@invindictae - starter call
“My dear Anders, how can you call yourself Fereldan and not love dogs?” Her tone is teasing, but El always takes the matters of Ferelden and dogs very seriously. Or perhaps she’s just trying to get the dour healer to smile.

“I’d enjoy it more if I wasn’t always bloody or bruised,” Neil quipped. In truth, he hadn’t wanted to come initially. Yet, Aveline didn’t by his “just a scratch” routine and practically dragged him to the Clinic. The gash on his arm was from an arrow that had flown too close for comfort. It stung some and stained his favorite shirt. Other than that, Hawke felt fine. It was probably a wound he could have cared for on his own. Yet, here he was, standing in front of Anders.

@invindictae // I LIVE ON PAIN
“WHY ARE YOU looking at me like that?” She recognized the face, but couldn’t understand the distress plastered on his features. She stood stoic before him, hands resting at her sides idly.
“Are you in need of aid? I can assist if you are troubled by something.”

“I’m fairly certain I still look better than the other guy,” Hawke managed, holding a clean-ish rag to the gash in his flank. “I mean, he’s dead, but he was relatively good-looking, so it’s not as clear-cut as it might sound.”

“If you’re going to run from the Wardens, you might want to consider hiding yourself better.” He looked around the clinic and the various people gathered there before turning his gaze back to Anders. “Or at least going by a different name.”

“You’re the mage,” Alistair called in surprise, stopped in front of a gentleman with only barely familiar hair and even less familiar eyes. But he reeled even as the words fell from his lips, shame inflaming his cheeks and nose scrunching with his indiscretion. “The one who used to be a Grey Warden, I mean. Er, one of them,” he corrected quickly, hopefully before he could scare off the other man. Alistair’s mouth often tended to run a few sentences ahead of his brain, especially on matters that could give offense.
Still, he took an insistent step forward. “I’d heard rumors that you might have joined the Inquisition. Even after leaving the Wardens, it seems like we can’t seem to avoid trouble. We met, once. In Amaranthine.”

“I’ve heard of you--Anders, isn’t it? The one to bring the Southern Chantry to it’s knees and start a revolution heard ‘round the world.” Akil can’t help the way he eyes the other mage, almost as if memorizing every line and curve of his features. “Have you ever thought of sitting for a portrait?”

@invindictae - x
“I’m fine!” It had been one thing to get cut up this badly, but another to know that part of it was himself. Anders should have known that it wouldn’t have been that easy to simply go in blindly, but all the same, he should have known better.
“I don’t… I don’t need to sit down.” That much was a lie, if the Apostate was being honest with himself, he wasn’t going to get better with out some rest, but that didn’t mean that he wasn’t going to protest, “I’m fine.”
“I would think having a spirit of Justice in your head would keep you from lying.” El did her best to look imposing; not an easy feat when facing down someone a head taller than her. But she would not be outdone in stubbornness. Especially not when a friend was hurt.
She reached up to grasp his shoulders, walking him firmly back toward a cot. “Sit, Anders, and let me have a look. I may lack your natural talent for healing, but I do know a few tricks.”

“well, you’ve CERTAINLY managed to make a reputation for yourself,” sidri states SIMPLY and it occurs to her she hasn’t the faintest idea what to do now. there isn’t much contact with kirkwall save the few acquaintances varric’s managed to muster up and the appearance of HAWKE, but she highly suspects both kirkwall and the rest of the free marches won’t be entirely HAPPY to hear of this meeting. “does anyone know you’re HERE?”

"OH MY!"
Sputtering, Hawke flinched, in her room at the manor as Anders rudely barged in without knocking. Something was more than apparent to him, however, apart from her clear nakedness. Her stomach was clearly curved. Hawke had been hiding this from the group since she herself had found out.
"How many times have I told you to knock?!?"
This prompted her to pull on her robe, to at least cover herself up. She wasn't afraid of her body, no, she was afraid of the truth lying in the pit of her stomach, the growing life within.

He could crackle and burn with as much anger and hatred as he wished but it would not faze Fenris, it would not cause him to waver in the slightest. If anything, it only served to annoy the warrior more, thin lips curling into a snarl as he glares at the other.
“And killing them all proves what exactly? That you’re not an abomination? A monster?”
