peggy held herself like she was on top of the world. never did she shrink herself for some one, even when they laughed and teased. no, she was the femme fatale, the beauty queen star, the original comedy star. she was a star. she was the star. so she went about life clinging to that - even as time ticked on, even as the muppets struggled to find themselves ten years later. netflix specials instead of their usual comedy show hour on a television channel each week. tiktoks instead of television appearances. some people get bored of what theyre doing - peggy wished things could remain the same. she was chasing after the same silver screen in a new black mirror world.

she had to be relevant.

miss piggy took in the way he sat, almost timid. she shifted in her seat, shoulders back and maintaining the confidence miss piggy clung to. but when he spoke, her carefully crafted persona cracked, the glitz and glamour faded like the bright hollywood stage lights. happiness... was this happiness ten years later?

"happy?" the word was cooed out, the tone of an airy starlet. as if she was dumb. peggy was anything but that. "oh, oh, i am happy, mr. matpat." she slapped her knees, lying through lipsticked lips. "ten years is a breeze. you know this industry, its fast paced. happiness comes and go. but you know what doesn't. opportunities." she had too many opportunities. work work work. she was working constantly.

is she happy? when was she happy? memories of her younger years flashed through her mind. laughing behind the scenes with kermit and fozzie. kermie and her before their worse breakups. is happiness a full bank account?... well yeah, but she still felt lonely.

"you really are a smart one. you do actual research, huh?" she laughed a little, her bouncy tone leveling into her natural tone. "most people don't even know my name." she commented. "do you know my dress size too?" she snorted.

miss piggy was her brand. miss piggy was her persona. miss piggy was what everyone saw. peggy, the girl from maury, missouri, was her.

"ok. if im peggy, should i call you matthew?" she queried. no persona to cling to. she was happy this wasn't an interview, it wouldve thrown her off.

matt's brow knotted as he searched over peggy's features , fair hands folding in his lap as hazel eyes trained over her expression , how she spoke , held herself . matthew never thought of himself as a man that knew every intricacy in another's life , but something about peggy spoke volumes to the brunet in ways he couldn't place ; this need to be perfect , to be the best at everything you do , to want to be in the limelight and show your theatrical prowess . the theorist felt . . . sympathy towards the blonde , understanding what it was like to be in her VERY position time and time again . when he speaks , his voice is timid , not wanting to step on her toes or encroach on anything he wasn't supposed to . " it's a 3% chance you'll be happy doing the same thing you do everyday for the next ten years . " matthew statement isn't said with certainty , because he ISN'T , but he felt that he needed to come down to a more serious level than what was normal for his bubbly , vibrant self .

he tries to give her a lopsided smile , but it's tight lipped . " you should do what makes you HAPPY , miss piggy . " he clears his throat , raising a hand inquisitively . " can . . . can i call you peggy , or would that be step too far if i haven't done so already ? "

{ POSITIVITY TIME!

Now I could talk about all my mutuals here, because the ones I've gotten to write with and interact with so far have been amazing and I can't wait to get to know you all better my friendos!

But we shall start with a few and first up is @crossingredqueensrealm ; thank you for inspiring me to make my boy Hagi and giving him and me a lot of smiles and happy time interacting with your Saya! As well as on your multimuse - especially interacting with my babies Rias & Percy! Also thank you for staying around all these years even with me being quiet and not around much! You write all your muses so well and I can't wait to see what we write together in the future!

@featherchan ; thank you for putting up with my angsty butt and ideas when it comes to our ships and threads! We will have to give the babies some happy times soon! You capture the voices of your muses well and I can't wait to explore and interact more!

It's so awesome to see you and your Matpat again, still as amazing as I remember the both of you! You capture his voice and him so good! I just have to say that when you replied to my Sora thread I totally didn't flip like a fanfriendo and totally didn't happy cry...can we tell i mean the opposite and did that? Cause I did! Thank you for popping up again and I can't wait to interact more and just have fun writing with you again <3 }

   Matthew cocked a brow, crossing his arms and allowing for an annoyed scoff    to leave him. The Core was already getting on Matt’s nerves and he had bar-    ely met the guy; after you watch the process of something being built the fr-    om the ground up and hear about it’s progress. Every. Single. Day. You don’t    want to hear about it or FROM it anymore. Especially not seemingly RUDE c-    omments.

He had, well not really decided to tag along with the other, but it wasn’t like he had anywhere else to go. Blinking, and looking down, he brought his hands behind his back, and gave a nod whilst still looking down before responding.

Looking at Matt, and seeing him there, the aspect began to just- scream with his mouth closed for half a second before adjusting his glasses and smiling. You would think that one of them would have gotten used to being summoned randomly.
