SO angel insects are a subsect of insects in zoraptera. they’re similar to webweavers and congregate in communities !!!!!!

the coolest thing about them is WHY they’re called angel insects:

all angel insects, both male and female, have winged and wingless forms. and when winged they have many compound eyes!!!!!

look at this image of a hubbards angel insect!!!!!!!! literally a perfect angel, look at those beautiful beaded antennae <3

on the other hand here we have zoraptera malaisei, which is also super cool but almost a little demonic looking !!!!!!!!! both of these are non winged specimen but it’s just so cool to see the diversity even though zoraptera is very small compared to lepidoptera or mantiodea <3
