I'm at work rn reading your latest post and for some reason tears just started flowing. I know Irene has been gone a while (literal years irl) but seeing her again and listening to that letter was so touching. She really would have been proud to see the young woman her daughter has grown into.

Thank you Belle for being there for her all these years.

things from today i loved 💓 #6:

sooo yesterday was e.'s birthday and she had a lil get together on our dorm floor and it was pretty cute <3

f. & j. however went to check out some bars and tho my original plan was to join them, i was just too eepy lol and turns out i did the right thing because they ended up missing the last train home (in tokyo they stop kind of after midnight) and having to stay up all night lol it's something I want to experience as well, but definitely not while im still a bit jet lagged. there's even a word for it in japanese 朝帰りasagaeri which translates to coming back in the morning lol

anyways i kind of then had the morning to myself; other people were going places I wasn't that interested in & also im starting to think super large groups aren't that great an idea, and my photography professor mentioned a photo exhibition that's going to end this weekend so i went to check it out <3 it was super cool!!! it was about masahisa fukase 💓 there were some framed shots, but there were also stacks of film you could just go through and it was magic <3

i was then heading to harajuku because i saw the cutest pair of jeans there the other day but I can't do shopping in a large group setting at all 🥲 but I also kept thinking about them and also also needed a bigger bag so yea that was my plan for the day; but then when he woke up f. texted me and told me he was heading there too because he was meeting a friend and invited me to check out the otter cafè together and like. how do you say no to that lol

we didn't end up going tho because it was very busy (we'll go back during the week) AND I ended up finding those jeans and they fit me perfectly despite being a japanese one size which worried me at first 🥹

me & f. then headed back to shibuya to check out the small pokèmon center & nintendo shop and oh lord...... the amount of money I would have spent 🫡 and I kind of did spend a bit 🫡

theeen f. invited me to hang out with a japanese friend of his, which turned out to be this very sweet & lively 30 something year old japanese woman who took us to a super yummy & cheap yakitori place & then took us out for drinks in 新宿ゴールデン街, which is basically a small district within the district made of tiny alleys and even tinier bars with a more historical feel 🥹

I tried sake highball, and the conversation got pretty funny LMAO basically she told me I REALLY should try dating a japanese guy while im here. she said they are technicians in bed (I swear I could not stop laughing LMAO if j. was there he would never let me live this down since he also wants me to date around lol)

anyways. had loooots of fun <3 checking out another photography exhibition tomorrow in central tokyo with j. and a. and then we'll see whether we want to do some shopping or some sight seeing 💓

I love the ~idea~ of mcd!garroth. But I HATE canon Garroth. I love the IDEA of a gentlemanly, shy, quiet sweetheart who loves too much for his own good, but I feel like around Laurance getting trapped in the Nether, he starts to undergo a? decaying?? Of his character? When he adamantly refuses to rescue Laurance from the Nether and holds Aphmau back from doing so. And then when we get to the Irene dimension betrayal, he’s turned into a total self-centered conceited disloyal stuck-up cold douchebag asshole incel. I’m trying to rewatch season 2 and it’s painful to get through any scene with Garroth in it because he’s just turned into the most arrogant, selfish, devoid of empathy, cold-as-balls misogynistic asshole I’ve ever seen, and from the snippets I’ve seen throughout season 2 and season 3 whenever I’ve skipped ahead, I don’t think he ever gets better and I’m DREADING experiencing that. It’s gotten to the point that whenever he comes on screen I boo his ass and talk shit for hours because he will just not stop pulling dick moves. And I’m certain I’ll have a BLAST (sarcasm) when I get to season 3 and he starts being racist too for literally no reason, as if that’s ever going to be enjoyable. Why is he racist? Why did they do this to my boy?? Why did they do you so dirty, Garroth?? What happened to my sweet, adorable, shy, loving, devoted gentleman?? Where did my golden retriever boy go?? Who is this ASSHOLE that replaced him?? Where has my beloved darling boy gone?!?!?! WHY IS HE A RACIST PIG NOW???
