"i thought the number would be higher," she teased. getting up from her seat in the comfortable recliner, she walked the short distance until she was sitting directly in front of the fire place, enough distance between so she didn't feel like she was a marshmallow roasting on the open flame. coyly, she removed her cardigan, tossing the fabric over at him before slipping out of her shoes. "come join me," she beckoned, tapping the spot of floor next to her. "i promise i won't bite unless you ask."

there was no one else she'd rather be here right now than with her. and it was so nice to see ellie relax, for her to enjoy this slow life as much as she did. "can't we just pretend?" she whined. "just a little bit." when she turned the question on the other woman, she smirked at her answer. "so you're saying more than ten?" she asked with a grin. the two were friends but their relationship had morphed into something else lately. they were both single so why couldn't they be friends who kissed? (amongst other things...) "why don't you join me on my chair?" she asked as she moved over just an inch. it was obvious that the two would practically have to be on top of one another, not that nora would complain.
