"i need you to keep your goddamn mouth shut about this," he muttered with a glance taken around. only the two men were in the kitchen for now and it was surprisingly quiet in the house right now. "i'm not gonna say anything." zeke responded as logan looked up from his phone. "i'm fucking serious," he spoke and saw the look the other man gave him. "you found out who did it." the moment zeke spoke those words, logan heard a footstep and looked towards the doorway to see a familiar head of blonde hair.

it hadn't been more than a handful of days since they first met and ryan knew that night that it wasn't enough. it should have been considering they had the entire night together, but ryan had known he wanted to see her again. so, he let the work week pass and made a call to have luna meet him. this time, he arrived at the hotel first, getting up to the room and waiting for her there. when he heard a knock at the door, he walked along and opened the door with a smile on his lips at the sight of her, stepping aside with the door open for her to walk in. "well, don't you look stunning."

"so, i think we have a problem," he spoke while walking down the sidewalk with his girlfriend, feeling her hand slipping into his and he laced their fingers together. "lizzie told me her cat is her best friend. i've been replaced by a four-legged, orange furball named pumpkin."

walking in through the front door after a long day of baking in the morning and kids in the afternoon had rory ready to face plant into bed for the evening. she was two steps inside when she saw naomi curled up on the couch and the thought of heading to bed completely vanished. "hi, my love." there was a tired smile on her lips as she toed her boots off, slid off her coat and scarf to hang them up, then her bag was placed down before she moved along and curled up beside her girlfriend. "i'm cold. warm me up," she spoke with arms wrapped around the other.

bumping into her was technically a coincidence because nathan had no clue where evelyn would be when he showed up in town. however, they had been here before, even if it hadn't been in over a year, and always seemed to find one another whenever he showed up again. walking by that particular coffee shop, he recognized her instantly and didn't hesitate to step inside and walk over to her table. "hey, stranger."

after they had gotten home and got cleaned up, tony rested back in their bed, sitting up against the headboard with a smirk on his features as he looked at sage. "so, do you think he actually took her on a date or did they just skip that part and go straight to his bed?"

"you know, when you call me theodore like that, it's a turn on as much as it's terrifying." with a wink sent her way, he took the dry paint brush from her to twirl it around between his fingers while standing in the doorway of the nursery. "tell me your idea. i want to be able to see it."

the two of them had been walking along the sidewalk, hand in hand, nearly rushing back to his place to get out of the cold weather. snow started to come down once again, a little heavier now and it was piling up. elijah knew they were going to get snowed in soon enough, so he had pulled her along to grab a few things from the store before it ended up happening.

her hand slipped free from his seconds ago and he sighed in frustration, but then he felt the cold, wet snowball that smacked him in the center of his back. his steps came to a halt and elijah turned to look at avery, seeing the growing smile on her lips. "did you really just do that?" when he heard her giggle, his head fell back and he laughed before lifting up his full hands. "i'm carrying all the bags right now. that's not even fair!"

the bed shifted just enough to stir alex awake, but he kept his eyes shut while feeling his wife moving closer against his side. they had arrived at the winter wonderland cabin the evening before. things still weren't always easy, but they were making it easier for themselves as time went on. that was a promise they made to themselves and each other. "i don't think you can get any closer than that, baby." he chuckled lowly and blinked his eyes open to look at his wife. "good morning, beautiful."

the two of them had been lying together that night and he could hear the additional heartbeat that turned his stomach into knots, but only because she hadn't said anything to him about this. inhaling a deep breath, his gaze trailed over her back and he thought to reach out for her, but brayden pulled back and pushed himself to sit up in their bed instead. "are you ever gonna tell me?"
