come they are better handling it than CR despite with possible more massive fan base?
Well I’m not 100% sure. But I have a feeling those discords being ran by official sources managed to have a plan and keep things organized from the start. They probably had a strict process for choosing moderators, or hired their own moderation team whose job it is to keep things in line. Multiple people combing multiple channels and being there to hear things out when things go wrong.
The thing is, Cookie Run Official Discord didn’t start like this.
It’s a well known fact that the Discord was started without anyone on the Devsis Team really fully understanding discord. Originally there were NO moderators at all, aside from these “test mods” that seemed to be floating around, and it was essentially like a wild west where Dev Sis kind of assumed they’d just, figure it out over time? There’s no clear cut rules, they’re constantly changing. There’s no consistent moderation. They are in and out. So that means there’s no communication, so when Moderators come in that DO promise and try to change things, they very quickly realize that they aren’t getting the help they need higher up the ladder and yet are somehow expected to just keep things in check with a vague and broken system that DevSis assumed could build itself. So often times those good mods leave in frustration, because like a bad job with poor communication you can only handle so much of that. In the end they bit off way more than they could ever hope to chew and... yet still kinda ignore/assume the issues will solve itself and they’ll just... figure it out later?
I know it’s not entirely Devsis and MicMac’s faults. But considering how MicMac responded kind of half-heartedly to CookieRunUpdate’s very blatant harassment by a past moderator... it gives off the impression that they don’t really care that their Discord is a shit show and would rather just ignore the issue until it “resolves itself”
Either because they don’t care/want money, or they don’t have the capacity to handle any of it.
That might not be their intent but that’s completely how they come off.
Edit: Additionally with Minecraft and New Horizons. THOSE companies, Mojang/Microsoft and Nintendo, is that they have a strong company base in the United States and Canada. And if something were to go wrong there they could very easily be sued there. So there’s a stronger pull for preventing things from happening to the best of their ability.
Litigation is always a threat when it comes to america as a continent, and even if it’s conjecture it’ll be a messy prospect to deal with any kind of lawsuit so they’d rather avoid it at all costs by properly staffing their forums with reliable moderators, having a system and rules clearly displayed, and taking proper courses of action legally to handle things as needed.
The thing with Cookie Run and DevSis? They’re based in South Korea. I don’t know Korean Laws! I’m assuming most of my english-speaking followers don’t either.
The only time Devsis really took action over anything was when there was an uproar caused by the publisher of the comics for adding a Cookie Hitler to the plot of Adventure Masterpiece. I’m assuming only because it would cause a significant uproar in Korea- (For those who don’t know, Korea used to be the victim of fascist and abusive dictatorship when Japan had control of the country years and years ago. Plus considering the current state of North Korea, they generally aren’t exactly ones who take too kindly to any depiction of fascism in any facet, even if they are the villain.)
Since MicMac had to give a public statement about how this was not something under his control since the Publisher writes and makes the comics and they only license the Cookie Run brand name out to them. Subsequently the Publisher had to pull the issue and stop running it, so even though it’s still listed in korean online storefronts it’s limited and not in print.
Yet that’s the thing. The Cookie Run Official Discord is run most mostly the Western Fanbase as far as I can tell, and if someone wanted to sue DevSisters for maybe putting their children in danger... well that would be harder than filing a lawsuit against Microsoft or Nintendo.
There’s no Devsisters of America. or Canada. They’re all based in Korea. So they probably have the safety net of knowing that if anyone outside the country could even have a chance of filing a lawsuit perhaps due to the Pedophilia issue, they’d have to be exceptionally powerful. Like Someone with a lot of power and legal prowess.
The fact of the matter is, DevSisters ignored the Burning Sun issue, DevSisters ignores the harassment their fans inflict on each other on a regular basis, DevSisters will ignore pedophilic behavior because they either don’t want to deal with it or don’t have to worry about facing consequences.
You need to remember DevSisters is not a small indie group making video games as a passion project, DevSisters is a CORPORATION. Corporations aren’t your friends. They aren’t here to protect you. They aren’t looking out for you. Their only job is to make money and at the end of the day unless something threatens that, they aren’t going to do anything about it.

My personal top games of all time
Honestly this is just gonna be me talking about games and why I like them. There’s no particular order.
Minecraft by Mojang - This was the first video game I ever knew about. Not the first I played (if we count stuff on wii, but do we count that?), but I certainly knew about it before other things. Beyond that, it was also the first game I ever played seriously. I’ve spent hours upon hours in this game on servers with friends, alone just building stuff, and this game is probably a big part of the reason that I have any creativity at all. Even if I could know how many hours I’ve played this game, I wouldn’t want to. Gotta be in the multiple thousands, now, if not tens.
Heartbound by Pirate Software - This game is a... unique experience. A lot of folks would probably say that this is some sort of “undertale clone” or “new undertale” but honestly? They’re only similar in speaking terms, and this game is in early access and it does the whole “All of your choices matter” thing better than Undertale ever did, but here’s the neat part: it never announces it. Nothing is going to tell you that you can not put on your sweatshirt and/or not take the axe at the start of the game and make all fights harder. Nothing tells you that having the jacket vs not having it will give you different dialogue for characters. Nothing tells you about the achievements in the game; they’re all secrets, and some are incredibly well-hidden to the point where I (not being a super completionist) would never have had a chance to find them if I didn’t regularly attend the development streams. Oh yeah, by the way, they stream development on the game on weekdays & play video games on weekends at twitch.tv/gopiratesoftware. And, lastly, the music for this game fucking SLAPS.
Undertale by Toby Fox - Okay we all get the deal, it’s a good game, choices and lore and story and stuff, I’m gonna move on bc nobody wants to hear that and I don’t wanna have to write it again.
Team Fortress 2 by Valve - The first FPS I ever played! I have 894 hours on this game oh god when did that happen. But yeah this game invented a whole genre that nobody even tried to replicate until 2016. The music is great, it’s a weird game, and if you don’t take it too seriously, it’s fun.
The Stanley Parable by Galactic Cafe - This game is so much more than it lets on. It’s an insane, surreal, bizarre, comedic game about a dude who walks out of his office. Similar to Heartbound, there are innumerable choices to make, and the developers seem to have thought of more than everything a player could want to do. It’s also got some very meta storytelling, and it’s the game that first got me into that sort of thing.
OneShot by Future Cat LLC - Honestly, it’s just an interesting story. I’m not really sure what makes this one so fun, but I think it might be stuff like the characters being kind and adorable, the oddness and diversity of the adventure, the general setup and intro for the story and the absolute insanity of everything that happens during the Solstice playthrough.
Hollow Knight by Team Cherry - 100% the game that made me enjoy the difficulty of games. It’s a very, very long adventure packed to the brim with lore and hidden storytelling (which I love), and the gameplay is remarkably tight and engaging. The customization via the charm system is also incredibly and allows for an insane number of gameplay styles.
Hyper Light Drifter by Heart Machine - This game is just so damn wild to me. It’s not the craziest or most visually stunning or most difficult game in existence, but it’s got a charmingly simple art style, a metric ton of stuff to do, and engaging gameplay. The story, as well, is great, especially if you can figure out what’s actually going on in its entirety due to all the enigma surround the events. If you can’t, then the end is still an incredible experience. Panacea by Disasterpeace (a song from the ost) is absolute perfection.
Portal 2 by Valve - This game got me thinking with Portals.
Pathologic 2 by Ice-Pick Lodge & tinyBuild - Not gonna lie, I can’t finish this game. I know I just threw out all of my credentials there, but this game is just brutally punishing before you know what you’re doing, and I never knew what I was doing. However, it’s very atmospheric, and the story is rather engaging. I couldn’t get past Day 3, but I was super damn interested by then.
Destiny 2 by Bungie - I have more than 1k hours on this game if we include the time it was on Battle.net. The gunplay in the game, the moment-to-moment, is so god damn good. Every gun is satisfying, and it’s just a good experience there. The visuals are certainly beautiful at times, and the lore goes so many miles deep. So many. I find the grinding in this game to be acceptable to great, depending on the circumstance, so it’s a pretty neat experience. A decent chunk of the game is free to play, too, if you’re uncertain.
Ori and the Blind Forest by Moon Studios - First and foremost, this game is beautiful. Every single god damn frame is a piece of art unto itself, and putting them together makes an unimaginably magnificent experience as you jump, bash, and glide your way through Nibel. Unrelated thing, but Ori is so damn adorable. I love the little glowy baby. But the platforming is sublime, as well, and the combat isn’t terrible. The story, though... oh, the story. The characters aren’t that deep, and the narrative isn’t complex, but damn does it make you feel things. It is in no capacity weak in any area, especially not the visuals and music.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps by Moon Studios - Fun fact before we begin: this game came out on my birthday! Anyways, moving on, take everything that Ori and the Blind Forest was, and just make it better. That’s this game. The story packs even more of a punch. The visuals are even more incredible (assuming your computer/xbox can handle them). The music is even more beautiful. The platforming is even more engaging and enjoyable. And the combat is a drastic improvement over the previous game’s already acceptable stuff. This game... its story... again, not some deep, philosophical narrative, but that mother fucking story... I am not joking when I said I cried for a week about this game. It is a transcendent experience, and quite probably my favorite game of all time. I can’t imagine something better.
Real quick, let’s just do a rapid-fire round of games that made me cry:
Heartbound
Undertale
To The Moon (not on the list)
Minecraft
OneShot
Hyper Light Drifter
Ori and the Blind Forest (a lot)
Ori and the Will of the Wisps (profusely, for multiple days)

Techz APK Minecraft 2022 for Android Free Download
Although the frame rate can drop at times, Minecraft is generally good. Everything will go smoothly for a few minutes, but then it will become choppy again. My high-end device cannot handle this game. When playing Asphalt I never experience frame drops. Those games are much more demanding. This one should be easy to handle if that's the case. It should be mobile-friendly. Otherwise, I really like it. The rust and frame drops are terrific.
You can play it in so many different ways, for example. Red stoners, builders, miners, terraformers, hermits, explorers, farmers, painters, and many others are all available. There are also many fun minigames like Spleen, bed wars, tent run, build battle, Minecraft prisons, sky block, hunger games, and many more. There are also creative modes, survival modes, and adventure modes (for explorers). Two bosses must also be beaten.
Now you can try Minecraft for free! Moreover, I think you could add fireflies to the jars and matches you can add them to, and make fishbowls that fish can live in, and after some time, the screen will shake randomly, but other than that, this is a great game! Amazing! What a great job you did! Thanks, Mojang!

How To Download And install it?
To start the download, you can download Techz APK Minecraft by clicking the button above. After downloading, you find APK on your browser's "Downloads" page. Which can be found anywhere on the Internet before you can install it on your phone, you need to make sure that third-party applications are allowed on your device. A confirmation window will pop up based on your browser preferences.
To make this possible, the following steps are largely the same. Open the menu, settings, and security, and search for unknown sources so that your phone can install applications from sources other than Google Play Store, and ApkBoat.com. You can go to "Download" in your browser and tap once on the downloaded file. Then install and launch it on your phone. There you will have to wait for some time to load the content. Then tap on the button to run it, this option is available in the security settings of your Android mobile phone.
What are the Pros and Cons of installing the Techz APK Minecraft apk file on your Android phone?
Pros:
APK files are popular for many reasons. The main reason is that new apps have been leaked in advance and are available for download as APK files. This means that users can get official access to new apps before they are available on the official Play Store.
It may be that no application is available in the user's country and therefore cannot be downloaded from the Play Facial Play Store. To access the number of restricted or restricted applications in some areas, users can download the APK file from other sources. For example, the IQ option, an application for a reliable trading online trading platform, is not available for download in some countries. Users in these countries can download the app's IQ Option APK file directly from the IQ Option official website.
APK files allow users to bypass the carrier to get the latest Google updates. It may take some time for some Google updates to be published and available on-air versions. Users can avoid the wait by downloading the APK file directly.
Cons:
While APK files are easy to install, they may not always be useful or secure. Users should be careful when downloading APK files as it may be a stolen or illegal application.
There are various APK services available on the Internet that allow users, to download pirated copies directly from their websites. However, it is an illegal activity that users should avoid. Therefore, proper research must be done before downloading any third-party APK files to avoid future legal issues.
APK files are available from many sources on the Internet. However, not all of these can be considered reliable. Some APK files contain malicious software that intentionally infects a user's device. Doing so could compromise the security of the phone and lead to the theft of personal information.
There have also been cases where hackers use APK files, modify them and allow additional applications. Users can accidentally leak sensitive personal information from the device to hackers.

Reviews:
Malan: It's awesome when you open it and all the applications are already there, which saves a lot of time and is just cool. But it doesn't always install everything; it was only one of eleven items that weren't in the play store, to begin with, but it did install the other two from the same pc.
Foxworth Barly: It's a good app, but it offers me much more than I want. I'm just interested in local data, but this software offers you a number of choices for installing applications you don't need. To make it a 5-star app, they should remove the extra nonsense.
Alshiti roan: Excellent application. It's what I need to mount anything!!!! I still request that the app's developers make the app installable because it claims it's corrupt but other than that, it's awesome.
Chrisman con: If the notification "Nice application available" occurs while attempting to install applications, simply open "APK Installer."
