@doomprep: i know i'm being punished.
your heart beats inside the hollow auditorium of your chest like a nervous hummingbird; it skips a beat and hair stands on end despite the warmth coursing through your veins. there is an endurance to your faith, similar in the way to your heart, that without it: you think you would cease to exist. every spring that brought flowers to every fall that left the trees bare, the cyclical seasons pass, as did your fleeting moments on non-belief, thirst for knowledge greater quenched by each new chapter, paper thin cuts lined your pointer, thumb wet with ink in pages flicked too quickly. [some rushed through to simply be done, you to reach the next chapter, to coat yourself with an armour you could understand, shrouded in text that gave meaning to the world]. even in the end of the world, it was your crutch, that there was some meaning to this apocalypse, that bloody knees and scorched palms could not fix. the punishment of mankind was never meant to be fair, let the earth flood and the forests burn so that they must stare their own creation in the face, to witness the horrors they made. mankind was to be made in God’s own image, so were you both not now walking hand in hand; accepting of the death of civilisation caused by your own lack of discipline?
“those whom i love, i reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent — revelation, 3:19.” you catch his eye over the fire, how the words spill from your mouth before you even have time to register them. you’ve repeated them to yourself night after night since this began, to know that the punishment is only forged out of love; that one day, you too can bask in the holiness of light once more. this will not last forever, through the drought will come rain and wash away those that sin and do not find clarity through repentance. “sorry, it’s new testament.” shy, meek beth greene — what spills from you is golden, how light leaks from your chest in every shaky breath. “i think humanity is. i think that— assuming the responsibility for this is brave, but wrong.”

One Tragic School Day
It was one of the worst mornings Marlie could experience. The news was gut wrenching. It was suffocating. Reading the words felt unreal. Marlie was being comforted by her mother as she found herself in denial as she uncontrollably sobbed. When she finally was instructed to attend school. Her and Elaine didn't say a word to each other. Instead, they just cried to each other. There was no one else who knew her like they did. And that night they each had a role and both felt as if they were failures and horrible friends.
It was reported after the night Bethany went out on November 20th, She was reported missing by her parents at 8:00 am on November 21st. A search was under way while both Marlie and Elaine stayed home because of the press and news flooding the school for questions about Bethany.
Bethany had no returned home that night. She still had not read or responded to any of Elaine's and Marlie's messages. Marlie found herself being angry and not being to contain her emotions. Had there been something she could have done to help Bethany, she knew she would have done it in a heart beat.
The whole day, Marlie spent wondering about Beth. She had this hopeful thought she carried around that Bethany was just lost and needed to be found. Despite it hitting nearly 15 degrees out at night and snow fall, She was in hopes that her friend was somewhere out there and needed help immediately.
Everyone through out the school was whispering to one another. They questioned about the recent murder about that girl in the corn field and if it was related to Bethany's disappearance. Marlie didn't want tot think that. She didn't want to think that Bethany was murdered. That was worse case scenario. She'd rather have anything else than news that someone took Bethany away. For now, she only thought of when was she going to be brought back home.
During lunch, the friend group meet at the back of the school. Marlie was sick of the rumors. Elaine was sick of people in general. Josh had also showed up, barely even say a word other than hi. Ethan, who initially threw the party also had come to meet them during lunch.
" This day sucks," Ethan sighs out breaking the silence.
" No shit," Marlie scoffed.
" Look, We're all gonna get questioned. We all had something to do with her that night. And now she's fucking... she's gone. I just want to know what's going on. Nothing is making sense," Josh blurts, frantically throwing his hands everywhere in frustration.
" Well, was she with you or not." Elaine says crossing her arms looking over at josh.
" No. No she wasn't," he answers quietly.
" I'm gonna head to class, I just want this day to be over," Marlie says beginning to walk away.
When classes ended, she got on the bus and sat in the very back. As the bus began to fill up she felt someone sit next to her. She looks up to see it's a boy with curly hair. She continues on looking down at her phone as all the news about Bethany's disappearance. There were no new updates. But she sees that her parents have decided to host a search for her. Marlie knew that if there was a search... Bethany was most likely not alive and the police have a something to suspect it.
" Was she your friend?" an english voice spoke.
Marlie looks up at him. He had these green eyes that stared into her. She hesitantly nodded before going back to looking down at her phone.
" I hope they find her... safe and sound," He sighs out.
Marlie looks up at him again. That's one of the most positive things she's heard of today.
" I hope so too," She whispers.
He nods back at her as the bus began to move. When Marlie's stop came, Harry had gotten off the same time as her. They walked in opposite directions. Marlie would look back while slowly walking back to her house. She noticed that he didn't live far from her. He lived in the white house that was just a block down. Why hadn't she seen him before?

Sin: Envy
A sigh escapes a certain 13 year old's lips. A scowl present on his face as he looks at the clock. His attention is snapped back to reality when he hears the next order that needs to be boxed brought to the counter. Those small hands folded the bright purple box with expert precision, quickly handing it to Alice to take to the front counter.
Jess is supposed to be here.
She was supposed work with him this shift cause he has to close and the family has to leave an hour early for 'special business'.
Jess had to be there cause he struggles with counting out.
But here he is. With a busy Camillo and Alice preparing orders for the after work rush. Chris knows she's driving around with Andy and her friends. More than likely having a good, no grand time while he's working.
The only consolation was somehow convincing the Lunas that Beth could stay with him at the bakery so he's not alone when he closes. Though he does feel bad she has to listen to the Lunas 'order rush' arguments in Spanish. Despite the kind smile he offered to patrons but it was obvious that was he was pissed.
It's now 7:30 pm.
It's just Chris and Beth. She's munching on a Malassada that's made since the after work lunch rush has passed. He's stacking chairs a little more aggressivly than normal. Chris hasn't made a joke about Julia Tapia's ugly blouse nor has he gushed about Hellboy 2 coming out soon. He's a little quiet. More quiet than usual.
He soon feels a small hand on his shoulder.
"...Hmm?"
The second he see's those questioning green eyes, his scowl softens. Jess often said Beth was able to calm the storm that was his anger. She was right. Any hint of sadness from the younger Riley's eyes were enough to make him calm down.
"Killika," she begins, voice barely above a whisper, "...You've been slammin 'tings all night...that's not like you."
She read him like a book.
"...What's wrong?"
Chris's eyes look towards the window, hoping to find the right words. He does that thing when he's...unsure of what to say. His mouth opens for a minute. Those ever growing hands make motions towards outdoor before he sighs.
"...Jess was supposed to be here," Chris finally speaks. "...But she's out with her friends and Andy. I mean I'm not saying she can't hang out...and I don't mind covering for her. "
That scowl makes it's return to his face.
"But...she gets to have fun,: he sighs with clenched fists. If one were to look closely, it was easy to spot just a tinge of a purple spark." Have friends...have fun. All while I'm stuck here!"
Aanother spark of that purple aura fills the bakery for a moment before he sighs. He plos down int he booth across from Beth. His fists are still clenched and it isn't long before tears fill those soft brown hues.
"...She has the gift to talk to anyone and I don't...it's not fair..."
He feels the familiar warmth of Beth's hands on his, those tear stained eyes meet hers. She knows his pain. She doesn't judge him or make him feel unheard.
"...Promise you won't tell Jess?...I feel bad even thinking that..."

@fireversed // starter call.
she’d been out of grady for about an hour now, and she’s sure she hasn’t stopped running. she’d been sprinting for as long as she could, and once she couldn’t sprint any longer she just slowed to a less intense jog. she’s sure that stopping means death; either officers from grady would catch up to her, or walkers would. she only had her surroundings as resources to survive, but considering that she’s only been free for an hour, she hasn’t had to do all that much. she’d used a gun to get out of grady, but soon enough she’d run out of bullets. she’s got it tucked into her pants, though, just in case she came across any survivors that seemed hostile. she’s constantly looking behind herself, always sure that someone from grady had been following her. perhaps she should’ve been paying more attention to the things going on in front of her, ‘cause she doesn’t see the other person at all. she collides with them at full speed, sending her tumbling to the ground. instinctively she pulls out the ammo-less gun, pointing it at the other and thinking that it’d be enough to survive the situation. except that only moments after their eyes meet she accidentally pulls the trigger while trying to reposition herself, leading to an awkward smile as it becomes clear that the gun has no ammo in it.

Divisional week
Hawk Valley
Quick Review
The Broncos won their last game of year 16-15. In typical Bronco fashion they won the first half 10-3, but lost the second half 12-6. The Raiders failed to score on a two point conversion at the end of the game.

During the offseason
The football season is over and the football guys have turned the operation over to the business side. On the first day of the offseason, the trust led by CEO Joe Ellis, essentially said the team is for sale. If you have $3 billion dollars, the team is yours.
Why would they start the offseason with that news? In order for the Bowlens to keep the team, everyone in the Bowlen family would have to vote for Brittany to take over. Ellis has said that when the family formally rejects Brittany, the trust will put the team up for sale because there’s little chance of any minds being changed at that time. For example, Pat’s brother Bill tried suing Ellis in an attempt to dissolve the trust before the season started. That lawsuit was dismissed. Beth Bowlen Wallace also wants to own the team. Bowlen has seven kids which apparently have no interest in football or business, so they’re ready to cash out.
Lock’s performance over the last five weeks has changed the outlook for this offseason. They are no longer looking to the draft for a quarterback. Some people think they’ll draft linemen. Hopefully they’ll draft speed, that’s what they need on offense.
My big fear is that John Elway loves old quarterbacks and there will be several of those to choose from this summer.

Making sense of winning percentage and net points
Pointing out teams that have a winning percentage of less than or equal to 50 percent is great and all but how does that rank in the NFL overall? Good question, so I've decided to include the top three teams in each conference for comparison.

My super bowl matchup prediction is the 49ers vs the Chiefs.
This season I redesigned the site and I think it's more useful this way. I'm sure mistakes were made that I didn't catch, but I hope they were minor. Have a great winter and enjoy the offseason!

Languages: English
Disabilities/Illnesses/Injuries: None, he is fairly hardy. Mild PTSD from his time in the war and social anxiety which sometimes gives him panic attacks.
Allergies: None
Scars: He has a long scar crossing from the bridge of his nose down and under his right eye, an injury acquired during combat in the war when he was bashed in the face with an enemy rifle, breaking his nose in the process. The man who inflicted the damage was then beaten to death before his eyes by one of his platoon members, which was the first time he had ever witnessed the murder of another person. Jack always feared the inner monster a person could become under trauma from that point forward and hoped to never see himself become that.
Other facial scars include a long scar below his left eye which crosses down his cheek and over his lips. He was working in the garage cutting exhaust pipe with a cut off wheel on an angle grinder, negligently not using a face shield, when the wheel shattered and a piece broke off and embedded into his face. Luckily Ford was there and was able to get him to the hospital, and saved the heckling until after they ensured he wasn’t going to die. He never lived that one down for as long as he and Ford worked on cars together.
He has countless smaller scars on his hands and wrists from mechanic work over the years. Notably he has a large burn on his left elbow which mangles one of his tattoos, from accidentally leaning on a weld seconds after finishing welding something. Various other scars all along his knees and shins (from being clumsy and falling over his giant feet all the time) and one gnarly puncture wound on his left shoulder from a Red Widow bloodbug which he hit with his bat just a few moments too late.
Physical traits: Jack has a birth mark on his forehead that is mostly obscured by the amount of freckles he has all over his face, which continue all over the rest of his body as well. He has an American traditional style eagle tattoo across his chest and a sleeve of random flash-sheet kind of American traditional tattoos all over his left arm, acquired from his time living out of his car and traveling all over the states and adding a tattoo from every town he stayed in. He has wrinkles between his eyebrows from years working in the sun and focusing way too hard, and often looks exhausted due to the creases around his eyes. He has a scruffy beard and extremely perfect eyebrows that always made his sisters jealous.
Voice: Jake Gyllenhaal, but only as Jack Twist.
Clothing: Pretty much hasn’t changed out of his vault suit since leaving Vault 111. Like ever. He added a coat, though. Also he always wears his holotags from the military, his wedding ring, and his pipboy which is painted red.
Fashion Style/Lifestye: His fashion sense is pretty much “how long can I get away with wearing the same disgusting, dirty outfit before Bambi finally requests that I change and do laundry.”
Weapon of Choice: “The Fuck ‘Em Up”, a chain wrapped baseball bat, also painted red, or a bladed tire iron.
Skills: Strength, combat, situational awareness (in nonsocial situations), mechanics, artistic
Weaknesses: Easily stressed out in social situation, has a hard time explaining himself, can be kind of slow, spaces out a lot and daydreams. Very scatterbrained. Often sees things way too literally.
Poor skills: Computer technologies, verbal communication, stealth (too clumsy).
Affiliations: The Railroad, Acadia
Former Affiliations: None
Enemies: The Institute
Neutral Affiliations: The Brotherhood of Steel, the Minutemen, Nuka World Raiders
Religion: Agnostic
Likes: Cars, working on cars, collecting random trinkets, drawing and writing in his journal (mostly to Vivia), digging through junkyards and scrap and planning how to build a new Corvega one day. Also enjoys cooking and making new recipes for the various types of wasteland animals he kills.
Dislikes: Pre-war food, Nuka Cola Quantum (the radiation makes him extremely sick), most sweets
Hates: Spiders, radscorpions, insects of any variety. Vivia was the bug killer of their household.
Friends: Deacon, Piper Wright
Acquaintances: Ilya Valle (pre-war), Nataniel Valle (pre-war)
Former friends: None
Enemies: None that he is aware of, maybe there are some out there. Don’t know.
Pets: Sometimes junkyard dogs hang out with him at Hub City. But really none.
Fallout OC friends/family: Brook Cecil, Benjamin Reese, Andre Torres, Bambi (Beth), Sirius Tillinghast, Katherine Vance
Personality: Jack is overall pretty laid back. There isn’t much that can make him lose his temper, and even if he does, he ends up feeling bad about it and apologizing later. He is terrible in social situations and uses his awkward sense of humor to try to bridge conversations, which sometimes works, as in the case of how he scored Vivia’s phone number.
Favorite color: Green
Favorite foods: Radstag jerky, mirelurk cakes, literally everything his mother cooked when he was a kid.
Favorite drinks: Vim!, Vim! Quartz, Gwinnett Lager
Favorite Sweets: If anything, he might have some gum. Overall, not a fan of sweets.

Blog Entry #15
4/13/17
Hello, today was amazing, it was one of the best days I have had this year. Since we have no school tomorrow today is the last day then we have Spring Break! WOOHOO! So anyway the school day was ok, as we were finishing the decor for the Rally and the MORP dance, we were tying three balloons together to put on a balloon arch, well I tried anyway. I got the first two tied, but shortly after it either almost immediately became undone or it became undone when I tried tying the 3rd one. And need I remind you I made around 5 attempts before I gave up, those balloons hate me or something. I tried them right, the crisss-cross then the tie, it is so basic but fuck me right. Anyway at the end of 5th period Neko was doing a cheap Russian accent and I told Maddie so I walking up to him and explained to him how Russians pronounce the W like a V and that your tongue should be more flat as that is how slavic speakers talk apposed to the romance language speakers who’s tongues are more upward. He tried getting me to do an accent and I said Slavic with a Russian accent and he loved it, as Maddie, David and him her walking out of class together he told them how I schooled him on pronunciation and jokingly said he should take classes from me, lol. So after school I head towards the Rally as it was today and a surprising amount of people came and loved it. Cool enough Amanda was coincidentally sitting behind me. The rally was great, I had no idea the Mr. Bassy knew how to play the drums and so well I might add, him and Molly played them so well. Molly is becoming really well known in Solano and is getting a lot of support, I am so proud of her. Afterwards I walked to Mr. Riley’s room for no real reason, Cesi came in to get his keys to get into the little threater to get her keys and told me the set up for MORP was at 5:30pm so as I leave the front door I and walk told the walk area, I turn around and Amanda is there and we talk about the MORP dance being at 7pm and how I needed to be there at what Cesi said was 5:30 but come to find out was officially 6pm. She offered me a ride and I was debating with her on how I could get a white shirt for the color run where we throw powdered paint at the runners on a path. During this conversation, I noticed Sophia was walking behind Amanda by several feet and i asked why she was at school and she said she was looking for someone and I totally should have used that chance to give her a hug but it did not cross my mind like usual. Sarah comes over soon after and we just talk about random stuff like medication for horses and make up, like my cover up I use for my acne. She leaves after getting picked up as she was waiting for a ride. So then I proceed to call my mother to see if she had the car so I could go to the store to buy a shirt but she didn’t and said she would look for a shirt. But I took Amanda up on her kind offer to go to Michael’s to buy a white shirt. Her car was messy but so are most people’s cars. So anyway we get there and look at the large white shirts as the last time I bought a blue there in medium size it barely fit but the large white looked too big, but the medium surprisingly looked like it would fit. So as we are in line I offer to buy her candy as she was looking at them but she declined the offer, and soon after she notices Lawson and Stephen walking down to the shirts so I told her to so turn around so they don’t notice us as my plan was to buy the shirt and sneak up on them but we weren’t fast enough and they got in line and noticed us so we walking over to them and Lawson was holding a black shirt and a white shirt which I wondered why but did not get a clear answer besides for the dance. Stephen asked if I am going to his and Beth’s party tonight but I decline as I am not a party person, I wouldn’t know most people there, and the fact my home is a police state and my parents would never let me go to a party let alone one late at night. So we leave and she drops me off but before I get out of the car I give her a thank you hug and then go inside my home. Mother and my older sister Nina had apparently found a white shirt actually and mother got a bit upset that I bought one but to be honest I bought it because I did not think they’d actually find one, besides the new one was better. So after listening to some music I take a nice warm shower to get clean for the dance. I worse my green converse, the new white shirt and my black jogging pants. Mother put some cover up on my face for my acne. Father dropped me off at 5:29pm so I was very early. I said Hi to Maddie as she was with her orchestra friends. I knock on MS. Sullivan’s door to see what the official time was as my text to Melissa was not replied to. She said it was officially at 6pm and that I could hang out in her room but I declined the offer and said I wanted to walk around. After walking around for a couple of minutes I return to the quad only to meet up with Cassidy, Biane, and some new girl who’s name escapes me. They had Starbucks and Cass was sad as she said she should have gotten something for me but I said it was fine. I did appreciate the thought though. SO we start getting to work by going to the gym and seeing what’s what, then we go the little theater to look for the posters, we looked int he back stage and we couldn’t fine the light for like 5 minutes until Cass found it down the starts leading to the music room. I am not used to being in the back stage so it was new to me, what we thought were old posters from the MR. GQ event they we thought we could use, turned out to be for something else that escapes me, so we look for the posters on the other side. There is this little stairway down that leads to this little storage space but it also has an elevator for wheelchairs, what was funny was that Biane didn’t see the handle for the space so Ms. Sullivan jumped the gate only for it to open on her, we all laughed hard because she thought it was locked for some reason. I soon after came up with the idea to check the Student Counsel Storage room which Ms. Sullivan gave me credit for for having such a great idea, anyway we find the posters and the boxes painted as Rubik’s cubes and stereos in there. I grabbed all the “stereos” but they were too tall stacked up for the door so Cass helps me when her and the new girl walk in and see me struggling and the new girl grabbed the big Rubik’s Cube and we all walked over to the gym. And the a bunch of Link Crew people arrive to help out. Lauren also does too and we all start putting up posters. Lauren, Cassidy and a few others hang out the Mr. Riley’s room for a bit so Lauren could do her make-up and we talked about how I have never been to Dutch Bros or Chick Fil A, and everyone one is surprised. So Lauren starts talking about how her and Cass should bring me to to those places some time. Including the other small chatter it was fun, then we get back to the gym to do posters and I mention how my dad gets me clothes from the dumpster sometimes because he likes dumpster diving and from his work randomly and she was shocked and hilariously said he should see a doctor. She also comically asked if I wanted to move in with her lol. She kept saying how she would teach me how to yike when the dance started and I was my usual uncomfortable self about such odd activity, she also intentionally made me feel uncomfortable to be funny but acting like she was going to yike on me, she said it was easy to do, which is true. So then we go back to the room so that I could get tape for the posters but there isn’t any more so I give up and when we get so Lauren could get her hair curled, which Cesi did, and I said how I couldn’t do it because I didn’t want to burn her as I have never had practice and would need someone who who tolerate burns without slapping me or a wig bust to learn how. Lauren asked if I wanted to be one of those hair people but I said no, I just wanted to learn how as it’s a nice skill and that my mother also said it would be a good idea as girls like a guy who can do hair. She then asked out of no where if I was ever going to tell my parents that i liked girls and I said that my mother may be accepting but the rest of my family wouldn’t be. Cesi said I should tell my mother. I told them how I have to bottle in how I feel and how it’s slowly killing me on the inside emotionally. They were very supportive and how it must feel terrible. Lauren said if she was a lesbian that her parent’s would eventually accept her. Sarah came in and Lauren told her the fact that I liked guys. Link crew peoples were fine to tell, plus I trusted Lauren to tell the right people even though I was so nervous that she was telling others about it but she was speaking softly and I forget her justification. But anyway it made me feel so great and motivated me to act more myself and be more confident about liking guys. Lauren again offers for me to live with her which I just found so sweet. Cesi is such a cool person by the way, the room isn’t the same without her. So after her hair was done, we all compliment Lauren’s now wavy hair. And then we start getting work on stuff, I and two other girls make new posters for the ticket sales because the last poster was messed up, then we got the paint powder out and threw it on eachother. I was just caked in it but I loved it, my whole body was covered. So when the color run happened everyone switched between different colors to throw and it was so much fun. I started out helping Cesi with the blue but then switched to other colors independently. The runners loved it and it lasted until 8pm, so about half an hour. Then the dance started but it took a while for most people to show up. Selena had to use the restroom so I took over the scanner but did not know how to use it so I did wrist bands while Sarah did the scanner with Lawson watching. Selena and the others never came back. I called Amanda as to know when she was showing up and she said she just left her home. When she called me I was too busy putting bands on people’s wrists to answer it but it was fine as she just went in and waiting for me with her friend. I then had Lawson cover for me so I could go in. Now I never did dance but with one of the songs Amanda kept making me crouch when the song said to go low. I don’t know how to dance and so it frustrated me that she kept saying go with the flow but there is no flow to follow as my arms and ass are too shy to express themselves. So i sort of give stood there while being touched and pushed by a bunch of people who were dancing and walking past. I felt so uncomfortable yet happy that I was at least hanging out with Amanda. I kept leaving to get water or fresh air as it was humid in there and hot. After a few times of leaving I start feeling incredibly sad that I can’t dance I felt like an idiot for doing nothing. Lauren wasn’t there to teach me anything and Amanda didn’t show me anything so I spent a few minutes in the bathroom crying at the fact I am trying to act normal and was failing. So i get out and get some fresh air before going back in, and after hanging out with Amanda for a couple of minutes I go to get some water and Selena grabs my hips like she was yiking on me and I panic and turn around quickly only to hit my head on the rim of the metal. And so i leave and I tell Mr. Riley how it essentially smells like B.O. and bad choices, which he relayed to Kalvin and Ms. Sullivan who also found it funny and said it was so true. I and still remember how loud Mr. Riley laughed, it was funny. Anyway as it was reaching the end of the dance my mother and sister call me to see when the party ends and tell them 10:30pm and that there is also clean up, to which they essentially did not understand between each other. My mother as going to call Alex to pick me up since father was going to bed. And at this time, Mattie left because he didn’t like a lot of dancing and so Lauren looked a bit sad, and I tried to cheer her up but it didn’t work. Anyway when she heard about my dilemma, she offered to drive me home since she couldn’t that one time it was almost raining but she was late for work so she couldn’t give me a ride but luckily for me it didn’t rain on me. It made me very happy. So then I call my mother to tell her the news and she said it was fine. So then we all started to clean up. I also called Amanda to tell her I was sorry that i left at the last several minutes because Ms. Sullivan asked me if I could check to see if the dumpsters were open which they were and then we told each other good night. Soon after Cassidy, LJ, and I move a table to the little theater and Lauren asks me if I am going to the Prom to which said yes and she gets all excited and I tell her I am going with Maria and Amanda. I also told her that my sister was going to help me rent a tux and she says “aw” and goes all goo goo about thinking of me in a tux going to prom with two girls. It was funny ad made me happy. So after we were dismissed Lauren and I head to her truck while Cassidy went to her car so she could follow Lauren so after I was dropped off they could get some food. I wish I could have gone along, I have $20 in my wallet but my parents wouldn’t have let me out later than that dance. So anyway I tell her the usual directions, straight down the road, lake a left at the fork then turn left at the 7/11 and it’s the apartment complex with the cross on it next to the big ass tree. She drove into the driveway of the next apartment complex by accident but it was fine because that one was a path that went around easily, vs having to turn around in the small parking lot of my complex. Anyway since the fence is basically missing I just walked over after saying thanks and good night. In hindsight I should have given her a hug but I was too happy about what transpired today. I’ll give her one next time I see her. So anyway I get inside my home and take a shower and stuff then I text her thanking her for the ride, and now I’m off to bed early on a free night, because my legs are damn sore and my lower back hurts like fucking hell. So good night, great story wasn’t it? Lol, see ya. I’ll leave you with a picture of the dance.

@sourfilm: where have you been?
where have you been? [where are you going? you wonder if there is anywhere left to go, if somewhere far from here the pastures are still green, the water flows tranquil blue and there is peace; far unalike the decaying grass, rotting flesh doesn’t do much for the soil, you weren’t sure anything would grow there again–] be the forbidden fruit, or an ear of corn, you didn’t have the heart to say that the tilled soil would not provide over the harsh winters, or beneath the scorching sun. not there, not where land is desiccated, a quick flick of the blade or one of the hundreds of shots fired overhead. you were your father’s light, flickering/not yet extinguished. but you can’t help but shudder the way he clutches fist around Book, as if it could still contain the answers. every prayer you had whispered from day one was left unanswered, the clouds a barrier to your pleas [you kept them in a barn, fed them. had it been naive to truly believe that they would come back to you?] that it was a disease spreading over the land, one of four horsemen. it was the price you paid, for your sins, for every misdeed. had believed it was just God reminding humanity of the price they had already paid. and so solitude had become your normal, sat behind bars cooing at a child who had not learnt her mother’s face, how grief would forever be a part of her beating heart. it helps you pretend that nothing is wrong: opposed to staring out at the trees, how you did not truly know the family that now surrounds you, but knew the person that they had to become.
sat on the stairs, you watched him. tried to imagine who he was before, if he and maggie had met before, would you know each of glenn's secrets over hushed giggles of sisters reunited in the summer sun? chin rests on hand, a smile overcoming lips— “exploring. we should really fix the hole before winter or else we’ll freeze.” it had been hours, you knew you shouldn’t disappear for that long, but others left the safety of the walls for much longer, you could not shake that same restlessness; the horrors of what was out there not unknown but unrecognised. you wanted to know, you wanted to see what they see. “maggie wouldn’t take me with her.”

@amygone: you're just making it worse.
the sky was empty, your prayers had gone unanswered now for months. come flood or famine, [or the dead rising from their graves; familiar faces now bloodied foes] there was an answer, somewhere between the lines of pages you had read for years in the aftermath of father's sobriety. the truth could be found, the answers you were so desperately searching for as to why, why palms bleed with solemn prayer, splintered wood of bat dug into tender flesh as if the front pew of the old church, worn away from years of use and growing pressure. heaven's children murmur about your loss of faith, a growing vacancy in the rattling of your ribcage. what is there to do now with all that empty space? the oblivion now inside you that was once golden turned black. you do not know how to carry on like this, the mantra telling yourself that you were in fact strong, that you knew how to navigate this changing world was dying on your tongue, shrivelled moth in the back of your throat the sign of decay in pit of stomach. there are cracks growing in the sidewalk, and you think that you could spend the seasons watching as flowers attempt to split it further, sprouting in the spring before the fall chill brings the cycle to a natural end; and you will watch as the weeds thrive, how they will quickly outnumber the flowers and grow beyond the asphalt. there is something in that that you almost find funny, but it is lost as you name the newest bloom after yourself, and you will return each day praying for its survival as if the flora was inexplicably linked to your own still beating heart.
and so amy's words proved frustrating, you didn't know what you could do; untapped potential could be just beneath the surface, waiting for skin to break and reveal your true self, hidden strength beneath the first layer of flesh. fingers fidget with weapon, still heavy and unfamiliar in your hands— no one had trusted you before. naivety of youth bled into your words, into your hope as if incurable haemophilia. “i'm trying to help. just—tell me what to do. please.” you wanted to go home, not that the walls still stood, the embers had burned long through that night and the smoke carried on til winter. but the people fashioned into comfort, into something you could call home— they were out there. “if you just tell me what you need then i can do it instead of blindly guessing and doing it wrong. i want to help.”
#int: beth greene#amygone#ok kind of vague but reading ur verses! could be possible that instead of ending up in the prison in s5 beth ended up near/in amy's dads-#compound??? idk idk im spitballing here <3

a flaw that also brushed your skin for the first time years before, a gentle hand extended to even the darkest of wolves, as if daring for it to try and bite the only tender gesture its seen in years. beth greene was good, perfectly pious like the rows of pews beckon you home, the similar stained oak overtaking your senses like it still held God between its walls, like the church didn’t creak and crack with every movement in its old soul, as if you weren’t sure of wayward angels hiding in the attic, waiting to reveal themselves should the moment be right. because goodness and mercy followed you at every step in your life, offered you a relieve in the darkest of moments, where blessed wheat turned liquid sour, a poison to the man you call father through blood, the Father through spirit returned him to you a changed man, pages clutched to both your chests like an anchor even now. your skin is white and unblemished, the tender flesh of God dirtied but not harmed. digits fiddle with cross resting on collarbone, as if the contact with cool metal would bring you closer, like it did not still hurt to wear in wake of the destruction of the earth; you could not still believe that there was something coming next. this was it, there will be no salvation, the muddied paths and boarded up windows is all that was left, the rubble of your childhood home just another victim in its wake.
“is it a flaw?” or were you just used to golden auras hidden beneath all that red? that should the light hit someone just right, they too will have their moment of glory? you had been cracked down the middle and light spilled, perfectly golden against the asphalt, like you could inspire daisies to push their way through concrete and dazzle under the hot august moon? if you cannot see the good left, you do not know what else was left for you, to live a life constantly looking over shoulder, as if every friend had a hidden dagger beneath coat. there is a still-beating heart to humanity, and you were going to look for it every day that you still walked the earth. it is a smile now, that you offer to tyreese, as if you know something that he doesn’t, that your eighteen summers outweighed the forty-six winters he had weathered. you had not had time yet to harden, to leave the safety net of family and familiarity. “doesn’t everyone deserve to have the good be seen? that rough edges aren’t all that they are?” bloodied glint of a blade, a ricocheted bullet. “i see the good in you. you’re a good person, tyreese.”
