Bang-Clang Day & Genealogy Day

Person A is an engineer for robots whose big on recycling and creates little family trees for their robots based on the parts used in cases of recycling/repurposing. Sometimes a repurposed part comes from a robot that merely got an upgrade and didn’t need the part anymore and is still functioning, so Person A refers to the robots as each other’s family. Person B is their new associate working with them and starts getting recordings and video of the robots and saving them for when the parts get recycled/repurposed, to show their ‘descendant’ robots memories of their ‘ancestors’.

Eyes widen a little when Leo doesn’t hear him and Arlo parts his lips to respond, then just laughs when Elise suddenly chimes in. A glance shot her way. “Oh, she’s- she’s perfectly all right,” they exclaim in response to Leo’s scolding. A warm smile. “I collect them! Well…I sort of collect a- a- a…a lot of things, actually!” 

Their gaze shifts to the table when they catch her peeping at the parts and pieces scattered about the table. There’s all sorts of things, maybe even multiple projects being worked on. A blueprint with ink smudges and wrinkled edges is hidden beneath wires, gears, miniature books and wood pieces, like some kind of miniature village being slowly pieced together, wiring cut down and batteries strewn about, bits of wood shavings dusting the instruction booklet tossed in the corner, paper cuttings littering the tabletop. There doeen’t appear to be much organisation to it, yet somehow everything seems to have a place to avoid getting lost in the whirlwind of creation. Much like the rest of the home.

A bright grin, excitement sparkling in the inventor’s eyes when the two of them agree to seeing his contraption in the basement. “All right,” they exclaim, rubbing their hands together briskly. “I- I- I do have to warn you, it- it- it’s not quite complete yet, but, um…” He clears his throat, shifting a little with anxious energy. “Oh, well, what the hay! C’mon down!” They gesture of them to follow to the basement door, having all but forgotten the hot water on the stove at this point.

“Not a fan of old things? That’s all right, you’ll like the basement, then…” he mutters casually as he reaches for the door handle. A brief pause, though, leaning against the door and turning to glance at the two girls over his shoulder. “A few ground rules…” Serious turquoise hues meet theirs, flickering between the two of them.

“Don’t touch, unless I give you express permission to do so.” A finger held up. “That means everything. The project itself and everything else down here. It’s all very…” A small gesture with their fingertips as they consider their words carefully. “Fragile. No, that- that’s not the word, but, um…I digress.” He clears his throat. “No running, no loud noises—if I tell you to do something, you do it. If I tell you not to do something, you stop doing it. Are we clear?” He gives pause, though not enough for an answer, before moving on with a hearty, “good!” A bright grin, eyes widening as he claps his hands together. He grabs the golden door handle again, turns it..

“Without further ado…” Yanking it open, he gestures toward the winding staircase that seeks to dip into a deep abyss. Brows furrow. He clears his throat as he leans into the darkness of the doorway for a moment. “Hold on…” A hand slapped against the wall and then theres a small flicker, a spark, then the sound of a generator kicking on and buzzing to life. Suddenly, small dots of light sparkle to life along the banister—fairy lights twisting down and down and down a winding metal staircase bringing a warm glow to the narrow passage. He smiles proudly, then gestures again for them to head in first.

“Après vous.”

Leo’s eyes widen to the size of saucers upon seeing the inside of Arlo’s home. It’s beautiful. The architecture is enough or her to start drooling over – every ornate carving of wood and out-of-style stretch of wallpaper has her stopping and staring. She barely registers the mess of mugs everywhere (until she almost sends on hurtling to the ground). She reaches out gently to touch the swirls of wood on the banister before nearly breaking her neck to whip her head around when Arlo speaks.

“What?” She narrows her eyes, having missed what they said entirely.

“What’s with all the clocks?” Elise asks as she pokes at one, jumping when it chimes.

“Elise!” Leo scolds. “Don’t touch!” Mostly because if it broke, it didn’t look like something she could afford to replace easily. “No, no worries about the mess.” A smile as she chooses to ignore the mess on the counters and his stack of dishes that’s screaming at her to clean it.

“I’d love to see what you’re working on.” She sort of pokes her nose at whatever’s sprawled out all over the table anyway. “If that’s okay, I don’t want us to impose.”

“I wanna see it.” Elise pokes at some more things that she probably shouldn’t be touching. “Everything in here is so old.” She sort of crinkles her nose at it, though she’s not trying to be rude. Just being an annoying teenager. “No wonder you and Leo are friends.”

“Hey!” Leo laughs. “Retro is totally in style.”

Tails and his Sonic (i'll call him Inventor Sonic from now on...) proper ref/design in my Sidekick Sonic AU finally!!!!! Theyre the braniacz everrrr, they create cool inventions together and share ideasss :D They wont stop talking nonsense, theyre going crazyyy (very unstopable)

Anyways. I mighttt wanna talk abt their personalities and stuff too:

After Tails met Inventor Sonic, he became more energetic and verry creative when it comes to inventions, smart lil fox. Other than inventing, he is also brave in battle fields since Sonic inspire him to do things out of his normal capabalities too. He used his two tails for good, he has no shame to have them now.

Inventor Sonic... pretty much the same as Tails. He is fitting the lil buddy's vibe and energy so Tails will never stop continuing his journey!!! Inventor Sonic does like sketching out concepts and ideas whenever he is bored... so Tails can have more ideas to invent!

National Forget-Me-Not Day & World Science Day for Peace and Development

Person A created a device that promotes world peace by making people forget the people who hurt them the deepest, but it’s currently in the early stages of development and they use it on their fiance/long term partner/spouse, Person B, who seems to be upset often, hoping to give them some peace from their turmoil. But what Person A didn’t expect was for Person B to forget them when the device is used. Now with Person B, the love of their life, not knowing who they are, Person A separates themself from Person B’s life, trying to keep their distance since they don’t know what they did to hurt the person they loved and doesn’t want to accidentally hurt them again. But Person B keeps subconsciously seeking out Person A.

open to anyone! plot: your muse is the parent/guardian/other of one of Mr. Arthur's students whom he has noticed struggling to learn/keep their grades up...he wants to propose tutoring lessons--even though the school explicitly told him not to...maybe their relationship develops from there one way or the other, seeing each other after school most days and Arlo slowly beginning to help in more ways than just tutoring because he's just that nice of a guy and very naive

"Your student is, well..." Arlo paused for a long moment, considering his words carefully. They didn't want this to sound as negative as they knew it probably would in the parent's eyes. THeir thumbs twiddled together in thought as they looked down at the desk between them. "How do I say this..." A clearing of the throat. "Not doing very well..." He frowned, then quickly scrambled to add, "Which is not something that we can't fix! I mean, um..." Another nervous clearing of his throat. He had never had to do this before, never had considered it an option really, but their child was working so hard and he felt bad watching them struggle so. How could he not intervene?

"Not that they need fixing, not that they're wrong or incompetent--I mean, did I say..? Look, your child is very, very smart, I can see it in their eyes! I can tell they work hard they might just need a little extra..." A wave of his hand as he considered his words. "Err...You know, a push in the right direction." He smiled and paired it with a reassuring nod. Leaning forward, he tapped his ringed fingers on the desk emphatically.

"But that's exactly why I've asked you here today! On such short notice, too, I really appreciate you coming..." He glanced at the clock a bit haphazardly, then looked back at them, flashing an anxious grin. A sigh.

"I was going to offer...Maybe...if you're interested. Instead of making them do extra credit, more work, all that hooplah that the school wants me to offer...How about I offer some tutoring classes after school instead? One on one, with me, of course. If they're comfortable. We can do it at your home or mine, whatever makes you most comfortable and would be most conducive to their learning environment. I'm very flexible and I don't need an answer right now, I just wanted to put my cards on the table."
