eyes fluttered shut with a content sigh passing their lips at the feel of lia's fingers running through her hair. casey even felt fingertips brushing against her scalp and she smiled at the touch. they opened her eyes to smile at the other. "your turn," she spoke with hands reaching out to massage the blonde's scalp. quickly shaking her head, casey laughed and leaned closer to press a kiss to her girlfriend's lips. "i'm kidding. don't you care cut your hair."

she couldn't stop smiling, honestly. lia hummed and she nodded as they pulled back from her. "that's a good change. i'm glad you did it, baby. i really am." her smile widened and she leaned over to press another kiss to casey's lips. she kissed the tip of her nose and ran her fingers through their hair and she hummed softly. she kissed both sides of their head and she laughed.

their head fell back as laughter slipped past casey's lips. "i don't think he realizes how gay you really are, baby."

"again? she really has the worst luck." a sigh escaped them before casey swallowed thickly. when her girlfriend climbed in her lap, arms wrapped around lia to hold the blonde close before she nuzzled into the woman's neck. "mmm, just a long day. i got a call back from that online magazine about the job, but it's...not what i was expecting. they don't need writers right now, just, like...other office staff, so." shoulders lifted into a shrug. "it's still a good opportunity, though, so i think i'm gonna take it." it wasn't their dream job or even a writing position like casey had always wanted, but it could help push her along towards that dream career.

"olivia's pregnant again and the father of this one isn't chiming in, either." she furrowed her brow as she thought about her sister that had a one year old and now she was pregnant with her second. the father of cassie had alread gone back to his family, leaving olivia to take care of everything on her own. now this next guy was just as much of a piece of shit. "i feel like i need to step in and help a lot more. she can't do this on her own." she climbed into her girlfriend's lap and curled her arms around their neck. "you have an okay day, baby?"

"this kinda feels like my thing, huh?" they grinned before she scrunched her nose. leaning closer, her forehead rested against ophelia's and their lips were pressed together in a soft kiss. when she pulled back, casey shook her head lightly. "i always hated growing my hair out. i think i just...needed a change. it feels nice. it feels like me."

"i really, really like it," she laughed and returned the kiss. she sighed and bit into her lip as casey pulled her closer. "it's a nice surprise, yeah. i didn't expect that at all. i mean, i knew you were growing your hair out. i just thought you liked being able to put it up or something. you looked good either way. but this? this is your thing." lia nodded and smiled gently.

a bit of laughter slipped past their lips as she met her girlfriend's gaze. "so, you really do like it, huh?" with a grin, casey leaned closer and pressed a kiss to lia's lips. her head tilted to bump their noses together with a soft smile. "i love you," they spoke with arms wrapping around the other to pull them closer together. "it's a nice surprise then?"

"baaaaaaaaaaby," she whined and ran her fingers through casey's hair before pressing a kiss to their lips. she smiled against them and laughed, "you look so good." ophelia nodded and her lips curled into a little smirk. "i love you, i love you so much." the blonde nudged her nose against casey's and she bit into her lower lip.
