#is Danny Penelope reincarnated?

Epic the Musical has come to a close but the way I went absolutely FERAL when Odysseus came in just taking people OUT. Absolutely no mercy, not even an ounce of remorse in those red eyes. He had gone through hell and back only to hear his own people wanting to hurt his wife and son.

Like, the amount of anger and relief he must have felt coming onto those shores after fighting Poseidon. The feeling that must have come from entering his castle’s halls, running a calloused and aged hand across the walls that have withstood the test of time while he had been away. The tension slipping from his shoulders as he makes his way further inside only to hear the noise, the rattle, of suitors plotting destruction onto those he loved.

If he had been any later, any longer — how pained did it make him to know what could have happened? What could have been had he allowed himself to slip into the cold embrace of death down into the waters?

But also, I immediately got shot back to a one shot here on Tumblr about Tim being Odysseus’ reincarnation and how Danny is the new Penelope that he loves very deeply.

Do you know how much I want Tim to do the same? How relieved he is that he is returning to Danny, that all the pain and suffering he had endured just to come home to him, to once more breathe in his scent and feel the loving weight of Danny’s arms around him? Only to stop dead in his tracks, ears ringing with the sound of discontent, of others planning harm to Danny, of slobbering eagerness to pull him down, and take Danny from Tim?

Tim who feels as if he has gone through something like this before.

Tim who feels that weight of a blade in his hand as he stalks the halls and tears through the dark, like a memory howling to be resurfaced.

Tim whose eyes are cold, without mercy, or second chances didn’t he say that ruthless is mercy upon because Danny is so very, very loved.

Tim Drake Loves Like Odysseus

If there’s one thing Tim Drake knows, it’s patience. He’s spent his whole life waiting—for approval, for recognition, for love. And when Danny Fenton crashes into his life, wild and untamed like the storm Tim never knew he needed, Tim feels like he’s found the one person who makes the wait worth it.

It’s funny, really. How Tim’s life echoes that of his past. Odysseus had Penelope, his constant, the woman he loved with every part of his being. She was his reason to fight, to survive, to return. And now, in this life, it’s Danny. Danny, who smiles at him like he’s the only person in the room, who pulls Tim in close with his easy laughter and gentle teasing.

Danny is Tim’s Penelope, his anchor in a world of chaos.

Tim doesn’t even realize how much of his past love has bled into this life until he’s sitting next to Danny on the couch one night. Danny’s head is on his shoulder, their hands loosely intertwined, and Tim just knows. This—he—is what he’s been fighting for.

It’s not the missions, or the victories, or even the Bat family’s approval. It’s Danny. He loves Danny with a quiet, fierce devotion, the same way Odysseus loved Penelope, with all the yearning and determination that had kept him alive through countless trials.

Tim would do anything for him.

And it’s not always easy. There are nights when Danny’s off fighting his own battles, and Tim waits, holding his breath, just like Penelope had done for Odysseus all those years ago. He knows what it’s like to wait for the person you love, to wonder if they’ll come back to you. But the thing is, Tim knows Danny will always come back. Just like Odysseus returned to Ithaca, no matter how long the journey or how hard the trials.

And when Danny does come back? When he wraps his arms around Tim, pressing a kiss to his temple, Tim feels that same relief, that same overwhelming love that he remembers Odysseus felt the moment he saw Penelope again.

It’s not just that Tim loves Danny. It’s that he waits for him. Fights for him. Lives for him, with the same depth and determination that had driven Odysseus through years of war and hardship, all for the woman he loved.

Tim may not be Odysseus anymore, not fully, but the love? That kind of love transcends lifetimes.

Because Danny is Tim’s Penelope, and no matter what this life throws at them, Tim will always find his way back to him.

Waiting... Waiting...

So... This was inspired by listening to EPIC (FREAKING LOVE ALL THE ALBUMS, SO GOOD) and by @noxcheshire post of Tim being Odysseus reincarnated and Danny (maybe also reincarnated) being his Penelope (Here) so I had to turn it into a Dead Tired idea.

The song The Challenge is the main one here. (Cause I LOVE that song... along with Would You Fall In Love With Me Again)

So WHAT IF Danny IS the reincarnated Penelope, after becoming the Ghost King Danny's memories of his past life as Penelope returns and remembers how before dying/ or being reincarnated both Penelope and Odysseus promised to find each other in their new lives, no matter who they are, what new form they take, they will find each other.

So Danny/Penelope, just like before waits for their Odysseus to return to them, but also tries to find him in their new life (CW is laughing whenever Danny asks for hints and gets a 'In due time, just wait' answer, ugh Danny wants to smack CW for that)

However just like in his previous life with being in a high position of power, Danny is being pressured to marry/take a spouse (now its not just men/males though so its a huge headache, I head canon Ghosts don't care much for gender preference) mostly by the dang eyeballs that Danny is still trying to find a way to get rid of without upsetting the Infinite Realms delicate (but slowly healing) balance even if Danny wanted nothing more than to punch all of the suitors out.

So Danny decides to play the long game again.

And waits for their Odysseus return.

Danny's wait is over when they suddenly feel the Realms shift one day, as if welcoming someone familiar home, and the same feeling Danny had when he had been Penelope and saw the storm that was sign of Odysseus coming home, Danny decides its time to bring out The Challenge once again. (CW gifted Danny a few things from his past as Penelope as a coronation gift, like Odysseus's bow (now enchanted to be unbreakable), a painting of when he was Penelope, with Telemchus, and Odysseus, and the Marriage Bed/Olive Tree, AND the Palace Odysseus made that Danny takes to being in over being at Pariah's Keep)

Meanwhile

Tim Drake, aka Red Robin, always had strange dreams as a child.

War, Death, Monsters, Gods, Goddesses.

His dreams were more like nightmares, haunting him and he sometimes woke up in cold sweat.

He hated storms. Hated being in the water for to long. Hated how he felt both tense but also at home when around Greek heroes, as if he was afraid to 'disrespect' them (Cassie was the only one he didn't feel that way around, mostly cause they had been somewhat friends before their heroing since their parents knew each other) but also knew how to appease them should he insult them. He also had a strange hatred for the CoO with a burning passion because he felt like they were mocking real Owls.

The worst part of nightmares that always pop up are of what feels like should be his home is being invaded by unwanted guests (they aren't guests), how they are angry over trying to string a bow and shot an arrow through axes, of the terrible terrible things he hear them saying they were going to do to his loved ones (two names that keep getting muted out).

How it ends in bloodshed with echoing of begging, pleading, mercy, and screams.

However in those nightmares at the end. He also finds himself looking for something in them.

Or rather he always found someone waiting for him at the end of the nightmares. Calling him by the wrong name but it sounds just right coming from them.

The dream always ends with the person asking 'How long has it been?' and before he can answer he wakes up.

So yeah Tim has horrifying nightmares/dreams he could never explain.

And the urge to find someone. To go home to them.

It isn't until he and his friends from Young Justice are hit by a spell from Klarion (who may or may not had a visit from a certain chaos encouraging Time Keeper) and sent to a place called the Infinite Realms in the middle of their fight, that Tim is hit hard with déjà vu when he spots a certain Palace in the distance and overhears some of the 'people?' (they glow and float and some don't even look human?! where are they?) talk about how the 'King' has issued a new 'Challenge' for his 'suitors'.

And Tim, feels like he knows this all too well and needs to do it.

Dead Tired x Reincarnation

Reincarnation is a documented phenomenon, if an uncommon one. It’s been recognized and recorded for years, with around 0.03% of the population being reincarnated. Out of that percentage, only 0.05 were important in history. Most reincarnate’s memories are triggered by reading history books of important events during their first lifetime or seeing items from their past in museums.

Tim didn’t remember his past life for a long time, but he knew he had one. He knew he was a reincarnation, just because certain things were too easy to do. He knew his first life was to thank for his knowledge of sneaking and battle strategy (not that he didn’t expand on it.) He knew his hatred of the ocean wasn’t normal, and that it wasn’t normal for his mind to move so quickly.(He couldn’t remember his dreams, but he would wake up reaching for someone who wasn’t there.)

Danny hadn’t realized he was a reincarnation until he was told by Frostbite. Frostbite explained how it was part of why he was so strong, that ghosts of reincarnates often are. He didn’t know who he was, but he didn’t care to know. (Danny tried to ignore the unnatural anger and fear and frustration when he saw Vlad flirting with his mother, of the memory of hot breath and a man glaring down at him, acting as if he had to choose him, that tugged at his mind)

Danny wasn’t interested in remembering who he was, and shoved the fragmented memories away.

Tim was always curious about who he was, but his fragmented memories were frustratingly dim.

However, at a gala Vlad dragged Danny to, their eyes met, and everything came flooding back.

I was watching Ordem Paranormal, when I began writing the fic

So far ever since the new epic musical album came up I've been seeing a lot more people come up with the idea of the god games but Danny Phantom

And I was just imagining how funny if in that song Dan was Aphrodite and Danielle was Aries

I'm about to get more as Danielle being a goddess of trickery and chaos of all types and can being considered to be three-faced like having like a three-faced mask that she wears around a lot and using her ability to melt as a way to appear behind people vastly without them noticing and she's really protective over Dan since she considers herself to be his older sibling because in her opinion he came in the family last

Dan being the ancient of love being so terrifying because love can also be considered to be a scary thing with his symbol being eagles and stuff and he is much more terrifying and violated the most people expect from the god of love but also when he needs to be complete and loving

I imagine Tucker taking up the sense of being Apollo with him being The reincarnation of an old pharaoh they're kind of being like a lots of Egyptian things around him but also like a theme of more technologically advanced with him working on a PDA all kind of having modern clothes on with hints of Egyptian pharaoh

oh and Sam acting like Hephaestus would be more interested in the plant she has in her garden then the heroes her clothes are kind of nature-like invite but also give all of a sense of golfness with like her plant giving off the shape of a large Palace that looks terrifying on the outside but the inside is filled with plants of all types

I imagine Jazz has like a therapist like setting office but like it's a open Greek palace like things of gold and bright blues and just being laid around it looks like an conference room but also like an open Palace I feel like her simple animal being Wolf's and bears would be so funny also be a hint to the little bear plush that she owns

I kind of feel like Danny's level would be a mix of Jazz's and Sam's with Danny's being like an open Palace room that kind of has like the hints of someone young is there with random bean bags being scattered around or miniature handcraft spaceships but also stars all around I feel like it'd be cute if his symbol animal was jellyfish which like jellyfish Stars kind of like float around

But I've just been imagining that song with Danny Phantom x DC I can probably start off with the Justice League like always getting into something this year now than having to deal with the consequence of it and the consequences is six teenagers taking a vote or not to kill them

Gods, I can’t wait for the Vengeance Saga

I am in love with the idea of Dan being Aphrodite and Dani being Ares, especially bc they’re both gods of war. And in EPIC, Aphrodite’s argument is about a mother’s love!! I hope you like the quick sketch of them :3

I don’t agree with a few of your ideas, but they all seem really fun. The idea of the Justice League having to argue against 6 teenagers is funny, bc imagine that they think they can argue against Dani and she just stabs them. Meanwhile, Jazz is like: so how did you feel when you got stabbed? when they come to her later to argue against her.

Actually, I also had thoughts about DP x EPIC, except Sam and Tucker were Odysseus (they shared the role idk) and Danny was Penelope. Jazz was Athena, Dani was Aeolus, and Dan was Scylla 😩

Throwback Thursday. Fox’s Peter Pan and the Pirates, circa 2010. Family portrait of Slightly and Wendy babysitting several of the Darling children. FYI: Slightly Darling: A young widower that works as a clarinet player for a local jazz club. He and his wife had no children before she died, so he adopted a young orphan infant that he believed was Billy Jukes reincarnated.

I based his outfit on Danny the Cat from WB's 1997 film, Cats Don't Dance. I figured that the two of them would have a lot in common. ~*~ Penelope Darling: First born daughter of Tootles Darling, a young man who had grown up to become a judge. She is only a few months old, but she has her father's love for food and is a plump little baby. ~*~ Wendy Darling-Porter: The mother of Jane Porter, wife to Professor Archimedes Q. Porter, and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, Wendy is one of the first children's rights activist. She made it her life purpose to work in improve local orphanages and to find the children good homes. A certified teacher, she also volunteers at the local orphanages, teaching the children how to read and write. Was based her after Steven Spielberg's Wendy in Hook (1991) ~*~ William "Billy" Darling: Abandoned in an alley when only a few months old, William is the adopted son of Slightly Darling, who believed him to be the reincarnated soul of his old pirate friend, Billy Jukes. He loves his father and enjoys inventing things, and always seems to get into friendly quarrels with his cousin, Jane Porter.

A bright child, he hopes to one day become a famous inventor and to attend university. I made based his outfit colors on Slightly's lost boy outfit. ~*~ Issac Darling: The son of Curly Darling, a young doctor. Like his father, he loves to make his family and friends laugh. It's been five years since Danny and Tim got married. A lot has happened in that time, good, bad, sad, all of it. Now, Tim and Danny face a new adventure as they start their journey to adopt.

What they don't expect are the hurdles that come along with it. Tim soon starts to struggle as he juggles a complicated series of murders, a traumatized child, the crushing weight of knowing that he is the unwanted one in his family and so much more.

Danny Phantom Ghost Dad AU

In which Danny is the (adopted) father of his ghost enemies who are now turned into children because they are getting to corrupted according to Clockwork and the Ghost Zone needs a figure who will guide them to eternal peace and happiness in their afterlives (and maybe even convince them to be reincarnated and live once again).

Dan is the first one to be turned into a 1 year old and Danny is very reluctant until he found himself falling in love at Dan’s new found innocence and Danny decides takes responsibility. There was a bit of fight and Dan ran away, Danny got him back by making him jealous by using Clockwork in his toddler form and babied him and that’s where Dan jumped in and yelled his first and official words “GET OUTTA MAH SPOT!” Danny is not sure whether he should be proud or be frightened, either way he’s glad to have him back.

After another year, the family is continuously growing. I’m not sure who comes first but I want you guys to know what will you expect:

Emily Amber McLain - wants to be a rockstar and be famous. Loves attention, a bit of a tsundere, and is accident prone, she seta things on fire. She is also British. Secret crush on Skulker, refuse to admit it. She doesn’t like Danny to be called “adopted father”, she wants him to be called “real father”. She is not the only who doesn’t want to be called adopted.

Nicolai Tchaikovsky - he levitates a lot and doesn’t like manual labor (which is why Danny dragged him to Casper High). He makes memes and vines since he is not allowed to terrorize humans. He is Russian. He is Desiree’s self-proclaimed brother.

Desiree - a shy sweetie and family oriented but has a fearsome temper. She is at first confused of what she will be even though it was right on her face. She grants the wishes of what she deems to human worthy of her magic but that doesn’t stop from granting every wish she hears only when she is bored. She despises teens who doesn’t recognize the love of their parents and gives them a lesson through their wishes but as long she doesn’t them wishing, she can’t do anything. She is Arabian. She is Nicolai’s self-proclaimed sister.

Billy Walker (I might change name, suggest if you like) - a sweet grumpy lil’ angel who is very obedient and behaves all the time but that doesn’t stop him from being hotheaded. He lives around Southern part of America. He is Penny’s self-proclaimed brother.

Penelope “Penny” - she is smart and aspirin psychologist but her technique is breaking you down to the ground and build you back up. Which works all the time. She have the tendency to hold down her laugh during a session of depressed person because she tends to compare her life to others and often, she finds herself happy and lucky. She is typical American!

Katherine “Kitty” - I am not sure yet but I’m going to make girly and badass.

Johnathan “Johnny” - he thinks he is unlucky having Danny as his dad because he tends to be suffocating but regrets it afterwards and saw he was really lucky after all.

Nocturne - I would describe him somewhat well behaved and quiet but also dangerously curious which caused him his innocenece because Danny told him to stay away from the human zone because of their dreams but he disobeyed and saw something that changed his views on “sweet dreams”… Anyways he is spirit and spirits are rather rare to be born which explains he is never human.

Vortex - a bit emotionally unstable but he is fun and free spirited. He tends to

Undergrowth - would be somewhere between Nocturne and Vortex.

Sidney Pointdexter - would be that be obedient boy and does what Danny says without hesitation. He doesn’t hate the bullies as much as he is into the series but he still dislikes them. He does prank them in revenge but gives a chance to change if they promise to change.

Andrew “Andy” Riter - is Ghostwriter and he is the same old except he loves his dad.

Randall “Randy” Riter - is Ghostwriter’s older stepbrother and he is more happy go lucky towards his unlife.

Fright Knight - would be that kid who have high dreams. He even pleaded to Danny if he can keep Fright Mare. He is also obedient to Danny but he ends crossing the line since he follows the Ghost King’s antics.

Aragon - would be the mean older brother of Dora and hates everyone else. Though hardheaded and harsh, he is just shy to show them since he believes it ruins his thought image. He is also fights with Ghost King.

Dorathea - would be that obedient daughter and gets dragged around by her brother.

Ghost King - would be the kid with a king complex (is that even real?) And acts like mister tough guy even though he is softy. He does a lot antics and fights a lot to Aragon.

I’m debating whether I should make Danny dead or still a Halfa with immortality and youth. I’m also imagining him as a 19 year old (19 because I believe it borderlines between teenagehood and adulthood, idk please don’t ask me). I also made a Human AU on this Ghost Dad AU. The Reincarnation of Romance

Tim doesn’t believe in fate. He believes in statistics, in probabilities, in cold, hard logic. He believes in data points and patterns and cause and effect.

Danny doesn’t believe in fate either. He believes in choices, in carving your own path, in standing at the precipice of the unknown and stepping forward anyway.

And yet—

There is something undeniably fated about them.

Something in the way Tim’s fingers trail along Danny’s wrist like he’s tracing the life thread of his own existence. Something in the way Danny says Tim’s name like a whispered prayer, like the world could crumble around them and it wouldn’t matter as long as they were together.

Something ancient, something timeless.

Tim doesn’t believe in past lives. And yet, when he looks at Danny, there is a familiarity that stretches beyond reason, beyond explanation. It’s in the way Danny leans into his touch like he’s done it a thousand times before. It’s in the way Tim worships him so openly, so effortlessly, without hesitation.

Like instinct. Like inevitability.

The family doesn’t know what to do with them.

Tim, whose love is all-consuming, who would burn the world to the ground if it ever so much as thought of harming Danny. Danny, who welcomes Tim’s obsession with the amused indulgence of a man who was clearly adored in another lifetime and carries the memory of it in his bones.

Danny sweeps Tim into his arms at a moment’s notice, presses kisses against his wrist with breathless adoration, waxes poetic about Tim’s brilliance, his beauty, his mind.

Tim, for his part, is indulgent. Amused. He watches Danny with dark, knowing eyes, lips quirked in a smile that betrays nothing but quiet satisfaction. He tilts his chin up just slightly when Danny kisses his hand, his wrist, the inside of his palm. A queen granting favor.

They move through the world as though they exist on some other plane, where every touch is sacred and every look is a vow.

They are impossible to be around.

“Mon amour,” Danny gasps the moment Tim steps into the room, eyes alight with an adoration that borders on worship. He strides forward, hands already reaching for Tim’s waist, his arms, anything he can hold.

Tim hums, tilting his head as Danny presses a kiss to the back of his hand. “Darling,” he murmurs, amusement dancing at the edges of his voice.

Jason groans. Steph makes a gagging noise.

“You were apart for five minutes,” Duke says flatly.

“Five minutes too long,” Danny insists, pressing his forehead dramatically against Tim’s shoulder. “The sun is cold without you, my love.”

Tim lifts a delicate brow, but his fingers still come up to tangle in Danny’s hair, slow and methodical. A caress disguised as nothing at all. “You are insufferable.”

“And yet, you adore me.”

A smile, small and sharp, curls at the edges of Tim’s lips. “A tragic truth.”

Cass watches them with knowing and amused eyes. Duke mutters something about how it’s “so much worse in person.” Damian looks between them with deep suspicion but diligently sketches the scene anyway.

And Bruce? Bruce has seen a lot of things in his life. He’s fought gods, stood against the impossible, watched the world bend and break and come back together again.

But nothing—nothing—could have prepared him for the reincarnation of Odysseus and Penelope manifesting in his own home.

Tim and Danny don’t care.

Tim is obsessed. Tim is devoted. Tim is utterly, ridiculously in love, and he makes sure Danny knows it every waking moment of his existence.

Danny basks in it.

They have done this before, in another life, in another time, and they will do it again in the next.

Because, for Tim and Danny, love is eternal.
