Benedict taught Violet how to swear and Cattleya nearly killed him

Erica helped on accomodating Violet's needs and this resulted on them becoming closer

Cattleya is the supportive neurotypical friend that can rip your throat with her own teeth if you say anything about those guys she works with

Benedict, Hodgins, Iris and Violet have punched people on the face for talking shit about their work friends

In this situation, Cattleya and Erica would just stare and list everything that is wrong with you and threaten your family and friends if you come closer their work mates

Violet has a crush on Luculia and one day she came over the company and that made Violet really embarassed, making everyone find out about her crush

Since then, they try making them go to dates and do romantic stuff together

Violet loves everyone as her family, and in each one's birthday she writes them letters and say "I love you" (someone definitely cried. You can decide on who)

Chapter 16: What We Always Do

At a loss for how to handle all the feelings swirling inside of her, Iris resorts to what she’s always done; write letters.

NOBODY TOUCH ME, I have just definitely finished Violet Evergarden and I'm SO sad. I think it's another level of sadness, this hits too hard.

Hey! It's been a while, but here's a new anime review and tierlist! Today's anime is Violet Evergarden, and I'll be reviewing the animated series, as well as the two movies!

To put it in a nutshell, it was amazing. The art style is beautiful, and the story is filled with emotional moments. Also, the music... I don't mention it often, but the OST of this anime is just wonderful.

The animated series is twelve-episode long, which is enough to give the main character, Violet, great character development. You can see her grow as a character as time passes, and it feels really accomplishing to see her change. The other characters introduced are great, either as supporting or one-shot characters, and you grow fond of them. The plot is really interesting and you feel for Violet.

This anime also has a Gaiden movie that focuses on two new characters. I find it really nice that they could make the viewer feel for new characters in only 90 minutes. This movie is split into two parts, and I feel they handled this very well, also giving a returning character solid development they were lacking.

Finally, the series comes to a close with a final movie, which is LONG - 140 minutes long! - but definitely worth watching. It brings a wonderful end to the story, with an ending that will make you cry for certain. A quick fun fact about this movie, by the way. When I watched it, I was surprised to hear a whole new cast of voice actors. And while I don't mean to disrespect anybody's hard work, they weren't that good. Like, the voices weren't synced with the lips, the accents were weird... It happened that I had seen the movie with its Middle Eastern dub, not the official English dub like the twelve episodes and the other movie... I was disappointed, to be honest, especially since the original VA cast was amazing! And yet, I still found the movie breathtaking, so you can expect something even better if you watch the official dub.

Overall, everything about this anime is great... almost. There's only one little detail that bothers me, and that may bother you when you watch it. I won't say anything more not to spoil, but it has to do with the implied ship for the protagonist. It's rare for me to go against the canon of any anime, but I have to in this case. It's not a big deal if you choose to interpret the protagonist's relationship with this character in a more platonic way, though.

All in all, I can only recommend that you watch this anime. It'll bring you to tears more than once, but it is absolutely stunning.
