Luka was raised by a family of hunters, though, only much later in life he found out what his patents really did. They never wanted him to follow that kind of life style, his parents knew, Luka was destined to a lot more, (not to mention hunters usually don’t live longer.)

They would tell him they were going away for work when they had to go on a hunt and Luka was left with friends of the family (who were also other hunters), one of those friend was an older maned Illya, Illya would tell Luka monster stories, making himself to be the hero who saved everyone, though Luka was still young, he never took those as more than silly stories to amuse and maybe scare him a little bit, and to be honest the young boy loved the story time.

Illya and Luka formed a strong bond, so much so, he thought of the older man as his grandfather and when Illya passed away he left Luka his old house, and everything in it, including some journals with the stories he’d tell him as a young boy.

Despite it reading like Illya truly believed the monsters stories and he believed he really deafted said monsters, Luka didn’t think much of it, he kept those journals though as they reminded him of his childhood and someone he really cared about.

Life went on for Luka, he got into law enforcement, latter on becoming a homicide detective, everything was good, and then… Then it all changed… Luka learned his family, mother, father and younger sister passed away in some bizarre animal attack, but something wasn’t sitting right with Luka, he looked at the crime scene photos and no animal on earth could had done that, it reminded him of something… It sounded like… Illyas stories…

From that point on Luka went on a spiral, he read all the journals back to back time and time again and now he wasn’t so sure if the old man’s stories were simply stories. Luka’s mind was open to whole new reality and now he wasn’t able to close it.

He’d see it. All the old unsolved cases, people torned apart by “animals”, found without a drop off blood, wounds on their necks… And so he began to invetigate what his parents did and that’s how he found out about the hunters, the supernatural kind.

This sent the man into a break down, he kept trying to warn people, his co-workers, no one would listen, everyone thought losing his family was driving the man insane, so, he was sent to mental care facility and dismissed from his job.

He knew whoever he was not insane. And so, Luka run away from the hospital, he swear he’d find whoever hurt his family and since he couldn’t be a cop anymore, he was gonna be a Hunter. Pick up where his family left of. And get his vengeance in the process.

  Mastery Journal New Media Journalism Research and Invetigation

This class wasn’t at all like I expected. The brief description on FSO Login what is posted The Research and Investigative Skills Development Course examines the massive shifts in the media environment and challenges students to re-imagine how they can uncover, research, and produce investigative stories in that environment. Students will study the fundamentals of research, examine the relationship between research and theory, and explore research ethics. The course also helps students experience the process of online research and how to build credible sourcing to substantiate their work. The course addresses topics that require students to contemplate the validity of conclusions formed from online research and to consider alternative strategic approaches for comprehensive completed projects. --Full Sail University.2023 From the Description Alone picture or more like imagine that this class was research and term paper research in journalism. But once, entering the class I was super excited to the depths of all the aspects of how important research is in journalism and the importance of having credible sources to support the stories that are written. What I I also didn’t expect was that even though research and investigating was crucial and knowledge information I was pleasantly surprise that I was to tap into my creative side. And really express side as writer.  All in I All I was pleased with this course and the new knowledge and aspect of new media journalism  and how  I will be use these current  tools and  how I will apply them in my future goals and ambitions.

This week ‘s class, I get in touch with the R language. What’s really funny is, before 2018, I never ever get in touch with any of the computer science languages because I was a journalism major. Sometimes, people have a very strong prejudice between different industries. That’s why there are so many voices comes to me when I combined the CS major and my Journalism major, they were shocked, curious and confused. Because Journalism and Computer Science are completely two different areas, how can they end up together? As I mentioned last week’s blog, the article from the Washington Post, “Fatal Force”, one of the main reason that this article wins the Pulitzer Price because of its amazing database, which kinda proves that different working fields can be teamed with each other. Okay, back to the subject, the R. R is a programming language. R mainly dealng with the statistical computation of data and graphical representations. Many data science experts claim that R can be considered as a very different application. In my opinion, R is pretty different with Java and Python. I took the “Programing with Data” last semester. I learned Python in that class. Turns out, there are a lot of common between Java and Python, if I any confusions, Google is my best friend. However, R to me is a enigma, and I suffered a lot from the homework, which required us to program in R. To me, I am not sure if my code is working or not, even though my code is not working, the error message is very vague and I don’t really know how to fix it. And the R studio also gives me a hard time when I was doing the homework. I can’t download the R Studio software to my computer, so I have to do my homework with onlined version R studio (and I lost all my work at the end because it faild to saved and I can’t open the my homework in the online R studio as well). I understand that none of the computer science languages are easy to learn, but what I feel suffer is, I don’t know what’s wrong with my code cause I can’t debgug it (and I tried Google, not a lot of useful informations). I searched it on the website, one article said the disadvantage of the R language is, R has a steep learning curve, and people without programming experiences (which is me) may find it overwelming. However, I know that R is an amazing tool for the graphicla representation, the related attributed to R are extremely exemplary. According to the invetigation, R and Python are the two most popular programming languages used to data analysts and data scientists. Because Both languages are free and open source, and were developed in the early 1990s (which both of the languages have a long history). Especially R, R is good of statistics-hearvy projects and one-time dives into a dataset.
