what if i said imogen is a better metaphor for generational trauma than she is for chronic pain or queerness
#this isn’t to be Against queer or chronic pain readings of imogen#in fact i think she can be read as all three#but. as someone who also experiences all three. her relationship with her mother and also her relationship with her powers#is Much more compelling if it isn’t migraines or queerness#because the queerness Metaphor (obvs she is actually queer but she isn’t ostracized for that like queer ppl are in our world)#falls flat for me when it comes to . well. the actual harm that her powers have caused her#between the Anger she contains and the sadness she exudes and her present but distant father#and her distant but ever so present mother. she’s designed for me actually#imogen temult#cr3#critical role#my posts
