Not to brag, but I’m gonna brag: What might have sounded easy, was the hardest #sounddesign work I’ve done so far. From what I gathered, all the audio was recorded via two lavs attached to the two main actors. No mic on the waitress, no boom mic, no room tone delivery, no ADR, or any type of post recording, besides the music and my own creations. My job is also referred to as the silent art. I have to make it sound flawless, so that you can dive into the story, without weird, distracting noises. Basically, what sounds like silence is a result of a lot of layering, eq’ing and processing. I got frustrated and started over three times on this project.
