📖 Tonight I read “The power of kindness”

The chapter I’m reading is called Contact (To touch and to be touched), it’s interesting to read and I’d like to share;

“The incapacity of being in touch with others can become a tragedy of solitude. We become our own prisoners.

Why do we not succeed in opening up to others?

The reasons are many, and the most common ones are that we feel inferior and other people appear to us as better and more intelligent; or we feel superior, and we think contact with others is a waste of time.

Maybe we are afraid of being invaded and controlled; or perhaps we fear being humiliated and wounded.”
