“You’re lucky you made it here when you did—this place doesn’t show up on many maps, and we don’t get folks who stop for long.” She nodded toward the horizon, where the downpour had all but swallowed up the view. "Well, I don't recommend running out there now, but hopefully there will be a break sometime tonight. Hopefully the couch out here will do for now." She gestured over toward the small seating area in the lobby. It wasn't much, just an old three seater couch, and a small coffee table that held magazines a few years out of date, and even though they didn't get cable, there were a few shows to flip through that could maybe provide some sort of entertainment. "My parents own it actually. I just... keep the place up and running. It's not much, but we have a few regulars that like to stop here anytime they're passing through the canyon." Vivian leaned against the reception desk, a small smile still touching her lips. "But what about you? Do you plan on staying long? There's a few great spots in the canyon and some really gorgeous hikes to check out, if that's your thing. Also a diner just off the next exit, a little ways into town. They have some really great elk burgers. — Speaking of, you hungry? Can I get you anything?"

"great, thanks!" slipping into his place with a sort of well practiced familiarity, noemia offered a small and grateful smile. she did her best to keep the smile there and not let on to the fact she was upset and that was what had brought her here. at this point, hunter probably already knew. "were you up to anything...?" she asked, glancing over her shoulder at him, "i didn't interrupt, did i?"

She should have been more concerned with what was happening to her and who was doing it but she didn’t seem to care too much, after all, he’d already started and it felt really good. “I can see that.” She murmured, her hand moving to tangle in his hair. “It feels good.” She admitted, letting her eyes fall shut again. She certainly wasn’t going to tell him to stop even though they were just supposed to be friends clear in her mind. It could very well ruin that if she let him continue. Julie found herself arching into his touch now. “Don’t stop.” A different kind of haze had taken over her brain at this point.

"don't tempt me," she lazily replied. while she loved the hustle and bustle of the city, she could see a strong argument for settling out here. "i like that we can actually see stars when we go outside at night." still, deep down, she knew she'd never part from the craziness that surrounded her every day life, so pretending in the moment would just have to do. at his reply, she couldn't help but give an appreciative grin. "i thought the number would be higher," she teased. getting up from her seat in the comfortable recliner, she walked the short distance until she was sitting directly in front of the fire place, enough distance between so she didn't feel like she was a marshmallow roasting on the open flame. coyly, she removed her cardigan, tossing the fabric over at him before slipping out of her shoes. "come join me," she beckoned, tapping the spot of floor next to her. "i promise i won't bite unless you ask."

She didn’t like this; she should have just stayed away, yet here she was. She stopped walking as soon as she felt his hand wrap around her, something she shouldn’t miss, yet she does. Julie continued to face away from him, her eyes focusing on a spot on the wall to keep herself from tearing up. Finally, she turned, slowly, lips parting to ask him what he was doing but he spoke first, and she found him staring her in the eyes, just like he used to do. “You shouldn’t, I hurt you.” She whispered, her eyes down casting to look at their hands. “Why? Why can’t you hate me? It would be easier.”
Samuel found his heart aching in his chest for her. Seeing her again after so long brought many emotions to the front for him and he didn't know how best to respond to any of them. He found himself sighing softly as he looked into her eyes. After a long moment or two he reached out and grabbed her hand stopping her from leaving. He couldn't let go of her. Despite everything he couldn't bring himself to pull away from her or hate her or do anything of that sort. He looked into her eyes for some time before finally responding to her." I lied to you. I love you more than anything. I never stopped loving you and no matter what I won't. " He said to her softly.

Each grind against his thigh was met with a jerk of his knee, which only served to press his denim-clad erection against their ass. As she pleaded for him, he couldn't help but smile, knowing full well that they had no intention of giving into their desire for him. "And what about what I need? Huh, sweetheart?" His voice was rough and he couldn't stop himself from twisting harder at her nipples, the swollen bud rolling flat between his fingertips. It was almost as if he was punishing her for even thinking that she was going to get anything before he allowed it. "Cause see, I need you keep grinding that pretty little pussy of yours on my thigh until I tell you to stop, and if you're good... then maybe I'll let you have something more than just this." Again, he twisted hard at both of her nipples, this time pulling them as far and as high as he could get them.

"Please, you're just really, really bad at this. That, or you want me to see you half naked all night." Laughter followed and she lifted her drink to her lips, hiding the smirk that formed when he undressed before her. "Mm, I could get used to the sight. Don't worry, though, I'll let you keep your dignity. For now."

It was the way he didn't even seem to bat an eye at her jab. Perhaps it just wasn't that good, but even then, she held her head up. He was never easy for her to crack, but she fought like tooth and nail to always have the last word—or at least try to. "Never seen someone so happy to admit they like them easy. Probably because you can't get it from anyone who doesn't need an instruction manual." She scoffed, turning out to face the other direction, her arms resting against the balcony railing, the cigarette now burning between her pink colored lips. "I was invited by some friends. What, not allowed to hang around the same crowds? Your friends and their friends always did like me a tiny bit more." She took the cigarette out from her mouth, a slow drag being pulled in. "You got a problem with that?"

for the first time in months, he was happy to have fallen into retirement. why? because his teammates would have never let him live down the shameful attempt at flirting. instead, it would have been the squad's running joke for an entire season. her compliment caught him by surprise, the flush in his cheeks deepening as a boyish grin pulled wider. "well, i've got plenty of time to work on it. maybe the next time you hear it, it'll get your stamp of approval." who knew if there would be a next time? all he knew was that he wanted there to be. her compliment had worked wonders on his hammering heart, but her wink had made it feel like it were trying to escape his chest. thankfully, the reminder of his place behind the bar had the vertically gifted man straightening and clearing his throat with a nod. "solid choice, but i think the most important question is... how do you take it? on the rocks? neat?"
Alison couldn't help but laugh softly when he did the impression. It was poorly done but in a strange way it was cute. The man before him was also rather good looking she must admit now that she was finally able to see him clearly. In hindsight Alison was sort of glad she was stood up because she wouldn't have been able to have a conversation with him. She then listened to his words for a moment before finally responding to him. "I won't lie the impression could certainly use some work but all things it wasn't that bad. As a matter of fact I thought it was kinda cute. " She responded to her with a wink. But she then turned her attention to the bottles. For a moment she stayed silent as she looked at the bottles before finally responding to him. "How about that bottle of scotch ?" She asked him.

A playful, over exaggerated gasp left her lips, and with hazy eyes, Daphne glanced back at him. "Oh so you just want to pick on drunk me, is that it?" She looked forward, aiming the cue at the balls and just before hitting one, she backed into him, rubbing her ass against him. The ball didn't make it far, only hitting one of the stripped ones and inching it closer to the hole but not close enough. "Dammit! Even when I try I still suck at this game."

biting down on her bottom lip, lula took in his answer with a nod. "no, of course! i just wanted to make sure for your sake," she insisted, quickly offering what she hoped would be a friendly smile. she was familiar with easy hook-ups and this should've just been the same, she just felt the need to exercise some caution. "i am really down for this. promise."

——- Hearing what he said, rachel felt it, she wanted to just leave too — her face said it all, she was exhausted. maybe after this one, she'd tell her team she was sick or something to get a break ? ❝ yeah, me too. ❞ before she accepted, walking back towards the door to re-enter the event, she froze. turning on her heel and walking towards rory with a soft smirk crossing her lips, suddenly looking full of life. ❝ i'd actually love to sneak out of here. let's do it. ❞
Rory looked into her eyes for a moment and found himself sighing softly at her. In truth he too had been rather tired of constantly having to attend these events with her. As much as he loved and supported her and was always there for her he had to admit that these events were starting to get tiresome on him. He wished they could do something else. Something more relaxing and fun perhaps. Something they would both enjoy no matter what. He wished there was a way out of these events but he knew better that there was not. He found himself sighing softly at her as he looked into her eyes for a moment. He then nodded his head at her before finally responding to her. "Yeah I am. I wish that we could just leave. " He said to her softly. At her next words he sighed softly at her before reluctantly nodding at her. "I suppose we should. Unless you want to sneak out of here. " He said to her gently.

her delicate grip on the clipboard tightened, her knuckles whitening as she forced herself to keep her expression neutral. good to see you again? of all the people in this city, of all the jobs she could have landed, it had to be him. the universe clearly had a twisted sense of humor. she straightened her posture, tilting her chin slightly upward in a show of composure she didn’t entirely feel. " i promise this is just a coincidence, i didn't seek you out or anything," she assured him, delicate fingers tucking a golden strand behind her ear. " i'm sure this will be a ... productive working relationship," she pointed out, her voice even, though the words tasted strange coming out of her mouth. her pulse was pounding in her ears, and she prayed he couldn’t see the faint flush creeping up her neck at the mere memory of that night.
Sawyer knew he was to have a new assistant today since his old assistant left for a better job. He hoped this one would stay for some time and wouldn't leave for someone. He had no idea who she was and was about to meet her today. He was silently working in his office when he heard someone walking in. That must have been his new assistant. He suddenly looked up and the face he saw made him catch his breath in his throat. It was her. The woman he had been with about half a year ago. Normally he wouldn't remember such things but he simply couldn't forget her. Something about her stayed with him and even though he had been with other women in the following months nothing was like her. The sex with her was simply far too intoxicating and he hadn't been able to get her out of his head. But he never expected to see her again much less have her as his assistant. He gently nodded his head at her words and looked into her eyes. "It's good to see you again. " He said to her calmly.

Layla scoffed again, trying to hide her reddening face further by turning to look for the kitchen, "First, a drink," she said, brushing past his compliment like he wasn't the only person to show her remotely any affection in months. Was it even genuine? She found the kitchen, expecting him to follow, "Where do you keep your glasses?" she asked, opening a cupboard before glancing back at him, "While we drink, you can give me a tour," she added, not directly stating but inferring that a tour would naturally lead them to the bedroom. Tension hung thickly in the air between them. At least it did for her.
He found himself laughing softly at her words and shook his head at her for a moment. Rory then approached her for a moment. "Not really. Only to the special ones and that is you. " He said to her admiringly. His place was well furnished and clearly well lived in. There wasn't much in terms of decorations and he didn't have the time or need for those. He looked at her before clearing his throat. "So how should we start this ?" He asked her.

once the drinks were flowing, it coaxed the blonde's tongue to loosen if only just a tinge. that awkward aura that encapsulated her would unfortunately never fade. a playful chuckle slipped from pillowy lips as the flirtation steered forward. cerulean hues eyeing the woman's figure as her own hips swayed in a hypnotizing rhythm. it wasn't like mila to be so daring with her words, and she could tell that she took even allison by surprise. "you flatter me." dainty hand waved in the air in a teasing manner. then there was that pout that she couldn't resist. oh, this woman would be the death of her. "well, you look lit-" of course, the embarrassing compliment came tumbling out. did people even use that word anymore? "literally so hot." she recovered from the slip-up, digits brushing along the other's arm. "don't give me that look. you know you're the most beautiful one in the room. i mean, have i looked away once?"

Alison was certainly surprised by the other woman's words. She was certainly surprised to hear those words from her but Alison had an intriguing and mischievous smile on her face as she admired the other for a moment. "Believe what you want darling but I am telling you the truth. Why would I want to be all dolled up if I didn't want your attention. " She responded to her with a slight smirk. For a moment Alison stayed silent and continued to dance silently. She didn't say anything to her until her next words. "And yet you haven't said anything about how beautiful I look tonight. Or how much you love this dress on me. " She gave a pout as she said that. Although Alison had felt the other woman's eyes on her for some time now and had very much enjoyed the attention on her there was something else that she would rather do.

a little flirtation never did any harm! lord knows the blonde loved to feed into a little subtle teasing every now and then. what mila hadn't expected, was the other to so boldly strut over to her space on the dance floor. thick brows arched while plush lips upturned into a devious smirk. "you expect me to believe you got all dolled up just for me?" ocean irises couldn't help but shamelessly take in the woman's figure as she twirled right before her. "well, i've had my eye on you all night. i believe that answers your question, don't you think?"

Alison had a mischievous look on her face as she eyed the other in front of her. She gently ran her hands over her figure and her dress , eyes never leaving the others. She was doing this entirely on purpose. So as to rile up the other from her subtle teasing and flirting. She was certainly curious to see how the other would react and preferably they would react exactly in the way she was hoping for. "I wore this dress just for you. What do you think? Do I look good in it ?" Alison muttered making her voice a touch sultry in nature. She then twirled slightly so they could properly see the dress on her and how nicely it was on hugging onto her curves.
