sometimes you survive off the words of others' encouragement echoing in your head; you have to listen to them over your own voice sometimes. people's voices are sticky. unfortunately so are the horrible things people say, echoing louder until you teach them to fade and learn to differentiate the source of each voice <3

I am unhappy. But people don't want to sit and listen to you complain. It's fair nobody has the time for it. Everyone's so stressed and strained themselves I can see it painted on them.

And it takes a long time for me to process feelings. People get frustrated quickly, come on they'll tell me. Their exasperation at something that also very much bothers and impacts me (every living minute) tells me to shut up. Enough. Get up and go. But I've done toxic positivity. It's burnt me out so bad I'm still recovering. I just.

When I go through losing my home, people tell me how lucky I am to have them. I could be on the street. But luckily I've been saved. And it's not like I'm ungrateful I truly truly always am to be helped big or small. But it's the most unhelpful thing to say. It forces you to focus on why you should feel lucky and if you're in a bad place you generally just don't feel very luck inspired. I don't know how I want people to interact with me but I'm tired of these playbooks of empathy that feel so empty and hollow with each word.

Tell me you don't know how to help if you don't. People try and seem like they know what they're on about. But if they don't and still give that advice because it's the "polite thing" and they don't know what else to say really. Do they ever consider the implications and insincerity in a moment of vulnerability for the person they're trying to soothe by saying there's gold at the end of the rainbow. Maybe it's easier to delude ourselves into such things for some but it doesn't work for everyone. Some people see issues or injustices and it burns them inside.

Next time I cry I want someone to ask if I feel ready to open up yet or if I need a minute. This gages how to appropriately respond instead of presuming you have all the 'fixes' for this sad mood (so it can go away).

Trying to rush someone's emotions through something is so damaging. I understand we can only wallow for so long. But what if I've really just been born with a low threshold for how much I can take. What if when I force myself forward as requested, if each time you've tried you've burnt yourself out and then exploded or "escaped". I'm aware enough to see my brain but not how to do as I want. I think how I want but the signals from my brain to my body are so strong. My nervous system is a wreck from the life I've lived and I know I need to keep trying and just "get better" so everyone else can move on with their own lives but it's not like I haven't been desperately trying this entire time. I'm a people pleaser at times and the fact my mental health affects others kills me inside.

I just want to be seen and heard but by no one with the ability to judge or reply. My brain teems with thoughts left to echo and remain unfelt.

One of the most frustrating things about the common "Tim only thinks murder is wrong because of Batman" misconception is... No, that's Steph. That's literally Steph.

If Tim Drake never met Batman, Tim would still believe that killing people is wrong. It's a foundational part of his morality, he literally came to Bruce hoping to stop him from reaching that point of no return (or the one where he works himself into an early grave).

If Stephanie Brown never met Batman, she'd have killed a bitch by now. Probably her father.

Has anybody ever talked about how Welt is immediately the first one to jump in defense of dan heng when we ask him about the express crew?

Dan Heng was, in fact, the driest and coldest mfer you could find, I'm not going to deny that (hell, when I first started playing the game I didn't care about him in the slightest because of that). But Welt, the moment we just ask him about Dan Heng, immediately jumps onto saying that he isn't like that at all! That Dan Heng may appear cold and distant on the outside, but he's a child with a kind heart and he cares! He's just like that due to everything he's been through!

(also the way that he compared dan heng to his younger self... welt please, no more honkai impacting it out. you're making me cry.)

Welt also mentions that Dan Heng "told him he doesn't know what he's running away from, all he knew is that he had to run away". You know what that means?

That Dan Heng did talk with Welt about what he went through before the Express. Definitely not his time in the Shackling Prison, but the things that he encountered after he got exiled from the Luofu. That only proves that Dan Heng really does value Welt, he wouldn't tell something like this to anyone, so Welt must've really gained his trust somehow.

And don't get me started on how Welt says that he and Himeko will never let Dan Heng get hurt! And if anybody tries, they'll suffer their wrath! They're his biological parents, your honor. First Vidyadhara recorded to have parents.

I could yap so much more about Dan Heng's and Welt's relationship... Dan Heng really sees him as an authority figure, someone he looks up to by everything he says about him.

"Mr. Yang, could you provide your insight on this?" My guy, Mr. Yang is almost your father. He will kill everyone in the universe and then himself if even a hair falls off of your head. He is fathering so hard he is mothering.

i feel like the reason why sam makes such a good christ figure is that he's not just the chosen sacrifice of the story, he's also shunned and hated for it. the angels don't just see him as an abomination and unworthy of free will or empathy, they hate him because they know that when it comes down to it they also rely on him. after everything they've done, no matter how horribly they've treated him and convinced him that he doesn't deserve redemption, they still expect him to lie down and sacrifice himself. and he in the end he does. but not because they expect him to, but to prove once and for all that they were wrong about him and he can still be good. god what a character
