closed starter for @veritywagner location: Cedar Grill
Eddie had been focusing a lot lately to getting his new menu for the grill ready to go. So much so, he had stopped taking his medication because it made him tired more often and he wanted to stay up. He was, however, feeling the effects of this over the last several weeks as it was harder for him to walk up stairs like he normally did and he even stopped playing basketball. He was starting to get some small pains in his chest, too, but he told himself that once this was done, he could go back on his meds.
It was his birthday and everyone wanted to out to celebrate. He had made plans with Verity to do something after work, but they had to clean up and everything. It was closing and there were a few stragglers at the bar he could hear out there while he was trying to clean the kitchen. Suddenly, the door opened and one of the other bartenders said that they needed help getting this guy out so he put down his rag and went out there; looking at Verity then at the guy before her. "What seems to be the problem?"

closed starter for @veritywagner at the village
The motivation to do much of anything just wasn't there for Tanner yet. The last few months of her life had been a slog of trying to figure out what she was going to do next. The move to Kismet brought a whole different wave of emotions and Tanner had been mostly keeping to herself since arriving a few days before. Sitting down at one of the benches for the food truck village, Tanner was gazing out at the water, lost in thought. It was pretty crowded with the evening rush for dinner and her table was one of the only ones left with any room. Spotting someone lost for a place to sit, Tanner hefted out a sigh before motioning to the woman that she could take the other half of her table. When Verity came in closer, there was a vague sense of recognition there, an inkling that she'd perhaps seen Verity somewhere before. "Is it always this fucking busy here?" she asked, scooting a bit to make enough room for Verity to sit.

"Ver!" Millie yelled through the restaurant as she walked through it quick and got up to the bar. "Ver, I have the shirt!" She held up a shirt her cousin had let her borrow a few weeks back and she handed it to her. "It'll be perfect for your trip with Eddie." She sang his name a little and wiggled her eyebrows at her. "I can't believe you're going on a trip with him. If I was single, I'd be drooling all over him."

closed event starter for @veritywagner activity: hayride
Nick had just dropped Zoe and Logan off with their parents and was wondering through the festivities when he spotted his niece. Verity was always like a daughter to him and he always got pleasure seeing her. Walking over to the hayride line where she was, he put his hands in his pockets. "Not going on this thing alone, are you?" He asked teasingly. "I think there's a rule against that."

It was midmorning when a nurse came in to tell her that she had another visitor. Her family and Ricky's had been in to see their son and she was excited to see them all. It was good having that break the night before and now she felt a little rested for the time being and ready for people to come see Link. Hearing this visitor was Verity, she excitedly said she was okay to come back and smiled big as her best friend entered the room. "Verity, hi." She said happily, ushering her over.

"Dude, your roommate is so hot." Diana commented as she walked into the woman who was basically her cousin as they shared family's room and plopped down on her bed. "You guys hooking up or something on the side? Because I don't know how you're not." She grinned at her and turned so she was laying on her stomach with her legs sticking up; swaying them back and forth.

He took a deep breath and nodded. "Yeah. See you tomorrow." He said and he played with the beer bottle in his hands. "Night, Ver." Eddie watched as she went into her room before he took another drink of his beer and went to set with Rosco on the couch. @veritywagner

Can you imagine. The worst part about that statement was that she could. “Um yeah.. Right..” Verity forced a small smile, before looking over at the couch again to see if the dog perhaps had changed its mind, but it was still sound asleep. “Well, I um..” She gave him another quick glance, before she took another small step in the direction of her bedroom. “I guess I’ll see you tomorrow then. Night Eddie.” @eddiexcastro

closed starter for @veritywagner location: verity's place in los angeles
Maybe this whole thing was crazy. Eddie kept thinking that as he got to the airport, the whole flight to LA, and the taxi ride to Verity's address that he had gotten from Nicole. What if she didn't want to see him? Things had been awkward since they kissed on New Year's at midnight and maybe this would just make things more awkward. The thoughts didn't stop even as he got outside her place and walked to the door; taking a deep breath and knocking.

closed starter for @veritywagner location: an empty parking lot
"Alright. You ready for this?" Eddie asked as he looked over at Verity in the driver's seat. He had promised her a while back that he'd help teach her drive and now they finally had time to do so and they were in an empty parking lot so they could do this safely. He buckled up and he smiled over at her as he relaxed in the car. "You'll just turn the key and turn it on before braking and going into drive, okay?"

closed starter for @veritywagner location: Nancy's Bar & Grill
"She's back." Eddie said with a grin as he walked up to the bar. Nancy's was a favorite place of his and had been when he was a teen. It always felt like home in there and he loved the food. Honestly, if he didn't get the job at The DeLyle, it would've been his next choice for restaurants in East Haven. Plus, Verity worked there so it would've been a bonus if he did too. "I've missed you. I was thinking I was gonna have to start pouring drinks myself. Everything okay?" He asked as he hopped up on one of the stools.

"I'll take it. Notoriety is.... nortoriety," Gable nodded, still content. It wasn't damning him. Call it a bad habit from every city bar and club that required a shout to just get a semblance of someone's attention, and the same volume required across a photoshoot set. He was notorious for always being at a higher level, rest a privileged and reserved for layovers. "I promise this is as loud as I get, so a couple more of whatever these are should do the trick to end the night, yeah?"
"For the moment I am just debating whether or not to put you on my list of loudest customers." The bartender chuckled softly as she continued to wipe dry the glasses that she had just removed from the dishwasher, before putting them back in their spot. "But I guess the night is still young, so I can always change my mind." She joked back with him while her head tilted a little to the side. @edwardgable

Despite all the fun and happiness around them, Nicole knew Verity was secretly breaking right now. She couldn't imagine what the woman was going through. The thought of losing her son made her upset, let alone actually doing it. She'd be broken and she felt Verity was feeling just that. She was there as much as she could be for her and now that they were celebrating Stevie and Johnny, she wanted to check in and see how she was doing here. She walked over with a non-alcoholic drink for them and she smiled at her. "Hey. I come with a drink. It's not alcoholic, but if you want one I'll happily make the bartender uncomfortable as he gives it to me." She tried joking with her as she sat down.

closed starter for @veritywagner location: Verity's apartment
With everything going on after the storm and taking care of Ricky, it'd been a minute since Nicole had been to see Verity. So when Nancy was around to help out, she took the moment to get out of the house with Link and headed to her friend's apartment to visit. After getting inside, she went up to her door and knocked, shifting the baby in her arms and smiling when Verity opened. "Hey! Surprise!" She said with a grin. "We thought we'd come see Auntie Verity today."

Nicole hated that she hadn't been able to tell Verity she was pregnant yet. She meant to do it sooner, but since the Spring Celebration, both girls had been busy with their lives to meet up again. She should've just told her then, but she didn't want to over shadow the woman's trip and just spending time with her. And she didn't want to do it through text or over the phone. She wanted to tell her in person. So finally, they were able to plan to meet up for lunch and she got there early, ordering some cheese fries to satisfy her cravings while she waited for her friend. When she saw her, she smiled and waved her over. "Hey!" She smiled at her. "How are you? It's been forever."

Nicole had finished her hours at the Ring Toss and decided to walk through the square to look at everything. She was trying to keep positive with everything going on and part of her just wanted to go home, but she wanted to be there. She wanted to keep her mind off things and she figured staying at the celebration was the best option. She was passing another booth when she saw Verity and she smiled. "Verity." She said and moved towards her friend, wrapping her in a hug. She hadn't realized she was back from her trip yet, but was thankful to see her. "I didn't know you were back." She said as she moved back. "How was it?"

The second his eyes found Verity, Eddie smiled and walked over to her. He was glad to see her out tonight and wondered if she wanted to hang out for a bit. He was gonna find his cousin and hang with him for a bit, but now that he saw Ver, his mind had shifted. "Hey, you." He grinned at her. "You look great. You did a group thing, right?"
