Dude in Kushu's magical girl story, her wish seemed like such a spur-of-the-moment wish, like she saw her chance slipping away so she tossed her only thought out there to Kyuubey.

Now translating her event, like she talked to Kyuubey in advance. And she still wished for morning to never come? Like, I know half the reason the magical girl system works is because teenagers make stupid wishes but really? You couldn't think of any better way to word that?

Going to shoot my shot and say that we're getting a Himena Aika alt sometime this year, and that she's going to be an Aqua Kushu.

If you weren't aware, Kushu is a unit that really warped the design of units and what they can do in MagiReco. She's an offensive unit that boosts your teams magia and dark attribute attack up by a significant margin. Usually units that boost other units in multiple areas are support types that don't deal much damage on their own. Think Nayumii or Mikage. However, in addition to all that, she restores mp to herself, meaning its easy to loop her magia several turns in a row.

Now, why does that matter?

Well, Aqua is in a weird spot as an attribute because it's the only one that hasn't gotten a Kushu. There's been Toyo for Light, JuriYuna for Flame, and Mami0 for Forest. However, the closest Aqua got was Yachiyo Fairytale, who traded giving Magia up to her team for restoring MP to them. It wasn't a good trade. Yachiyo Fairytale remains one of the most frustrating units in the game that you have to use because there's no better option.

So Aqua is definitely wanting for an Aqua Kushu, but why do I think it's Himena who's going to be it?

Well, simply put, she's the only faction leader without an alt, so it's only natural she should get one soon. What's more, her SE kit already gives Aqua Attribute Attack up and Magia up to her team.

So a Himena alt that works like Kushu seems to all but inevitable.
