Whats new?
There are like a hundred thousand blogs on the internet covering all the aspects of a young IMG's transition to UK starting from IELTS, to PLAB examinations and all the way to GMC registration and getting a job in NHS. What is different in this blog? Well, this is not going to be a guide for newbie doctor, because obviously I am also a newbie when I am making this post. This blog will cover the first hand experiences of an international Medical graduate in UK. I will show the world and all the juniors who are interested in taking this route to UK, how is it actually like to be here. Anyways, I am not a blogger "blogger". So this blog will not be like contemporary blogs on internet. I will use the power of freedom of speech and expression and will try to picture the world according to my first person view. I wont be mad if you don't agree with me, but you know, this is my part of the world and I have full authority on it. :-p So please, bear with me. :-p Dr Taimoor Hameed Khan

Today's #fridaybytheway is a gentle reminder to our #internationalstudents that there is more to life than just hitting the books while you're studying abroad. . . We know sometimes it can be overwhelming to cope with mastering a new language on top of studying for a degree, which is why #extracurricularlife is so important and having friends and interests outside of school are essential to maintaining a well-rounded life. . . Do you have any tips on how to survive studying in your new home country? Any stories about #epicfails along your journey as an #internationalstudent? No one really tells you until it’s time to tell you that your window is closing... . When travelling with a professional degree, be sure to keep track of two things: 1) how recent your field experience is; and 2) how much time has lapsed since you got your degree or since you obtained your last professional license. . . You can manage your expectations much more easily when you know what to look out for. . . Did this tip help you? Leave your comments below and tag a friend who might find this helpful! . . . #internationalmedicalgraduate #internationalmedicalstudents #internationaldoctors #internationalnurses #internationallawyer #internationallawstudent #internationaleducation #internationalengineering #internationalnurse #medicine #law #nursing #engineering #alliedhealth #expatlife #expatproblems #expatprofessionals https://www.instagram.com/p/CAG0ZqxBsPj/?igshid=uat20dxyychf
