So when I do finish this book I am writing (speaking it into existence bc adhd is a BITCH) Like what's your experience with publishing? How much does it usually cost? What kinda income does one get? I don't really care about making money but it would be super neat to make something since I cannot work. How do taxes work on that also? Google is confusing me
So far i have an idea and half a first chapter with thrilling notes such as " add a cat" and "insert spell here"
So I self publish, so that's the world I know. If you want to find a traditional publisher, you'll need to query agents and do a bunch of other stuff. My only advice for traditional publishing is that when going that route, money should always flow towards the author. If they're asking you to pay for something, they aren't a traditional publisher and there's a good chance it's a grift.
So let's talk about what I do know.
(And this turned out to be long as hell, so I'm putting in a "keep reading")
When you self publish, you are effectively acting as the publisher. If you want someone to do edits? You'll have to hire an editor. If you want someone to do the book layouts? You'll have to hire someone to do it if you can't do it yourself. You need a cover? You get the idea.
Now I don't pay an editor, so I can't really give you a price range on how much they cost off the top of my head. I do know they can get expensive though.
I also do all my own interiors, but I have a graphic design background and have been doing print layouts for decades. If you want to hire someone to do the interiors, that can run you $100-500, so I recommend just... learning to do it yourself.
Frankly, it's not terribly hard. I do mine in Apple Pages on my Mac for my paperbacks and Amazon has a free program for formatting eBooks (which you can export both as the Kindle format OR the more universal ePub format). With your print version, you just want to make sure you get your margins right, along with using a standard font like Times New Roman.
Like, literally just pick up a book and study the layout. Look at the front matter (copyright page, title page, etc) of a handful of books and mimic what you find there. I don't know why so many self published authors get that bit wrong. It's a book. Format it like a book.
Now the cover... this is where you'll probably end up spending something. I do my own covers for my comics, but hire out for my novels because I can't do the kind of covers expected of my genre. And you do want to match your genre, because you want a potential reader to know what they're getting into. I've seen so many self published books with terrible covers and it drives me nuts.
Cover design can run you anywhere from $35-$400 depending on who you choose to contract, and this is where I recommend you spend your money. On the cheap end you have companies like GetCovers. Now they primarily do covers made from edited stock photos, and I've honestly been pretty satisfied with their work... but you have to hold their hand and be very clear with what you want.
GetCovers is a part of Mibl Group, and it's pretty much all of their most inexperienced employees. The whole point of it is to get them the experience to work on bigger projects down the road. They have cheaper packages, but for their best work you'll probably only spend like $35-$45. If you're working in a genre that mainly uses stock images, that's who you want.
I often end up retouching the covers they do though, because I'm impatient. Like there are edits to The Witch and the Rose and Shadowcasting I made after they handed me the completed files. You're going to have to be very specific with what you want. The first version of the Bloody Damn Rite cover they did... was awful. But they did the revisions I asked for, and the version they delivered in the end was great.
Now if you want, like, original art or just more complicated, custom stuff? You're looking at at least $250 on the cheap end, but sometimes you end up in the ballpark of $700-$1000. Like on their regular site (just to use the same company as GetCovers for comparison), the Mibl group charges like $300 for a more complicated stock photo based cover (that requires more complicated edits) and at least $700 for covers that require digital painting, 3d modeling, etc.
There are a wide range of prices depending on what you're asking for. But, y'know, you're paying that once for a commercial piece of graphic design.
I'm cheap and can do some of the work myself, so I go for the $35 cover. I also figure out what fonts they used for the covers, so I can go buy my own commercial license for them and replicate a similar logo on my title page. You don't need to do that bit, I'm just finicky.
Actually publishing the book is easy. You'll want to use a self publishing platform like Kindle Direct Publishing or IngramSpark (or, if you're like me, both). I sell KDP books on Amazon, but all other distribution is through IngramSpark. You make more money on Amazon by using KDP, but even though they offer distribution, no book store will ever order through them. So I turn that option off, and then I take the same book and I make it available through IngramSpark.
On amazon I make a little more than $2 on a $3 ebook, and about $4.00 on a $12.99 paperback. When a bookstore buys an IngramSpark version, I make about $2.50 on a $14.99 book (if you wondered by my books cost more when not buying it through Amazon... that's why). Now if you buy yourself author copies, they cost way less -- in the end I think I can get them for like $5 a book? So when I sell them in person, my margins are much higher.
But, y'know, you have to actually sell them.
Because that's the hard part. When self publishing, you only have you to market it. I don't know how many books I'd be selling if I didn't have a pre-existing audience -- and even then it's not a huge amount. I've sold about 200 books this year? Which isn't nothing, and I appreciate every single person who's purchased one of my titles, but it's obviously not enough to quit my day job for, y'know?
That said, I've known people who do sell enough to make a steady living. So it's possible for sure.
But it's not going to happen overnight, and it won't be easy.
As for taxes, you'll need a 1099 and do stuff with the Schedule C. I always forget exactly what until I'm actually doing them, but it's not super hard, just annoying.

1974 Pontiac Grand Ville
1974 Pontiac Grand Ville
1974 Pontiac Grand Ville
The Pontiac Grand Ville is a full-size car that was a sub-series trim package for the Pontiac Bonneville from 1971 to 1975, which had served as Pontiac's top-trim model since 1958 while remaining below the top level Pontiac Grand Prix
The Bonneville name remained but was now downgraded, and in effect replaced the Pontiac Executive. The Grand Ville and Bonneville shared a number of trim and design elements that distinguished them from the Catalina, and the 1971-72 Grand Villes were built on a stretched-wheelbase version of the GM "B" platform that nevertheless had identical interior dimensions to all other full-size Pontiacs.
In addition to more luxurious interior trimmings, the Grand Ville had distinctive chrome trim at the front and rear to set it apart from the rest of the Pontiac line. Between 1971 and 1974 Grand Ville hardtops featured more upright "formal" C-pillar and backlight treatments that were similar to those found on contemporary GM "C" platform cars (Oldsmobile Ninety Eight and Buick Electra) and not shared with the Bonneville or Catalina. For 1974 only, the Grand Ville had unique parking lights which wrapped around the corner of the front fender. The car was often sold with deluxe appearance options, such as sport wheels and vinyl tops. Rear fender skirts were featured on the 1973 to 1975 models.
Standard equipment on Grand Ville models included a 455 cubic-inch V8 (for 1975, a 400 cubic-inch V8 was standard and the 455 optional), Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission, power steering and power front disc brakes. Popular options included air conditioning, power windows and driver's seat, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, AM/FM stereo with tape deck and much more. One of the rarest options available on Grand Villes and other full-sized Pontiacs during this period was the adjustable brake and accelerator pedals offered from 1974 to 1976.
The Grand Ville enjoyed moderate success from 1971 to 1973. However, the oil crisis of late 1973 and early 1974 led to gasoline shortages, long lines at filling stations, and high fuel prices. These factors sharply cut into full-sized car sales in 1974 as buyers moved towards smaller cars. For 1975, the Grand Ville became the Grand Ville Brougham and included more standard equipment than in previous years, such as power windows and a carpeted trunk. This would be the final year for the Grand Ville series, which included Pontiac's last convertible until 1983. For 1976, the Grand Ville nameplate was dropped and the lineup was renamed Bonneville Brougham, returning that nameplate back to its former full-size top trim level status.
Grand Ville convertibles were rare, with production never exceeding 5,000 units per year during the model run. From 1973 to 1975 the Grand Ville was Pontiac's only full-size convertible offering; 1971 and 1972 full-size Pontiac convertibles were offered in the entry level Catalina line as well. (There were no convertible Bonnevilles after the 1970 model year.) The rarest of the Grand Ville convertibles was the 1971 model with just under 1,800 examples built. The 1975 model was the most plentiful with just over 4,500 cars built, as being the final year of production increased demand. The Grand Ville convertible had the lowest production amongst its corporate cousins, the Oldsmobile 88 Royale, Buick Centurion and the Chevrolet Caprice Classic convertible lines.
Starting with 1973 through 1975 the Grand Ville was offered as a station wagon as the Grand Safari.

Required Game Version: 1.42 Packs Needed: The Sims 3, Ambitions (roof, wallpaper, trees and door), Pets, Generations, Late Night, Seasons and Supernatural (animated curtains cc)
Hi everyone! I'm back with another build and this time it's a small house but it's a bit pricey for just two Sims. It's fully furnished and includes a space for a small garden on the side, which can alternatively be used as a car park if you prefer.
Click on the ’Keep Reading’ below for more information and pictures on this lot.
This lot has been play-tested, ensuring that all items are accessible within the limited space and function properly including the desk and shower.
However, I haven't tested the curtains yet and according to their description they are designed to close during the night. This feature mimics the Supernatural haunted paintings, which change from a calm picture to spooky at night. Based on the description, it should work with the base game but I can't guarantee the animation will work without the expansion pack. Just a heads up when you're downloading the CC.
📣Please note that the CC included in the lot are not included on the download file. I’ve compiled a list for those interested in downloading them separately (please click the links above or go to WCIF Navigation page) but those are not required and will be automatically replaced in the game. The Ambitions expansion packs is required due to the build items used in the lot as stated in the Details section above.
Let me know if you experience any problems on your end!

Lord, Give Me One More Chance
Chapter 1: Requiem
Rating: Mature
Relationships: Ivan (Alien Stage)/Till (Alien Stage), Ivan (Alien Stage) & Till (Alien Stage)
Chapter Warnings: Drug Abuse, Implied/References Non-Con, Graphic Depictions of Violence, Suicide Mentions
Chapter Summary: Till experiences an unusual chain of possibly unrelated events after the sixth round.
A/N: So, uhm, that Round 6 Behind The Scenes Patreon post, huh?
Anyway, give me your flower emojis below if you want to give that one design of Till in a black turtleneck + harness a big smooch and a fancy bouqet.
Read on AO3 / Prelude / Chapter 1 (you are here)
Till’s god died in the fifth round.
The last he had seen of her face was a beastly display of shrieks and torn Mercurian silk. Her long, lithe arms struck her fellow contestant, Luka of Guardian Heperu, hands clasping around his slim neck like a serpent’s jaw. She had beaten the man bloody. Sentinels dragged her and her wild tendrils of pink hair, kicking and screaming.
Then the stage was invaded. Amidst the red, flashing lights and blaring sirens, Mizi was taken out of the competition.
Ivan believed she was not dead. Till wasn’t nearly as certain. Heperu prayed she wasn’t— only so she could be brought back and have several holes burned into her skull, then have it screened live across the entire Virgo supercluster.
Regardless of her fate, something broke out of her skin that day. On the curated stage of a deceased segyein’s ossuary, something ripped its way out of her chest and left behind the dead skin of a depraved, grieving Mizi. Something too raw and too bloody to be worshiped.
Ivan knew it would not kill Till’s faith, but it was tested.
“No, no, I understand. As soon as the round is over, it’ll be off your shoulders. He can be very sweet, I promise, he’s just shy.” Ivan explained saccharinely over the phone. “Thank you. I wish you the best.”
His face fell as soon as he hung up.
Ever the opportunist, Ivan’s guardian sent him off to deliver gifts for Luka before he could make his way to Till’s containment chamber. Last he heard, Till’s hysteria was so loud he had to be collared, muzzled and accompanied by two sentries. If Ivan intended to keep his privileges, including his visits to Guardian Urak’s sector, he had to play his part.
And so, with his gloved hands clenching the package and flanked by two henchmen, he was driven to his guardian’s most sought-out business associate.
Guardian Heperu’s sector boasted a distinct luxury compared to Urak’s. Its expansive alabaster interior housed multiple floors exclusively adorned with trophies of diverse kinds. Ivan was greeted by a receptionist, who marveled at his absence of a collar. One polite smile and a compliment later, he was directed to the escalators.
Luka’s enclosure was at the top, a stunning cage of bone and glass. He was kept in a neo-Gothic chamber, with pointed arches and spinal columns holding up a dome of hazy glass panes. Ivan found him in a gazebo below the great oculus, propped up like a doll in a round, oversized bed and surrounded by cables and pale machinery. Against so much paleness, the bruises on his face can be seen from the entrance.
Ivan and his escort’s entrance was announced by an approving, tinkling sound when they crossed the doorstep. Their black attires broke the bleached monotony, capturing Luka’s and Heperu’s attention.
“If victory came at this price, I’d hesitate to congratulate you.”
Luka acknowledged his presence with a curious tilt of his moonlit head. He seemed otherworldly, as if he were never fully present in this world, the next, or any that followed—somewhere beyond reach.
Guardian Heperu stood by the bedside, his small mouth curling in displeasure. “Nonsense! All victories of the Alien Stage are bloody. This— this is—“ He vented all too eagerly, gesturing aimlessly at his prized possession, decorated with bruises instead of medals. “Absolute animosity. Unacceptable. Shine should be ashamed of herself.”
“All the more to perpetuate the true virtue of the victor,” Ivan said. “And all the victories to come.”
Heperu was pleased enough with his comfort before his bulbous, violet eyes were drawn to Ivan’s package. “You bring gifts?”
Ivan smiled cordially, then handed the steel box to one of his escorts so it could be carried to Heperu’s small, grabby fingers. He took off his white gloves, their purpose fulfilled now that the package was delivered without a trace of human contact.
“Guardian wishes Luka a speedy recovery. This is something you could use to keep yourself nourished and entertained before Luka’s next round. They’re the best on the planet.”
Heperu eagerly unlocked the box’s mechanism and peered inside. “Ah, Gara. Excellent, excellent! He knows how to sort his specimen well. I myself never had the patience.” He looked up at Ivan with a critical eye, and once again, seemed pleased with what he saw. “But you’ve turned out the finest I’ve ever seen. Are you certain you’re not homegrown?”
Ivan shook his head with a little laugh. “No. My qualities are my master’s.”
“Then your master has potential.” A bot was dispatched to take the package, so Heperu could fix the sleeves of his robe. His focus didn’t last long when his appearance demanded his attention. “Send him my regards, I cannot keep you here any longer. My child requires rest.”
Ivan bowed as he was shooed off by flicking gestures of Heperu’s hands.
“Poet.”
Luka’s need for oxygen was so desperate it sucked all breathable air out of the room. Ivan paused, and so did his escorts.
Mizi’s hand prints painted his neck a vicious pink. Heperu had the money to fix it before his next round, but until it was dealt with, it cracked Luka’s acclaimed baritone. “When should I be expecting your requiem?”
It was a better acknowledgement than his dull, absent-minded gestures— and a challenge. Ivan recognized it, and responded in kind, his shoulders squared.
“Soon.” He outstretched his hand in good will. “You won’t be disappointed.”
Instead of shaking it, Luka’s icy fingers took hold of his own. He pressed his lips against his knuckles, dried blood brushing against Ivan’s skin.
“I know,” he rasped, his blue lips stretching into a slow, sordid smile.
Ivan rarely believed in bad omens, but when he left the sector, he made sure to ask for wet wipes instead of contaminating his suit.
Till’s god died in the fifth round. The last he had seen of her face was when tin-cans gathered to keep her on her scratched knees and pointed a rifle at the back of her head.
Her dress was torn. Her fists sore. Mizi’s face was a twisted, alien grimace that showed the strained wrinkle of her skin and the vicious cut of her brow. Seeing her bathed in red lights made him think of Anakt flowers in full bloom, and it was terrifying. Till was terrified. Despite the distance, he could see it clear as day— he drew her jaw wrong. Not only the jaw, but the lips, too. The teeth. The eyes.
Ivan was right.
She was gone. Gone. Gone.
And Till was left all alone as a finalist, which called for celebration.
Urak rented a VIP lounge to a group of gold diggers. They lifted him up on a pedestal to sing them his woes. Till didn’t— sing his woes, that is. He sang whatever came on screen. They asked for Black Sorrow five times in a row. The most recent addition, Cure, seven. A mogul with two planets under his belt, whose name Till remembered only because of how it was growled against his neck, mentioned how he had more flavor than the previous reigning champion and the brand ambassador combined. Till barely processed that he was talking about Ivan, too.
Brand ambassador. Child protege. Model. Musical powerhouse. Titles spat at his face like he was supposed to know what it meant. Like he was supposed to know who Ivan was.
Ivan was.
He was.
That was it. He was; no longer is. What is— is a drenched corpse. Dried and cleaned. Displayed in a museum or hidden in the back of his owner’s freezer, right next to some bougie extract or segyein champagne. He was too expensive to be dumped. What is— is the white coat that Urak let him keep.
Urak’s associates laughed at his fortune, their spittle on his face, and pushed blue pills into his hands. No, it was the spindly one. The one on his neck. Karlak. He was no longer a mere pet, he said. Now, he could party like a segyein.
A dead part of Till, the one with the collar, would’ve told him to go fuck himself on a pike.
What remained of Till, the unshackled one, downed it like it was candy.
And it was easier—so much easier—when he was another famous acid freak, puppeteered by the bourgeoisie. Everybody could have a piece of him, the old money dickwads and the nouveau riche. Till was spun around, weightless, and brought back to the stage, where he sang and swayed for them. Even out of his mind, they thought he sounded like a fucking angel.
Till grunted, his pulsing temple pressed hard against the mic while he waited for the chorus, grasping ecstasy before it slipped through his fingers, like the blood, like the rain—
Ivan is— was— is—
Till’s voice cried out the lyrics and the room boomed. Thunder and lightning. Blazing trails streaking the sky.
Twisted freak. Snaggletoothed bastard. Handsome corpse.
Till knew the shape of his fist better than he knew him. He knew his dead-eyed gaze and the fake quirk of his lips, and the swathe of his pale skin plastered across every holographic billboard. Of course he wasn’t scared of dying. He was immortalized on every commercial Till came across. It would take weeks to wipe his image from public conscious. It would take centuries to wipe him from Till’s.
He walked off the stage and draped himself across some segyein’s lap, who offered him a shot and a pat on the back. Their claw ran through his sweat-soaked hair. In return, Till bore his neck to the room, and the room marveled, its walls sodden with blood and gold. The music smelled like booze, and Till could see cigarette smoke wafting in cloudy patterns above his head. His jaw parted so it could drip down his throat, his tongue curling for a taste, only to be greeted with nothing.
Bored, he stumbled to the stage and sang three more songs. Then he went back.
He tripped on something, and when he rotated, stumbling, he realized it was a comet-white corpse. Till went around it, and fell back onto a table with shatter-screams in his wake. White-hot light burned his eyeballs. He nearly thought they strapped him to a table to poke his skin again, until a spiked shell loomed from above and pincers clacked above his beloved neck. Something roamed across his chest, but Till’s limbs were made of rubber. His head lolled back over the edge of the table, and he flinched at how the room spun. Vertigo struck him. Curtains of pink hair covered the door of the lounge. A tall, anthropomorphic form phased through.
Somewhere between staring at all the unimaginable redness of everything and licking his incisors, a jagged sound crawled out of his throat. “Dead meat,” he laughed, “you’re all dead fucking meat.”
And then— a shatter.
The lounge stopped pulsing.
Groaning in effort, Till tilted his head upwards. Blood-soaked forms of segyein shifted around, and somewhere in the background, he could hear Ivan halfway through the second verse of Cure. Till’s head lolled around Karlak’s pincers to see what all the fuss was about, and was promptly disappointed. A tin-man. The same kind of one-eyed tin-man that dragged Mizi off stage and nearly shot her in the back of her pretty head. He could hear gargling sounds and some warbles. He didn’t know that tin-men could talk.
Its metal head swiveled to face Karlak’s hot-white eyes. Till watched as it stepped forward and raised its arm to—
—shoot Karlak’s skull clean through.
Till’s eyes blinked through the spray of violet fluids. Karlak’s decapitated body slid off him, rolled over and hit the ground with a hard thump, soft belly facing the ceiling.
Another deafening shatter rang out. Till watched with bloodshot eyes at the result. Colors. Colors spraying the walls. Blues and greens and yellows.
A massive indigo form screeched and stormed across the lounge, knocking over sofas. The tin-man blew a clean shot through one of their kneecaps, then another through their chest as soon as they collapsed. Their body skidded to a stop at the sentry’s feet. The room suddenly exploded with glorious, saturated colors, and Till’s hand violently twitched with inspiration.
The rest of the segyein scrambled to the door, clawing at the keypad in hopes of getting it open. One was dragged by the back of its uniform, smacked with the butt of a gun before its head was raised above the edge of a table— splat. Yellow. Its skull was battered once, twice, thrice in continuous splatters of neon liquids and marrow.
It continued. It squashed, punctured and melted forms like sculpting art. Till couldn’t bring himself to move. The show was too fucking good to be true. It only got better when the upholstery caught fire. That— that was when he started cackling.
This was his life. Nothing else could surmise it better: Till splayed out on a coffee table in a blazing VIP lounge, laughing like a maniac while a mad sentry masacred segyein to the sound of Ivan’s requiem.
He had to pause to take a breath and close his damp eyelids. His head was throbbing. When he opened his eyes again, the firey silhouette of the tin-man came into focus, bleeding black out of the gap in its left shoulder.
Then and there, in the center of chaos, was Till. Then and there, haloed by licks of flame, was the cold, red orb of the sentry’s optic.
A broad hand floated towards him, its fingers spreading to close his eyelids.
Till allowed it. He smiled for the cameras.
His body slumped backwards, falling into the familiar comfort of a black abyss.
He heard murmurs of rain. The wind’s whistle followed his descent.
Lower, and lower, and lower.
…
But the spotlight followed him, spearing the darkness to catch Till for one last show—
And Till had no other choice but to open his eyes to a pure, bone-white ceiling.
He screamed.
His hands flew up to claw his eyes out. To block the light. To fight it. To shut it off. Shut it off. He whined through ten minutes worth of mind-numbing agony before his pupils adjusted to the light.
It was a pain to look at, but Till could discern shapes. A ceiling, walls, furniture, floors. A pale figure perched on an old-fashioned, alabaster chair beyond the foot of his bed.
Till recognized him. It was the lab-grown showpony; the other finalist.
The bleached blonde ghoul sat with his legs up on the edge of the seat, his chin resting on his knees while he spun colorful sections of a cube-shaped puzzle. He was mumbling something into his knees.
Till felt something on his face twitch.
“Hey.”
Silence.
Till growled harder, “Hey.”
The ghoul’s, the other finalist’s, eyes snapped upwards.
Gracefully, he hopped off the chair, his white nightgown flowing as he walked, glided, to Till’s bed.
“Where—“
In one smooth motion, he laid his palm down and lifted his legs up onto the sheets, hopping into the bed right beside Till’s frozen body. He leaned in close and personal. Thick, pale lashes brushed against his bloodless cheeks. Up close, there was too many wrong things to consider him human. It was Ivan, but worse. It was manufactured humanity, copy-pasted until it was mere parody of the source material.
“Who did you see?” He asked in a curious, lilting tone.
“What?”
“Not what,” the ghoul sighed and that, too, was musical. “Who?”
Till’s gaze skittered to anything except his murky, champagne eyes. “Flowers, rainbows and dancing corpses. T’was a death parade and I was the only guy alive. Dunno. I was tripping.”
He stared for a solid five seconds before his gaze glazed over, and his mind went fuck-knows-where. Till forced himself to clench his teeth through it, and waited. The competitor rolled his neck. His blue fingertips tapped absentmindedly against Till’s new collar.
He didn’t tell him anything. He sat, he thought, then his lips pursed in a delicate, peeved motion before he slid off the sheets, barely leaving a wrinkle. Till couldn’t even form a sentence before he slipped out of the room with his cube puzzle.
And left him alone with the sentry posted beside the door.
Till released a long, painstaking groan. Nothing was making sense. Urak’s shindig was a blur of colors that still made him crave paint and paper. He assumed he spent his night comatose. The reality of his visions was too questionable to be considered reliable. In which case, why did the ghoul ask him about it? What was he asking him about?
Till’s gaze was drawn to the sentry. It barely differed from the one he saw that night. Same height, same white plating, same optic. Different optic color, indigo; two arms, both intact; and a less robust frame. It didn’t make it look any less capable of snapping a human in half.
Generally, they can’t talk.
“Hey. Tin-can,” Till nodded at it. Its head calmly shifted his way. “Where am I?”
“Heperu’s sector.”
Its voice was smooth and modulated, like a filtered human voice. The organic nature of it sent shivers down his spine.
“Why? Urak lost a bet?”
“Urak has been fatally injured in a surprise attack by the Human Resistance Forces.” It explained in an unnervingly calm tone. “Ten investors were murdered on his property, half of which was lost to bombing.”
Till’s silence was long and heavy.
His head hit the bed frame. The canopy above his bed was so clean and pristine it made him want to climb up and smash it open.
“How— how long is it gonna take him to recover?”
“A month at least. Guardian Heperu volunteered to keep you until his recovery.”
A month. A whole month.
Till couldn’t tell whether he should laugh or cry or both.
Something bunched up in his throat. He swallowed it down and inspected the room. It was so white he could’ve been in a medical facility, and yet, the hue signified more age and less disinfectant.
The size of it, the segyein calligraphy carved into the ivory pillars; the massive, pointed window showing off a view of the two moons circling their host planet; his canopy bed with white chiffon sheets and pointed arches— it was night and day compared to the kitschy indulgences of Urak’s newly attained riches.
This room had none of that. This room had history. It was old money, through and through.
“Is this—“ Till’s arm vaguely gestured at the room, “—mine?”
“This is your enclosure.” The sentry nodded, then gestured at the wardrobe opposite of his bed, an ornate capsule with rib-like engravings. “You can find some of your belongings here, although some of it was damaged in the fire.”
“You come with the package or what?”
“I was assigned to be your escort and bodyguard until the winner of the fiftieth Alien Stage is declared.” The sentry placed its hand atop the holster on its hip. “There is reason to believe that HRF will make attempts on the contestants’ lives in order to sabotage the competition.”
Gingerly, and with far less grace, Till slid out of the bed. He was barefoot, and the tiles were cold and worn under his soles as he made his way towards the capsule. He didn’t know how they knew what his belongings were. Till had never owned much in the first place.
The wardrobe clicked open. The contents made his face morph into a pained expression.
The sentry was right; it was all his. The sketchbook, a stack of papers clamped together with staples, tape and sheer force of will; the two pencils and a pen, one used to vandalize his first page with Ivan’s clean, blocky signature; a slightly singed recorder; and the coat.
Till’s fingers reached for it. The edges of its coattails were heavily singed. The three holes, rusted over with blood, were still there.
He clenched his teeth, shoved the damn thing back inside and slammed the wardrobe closed.
Till had nothing and nobody. No believers, no gods. And yet, Ivan’s death made him impervious to wasting his life out of spite. He couldn’t do it by overdosing. He couldn’t do it by giving in to a HRF fighter’s gun. His fate was in the hands of Alien Stage— again, and forevermore.
There was no other route of escape except one: a demonstration. Win and kill the overpriced pet or die by gunfire, or whatever the tin-cans decide to do after he slaughters the fan favorite.
He pivoted, then made a beeline towards the door with his heels stamping prints on the fancy floor. “Tin-can, show me around.”
The sentry perked up. “It is recommended for you to rest one more day.”
“Can’t,” Till said grimly. “I need to write a requiem.”
The sentry didn’t respond immediately. Its indigo optic flickered. It stared through him, beyond him. Till thought it would block the way, until it smoothly stepped aside, and grandiosely gestured at the door. It spoke like he was more than a mangled thing covered in weary flesh.
“As you wish.”

Holy! 🫣🤯😳
I didn't expect to start a chain reaction, lmao. I am glad to share tad bit of my headcanons, and even more glad that the other anon enjoy it. I am happy to feed the 30 Jojolion fans out there.
We've been starved of content for a while (from video games like: Asbr where only WoU and Josuke (whose moveset is quite outdated) are available for part 8 cast (unfortunately our grumpy and lovable plant appraiser, Kei, Josefumi, and Kira are not available *Big Sad*) to yandere content right here. Anyways, here’s part 2 of my blurb. Enjoy it. To the other anon; please don't come after me ;;
~~~
“One package of chocolate chips cookies and those Milky way sweetrolls, if you would please.” Mitsuba mused, pointing her manicured to the dessert hidden behind the glass panes.
“Right away, Ma’am. Anything else?”You asked calmly, as you complied to her request. The dark haired model noticed something peculiar about you; You were dressed in dark navy blue dress suit reminiscent of galaxy, a silver blazer on-top of it, dark pants, and a dark shoes with silver botanical design. Overall, your motifs resembled the moon. Which made sense, seeing the brand of your bakery.
Yet, it was your necklace that garnered her attention. It was similar to that of her husband. It was a two piece necklace, she deduced. Yours was the crescent, ever so reservered and wise. While Jobin’s was that of the glazing sun, ever so energetic and on the go. Perhaps.. Perhaps you were the friend he always referred to with fondness and nostalgia.
Not only him, but Mr. Higashikita and Mrs. Higashikita as well. Mitsuba doubt that was the case, the probability you are the same person is undeniably low. Since the friend that Jobin spoke off has been gone for nearly 22 years ago.
Regardless, she admired the way that you handled your bakery. From the calming and beautiful interiors and atmosphere (with music; ranging from Classical to Country, to Rock), to the freshly made and unique pastries, and the decently priced products and offers. Buying three packages of any product, can guarantee you another free of price. No wonder her friends raved about this place.
She could observe you, as you handled her order with absolute meticulousness and care. Your hands were gloved, as you gently knead the dough. Once the dough was ready to rise, you punched it down and let it roll. Followed by you filling the inside of dough with vanilla (with added sugar) to resemble the stars of the milky way.
Then started rolling the filled dough again into jelly roll style, followed by you painting the outside layer of the roll with dark blue and purple coloring so it resembles a galaxy. Soon after, you have set the pastry inside the oven. While the sweetroll finishes, you have handled the cookies.
Mistuba was rather impressed by your work ethics. Instead of giving her a ready to go (probably soggy) cookies and sweet rolls, you went out of your ways to make it fresh yourself with the help of your co-workers. Not only that, but she was given a free tea as her order is being done. Mhm~ Weren’t you a clever business person? She might consider become a normal patron, if this continues.
It took about 40 minutes, for her order to be processed. 15 minutes for the sweet rolls to turn golden brown, another 15 for the cookies, and 10 minutes to package it neatly and properly. With a card on top of it; “May your happiness and prosperity be as vast as the endless universe ~✨”
“Here you go, miss. I apologise if we were late. Please, enjoy.” You spoke with a nervous smile at your face. Waiting for one of your favourite models to respond. You could feel your heart tremor, as you remembered the saying “Never meet your heroes”, but that vanished as a smile appeared on the lady’s face.
“No need to apologise, if anything… I expected to wait more, and not to mention the stellar hospitality. I could probably wait more.. However, I have quite few questions before I leave? Mind if you answer it for me?” Mitsuba mused, finishing her green chai.
“By all means, Miss. Any question you have, I’ll answer it to the best of my capabilities.” You responded back feeling the heavy weight of disappointing a customer, as influential as Mitsuba, is slowly withering.
“Good. Good. What’s your name?” Mitsuba inquired, curiosity eating her mind. There’s something familiar of you, yet she couldn’t put her finger on it. As if she has seen you somewhere. She tried to chuck it as irrational feeling, after all this is her first meeting with you. Or was it?
She remembers seeing a photo of a young Jobin —about six years old— and another child dressed as bettles and were enjoying theirselves with Kaato laughing together with another older woman. The photo was in the Higashikita’s family photo-book.
“My name is (Y/n) (L/n), I do hope that suffices.” You chuckled, unaware of the woman’s eye widening in surprise. You have the exact name as the child. She must bring Jobin, maybe he can recognise you. She doesn't want to rush in mistaking you for someone else, but it isn't a coincidence that you share the same name with Jobin’s childhood friends.
“Is something wrong, miss?”You questioned in concern.
“No. No. Not all, haha. Please don't trouble yourself.” That all she said, before fleeing the establishment and leaving a positive feedback on the questionnaire regarding customer service and the bakery in general. Which left you pretty confused.
‘Huh? What was that all about?’
(2/?)
—-
Okay, bettle boy didn't appear because I want to world build a little bit regarding darling’s bakery and tad bit of relationship with Mitsuba’s and drop a few lore along the way. Darling has a long history with the Higashikita. Did she forgot them? Did something happen to reader that made them forget about them? To be continued *Insert Roundabout here.*
—JJL 🫧
Once again some really good stuff going on here, I like the additional details with Mitsuba, it adds some extra immersion that makes me want to keep reading!
Plymouth GTX Concept (1 of 1)
This is the only 1972 Plymouth GTX you’re ever likely to see because it’s the only one that was made. And it wasn’t made by Plymouth, it was made by Gary and Pam Beineke using formerly top secret images from the Chrysler archives. The Plymouth GTX is a muscle car that was produced by the Plymouth division of Chrysler Corporation from 1967 to 1971. It was introduced as a high-performance version of the popular Plymouth Belvedere and was marketed as a “gentleman’s muscle car” with good performance, but with a more luxurious interior and smoother ride than some of its more hard-edged counterparts. When it was introduced the GTX was available in two-door hardtop and convertible body styles and was powered by a 440 cubic inch V8 engine that produced 375 horsepower. It also featured heavy-duty suspension, power brakes, and a floor-mounted four-speed manual transmission as standard equipment.In 1968, the GTX received a facelift and a new optional engine – the legendary 426 cubic inch Hemi V8 that produced 425 horsepower. The Hemi was claimed to be the most powerful engine available in any American production car at the time, and it gave the GTX serious street cred among muscle car enthusiasts.Over the next few years, the GTX continued to evolve with various engine and styling updates. In 1969, the car received a new front-end design and a new optional engine – the 440 Six Pack, which featured three two-barrel carburetors and produced 390 horsepower.In 1970, the GTX received a completely new body style and a revised engine lineup that included the 440 Six Pack and the 426 Hemi, which was now rated at 425 horsepower.
Sadly by the early-1970s it became clear that the muscle car era was coming to an end, and by 1971, rising insurance rates and tightening emissions regulations had taken their toll on the high-performance car market in the United States.
For 1972 the GTX name was relegated to what was essentially only an option package, called the Road Runner GTX. Any Road Runner that was ordered with the 440 V8 received Road Runner GTX badging, and this continued until the model was phased out in 1974, in the dark shadows of the 1973 Oil Crisis.
There were rumors of a potential comeback for the GTX in the late 1990s however a production car never materialized.
The car you see here is the only one of its kind in the world, it’s a 1972 Plymouth GTX but as mentioned further up, it wasn’t actually built by the Chrysler Corporation. Each year the husband and wife team of Gary and Pam Beineke build one car. And not just any car, but a car that previously existed only in the Chrysler archives. They find original drawings and images of planned models that never made it into production, and then they painstakingly build the car themselves. Interestingly this work isn’t their full time job. Gary is an attorney and a registered contractor, and Pam is a registered nurse who works in the operating room. They call the series of cars that they have built “What If’s” – and they do it all on nights and weekends while holding down full time jobs.
The couple first came across the planned 1972 Plymouth GTX when looking over the uncovered archive items discovered by Steve Juliano. This car was designed by John Herlitz and it was far from just a stying exercise, multiple full scale models were made and it did seem for a time as though it would be the successor to the 1971 Plymouth GTX.
Sadly it was not to be. The perfect storm of increasing emissions restrictions and crash safety regulation combined with soaring insurance premiums on muscle cars resulted in demand dropping significantly by the early 1970s.By the time of the 1973 Oil Crisis, with its sky high gasoline prices, automakers were already focusing on smaller and more fuel efficient vehicles. The GTX name did live on for a short time, as part of the aforementioned Road Runner GTX package on 440 V8 equipped cars, but it was killed off as a free standing model after 1971.
Gary and Pam Beineke took it upon themselves to right this wrong. They sourced a 1971 Road Runner and set to work creating the car that Herlitz had designed all those years ago in the late 1960s. They poured over the images of the long destroyed models, and they were able to discuss their work with Herlitz her offered them guidance on what the production ’72 GTX would have looked like.
Bella Brand: Bella Park 001
Published: 11-7-2023 | Updated: N/A SUMMARY “Inspired by the wealth of Bella Goth lore from the Sims/SimCity franchises (aka the “simsverse”), the Bella Brand Series includes more than a dozen sets and 230+ new business-themed items. Lore suggests that the wealth/influence of the Gilman, Crumplebottom, Bachelor, and Goth families increases considerably under Mortimer and Bella Goth, especially the latter. So, this series imagines what a prestigious Bella-based brand might look like…” Introducing Bella Park, the Bella Brand’s youth and young adult line of apparel and cosmetics. There is something for every sim, from casual, sporty daytime looks to comfy pj’s and sleepwear! In addition to neon signs, this set includes an “adjustable” display rack. To hang clothing on the adjustable rack, shift the clothing into place until it hangs properly on one of the bars. Apply the invisible recolor to the other, unused bar. Designed to be played with the Add-ons for TS2 Lingerie Set – Bella Park set (Somedaythesun, 2023).
DETAILS Requires ALL EPs/SPs. You need Mesh Set 001 (Simmons, 2023) and the Display Counter (BellasSecret_Counter_Somedaythesun)from the TS2 Maxis Match Lingerie Store Set (SomedayTheSun, 2023) – these items are required for all textures to display in-game. The counter uses recolors from the Bosenklavier Model B grand piano (Bon Voyage EP). Find recolors for the counter interior in the Bella Brand: Retail Floor Set (Simmons, 2023). Recolors may include swatches for items in other Bella Brand sets such as signs, packages, cosmetics, etc. Objects in Sims 2 are limited to two recolorable parts, so not all items are recolorable in the same way. Find additional recolors for Bella Brand sets on this site under #ts2recolors, #co2recolors, and #co2bellabrand.
Functional Apparel Objects Apparel objects are debug items and show up as “clothing pile” in the catalog (Misc > Dressers). They must be placed on one of the DEBUG displays/shelves or they’ll float. Once purchased, take them out of the sim’s inventory and choose from one of the following:
Purchase Clothing. Select an outfit (or several) of any type. Each apparel object is worth §100 towards the TOTAL cost. Sims save more money (and your businesses make more money) if they use one apparel object per new outfit. Sell. Recycle the object for §100 simoleons. If you exit the Buy Clothing window without adding anything to your shopping cart, §100 will be added to the sim’s household funds instead. Apparel objects are worth §100 regardless of how much sims pay for them on OFB/community lots. Pricing an item below this amount can function like a discount sale (i.e., pay $75 in-store and §100 towards the purchase or a 25% “discount/rebate.” You can decide whether this counts as cheating). Pricing it above this amount is not recommended since sims will end up losing extra money. Debug objects have slots which “catch” fellow clones if you place them too close. To prevent this when trying to clutter them close together, turn “snap objects to grid” OFF and “move objects” OFF.
1958 chevrolet bel air impala convertible
History, The Impala name was first used for the full-sized 1956 General Motors Motorama show car that bore Corvette-like design cues, especially the grille. It was named Impala after the graceful African antelope, and this animal became the car's logo. Painted emerald green metallic, with a white interior, the Impala concept car featured hardtop styling. Clare MacKichan's design team, along with designers from Pontiac, started to establish basic packaging and dimensions for their shared 1958 General Motors "A" body in June. The first styling sketch that would directly influence the finished Chevrolet automobile was seen by General Motors Styling vice president Harley Earlin October. Seven months later, the basic design was developed.
For its debut in 1958, the Impala was distinguished from other models by its symmetrical triple taillights. The Chevrolet Caprice was introduced as a top-line Impala Sport Sedan for model year 1965, later becoming a separate series positioned above the Impala in 1966, which, in turn, remained above the Chevrolet Bel Air and the Chevrolet Biscayne. The Impala continued as Chevrolet's most popular full-size model through the mid-1980s. Between 1994 and 1996, the Impala was revised as a 5.7-liter V8–powered version of the Chevrolet Caprice Classicsedan.
First generation (1958)
1For 1958, GM was promoting their fiftieth year of production, and introduced anniversary models for each brand; Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Chevrolet. The 1958 models shared a common appearance on the top models for each brand; Cadillac Eldorado Seville, Buick Roadmaster Riviera, Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday, Pontiac Bonneville Catalina, and the #Chevrolet Bel-Air #Impala.
The Impala was introduced for the 1958 model year as top of the line Bel Air hardtops and convertibles. From the windshield pillar rearward, the 1958 Bel Air Impala differed structurally from the lower-priced Chevrolet models. Hardtops had a slightly shorter greenhouse and longer rear deck. The wheelbase of the Impala was longer than the lower priced models, although the overall length was identical. Interiors held a two-spoke steering wheel and color-keyed door panels with brushed aluminum trim. No other series included a convertible.
The 1958 Chevrolet models were longer, lower, and wider than its predecessors.The 1958 model year was the first with dual headlamps. The tailfins of the 1957 were replaced by deeply sculptured rear fenders. Impalas had three taillights each side, while lesser models had two and wagons just one. The Impalas included crossed-flag insignias above the side moldings, as well as bright rocker moldings and dummy rear-fender scoops.
The standard perimeter-type frame was abandoned, replaced by a unit with rails laid out in the form of an elongated "X." Chevrolet claimed that the new frame offered increased torsional rigidity and allowed for a lower placement of the passenger compartment. This was a transitional step between traditional construction and the later fully unitized body/chassis, the body structure was strengthened in the rocker panels and firewall.However, this frame was not as effective in protecting the interior structure in a side impact crash, as a traditional perimeter frame.
A coil spring suspension replaced the previous year's rear leaf springs, and an air ride system was optional. A 283 cu in (4,640 cc) engine was the standard V8, with ratings that ranged from 185 to 290 horsepower. A "W" block (not to be confused with the big-block) 348 cu in (5,700 cc) Turbo-Thrust V8 was optional, producing 250 hp (190 kW), 280 hp (210 kW), or 315 hp (235 kW). The Ramjet fuel injection was available as an option for the Turbo-Fire 283 V8, not popular in 1958.
A total of 55,989 Impala convertibles and 125,480 coupes were built representing 15 percent of Chevrolet production. The 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air Impala helped Chevrolet regain the number one production spot in this recession year.
Hi all! I just realized that most of my builds so far has been community lots and this time I'm back with another one. I find it easier to build community lots and always had fun in creating a bunch of custom rabbit holes for my Sims.
Click on the Keep Reading below for more information and pictures on this lot.
Anyways, this lot is a Salon from The Sims 3 Ambitions but I leaned more towards a Creative Hub instead. Here, you'll find a Tattoo Parlor for the The Ink-in-Comfort 3000, a couture store for the Fuss No muss Styling Station, an interior design business for the The Drafting Table by Scuzzmarr Industries and a small café for a hungry Sim.
I only placed one item for each of the objects I mentioned to avoid unnecessary spawning of service/homeless Sims in your game. There is space for more of those if you'd like; you just need to move things a bit to make it fit.
There is one piece of store content and one CC as well, for which I have provided a link in the Details section above. These items are not included in the download, nor are they required and are mostly décor which will automatically be replaced in your game if you choose not to include them.
The Ambitions expansion pack is required for the Salon lot to work in your game. This lot has been play-tested and I’ve used it in a few of my saved games. Let me know if you experience any problems on your end.
hi!!! hi hi!!! do you have the images for your dream puzzles custom cassette on hand (if you did print it) O_O? i like making custom cassettes too, and i'd love to use your images for one for 3d virtual buddies if you'd be okay with that!!! :-)
yes i do :] under the cut are ready-to-print pngs but if you want to customize anything here are .kra and .psd files with the layers intact. the krita version is strongly recommended because i know it has the right layer blending modes, the .psd Should still work for the most part but if you're using a different program it might not have the correct layer mode options (i like using some wacky stuff like implication and xor which i know for instance gimp doesn't have.)
not included here are the sale price $1.00 tag and the happy face sticker because those are real stickers from the real world, you will have to source your own. also i would highly recommend using an xacto or something to cut holes for the spindles on your cassette case of choice, i had intended to use a hole punch on mine but none of the like three or four hole punches at my partner's house had a long enough reach so i ended up just stabbing the spindles through the paper like an animal which is why it looks kind of janked there. but we stay silly.
the way i did this is to line up both these images so they share one long side so they fit on a normal 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper, then once printed i folded it up using the handle of a butter knife as a bone & scotch taped the other edges together.
i didn't take process pics but hopefully this explains it. in my opinion this is probably the best way to do it besides printing it double-sided to begin with (which i can't do on my printer bc the photo paper has to go through the rear tray) because you don't have to glue anything. glue gets wrinkly and gross even if you're really really careful with it. scotch tape #1 forever. speaking of paper i printed these on some matte photo paper i found in my craft room out of the package so i don't know what its official Paper Stats are but i doubt there's anything that would really mess up the picture unless your printer is evil (not impossible.) the folding panel makes it a liiiittle thick for the case but i managed to squeeze it in there. if you go without the extra panel and just do a normal C card, which you may want to do if you're only doing 3DVB and not also HIRF, i think it will be no prablem.
the side labels are designed for avery 5198 templates with some generous overbleed but even then it is hard to line them up perfectly. i tried scanning the sticker sheet in with some pen markings to try and get it exactly on but even then they were still off. just give it your best shot i guess.
all the graphics are taken from the dreampuzzles twitter & website (except for the background of the exterior side flap & interior panels which are just processed versions of random pics i had on my computer lol) , i've been considering making a lyric booklet to go along with this and that will probably have some original fanart which i will release free 2 download, etc.
THANK YOU so much for the message, i think this is a really fun hobby and i hope more people get into it. it's so awesome to have a homemade physical copy of your favorite music especially if it's a custom mixtape or the artist doesn't have official physical releases. ummm i took a really long walk today and i'm very tired so i shan't pontificate any more on how cool cassettes are, enjoy the images ^_^
Nike Reveals Coach Prime's Redesigned Air DT Max '96
In the realm of NCAA Football, few headlines garnered as much attention last season as the appointment of Deion Sanders as head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes. The onset of his tenure proved nothing short of remarkable, transforming a team that had previously secured only one victory the prior season into a ranked contender by week 4, boasting a formidable 3-0 start. Preceding the season's commencement, reports surfaced of Sanders renewing his alliance with Nike (NYSE:NKE +0.52%), thereby reviving a longstanding partnership instrumental in birthing one of the Swoosh's most revered training series — the Diamond Turf line.
Following the tantalizing previews of exclusive "PRIMES" inspired by the original Air DT Max '96 in September, anticipation mounts as this iconic silhouette prepares to reemerge. Recently disclosed by Nike, the Air DT Max '96 returns in its classic white, black, and gold color scheme, reminiscent of its last appearance in 2018, albeit with subtle enhancements. Notable among these updates is the addition of a "PRIME" embellishment adorning the heel tab, while the packaging, potentially exclusive to friends and family, showcases the same "PRIME" motif externally, coupled with one of Sanders' memorable quotes on the interior.
As of this writing, specific release details regarding the resurgence of Deion Sanders' Nike Air DT Max '96 remain undisclosed by Coach Prime and Nike. Enthusiasts are advised to remain vigilant for forthcoming updates, as the eagerly anticipated design is expected to hit shelves once again later this year, available via Nike SNKRS and select retailers, priced starting at $170 USD. For an exclusive glimpse of the aforementioned packaging, an unboxing of the pair is provided below.
