A couple of commissions for roses: wedding and Valentines Day. (some gentleman is way ahead of the game!) The roses are (very) slightly different styles and different thickness of metal. They aren’t extremely difficult, but very time consuming. Biggest difference were the stands. Very different styles.

Scrounging bits of scrap tool steel from around the shop to forge some chasing tools. The (blue) Columbine will be chased on the inside of a rather deep bowl, the leaf is to be forged in bronze and brazed on the inside (inspired by a recent bowl by @dirtysmith). Nothing fancy, just some quick coat hooks for a customer in Minnesota. Forging has tapered off the last month or so. Vision in my right eye crapped out quickly to a very aggressive, concussive cataract. Hope to finish up these awards today. Still need to do some minor patina work, make the brass rivets, and mount.
