What do you think about the Galar kids? (Gloria, Victor, Bede, Manie n' Hop)

Gloria and Victor are amazin’ kids- far braver than I could ever be when dealing with Rose’s schemes. I’m a little pissed that it had to come down to kids dealin’ with Rose instead of- you know- THE POLICE? But, hey. It’s over now, and the kids have gone through heaps of therapy to help with the aftermath. Love them. Hope they’re all good.

Bede is fuckin’ hilarious. He doesn’t mean to be, obviously, but when he tries to be all tough ‘n shit all you can really do is laugh and ruffle his grandma hair. Wish he specialised in something other than fairy, though…

Marnie is my GIRL. My spy on the inside to make sure Piers is all good. A lot of people thinks she’s mean, for some reason? Which is a load of shit?? She’s a wonderful girl- even if she is a little blunt and unresponsive sometimes. Again. My girl. Love her.

Hop is worrisome. To say the least. I’d say that he shouldn’t push himself so hard to become like Leon, but- that’d be hella ironic comin’ from me! I know he’s Sonia‘s assistant ‘n all that now, but he’s still battling Leon at every chance he gets. ‘N losin’.

Eternatus let out a pained and mournful cry.

"Oi, what's gotten into you?" Raihan gently patted the dragon's skeletal neck. "You're not hungry are you? I just fed you."

"Do you know what could be wrong with it?" Asked Leon, walking into the room.

"Not a clue," said Raihan, "Hasn't been this upset since the day Rose died... But it sounds more sad than panicked, this time. Gave me a right scare last night, though. Screamed like it was dying."

Leon let out a concerned hum as he crossed his arms in thought. "You think there's a connection? To Rose's death, I mean."

"There'd have to be," said Raihan, "He dies mysteriously one day, body goes missing the next, NO evidence on how it disappeared... Nothing about this situation is normal, so why wouldn't there be a bloody connection a this point?"

Eternatus let out another mournful cry, to which Raihan softly cooed and shushed before the beast was quiet again. "Anyway," he said, before looking back at Leon, "How's the kid?"

Leon smiled. "She's stable, now," he said, "The doctors said she's expected to make a full recovery."

Raihan sighed with relief. "Thank the legends," he said, "At least that's one good thing that's happened this past week!"

Eternatus appeared to visibly relax, its cries turning growing quieter until it turned into a relaxed purr.

"Ah, that's more like it!" Raihan grinned as he pet one of the horns on Eternatus's head. "Guess you were really feeling the bad vibes too, huh?"

Leon smiled. "You're starting to do really well with Eternatus," he said, "Glad to know I picked the right person for the job."

"Yeah, 's not so bad once you learn which parts to pet and which parts are likely to give you Dynamax Poisoning," said Raihan, "Only really lets me pet it anyway, though."

Leon approached Eternatus, staring at its many eyes, and smiled. "You're not so bad now, are you?" he asked, "It's nice to see you in a better light."

Somewhere, deep within an empty max den, was a... Something, resembling human. Perhaps it was but the remains of what once was a powerful man, now with nothing left but his ever-growing grief.

He sat there, thinking about what just happened. About the young girl who went limp in his arms. About how he watched the stranger carry who came to help carry her away.

Suddenly, he felt his sorrow wash away, with an overwhelming sense of hope take its place. He looked up at the ceiling, seeing the afternoon sun shine through the cracks. Had he still been capable, he would be smiling by now.

What's happening between Galar and Paldea gym leaders? I have not been paying attention. Did Raihan call Iono short or something?

i'm not that much in the loop (i am) buuuut...

basically iono decided to start beef with raihan. not serious beef, likely something for a pr stunt. just mocking how he never could beat leon but a 10-year old could, poking fun at his selfies on stream, making a (very bad imo) diss track about him, you get the idea. honestly, this is par for the course for the two of them, they've had friendly rivalry collabs a few times. raihan retaliated with the standard playful bullying and a response that did sound better. not one of the best though i don't listen to rap much. all fun and games until Iono posted this

this is the first time they've done something like this as far as I know. to me it's clearly supposed to be a friendly competition but Iono stans took this showdown very seriously. lots of iono fancams, iono outsold, you get the idea.

to "support" their streamers, fans playfully bullied each other. then it degraded into name-calling, until one person brought up one (of admittedly many) of raihan's previous controversies.

from what i've seen, iono stans and raihan stans are quite different from. raihan fans tend to bully him lightly with a 'fair enough' attitude when people make fun of him, while iono stans will vehemently defend her in an "only we can make fun of her" sort of way.

this was the straw that broke the camel's back, and raihan fans retaliated with bringing up one of iono's contreversies. and now they're going back and forth over and over with this. very entertaining 🍿
