So with both the Playstation and Xbox showcases having wrapped, along with a few others, I thought that I should share some gaming news:
Star Wars Outlaws
I seriously did not expect this game at all. And it looks phenomenal! I'm thrilled that they're turning away from the usual Rebellion-Empire, Jedi storylines that we've seen recently and are going towards a gunslinger, smuggler point of view this time around. And from the gameplay shown, this is basically Red Dead Redemption 2 in Star Wars form. The only concern is that this is developed by Ubisoft, which has a reputation for downgrading their games after post-production and hasn't done a lot of innovation in their latest games.
Starfield
I know there is a lot riding on this game, especially for the current Xbox generation. But this game isn't going to make me buy a new Xbox any time soon, mainly because this game looks and feels generic at best. And it has the same game mechanics as No Man's Sky, a game that you could get for 50% when it goes on sale frequently. Or if you just want a Space RPG, then just get The Outer Worlds for $20.
I honestly don't know why people preordering this game in droves, particularly because Bethesda has released really buggy games while also having absurd microtransactions. But since Microsoft owns them now, I'm also having my doubts since one of Microsoft's studios just released perhaps one of the worst disastrous launches in gaming history a little over a month ago. Also, it's locked at 30 frames per second, so if I get a Series X, it's not going to take advantage of the hardware. So, I'll wait until the reviews come in, or at the very least, it goes on sale.
Xbox Series S Carbon Black
It's simply the Series S, just in black. However, it has 1TB of storage instead of 512GB. And it only costs $350. So $50 more for an extra 500GB? This is a really great budget deal in my opinion if you want to upgrade to the current generation of consoles without breaking the bank.
CRKD Nitro Deck
So this is a Switch accessory, but if you want to make your Switch look like a Steam Deck, this is it. However, you don't have to worry about stick drift, it has reprogrammable back buttons, and you can customize the joysticks.
Also, it comes in a limited edition Gamecube colorway, which is really nostalgic for Nintendo fans.
Im gonna be honest i don’t know either game so i hade to research lol 😂 but they both do look really cool I’ve only every played Star Wars Fallen Order but outlaws looks pretty fun, i would definitely like to check it out. Star Field looks sick!! Omg the graphics, but from the trailer it looks like a shooting game am i wrong? I don’t play games like that anymore i used to play stuff like gta san andres or cod in high school but i wasn’t v good tbh 😂. Auto aim is my bestie is all I’ll say haha. I don’t know much about game mechanics or frame rates so i can’t say much there sorry. You can educate me if you want lol. Also I’ve heard of a steam deck and seen it idk what it does? I looked up the nitro deck and i love the gamecube skin, i still have my gamecube and controls 🥹 once i know what it is ill think about purchasing it lol

Pairings: Natasha Romanoff x reader
Summary:
You’re not like most people who enjoys Valentine’s Day. Can a certain redhead change that?
A/n: just a late valentine related imagine for all of u bc I’m incapable of posting this sort of stuff on the exact day. enjoy! (I’m finally using this iconic gif don’t mind me)

The 14th of February is just another normal day for you. You always find Valentine’s Day cheesy, you don’t see the point of celebrating it. That sort of thing isn’t as important as Christmas or Halloween. Not that you're bitter because you're single, you couldn’t care less about that, it just isn’t the occasion for you.
Tony outdone it this year. The compound looks like it was powdered pink and red overnight from all the decorations when you step out of your room. You almost don’t want to know what the main area looks like. Sam and Wanda are probably getting started on breakfast which would consist of everything shaped like hearts.
Your plan for the day is to stay in your room, only coming out for snack and drink refills, simple as that.
“Hey, Happy Valentine’s...” you pretty much tone out every v-day greeting that came your way, rolling your eyes playfully as you sit down with everyone, greeting them with the usual good morning. You expect the compound to be deserted by midday since surely all of them have plans with their partners for the rest of the day, which is perfect. For you. And for them, of course, yeah.
Sam and Bucky made their way to you. “So, Y/N, how are you?” Sam greets. You already suspect that they were hyping you up for something. “Food good, coffee good... sleep well?”
You turn to them with a smile on your face. “Alright, what do you want?”
“Well,” Bucky lets out a breathy laugh. “Sam here was just helping me-”
“That is not what’s happening. What he wanted to say was,” the birdman cuts him off. “We both wanted to take you out to dinner tonight, we can’t settle on who, so we’re letting you pick.”
You blink. They have to be joking. Do they not notice your routine during this time of the year? After socializing with the team you’d grab a day’s worth of snack, head back to your room, lock the door and lose your mind on video games until the next day.
Unhealthy, but it's for one day.
“Only if you want to,” Bucky adds hastily.
“Come on, this is a chance of a lifetime!” Sam insists, wiggling his eyebrows.
“We’ll go to your favorite restaurant.”
“It’s just a friendly date.”
What you fail to notice was Natasha listening to the events happening. Her foot taps against the floor as she discreetly waits for your response, taking coffee sips and bites of food and looking away whenever she looked like she's eavesdropping. No one else is paying attention, everyone has their own conversations.
Inside, she pleads that you’d turn both of them down, just because she’s planning to ask you out herself. They just beat her to it.
“I appreciate the thought but I’m sorry, I have plans,” you shrug. “Why don’t you take each other out instead? Not literally.” You give them another smile and walk out of the room, coffee in hand.
Sam and Bucky nods indicating they understood. Sam tells his friend that if he had more appeal you’d agree to the date. But they take you up on your advice, already planning a guy’s night.
Natasha almost cheers when she hears the first part, only to spiral when she hears that someone had already asked you beforehand. You're unavailable. She could ask you out any day, but you deserve something extra special. She sees this day as her only chance to confess her feelings for you.
Her eyes trail you as you walk out, turning to Wanda when you were out of sight. “Do you have any idea who asked Y/N out?”
“I don’t,” Wanda replies, a bit distracted. “They’re lucky, I’ve never seen Y/N show interest in anyone since I met her. Anyway, I have to go, Vision and I have a whole day planned...”
Natasha huffs while people slowly file out of the kitchen. As far as she knows, Tony's with Pepper, of course, Wanda and Vision, Steve is probably going to join Sam and Bucky on their night out, and Clint is back at his farm celebrating with his wife.
And you’re with that person, which most likely someone who isn’t on the team otherwise she’d know. She's left by herself to mope.

Few hours have passed, maybe three, it’s lunchtime. As you suspected the compound is empty, so you make your way to the kitchen to make yourself something to eat.
Boxed mac and cheese is the only thing you knew how to make.
“Y/N?”
You almost drop your stirring spoon at the sudden voice. You feel embarrassed about your choice of outfit, you feel and look like a grizzly bear while she looks stunning, even if it’s just plain workout clothes.
“Hey, Nat.”
“I thought you were... out with someone?” Knowing you, she might’ve misunderstood when you said you ‘had plans’. You look so cozy she would love to hug you on the spot if she isn’t so sweaty.
You let out a curious hum, turning off the stove. “I was?” You giggle. “Where’d you hear that?”
“I didn’t, just, I assumed you’d be,” she mutters and finishes her water bottle.
You're now grabbing a bowl for the mac and cheese you made. “I mean, Sam and Bucky did ask me if I wanted to but... y’know, if I’m being honest they’re not really my type.” You pause to look at her who was staring back. “Have you eaten? This batch I made is enough for three people, I think.”
Natasha nods at your offer. “They did say it was a friendly date.”
You stop scooping the macaroni and perk your head up with a grin. “So you were listening.”
“Not like I had any choice, I was in the same room.” Quick save.
“Mmhm.”
Then there's a minute of comfy silence as you clean the area you made the meal on, putting the pot away and stuff.
“Why don’t you have a date today?”
“What?”
“Anyone would kill to go on a date with you, Nat.” Is what you say in your head. But instead you say, “Well, you know, I didn’t expect you be here too.”
Natasha shrugs and before she could answer you add, “No one’s caught the notorious Black Widow’s attention yet?”
She chuckles at your words, looking up at you. “Who did you think I’d go out with?”
“I dunno, Steve-”
“God, no,” she quickly cuts you off and laugh, you laugh along but at the same time sigh in relief.
“Crap, I just remembered I have a game to finish,” you hold the bowl of cheese and macaroni and stick two spoons on the side. “I’m cordially inviting you to my room, you are very much welcome, after you change.”
Natasha tells you she’ll see you there in a bit.

“Huh. I just noticed you do this every Valentine’s Day,” Natasha notes as she takes everything in. Your PlayStation's on, your trash bin is almost full of snack wrappings, couple of beers tucked at the side of your bed. “Cozy.”
“Why, thank you,” you say sarcastically, picking up a controller and waving a vacant one at her. “Feel free. Or you can just watch me fail at this game.”
Natasha decides to join the game a little later, now she's lost in thought on how someone like you spends such a day like this, or how beautiful you looked as your eyes dart at every direction of the screen and how you sometimes bite your lip when you're that focused in the game.
It's always the little things she likes about you.
Glancing at you one more time before eating a spoonful of mac, she turns back to the TV to watch how you're doing.
But you're witty, kind and easy to get along with, why wouldn’t you have a date - or why wouldn’t you want a date on Valentine’s Day?
If only you knew how she feels, she’d make sure to treat you well. Like you deserve. She’d take you on dates you’d enjoy every time the 14th rolls by. If you don’t like the holiday for some reason she’d find a way-
“NO WAY,” you cover your mouth and bump your head to Natasha’s shoulder in defeat, making her come back from her trance to look at the big red words on the screen, indicating you lost. “I almost had it!”
Natasha leans into your touch and pats your back. “You can try again.”
You groan. “I definitely will but for now, I’m gonna take a break.”
“Great,” she shifts a bit to get comfy, switching to Netflix and choosing whatever’s trending right now. “I’m just curious but, do you like someone?”
You hum in response, sipping on a beer, not completely processing what she said. “I - yeah. I guess so,” you tug the blanket closer and pout at the movie that’s on. You don’t like romance movies. You always prefer an action or a mystery one any day. “Do you?”
Natasha feels her heart ache for a moment. “Yeah. She’s kind and sweet, goofy but can still seriously kick your ass type.” Your eyes land to her hands. You knew fully well Natasha isn’t straight, she admitted and definitely doesn’t act like it. “There’s just something about her that makes me... love her.”
“She sounds great,” you mumble, starting to get lost in your own thoughts. “I guess I just-” you hesitate, just because the woman you're about to describe is the same one sitting next to you. “I feel bad for her that someone like me likes her.”
“Why would you think that?” Natasha chuckles, shaking her head.
You shrug. “She’s amazing. So out of my league, I’d say she’s so close but so far away but that would be really cheesy and ugly,” you laugh. “I don’t know, she deserves way better.”
Natasha hums. “Sometimes I think she needs to her worth, because what she doesn’t know is, she’s very much amazing in her own way.”
Looking up at her from her shoulder, your eyes light up and you don’t know when it happened, but you just found her lips pressed against yours softly.
Even if it was just a short kiss you feel breathless when she pulls away to look at you again.
“Just so we’re clear, we’re just describing each other like idiots right?”
“Yeah.”
Natasha leans in to kiss you again.

Tooley Street was always busy, whether there were a horde of people walking to and from the riverside and underground, or cars driving by at a ridiculous speed. London Bridge station on the other side of the road to where Y/N and the gang sat at Caffé Nero, looked like a small insect in comparison to The Shard that reached like a pillar above the partly cloudy winter sky. The blue painted brick building beside it, The Shipwright Arms pub, was a lively addition to an otherwise very bleak street.
The winter wind by the riverside was horrendous, but Y/N had offered to come with Annalise on her cigarette break, so she had only herself to blame for exposing herself to more of the biting cold than completely necessary. From where the two were sitting, they could just make out Tower Bridge behind them, bare trees rising up along the streets that indicated summer was long gone and winter had arrived.
Y/N had spent a lot of time just sitting outside the last few days. Whether it was on a bench by Regent’s Canal, in the grass at Shoreditch Park, or at a table outside a café with a coffee in hand. She had just been sitting there, staring out at nothing. Thinking. All she had been doing since finding that watch was think.
She had tried to find some kind of logical explanation as to why that watch had the coordinates for her family’s Newport cabin, but there was none. What kind of connection did George have to Newport? To that cabin? Had he just fucked her and left it there because he knew who Y/N’s sister was? And where was George now? She had not seen him since that night in October, was he still around? Or had Y/N just missed him when he had been, and this had all just been a huge coincidence. But Y/N somehow knew, deep down, that this was far from a coincidence and she should not treat it as one.
“You have to come to Monnickendam,” Annalise said, blowing out a puff of white smoke.
Y/N looked away from a man across the street who was arguing passionately with someone on his phone. Shoving the thoughts of the watch that was laid on her desk in her room, out of her head. She had not told anyone about it, this was not something she wanted everyone to know about because she had no idea what it meant. The only person that knew was Harry, and she would like to keep it that way.
“I’ve never been to the Netherlands,” Y/N said.
“Even more of a reason to come.”
Y/N smiled. “Buzzing. I haven’t travelled much in Europe, mostly been to Brazil with my family.”
“When you come to Monnickendam, we have to take the train to, like, Germany or France. Andorra is also so beautiful, I think you’re gonna love it.”
“Make a roadtrip out of it.”
“Exactly.”
Y/N’s smile grew. “Had you been to London before you came here for school?”
Annalise brought the cigarette up to her mouth. “Loads of times.”
“Really?”
“Yes, we went here around Easter in 2012 the first time, and I fell in love. Went here four more times, then to an Open Day last year.”
Y/N nodded. “Was Helmond your first choice then? Did you like it the best?”
“No, Battersea was, but I’m happy I ended up at Helmond.” Annalise breathed out white vapour. “Helmond’s prettier.”
Y/N laughed. “The aesthetic is more important than the uni itself, innit? If you can’t take decent Instagram pictures there, what’s the point of spending the next three years at that place?”
Annalise laughed along with Y/N, taking a last drag. “I rarely use Instagram.”
“I used to. I loved to like document my life, to let all my friends and family know what I was doing at all times. But then I found Snapchat, and it’s just better.”
“You know that if you, like, save a picture or video in the Snapchat app, Snapchat owns it?”
Y/N blinked.
“At least what someone at home told me once.”
“Doesn’t Instagram do the same?” Y/N asked.
“Think so,” Annalise said, walking over to the litter and stumping her cigarette out in the ash tray on top of it. “Ground rule: don’t save anything onto social media. Anyone can save and see your pictures.”
“Basically,” Y/N mumbled, looking over at the man she had watched earlier. He was still arguing with someone over the phone.
“Ready to head back inside?” Annalise asked.
“Yeah.” Y/N got up and the two strolled back over to the Caffé Nero their three other mates were sat in. Thian, Hayden, and Chloe were all sat with their laptops in front of them and books in the centre of the table behind their screens. Chloe was talking animatedly as Y/N and Annalise approached, Hayden busy with something on the laptop in front of them while Thian sat with a book in his hands, looking at Chloe as she spoke. Y/N took off her puffer jacket, hanging it off the back of her chair as she sat down, adjusting her black V-neck jumper and loose denim jeans.
“…the problem isn’t that. The problem is the fact that they never clean up after themselves. That’s the problem,” Chloe said, groaning loudly. “And when I ask in the flat groupchat if anyone wanna be social, no one answers. I swear, all of them hate me.”
“Maybe they’re just busy,” Thian suggested.
“They always say that, but I know two of the boys are in Dave’s room playing something on that PlayStation.” Chloe crossed her arms over her chest. “Should I learn how to play FIFA?”
“You don’t have to impress them,” Y/N said, turning her laptop back on to finish the essay for Critical Reading that was due that Friday.
“No, I know. But if I want to hang out with anyone in my flat, I gotta do something. What games do you play in the PlayStation, Thian?”
Thian stared at Chloe for a second, mouth working before he mumbled, “I didn’t bring one to uni.”
“Alright, then what did you play at home?”
“Call of Duty.”
Chloe scrunched up her nose. “Isn’t that a war game?”
“Yeah.”
“Nah, I’m not into that.” Chloe grimaced, looking at something further away. “I’ve never really played PlayStation. One of the blokes I dated in college gamed a lot, but I couldn’t be asked to sit around and just watch.”
“The three in my flat play GTA,” Y/N said. “At least that’s what Nathan wants to play, Harry and Mason just go along.”
Chloe’s face instantly lit up. “Oh, my word, Y/N. You have to make Harry teach me how to play something on the PlayStation.”
There was a slight pang in Y/N’s chest at the sound of his name leaving Chloe’s lips in that way. Y/N opened, then closed her mouth, then opened it again. “I don’t really hang out with them when they play it. I’ve had so much to do these past months.”
“That’s fine, Nathan can keep us company,” Chloe said, leaning back in her seat. “Make Mason come, too. God-“ She grinned, letting her head fall between her shoulder blades. “-Your flatmates are fit.”
“Harry’s fitter than Mason,” Hayden chimed in.
“No, definitely Mason,” Annalise said.
“I can’t choose. Depends on my mood,” Chloe mused.
Thian kept quiet, staring pointedly at his laptop.
“Can you do it? Make them teach me?” Chloe begged, sticking her bottom lip out at Y/N.
Y/N took a deep breath. “I’ll try.”
Chloe grinned.
“They might be busy, too. Might not get to it till after Christmas break.”
Chloe waved her hand. “That’s fine. I just want to hang out with someone from my flat eventually.”
Y/N glanced down at her laptop again, trying to forget the conversation she had just had with the other three. Chloe continued chattering on about something of no significance, Y/N did not care to listen as she wanted to finish her essay before she had to leave for home coming Saturday. Though her coffee was cold now as she took a sip of it, Y/N still appreciated the taste of caffeine. It woke her up, made her more alert and focused.
Ever since she was seven years old, her papai had made her coffee to drink. He always said “coffee is as vital to a Brazilian’s existence as tea is to a Brit’s” and she had drunk it ever since. She loved the taste of it much more than tea, but seeing as tea was much easier to make, she had come to resort to it here in London. Home in Nottingham, there was always a brew in the making or one ready for whoever felt like having a cup, made with a proper coffee machine that Davi had invested proper money in. He had bought it back in 2001, and it worked just as well as it did back then. Y/N, like her papai, loved the coffee from that old coffee maker more than anything else. She could not wait until she was home with her parents so she could drink proper coffee all the time without going to the nearest coffee shop to do so. The instant coffee Nathan often made smelled and tasted rank, Y/N would have no other coffee than her papai’s and a cup made at a coffee shop.
“I’m gonna go buy a muff,” Hayden said, getting up from their chair. “This essay is doing my head in, I need something to sooth the pain.”
“Oh, could you buy me a scone?” Thian asked, putting his hands together as if he was begging on his knees. “I’ll pay with five stellar knock knock jokes.”
“Make it six.”
“Deal.”
The two shook hands and Hayden grinned as they looked at the other three. “Anything from the trolley, dears?”
Y/N and Annalise chuckled. “No thanks,” Y/N said, Annalise saying the same thing.
“No, I’ll just add to this,” Chloe said, patting at her stomach.
“Add to what?” Hayden asked.
“A belly.” Chloe gripped the little that was protruding from her tight denim jeans. “I’m trying to start working out for bikini season, to remove that extra uni weight, you know?”
Hayden looked absolutely lost, so did Thian, and Annalise looked to not be paying any attention at all. Y/N, however, felt a familiar pang in her chest. It was a small explosion she had felt before, one that would taint the rest of her day. Instinctively, she put her scarf around her chest, letting it fall over her stomach.
Hayden did not comment, instead they just walked up to the till, ready to tell the lady working there their order. The table fell silent, but not for the reason Y/N wanted it to. No, they were all just busy with their essays. Y/N knew that it would be impossible for her to concentrate on the assignment now that the only thing she would be thinking about for the rest of the day was Chloe’s comment. Chancing a look over at her friend, she saw her flicking through a book in her lap, completely unbothered, Annalise was cocking her head to the side as she wrote something on her Mac, while Thian was watching Hayden pay for their food. None of them had batted an eyelash. Which was nothing new, Y/N was used to no one picking up on covered up fatphobic comments.
She knew that Chloe had not said those things with her in mind, that the statement had been about her own body only. But Y/N could not help but feel the comment in her very soul. She could remember her mates from school in Nottingham making comments similar to that one, so hearing it wasn’t alien, but it stung as much as hearing it that first time.
“Here we go,” Hayden said, putting the scone down on Thian’s keyboard.
“Scones are so bloody good,” Thian moaned, taking a huge bite out of his. “If we had to fuck a food, I’d fuck scones.”
The table went quiet, all looking at Thian. He just continued on eating, humming some Alesso and Conor Maynard song that was always playing on the radio.
“Why did you just say that?” Hayden asked.
“Felt like sharing my thoughts with the class.”
Hayden raised their eyebrows before looking at the laptop in front of them. “The class did not need to know.”
Thian shrugged his shoulders and Annalise laughed, Chloe joining in after a little while. Y/N smiled at them, but her thoughts still drifted back to Chloe’s comments just a minute earlier. She spread her scarf out over her stomach, wishing she had worn something that wasn’t so tight fitted.

“Sorry we’re late,” Mason said as him and the rest of the rugby team streamed into the seminar room. Hayden, Y/N, Thian, Chloe, Annalise, Nathan, and Annalise’s two friends were all sat around one table, already having started a round of Uno.
“Oh, don’t worry,” Hayden smiled. “I’ve put Uno decks on the other tables.”
“Cheers.”
Mason and the rest of the team sat down, all chatting amongst themselves and letting go of heavy sighs as they took their seats. It was clear that the last training session for the team this year had not only been cold, but also immensely tiring. They all looked very ready to travel home for Christmas break, and it looked like a few already had.
Y/N felt their struggle with the cold. She herself was wearing a mini linen skater dress in black. The skirt was loose, making it comfortable to hide her belly in – she had not stopped thinking about Chloe’s comment all week, but it would not stop her from looking really fucking good – and the waist was open, baring some of her skin and rib tattoo to everyone. Her skin protruded around the straps that were wrapped around her waist, connecting her skirt from her top, but there was nothing she could do about it, so she just tried to stay out of Chloe’s vision. The plunge neck revealed a very deep cleavage and skin, making it so Y/N had put on two silver necklaces to top of the outfit. The rest of the top had long sleeves and a nice collar, which was why Y/N had bought the dress. It was slutty, but in a modest way.
The rest of the gang around the table had also dressed up, ready to go out after this. They all had their last lecture of the semester today, meaning that their Christmas break had just started, and they wanted to celebrate before everyone travelled to their separate locations the next day. Chloe to Oxford, Thian to Bristol, Hayden to Sheffield, Annalise to Monnickendam, and Y/N back home to Nottingham. It would be weird not to meet up with them, to not go to lectures and stress about assignments for the next month. Then again, Annalise had made a Snapchat and Messenger group to ensure that the gang would talk every single day. And knowing her mates, Y/N was sure they would.
During a break between rounds, Y/N got up from their table after making sure that her polyamide shorts underneath her dress didn’t roll down her stomach. She wore them to prevent chafing, knowing that if she did not wear them underneath her skirt, it would be hard for her to wear anything the next day. She did the zip of her chunky sock boots before making her way over to Mason’s table.
“Alright, Y/N?” Mason said as she came closer, giving her a small smile.
“How’re you lot finding the society?” she asked, looking around the table, meeting Kai’s eyes.
Kai beamed. “Good, it’s nice to spend some time with the whole team off the rugby pitch.”
“You’re dressed up,” Mason pointed out. “What’s the occasion?”
“Uno Society.”
Mason smiled. “Trying to pull some rugby players, are ya?”
“No. No, rugby players.”
Mason only raised his eyebrows as if he didn’t believe her, smile widening.
She narrowed her eyes at him. “You’re just as unbearable as Harry sometimes.”
“Nah, Harry’s worse than me.”
“Right.” Y/N took a big breath. “Chloe over there, the blonde,” Y/N said, motioning behind her with a nod of her head. Mason’s gaze immediately fell on Chloe. “She’s wondering if you and Harry can teach her how to play the PlayStation.”
Mason blinked, looking over at Kai as the bigger man clapped his hands together before laughing.
“Is that funny?” Y/N asked.
“No, it’s not. I just knew Kai would react like that,” Mason said. “But I’ll do it. After Christmas at some point.”
“Nice, I’ll tell her that, then.”
“Why does she need someone to teach her how to play PlayStation?” Kai asked, and though there was laughter in his voice, Y/N could tell his question was sincere.
“Some blokes in her flat never want to be social, they just stay in this one room playing PlayStation, and she’s kinda left out ‘cause she doesn’t really know how to play.”
“That might not work out,” Kai said, smiling still.
“Worth a shot, either way.”
“Maybe she just wanna spend time with this hunk,” Kai grinned, putting a hand on Mason’s shoulder. “Or the other hunk that’s not here.”
“Speaking of him,” Y/N said, putting a hand on her hip. “Not that I care, but where is he?”
Kai grinned, sitting back in his chair. “You don’t care? Not at all?”
“No, Y/N doesn’t like Harry much,” Mason explained, completely unbothered. “He’s working. The team’s popping by The Stag’s Head later to check on him since it’s his last shift and all that.”
Y/N nodded, suddenly remembering how Harry had told her that a few weeks ago.
“What’s the bellend done to you?” Kai asked.
“Another time, Kai. We’re in the middle of a round,” Mason said. “I’ll find a day that’s good for Chloe to come over.”
“Wicked,” Y/N smiled. “See ya.”
“Later, mate.”
Y/N walked back to her table, sitting down in her seat again. “Sorry,” she said when Hayden gave her a look. “Chloe, Mason said he could teach you how to play PlayStation sometime after Christmas break.”
Chloe squealed. “Really?!”
“Yeah, he’ll text me saying when.”
“Ahh! Buzzing!”
Y/N gave her a smile before the gang went back to playing.
Though she was physically present over the next hour or so, Y/N’s mind travelled back to the flat and the watch on her desk. Besides assignments, Christmas, and what Chloe said on Tuesday, that was all Y/N had spent her time thinking about. She would be in bed, about to go to sleep, then just get out of her bed and look at the watch, study it carefully. Maybe there was another message of sorts on it, maybe she was supposed to do something with it. But other days she did not want to touch that watch. There was something about it, something about how it had just been left in her possession so casually, something about the fact that she had not seen George since that night, that did not sit right with Y/N at all.
Throughout the rest of the night, after the Uno Society, while the gang was sat at a pub, and then dancing at a club later, Y/N could not bring herself to enjoy herself thoroughly. All her energy went back to that watch. She wanted to understand what it meant, why George had it, and what she was supposed to do with the information. Was she even supposed to do anything at all? It only made her want to travel down to Newport even more. She had to now. Her parents might think about getting rid of that cabin, but Y/N had to revisit it one last time before that happened.
Y/N did not drink that night; she was afraid of the conspiracy theories she would form if she did. She had one cocktail at the pub they went to, but could not do more than that, and her mates did not ask questions as to why she was not drinking, something she really appreciated. It was late when she announced she would be going home, and so she called Nathan and made him stay on the line with her as she took the tube back to Haggerston Station. Once she reached Orsman Road, she could hear his snores on the other end, and hung up halfway down the road to the flat. However, in the distance, she saw a stag’s head sign hanging out on a metal pole, protruding from the building opposite her flat building. She suddenly remembered what Mason said, and crossed the road, making her way over to the pub.
A small group of lads made their way out of the pub as Y/N reached it, the last one holding the door for her. She smiled and thanked him before walking inside. Now that she wasn’t affected by alcohol, Y/N was finally able to take in the pub properly without having the slight haze of alcohol taint it. The lights were comfortably dimmed, not too much so you could not read the menu, but just enough so that a person’s facial features would be a tad blurry. The red that ran along the wall behind the dark bar counter was subtle, giving the bar a sense of holding onto the secrets of each person who walked through the front doors, like a Victorian murder mystery. Y/N could see Sweeney Todd’s barber shop trapped in the same colours.
“Excuse me, miss,” a man walking out from behind the counter said, grey hair and broad shoulders. “We’re closed.”
“Oh,” she said, looking around the dark pub. “I… I thought I might find Harry here.”
The man narrowed his eyes a little. “He’s got a new girlfriend? So soon after the other ones?”
Y/N felt herself narrow her eyes back at the man. Girlfriend? Harry’s had girlfriends – plural – since he started working in The Stag’s Head? There was a very strange combination of a lot of different feelings that swarmed around Y/N’s body, suddenly making her feel seasick. She was about to abort her mission, to say she would just catch Harry at home, when there came a voice from the door leading out into the smoking area.
“Y/N,” Harry said, turning the lights off outside and closing the door. It looked as if he could not quite believe his eyes as he saw her standing there, like he had not thought she would ever show up to his work like this. Without seemingly able to help himself, his green eyes fell down to her green dress and her exposed legs. He quickly looked to his other co-worker, clearing his throat as he walked behind the pub counter. Y/N could swear she saw a slight pink hue to his cheekbones.
“I’ll leave if you’re busy.”
“No,” Harry said, the word coming out a little too quickly as if desperation got the better of him. “No. Not busy.”
The grey-haired man raised his eyebrows at Harry. He must have seen something in Harry’s demeanour, because he said, “You’ll be alright to close up on your own?”
Harry smiled. “It’ll be a nice way to end my time at Stag’s Head.”
“Nice,” the man Y/N now suspected was Harry’s boss, said. “Pop by with the keys tomorrow, will ya?”
“Yes, sir.”
The man gave both Harry and Y/N a smile each before he started on his walk up to his office. The pub was suddenly very quiet, not a single sound came from inside, just the distant siren outside and the low buzz of the city. A place that was usually bustling with noise, energy, and anticipation, was now left with the latter. Y/N looked around the place, unsure of what to do with herself now that it was only her and Harry there. Harry watched her, picking up the Cif spray from where it stood under the counter. She felt his gaze on her as she walked along the booths, touching the red velvet cushions, a rush of goosebumps travelling up her spine at the knowledge that she had his full attention.
She turned around, leaning her bum against a table as she took in the liquor behind Harry. He was washing the counter, looking over at Y/N again, eyes falling to her mid-area that was expanded slightly at the pressure the surface behind her was providing. He quickly looked away again, biting his lips together as he focused on the counter in front of him. Y/N could not help a small smile.
“What made you show up to my work, then?” he asked.
“Can’t a friend show up to another friend’s work?”
Harry let out a strangled chuckle. “Alright. That’s very nice of you, but I don’t buy that for a single second.”
Y/N raised her eyebrows. “You don’t?”
“There’s gotta have been another reason as to why.”
“Okay…? What’s that?”
Harry shrugged his shoulder, spraying more Cif onto the counter. “You were bored. You didn’t want to be around your other mates any longer. You wanted to see a delicious man with an irresistible Northern accent clean up a pub since it’s his last shift ever here tonight.”
Y/N let out a laugh, placing her hands on either side of the table beside her. “None of the above.”
“Alright,” Harry said, coming out from behind the pub. “What didn’t I cover?”
“You weren’t at the Uno Society meeting.”
The answer came so effortlessly, as if her subconscious had been holding onto the answer for Y/N until she was strong enough to know the real reason. Her hands instantly gripped the table harder, feeling embarrassed for admitting vulnerability so easily. She blamed how easy it was to talk to him, how he just seemed to throw a lasso around her deepest secrets, her most private desires, and drag them out of her.
Harry looked over at her from where he was cleaning the tables a bit further away in the pub. “Had work. Would’ve been there if I didn’t have to be here.”
She nodded, looking down at her black boots. For some reason, his words warmed something inside her. Hearing someone care about something she cared about made her feel special. Then again, someone she just met on the street could tell her they hated Marmite, something Y/N also did, and she would feel equally as fuzzy inside. Finding small bonds, small preferences, small somethings that connected you to other people, made you feel like you weren’t alone, but it also made you feel special, made you feel seen and understood. It was as if someone opened a door into their soul, and giving you a warm handshake, welcoming you into them and their life.
“The lads had a blast,” Harry said, now closer to Y/N as she had zoned out for a minute and some.
“They did?”
“Yeah, it’s nice to just sit down and relax like that. We don’t really get to do that.”
Y/N watched as Harry hovered by a table, leaning over it to clean it. His black tee shirt stretched over his broad back, his shoulder blades visibly working as he ran the cloth over the table in front of him. The outline of his muscles, the way they were so hard against the soft fabric of the tee shirt, made Y/N’s body feel very hot all of a sudden. He worked so carefully, sliding his hand holding the cloth so slowly over the table, paying it his undivided attention. She adjusted her position against her table, looking away from Harry as he stood back up, his black trousers that had been tight around his buttocks, slacking at the lack of pressure on the material. Get a fucking grip, Y/N screamed at herself in her head, focusing on the wall in front of her. She saw Harry look at her over his shoulder, gaze lingering on her for a few seconds. Y/N suddenly found it very hard to draw a proper breath.
“You’re mad I didn’t show up?” Harry asked.
Y/N was silent, her brain completely blank. “Didn’t show up…?”
She could see his smug smile in her peripheral vision. “Yeah.”
“To what?”
His smile widened and he focused on a table closer to her. “The Uno Society.”
She closed her eyes. Her checking out Harry while he had his back to her had not just made her forget the whole reason why she had showed up to The Stag’s Head in the first place. His body looking the way it did, him caring about the society, him teasing her to get a reaction out of her… Why the fuck did he have that effect on her?
“No,” Y/N said, refusing to look at him still. “I’m not mad.”
“Then why won’t you look at me right now?”
Y/N could feel her hands instinctively grabbing harder onto the table behind her. “No reason.”
“You know,” Harry started, she could hear the smirk in his voice. “You can try all you want, but I still know you.”
She huffed. “You wish.”
“I don’t gotta,” he said, chuckling a little. “Don’t gotta wish when I already do know you. Wish I knew you better, wish you’d just open up to me like you did so easily before, but that’s for a later time.”
That made her look over at Harry, her eyebrows drawn together as she just watched him clean yet another table. He… Did he really think she would one day open up to him again and they would go back to being friends like they used to? Was he really that optimistic? Had he thought about it? About them and their friendship? And what a future with her alongside him at uni would look like? Her eyes landed on his bicep as it flexed, holding his body weight as he leaned against the table again. Her gaze following his arm all the way down to his hand, long slender fingers wrapped around the edge of the table, and the thick veins over the dorsal part of his hand made something in Y/N’s brain short circuit. That along with the casual way he was leaning his hips against the table, staring down at it with his head cocked.
What the fuck, Y/N said to herself again, looking away from him. What the fuck what the fuck what the fuck?! How was she supposed to stay neutral, to not find him attractive, to not want to sink right back into old habits when she allowed herself to study him and look at him like that. She had to stop. This was getting out of hand.
“You’re uncharacteristically quiet tonight,” Harry said, working slowly as he cleaned up the table in the booth beside the one she was stood leaning against.
“No, I’ve just got things on my mind.”
“What things?”
Your broad shoulders. Your hands. The way you stick your tongue out of your mouth when you are concentrating. But Y/N said none of those things, as doing so would sentence her to a lifetime of humiliation.
“Insignificant things.”
“When they’re taking up a lot of space in your head and preventing you from being present, they’re not insignificant,” Harry said, sounding a little serious all of a sudden. “Everything alright?”
“Yeah, there’s nothing inherently bad on my mind, just… I’ve got a lot of… thoughts,” Y/N said, not knowing how else to explain it without giving something away.
“What thoughts?”
Y/N narrowed her eyes at him. “Thought you did Architectural Studies, didn’t know you also had a degree in being Nosy.”
Harry let out a laugh, coming to stand in front of her with the spray and the cloth in his hands. “I’m very nosy.”
“Glad to hear you’re self-aware.”
“But right now I just want to make sure you’re okay.”
Bloody hell, Y/N thought, could he just fucking stop being so nice? So fucking adorable? And fit? It made hating him so much harder than it already was.
“I’m okay.”
He took a step closer. “What’s been on your mind then?”
“Just… life.”
“Has uni exhausted you?”
“Yeah, but it’s not what I’m thinking about.”
Harry took another step closer. Y/N’s palms were suddenly very clammy.
“What’s on your mind?” he asked again, a small smile on his lips as if he was challenging her.
“Maybe you just have to face the fact that I won’t tell you and you can’t figure it out on your own.”
“Nah,” Harry said. “I’ll figure you out.”
Y/N watched as Harry took another step closer, her heart suddenly beating very fast inside her chest.
“I just gotta…” He trailed off, now standing directly in front of her. Tip of his shoes against the tip of hers. Without a warning of sorts, he leaned closer, bending over her until his head hovered beside her own. Chest wavering above hers, touching as she drew in a precipitous breath and he did the same. Their bodies did not brush against one another again, an invisible, burning shield was built to keep them apart the second their upper bodies made contact. As if the universe was telling them that by touching like that, the world would go up in total flames around them.
Harry’s sudden closeness made her breathe in a little too harshly, she was sure he must have heard it but she simply did not care. The reaction her body was having to him being so close was electric, it made all the hairs on her body stand on end. She didn’t know what he was doing that close to her, thinking at first that he must have wanted to whisper something in her ear, to say something to her that would undoubtedly make her glad she was leaning against something solid for support.
But she heard the familiar sound of the Cif spray, and a second later, Harry reached his cloth behind Y/N’s back, cleaning the table. She felt his breath against her neck, triggering something radioactive inside her. The oud aroma of his cologne, with notes of cedar, patchouli, and spicy saffron filled Y/N’s nostrils. In those seconds when Harry hovered above her like that, his warm body inches from hers, breath fanning against her skin, his aroma, and aura mere inches from hers, Y/N was conflicted as to if she wanted time to speed up or slow down some more. She knew that if she stayed like that, with Harry so close to her, for much longer she would go absolutely mad and have an impossible time resisting him if he were to try something like he had done in the living room the week before.
No sooner had she thought that, he pushed off, face lingering just centimetres from hers. “I just need to take a look,” he said, speaking as if he did not mind if the whole world was watching them. He raised his hand, about to touch her chin. For what reason, Y/N did not know, but she didn’t ask any questions. However, he stopped, as if touching her was something he could not do. Y/N was glad he hadn’t, because God knows how her body would have reacted had he tenderly touched her jawline like it looked like he wanted to.
“Take a look?” Y/N mumbled.
“At you.”
A small breath left her lips.
“Maybe the answer to what’s been on your mind is somewhere in your eyes,” he said, eyes suddenly falling to her lips. “Or your lips.” He glanced at her forehead. “Or in the slight lines that appear between your eyebrows when you’re deep in thought.” He looked down at her hands on the table edge. “Or the way you’re gripping the table so tight right now.”
Jesus Christ, she was about to explode. Y/N let go of it immediately, standing up and forcing Harry to take two steps back. His intense glance lingered on her, falling to her lips as she opened her mouth to take a breath.
“It’s getting late,” she said, fingering the hem of her leather jacket as her heart continued to hammer away inside her chest.
“Wait for me, yeah?” Harry walked over to the next table to clean it, doing it way faster than all the other ones. Biting his lip and moving his hand with the cloth over the table as if to make up for time spent on something else, cleaning very slowly and standing too close to her.
“No, I can walk home by myself.”
“I know you’re capable of walking, but I don’t like you being out in the streets all alone late at night.”
Y/N looked over at Harry as he cleaned the last booth, seeing the determination to finish as quickly as possible.
“It’s just across the road,” she said.
“Please just let me walk you across the road, then.” Harry walked behind the bar counter, putting the cleaning supplies away.
“You make me sound like an old lady.”
“Just-“ He appeared from behind the counter. “-Wait.” He then disappeared into the backroom where he only stayed for a few seconds. Y/N would have thought that since he enjoyed working at The Stag’s Head, he would have at least lingered for a few moments to take in the last time he would ever be back there. But instead, he emerged wearing his coat, locking the door behind him, mere seconds later. He turned the lights off, and, walking over to where Y/N was standing, placed a gentle hand to her lower back, guiding her in the direction of the door that she could only barely make out in the dark. Goosebumps instantly ran up Y/N’s back and she inhaled at the pressure of Harry’s hand on her body. He held the door open for her and Y/N stepped outside, watching as Harry locked the front doors to The Stag’s Head for the very last time.
He looked around them after locking the door, checking up and down the three streets that came to a crossroad just outside the pub. Once his eyes finally met Y/N’s again he gave her the smallest smile, then motioned for her to lead the way back to their flat. She wanted to roll her eyes, but she could not find it in herself to do just that in that moment. Though it was just across the road, she very much appreciated Harry’s company back to their flat. Distance was nothing when the roads were dark and the faces of the figures walking past were left blurred by the dim streetlamps.
Harry held the door for Y/N once again, letting her be the first to enter the building. She strolled upstairs, unlocking their front door and watching as Harry gestured for her to walk on inside. The flat was dark, except for the warm yellow lights Nathan had twined around the railing of their terrace and the changing colours of the luminous Christmas tree in the living room. The kitchen was usually left in darkness, as was the rest of the flat, but since their eyes were used to night outside, it wasn’t hard to navigate their way to the stairs. They took their jackets off, and without her leather jacket on, Y/N was very aware of how much of her skin was exposed to Harry. Her dress showed off her legs, arms, and parts of her back to him, and she knew that, if he walked behind her up the stairs, he would get a good look at her bum.
She took her boots off and started up the stairs with her purse in her hand, hearing Harry make his way up them as well. If any man were to walk behind her up the stairs, Harry was one she trusted not to take the mick, to not look up her skirt and make her feel uncomfortable. But… after everything… she still didn’t want him to see her knickers. However, facing her door, she heard Harry walking up the stairs. Taking a deep breath, she turned around to face him once he reached the first floor. What happened next happened so suddenly that Y/N barely managed to wrap her head around it before the moment was gone.
She had just turned around to face Harry when he walked up over to her. Taking a step back at the sudden closeness, she felt herself breathe in sharply as Harry’s face lingered only centimetres from her own again. Though the person standing in front of her was a man, a completely different person, something inside her brain took her back to that night when they were 16. He hadn’t been this close to her since then, had not touched her or looked at her like this since then. His eyes flicked down to her lips, and then to meet hers, wet lips parting as if the anticipation was killing him.
And Y/N had to painfully admit, it was killing her, too. As much as she had tried to fight it, it was impossible to now. She wanted Harry to kiss her. Not tenderly kiss her like you would peck a person you were in love with, or to gently rub his thumb over her cheek as a show of affection, or to hug her tight when they met up for lunch. No, she wanted him to fucking kiss her. She wanted him to grab her face and kiss her hard; desperately, needily. She wanted them to fumble to take each other’s clothes off, and for him to make up for how bad that first time together was. There was absolutely no denying it, Y/N wanted Harry. She really wanted him. All these months, all those moments spent trying to push the thought away, she simply could not anymore. There was a hunger inside her for him, but only in the sexual sense. She could never fall in love with this man, she just wanted to fuck him. And she wanted to fuck him bad.
Her own lips parted, and she looked into his eyes with an expression she hoped he could read, because she needed him to understand. Once again, Harry raised his hand, hovering between them as if he were unsure what to do with it. Fingers twitching, she could see he was conflicted, whether he should touch her cheek as it looked like he wanted to, or if he should stop himself. Y/N let her eyes fall to his hand, to tell him she wanted him to touch her. She wanted to feel him somewhere, anywhere on her. Just looking at him, she could see he wanted the same as her. He wanted to feel her body, to explore it in a completely different way to last time.
Harry’s hand fell out of view, and just as Y/N thought he was going to let it hang limply, uselessly, at his side, she felt something on her waist. A warm pressure, snaking around the black linen of her dress. She waited for him to pull her closer to him, for their torsos to connect, but it never happened.
“Y/N,” Harry whispered, eyes falling to her lips again.
She did not answer, instead just tilted her head so it would be easier for him to kiss her. With her eyelids hanging low over her eyes, her body language not showing any sign of protesting, and with her lips parted, Y/N hoped the message was coming across clearly. Harry leaned in closer, his nose almost touching hers. Her heart was beating so fast and hard it hurt. Her hands were clammy. All her attention focused on Harry and the electricity they created on that spot where his hand rested. He leaned down, lips hovering just over the crook of her neck, making her close her eyes. Breath against the hair of her shoulder, lightning shooting up Y/N’s back. He slowly leaned back out again, nose hovering beside hers. The anticipation was absolutely killing her.
“I…” But he drifted off, eyes falling to her lips again. She could feel his breath on her mouth, could smell his cologne. The tension was making her dizzy, she just wanted him to bloody kiss her already.
She was just about to do it herself when she felt his warm hand drop off her waist. She blinked, and the next second, Harry took a step back. He only looked at her, mouth working as if he was trying to find the right words to say, but there were none. So, as if blinking himself awake from a sort of dream, he took another step back. Suddenly, he opened the door into his room. He stopped in the doorway, looking back at Y/N. Again, he tried to say something that must have died on the tip of his tongue, because again, he did not utter a word. It looked like he physically could not say them out loud. Instead, he closed the door, leaving Y/N standing alone out in the dark hallway.
Y/N’s eyes rested on the door to the bathroom, trying to go over in her head where it had just happened. Had… Had Harry just walked away just now? Had he teased her in the pub, then done almost the same just now, only to walk away? What had gone wrong? Why had he not kissed her? What had made him step away? What had made him stop? Y/N could not answer a single one of the questions, and she doubted Harry would give her any. She closed her eyes, resting her head against her door behind her. This was exactly why she had not wanted to live with Harry, this was why she had not given in to his charms and flirts before. Now, because of what had just happened, because of how awkward that had just been, they were back to square one. Just living under the same roof as him infuriated her. She could not fucking stand Harry Styles.

Star Wars Battlefront II Review
Almost since the beginning, Star Wars has been a story of redemption from darkness. So, in an ironic sort of way, Battlefront 2 is a better Star Wars game because of its initial fall to the dark side and subsequent journey back to the light. After over two years of updates and changes, EA and DICE have redeemed this gorgeous shooter and turned it into one of the best multiplayer adaptations of the Star Wars universe to date.
Taking in all Battlefront 2 now has to offer at once is honestly a bit overwhelming. Setting aside the overly safe, short, and disappointing single-player story, there’s a wealth of wave-based co-operative maps and a litany of online competitive multiplayer modes. Most of them play wonderfully and they all ooze that classic Star Wars look and feel on an unrivaled scale. Whether you’re fighting on the ground with a blaster in your hands, cutting down troops with a lightsaber, or dogfighting in space, Battlefront 2 is an immensely entertaining ride through a galaxy far, far away.
Crucially, DICE absolutely nailed the basics. Take the mechanics of firing a blaster: It feels just a bit chunky, as it should, with that signature sound bursting with each shot. And even though every weapon shoots similar-looking bolts, they all feel extremely distinct out of the box and can be customized further.

For ground troops, the four main classes are Assault, Heavy, Officer, and Specialist. They feel about as distinct as any other classes in a multiplayer shooter, although none of them have a dedicated secondary gun to swap too. Since there are no ammo counts, just cool downs, it changes the dynamic a bit and definitely feels unique.
I gravitated towards the Heavy troopers because of their powerful LMG-style weapon, mobile shield, grenade, and a special that let me shoot continuously like a minigun without overheating. It’s excellent for suppressing fire, especially if you’re on the defending end of the final phase in Capital Supremacy and need to keep the enemy back at all costs. In between the main classes and the big hero units are specialty units like Arc Troopers that get electric mines and dual pistols, or rolling Droidekas with heavy armor and deployable shield domes. Coordinating attacks between the practicality of the standard troops and flashiness of heroes is a lot fun and makes Battlefront 2 feel special.
Microtransaction Reaction
Shortly before Battlefront 2 officially launched in 2017 it was filled with egregious microtransactions that were not only greedy, but disruptive to the game as a whole. If you didn’t want to grind for hours to unlock playable heroes then you had to pay actual money. Star Card upgrades were locked behind similar time-sinks and pay walls that made multiplayer feel like more of a chore than a game. Thankfully, EA listened to feedback and removed those just ahead of launch, but the grindy progression remained. Fast forward a couple of years, though, and, all of that’s now been removed as well.
Today, the only things you can buy are cosmetics like new outfits and emotes, so there’s no hint of pay-to-win in play. Star Cards are completely gone, leveling is now based on linear XP gains, and all heroes are open from the beginning.
Alternatively, you can earn these cosmetics through loot boxes you can’t pay for. It’s a good, fair system, and thankfully entirely separate from progression – that makes these boxes exciting to open because the cosmetics don’t come at the cost of character upgrades and unlocks. Or, if you buy or upgrade to the Celebration Edition of Battlefront 2, every paid cosmetic, emote, and victory pose is unlocked from the very beginning.
What’s great about Battlefront 2 is that it lets you play with all of its toys, no questions asked. Every character class and playable hero is available from the start, and the tedious unlocking grind from launch has been completely removed. Luke, Vader, Boba Fett, Rey – you name them, they’re all here.
As you level up you unlock new ability cards with passive upgrades such as increased health regeneration speed or a bigger grenade blast radius. They’re designed as ways to refine your playstyle, rather than make you dramatically stronger, and it’s a fulfilling system that rewards sticking with a class without forcing you to.
You’ll spend most of your time as Battlefront’s basic soldier classes, but as you play you earn in-match points that you can eventually spend to spawn as a hero. That can seriously turn the tide. These iconic characters are absolute killing machines, and when you clash with another hero it’s extremely memorable. The list has been growing since launch and now includes everybody from Obi-Wan and his Force push to lesser favorites like General Grievous, including his ridiculous saber windmill attack. Pitting original trilogy Darth Vader against the prequel trilogy Anakin Skywalker hero is far more entertaining than it should be.

During a Heroes v Villains match – a team deathmatch mode where everybody plays as a hero the entire time – I was playing as Boba Fett on the rainy planet Kamino and ran into an enemy player controlling Obi-Wan. It quickly felt like a reenactment of the Jedi Knight’s fight against Jango Fett in Episode II.
In this version, Obi-Wan leapt through the air while I shot at him with my blasters, then he Force-pushed me and knocked me down before charging in for the kill with his lightsaber. Then, in a dramatic twist, none other than Darth Vader himself jumped in at the last second and Force-choked him before he could strike. My teammate then lifted Obi-Wan into the air for me to finish him off. It was a fantastic and memorable moment.
It doesn’t feel like an exaggeration to say that, in terms of scope and breadth, EA and DICE have released just as much new, free content for the multiplayer side of Battlefront 2 as it already had at launch. They’ve dished out new maps like Felucia and Geonosis, exciting new game modes, a litany of heroes and villains, new ships for aerial combat, and dozens of cosmetic skins.
Battlefront 2’s maps now feel like a Greatest Hits selection of the entire Star Wars galaxy, pulling from all three movie trilogies plus one-offs and the cartoons. The dense greenery of Felucia is a great contrast to the brown wastelands of Geonosis, and fighting across the Cloud City in Bespin is a blast.
Naboo’s capital city, Theed, is one of my favorites, since it’s an outdoor urban setting, unlike most of the other battles, and is full of buildings that make it a great stage in the larger 40-player game modes. Every mode has an extreme level of map variety, and that makes it easy to fall into that “just one more game” mentality because you’ll see something new every time for a long while.

The catch is that finding a match is hit or miss depending on the game mode and time of day. It’s not very difficult to queue up for the main modes like Capital Supremacy and Galactic Assault, especially on PS4. But smaller modes, like Hero Showdown and Hero Starfighters, can take a few minutes of waiting before you can enjoy them, which is a shame. They’re not the main attraction by any means but I’ve had some good fun with them.
In Hero Showdown, two teams of two heroes each face off without respawns for multiple rounds. It’s a bit like Gun Fight in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but instead of guns and knives it’s blasters and lightsabers.
Similarly, Hero Starfighters pits two teams of four hero ships against each other, but this time dying brings you back as a standard starfighter until one team has lost all their hero ships.
Letting you immediately take control of these recognizable characters is awesome, putting a fun spin on the standard modes, but they don’t seem to command the same amount of popularity. Having so many different modes to choose from seems to have split the player base thinly across the best ones.

Such a Thrill: Part 9
Leon moved closer and placed a hand and Karina’s shoulder. When she didn’t respond, he sat down next to her and it was as though she just realized he was there. Karina immediately climbed into his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck.
“You ok?” Leon gently rubbed her back, waiting for a response.
Finally, she nodded. “I don’t know how to feel about this. I’ve been angry at him, thinking that he was just manipulating me the whole time. I liked spending time with him but I’ve barely thought of him since the last time. Then I got a call from his lawyer like half an hour ago saying that I need to go meet him at his office tomorrow and now I don’t know what the fuck is going on.”
It didn’t register at first, maybe because Leon knew the backstory, but he soon realized that Karina was worried that she was in some sort of trouble.
“Just…” He gave her a squeeze. “It’s ok. What time are you going tomorrow? Do you want me to go with you? I have a morning session but I could probably skip the afternoon-”
Karina shook her head. “No, it’s ok, I’ll be fine. I just don’t want my parents to find out why I know him…or knew him I guess.”
Leon convinced Karina to grab some lunch and go to the park with him and enjoy the unseasonably warm day. Elsa was still figuring out how to walk on a leash so it wasn’t an especially productive walk but it seemed like it worked to clear Karina’s mind.
“Listen,” Leon started as he felt Karina wrap her arm around his. “My friend Jo suggested that we maybe have dinner with him and his girlfriend Lina.”
Karina nodded, but didn’t reply at first. “Ok. But can we wait until I know what’s going on with this lawyer?”
“Oh, yeah. Absolutely.” Leon playfully bumped into her, wanting to distract her again. “Do you want me to stay tonight?”
The look that Karina gave him in response made Leon realized that Karina had already assumed that he was going to spend the night.
She scrunched her mouth, trying not to frown before turning back to him. “What do you want to do?”
Leon slipped his arm out from hers only to wrap it around her waist and pull her against him. “Mausi, I haven’t seen you for a week, of course I want to stay. I just wanted to make sure that you didn’t need space or anything like that.”
Karina leaned into him, but didn’t respond. Instead, she was thinking that she was eventually going to need to bite the bullet and ask him to move in with her. That was really all she wanted but at the same time she kept thinking to herself that it was too soon or that maybe Leon would get tired of her if he saw her every day. Closing her eyes briefly, she sighed. That would be a conversation for the future, right now she still had too many doubts to bring it up.
“I, um, got a few things for you at the store.” Karina hung up Elsa’s lease after they had both walked through the door.
Leon immediately went for a glass of water. “Oh yeah? Like what?”
“Well,” she opened the pantry and pulled out a box. “I wanted pasta for dinner so this is made from chickpeas, it’s gluten free.”
With a broad grin, Leon moved close enough to pull Karina in to a one armed hug before kissing her. “You’re too good to me, Mausi.”
Stepping back, Karina held up a finger. “I also got you a playstation to have here so you can play your fortnight or whatever it is. There is one more thing…” Now Karina pulled him back against her and kissed him again. “But you’re going to have to wait to see that.”
“I don’t even get a hint?” Leon rested his hand on the back of her neck, letting his thumb drag back and forth before kissing her again.
Karina offered a lascivious smirk. “It’s something I wear that only you will see me in, but it will be more fun to take off.”
“You’re killing me here, do you know that?” Leon laughed openly now, his hands now clasped behind the small of her back.
The smirk returned. “Nothing wrong with a little delayed gratification.”
Although Leon had offered, Karina fixed dinner and then he played Fortnight while she worked on a few things for school. They took Elsa out for one last walk before putting her in her crate and then retreating to the bedroom.
Sometime in the middle of the night, Leon rolled over expecting to be able to drape his arm over Karina and pull her closer to him. Only when he did just that, he was met with Karina’s pillow flung halfway down her side of the bed. Sitting up with a groan, Leon squinted at the time displayed on his phone and debated about getting out of bed. Eventually, the light at the end of the hallway peaked his attention. Leon found his underwear and ten trudged down the hallway to find Karina sitting at the dining room table, papers sprawled all around.
Walking up behind her, Leon rested his hand on her shoulder. “You know, if I wanted to sleep in a bed by myself, I could have gone home instead.”
“Well,” Karina spoke, but didn’t even turn to look at him. “I couldn’t sleep and didn’t want to just lay there. If that bothers you then go home.”
It took Leon a minute to react. At first, he was irritated at how dismissive Karina was being but he soon realized that there was probably more to it than just being in a bad mood. When Karina ultimately did face him, he just shrugged. “Fine. I’ll go get my stuff together.”
“Leon, wait!” Karina practically fell out of her chair trying to get to him. She grabbed ahold of his fingers, partially to get him to stop and partially to regain her balance. “I didn’t mean…please don’t leave.”
“I was calling your bluff, you know.” Leon wrapped an arm around Karina’s shoulders and kissed her forehead. “What’s bothering you?”
Shaking her head, Karina allowed herself to lean against him. “I don’t even know anymore. I just I’m starting to feel overwhelmed with everything.”
“Everything?” Leon’s eyes were closed by now, more from increasing fatigue than anything else. Karina only sighed in response so Leon gave her a little squeeze and started guiding her back to her bedroom. “Just come back to bed, it’ll be better tomorrow.”
Karina was still asleep when Leon left in the morning. While he never resented going to practice, he was surprised by how much he was actually looking forward to going this morning. There was so much to focus on during training sessions that Leon didn’t have time to dwell on whatever it was that had Karina in a funk. He showered and changed and joked around with some of the guys before he headed to his car. There was a small crowd gathered by the exit so he figured he’d need to be polite and sign some autographs before leaving. Finally, there was one man left but it struck Leon as odd, he seemed older than the typical fan wanting a selfie, but Leon still obliged.
“Thanks!” The man smiled and gave a little nod. “I know Karina, by the way.”
Leon cocked his head slightly, they had deliberately kept a lower profile so for a complete stranger to be mentioning Karina to him was surprising to enough to catch him off guard. “Oh, ok.”
Stopping by his apartment, Leon grabbed a bag and packed a few more things before he went back to Karina’s. When he walked in, she was on the phone, pacing back and forth. As soon as Karina saw him, she walked over and leaned against him, but continued on with her phone call. Eventually, Leon went in search of something to snack on until Karina hung up.
“That fucker is still managing to control me from beyond the grave.” Karina practically growled as she spoke, only it turned to laughter when she saw the bewildered look on Leon’s face. “Marwin left his entire fucking estate to me. Do you know how much is going to be involved with that? I have to figure out what to do with the house and his art collection-”
Karina cut herself off and smiled, moving closer to Leon. “Hi. How was your day?”
“It’s been good, Mausi.” Leon laughed a little and then pulled her closer so he could kiss her temple. “Let’s go out for dinner and we can figure out what to do with that rich bastard’s money later.”
Offering a smile in return, Karina stretched up to kiss him back. “Ok. Why don’t you tell your friend. We can meet them someplace.”
Karina was slightly disappointed when she learned they’d be going to a casual pizza place. She loved pizza and was never one to turn down going out in a hoodie, her favorite deconstructed skinny jeans, and slip on Vans but she also had something special planned for later on tonight and she would have appreciated the opportunity to wear her navy blue wrap dress.
Despite her initial, albeit mild, disappointment, Karina found herself having a very enjoyable evening. She and Lina hit it off immediately and she found Joshua to be funny and charming, Karina could see why he and Leon were friends. Plans were made to hang out again and soon she and Lina had exchanged various social media accounts as well.
Once they made it back to her apartment, Leon and Karina took Elsa out for a walk before calling it a night. When Karina found Leon seated on the sofa, she smiled and knew she had found her opportunity. She straddled his lap and leaned in to give him a kiss before smiling sweetly.
“Hi.” Leon laughed but there was just a hint of nerves behind it, he had no idea what Karina was up to.
Taking his hand, Karina kissed his fingertip and then directed it to tug at the lowest point of her v neck shirt to reveal delicate satin strapping that followed the contours of her cleavage. Leon looked back at Karina who continued to smile but also added a little shrug, a dare to find out what else she was hiding. Leon traced the straps with his finger before lifting her shirt over her head. Biting his lip, Leon studied the bra, if you could call it that, Karina was wearing.
The cups were made of a fine mesh and there were three straps identical to the ones tracing her cleavage that ran diagonally across her breasts while three more intersected those. Where straps met, there were rings and the whole thing zipped up the back giving it a distinctively bondage theme.
He brought his eyes up to meet Karina’s, bottom lip still tucked between his teeth, and smiled. “Is this what you’ve been making me wait for?”
“Partly.” Sitting up straighter, Karina took his hand again and let it rest at the waist of her jeans. “There’s more.”
Karina slid off his lap and stood up, waiting to see if he would do the same. Without breaking eye contact, Leon stood and moved his right hand to the button while the left rested on her hip. Once her jeans were fully unfastened, he slid them down, lowering himself to his knees at the same time, and helped her step out of them. Leon slid his hands up and down her thighs as he took in the sight of her matching underwear.
With identical satin strapping that sat low on her hips, the fine mesh at the front did nothing for modesty. But when Leon went to investigate where a different set of straps led, he quickly realized that back was completely open.
Leon squeezed Karina’s backside and caressed her thighs once more before standing to meet her. “I don’t know if I want to take everything off or leave it on. Where did you find these?”
“I made a quick trip to the Bordelle shop in London.” Karina smiled proudly. “Do you like them?”
He let out a little laugh. “Uh, yeah.”
“Good.” Karina kept her broad smile as she took Leon by the hand and led him back to her bedroom.

I Don’t Get Venom
So I went and saw Venom. To be fair, I wasn’t really excited nor had high hopes. Sony’s done us wrong too many times (I mean in movies, Playstation and all that other good stuff is fine). I figured, “I’ve watched Justice League. Even if it’s bad it’ll at least be enjoyable.” Oh boy was I wrong. But I wasn’t wrong like I thought, because I figured my critiques were agreeable. And while most critics I’ve seen agree it was bad, they don’t think it was awful. And casual moviegoers are even worse, they’re saying that it was good, and this is Man of Steel all over again, where the critics and fans are at total war with each other. So I figured I would go into detail of why I thought it was awful.
So the first thing I’ve wanted to address was the utter absence of tone. Most movies I see have a misuse of tone, but this movie had a complete absense. No filters, particular use of camera angles, or music indicated what the atmosphere of this movie was supposed to be. I mean, a lot of this movie was at night, but this movie didn’t have a dark tone. At least I don’t think it does. This is especially tough whenever the movie attempts humor, because a lot of its humor requires someone reacting or a musical note or something. Like just as an example, there’s this part where Venom punches a dog. Now because that dog growled at Venom earlier, I would assume this is supposed to be hilarious, but there’s no one reacting or anything and there’s no music. People don’t just laugh at dogs getting punched. The only time where I could clearly say that was intended for humor was when Eddie was eating a live lobster. Eddie’s ex’s doctor boyfriend made these big ol eyes and the reaction gave a clear tone. And I shouldn’t say there’s no music. There’s a couple of parts where Eddie turns into Venom and there’s this very triumphant music in the background, which I personally find kind of strange. I mean it makes sense for the audience, because this is the part we’ve been waiting for. But it doesn’t make sense in the movie, because this isn’t really a triumphant moment for Eddie or even Venom at all. It’s just something that happens. Because of this lack of tone, I don’t even know what to feel like when Venom eats someone or Eddie almost dies. Like, when Venom eats someone, the only thing that happens is Eddie says “You just ate someone.” ...? Is that funny, shocking, scary...? I’ve heard some people argue this movie is half-horror, and I don’t even get that at all. Like sure there were a couple of jump scares at the beginning, but then that goes away and we’re just left with fight scenes and presumably silly moments.
You could argue that this lack of tone is intentional, and makes some sort of profound point. Or maybe it exists so that the movie is whatever the viewer wants it to be, and in that sense it’s monumental. But honestly I just think the director and writers didn’t know what tone they were going for, so they just didn’t even bother to put one in.
The dialogue is also really poor. I honestly could not tell you what Eddie Brock’s personality is supposed to be in this movie. A smartass, a loser, a jock, a wimp, I have no clue. You might point to smartass because of the occassional quips, but honestly I think that’s just Sony making quips because that seems to work for the MCU. Any characters other than Eddie and Venom are even worse. Not only do I not know their personalities, but I don’t even know their motivations. Like his girlfriend tells him to go ahead and ask this Drake guy tough questions, and then he does that so she breaks up with him. Sure, she got fired for it and didn’t expect that, but she shouldn’t have expected him to expect that. And if she did, she should have also expected that and been prepared. And even though she hates him for this thing she shouldn’t hate him for, when she finds out he’s apparently a maniac, she wants to... help? Her new boyfriend is also weird. He seems to like Brock and, well, we never know why. I guess he’s a fan, but it just seems weird that his girlfriend being Eddie’s ex doesn’t falter his desire to like Eddie at all. Drake also.... wants to go to space. And like, that’s his evil plan.
It’s such a headache. So I guess his going to space plan is really dirty and underground, and he experiments on people and that kills them. Why? I don’t know. Like when he’s testing the symbiotes it makes sense. But according to the interview, he’s been killing people before that. Why? We’ll never know. So when Eddie steals Venom and is a perfect match, he wants him back. He believes when you’re a perfect match you can go to space. So I guess he wants to make Eddie an astronaut? Eddie resists this, because astronauts are evil. Then Drake gets his own Venom, Riot I believe, and Riot wants to stay on Earth because he’s the ringleader of the symbiotes and wants to take over the world. But Drake wants to go to space instead, and Riot goes along with this and doesn’t just kill Drake and find someone that wants to stay on Earth. Why? I don’t know. But also once Drake gets Riot he shouldn’t need Eddie anymore and should just leave him alone. Likewise Eddie isn’t a part of this anymore and should just leave Drake alone. But that doesn’t happen, and they still are motivated to conflict with each other for some reason. I should also note that Venom says he has 0 chance of beating Riot, and without any training, preparation, or other advantages, basically kills Riot with ease. And for some reason I kind of expected that.
There’s also this scene where Eddie makes out with a rule 63 Venom and I just.... really really want to unsee that. I know many of y’all would consider that a minor nitpick, and you would also argue it’s actually his girlfriend so he’s not really making out with Venom, and you would be right to say so. But I don’t know, I just really really wish I could unsee that. Like, Eddie didn’t know it was his girlfriend until he was done kissing. He just saw Venom’s devil eyes and sharp fangs and said “I want to fuck that.” And then this movie has the balls to bring it up again at the end of the movie. The girlfriend literally says “That was Venom’s idea” which honestly just makes it worse. Like who was the motherfucker at Sony that greenlit this idea? God.
Now after beating this movie to death with complaints, I should at least give credit where it’s due. Venom looked really cool. I didn’t like Riot, he has weird cheekbones and he’s just a big grey villain, but Venom looked fucking sick. I wouldn’t call it realistic, but honestly do any of us care if the CGI is believable at this point? His fight with Riot was long and dull, but the parts where he’s just laying a swat team to waste was awesome. I wish there was blood, but seeing him bite off a head was already more than I expected. On that note, a lot of people were afraid there’d be like only 3 minutes of actual Venom, but that’s thankfully not the case. We get plenty of Venom and it was a satisfying amount.
I do not care for the Carnage post credits scene. If Justice League and Batman v. Superman taught me anything, it’s that post credits scenes that promise a better sequel are full of shit. If Sony had what it takes to make a good Venom vs. Carnage movie, they would have just done that right off the bat. This post credits scene solely exists to say “Hey this movie might not have been all that, but we promise the next one will have everything you want, so give us money anyways.” They will never fulfill that promise. If this movie makes enough money, you’ll either get a shitty Carnage movie or another shitty Venom movie that promises Carnage.
If you did like this movie, I don’t want to take that away from you, I just wanted to get my thoughts out there. I don’t usually bother with reviews, because usually JeremyJahns or someone else already says everything I was thinking and more, but this time around I kinda felt alone in my opinions. Everyone else either seems to like it or just hate it a lot less than me. And who knows, maybe I’m being too harsh, or maybe I’m not really interpreting this movie like the director intended. But I personally don’t think Sony deserves money for making this movie. I don’t want a Venom sequel, and I definitely don’t want to see this Venom in the MCU. If there’s a Venom in the MCU, I want an Eddie with personality and an origin that makes sense. Venom himself can pretty much look the same, but change everything else.

Rushing upstairs he went to his room to grab a clean shirt out of the hamper. He sifted through the clothes until he pulled out a t-shirt, but didn’t bother putting it on as he heard the doorbell ring. Practically running down the stairs, he quickly opened the door and smiled at the familiar face. “Well if it isn’t, Miss Perfect.” He said stepping aside to let her in and taking one of the bags out of her hand.
Vera jumped slightly as the door opened quickly, but quickly froze in place when her eyes landed on him, noticing right away that he seemed to be missing a shirt. Letting her eyes linger for much longer than she should have, his words finally alerted her, and she looked down quickly. A deep blush rose on Vera's cheeks as she realized her mistake, and she refused to look up at him, "I-" she started, but didn't know what to say, so instead, she just walked through the door, trying to get her self under control all over again. "I don't know who you were expecting, but Miss Average is here, anyway." She joked, finally making eye contact with him again when he took the bag of food. "I didn't know if you'd eaten, but I thought if I brought food you wouldn't be too disappointed about me showing up out of the blue and ruining whatever plans you might have had for the night." She joked, a small smile spreading on her face, before holding the other bag up, as well. "I brought presents, too."
Johari couldn’t help the smirk that painted itself on his face as he saw her reaction. He’d be lying if he said he didn’t like the attention. In fact, it proved she at least found him attractive and that was something he had been questioning for quite some time. Keeping his eyes on her, he noticed her blush and his smirk quickly turned into a grin. He was sure she was only blushing because she was embarrassed, but he liked knowing he had some sort of effect over her. Rolling his eyes at Vera's words, he shut the door behind her and placed the bag of food on the coffee table. “I hadn’t, so thank you. And I didn’t have any plans tonight so I’m all yours tonight, baby girl.” He stated, reaching over and taking the other bag out of her hand and peeking in it. “We can put these up later, ‘cause that food is smelling pretty good right now. Also sorry about the lack of a shirt,” he said motioning to himself as he stood in front of her. “But do I have to put one on to get a hug?”
Vera let her smile grow into a more easy, natural one when he said he hadn't eaten. And it only grew more when he said he didn't have any plans, but the pet name only made her blush return. "You don't have to put them up anywhere. They're just silly things, I wouldn't be offended if you threw them all away, honestly." She laughed, and then cleared her throat as he drew her attention back to his body, letting out a small laugh. "Well, I can't exactly blame you for how you walk around in the comfort of your own home, can I?" She questioned, but her breath hitched in her throat when he asked her for a hug. It wasn't as if she didn't hug him regularly, but she was certainly handling this situation much more awkwardly than she'd have liked to. Running her fingers through her hair, she let out a nervous laugh, hating that she couldn't just be relaxed like everyone else her age in a situation like this. "I'd never deny a hug from you." She finally answered, letting her smile return.
Johari shook his head as she spoke. It probably wasn’t obvious, but it made him happy that she thought to bring him back anything. Plus he didn’t clear off those shelves just for fun. “True, but you got ‘em for me so I’m gonna keep ‘em. So thank you.” The smile on his face was more genuine this time around rather than teasing. “Well no, but you seem a bit uneasy and I don’t want you uncomfortable or anything. I could go grab one. It’d only take a second.” He wasn’t really in much of a rush to put on any clothes, but if she wasn’t okay with him being shirtless then he’d fix the problem. Her words brought back the silly grin and he wasted no time getting that hug. Wrapping his arms around her, he swiftly lifted the girl up and hugged her tightly. “I missed you, V.” He said softly, loosening his hold on her just in case she wanted to end the hug before he did.
Vera had always enjoyed spending time with Johari, he always made her feel more welcomed and less like a burden. When said he'd be keeping the little trinkets, she smiled again, placing her purse down on the table next to her, nodding when he spoke. She wasn't the most comfortable when it came to most guys in general, most people in general really. After everything that happened with her ex, and then after he sold the pictures he'd taken of her to the tabloids, she always felt like everyone was staring at her, like everyone knew what she looked like under her clothes, which was exactly why she tried to blend in as much as she could. And if it were just about anyone else, she'd be just as uncomfortable with him being shirtless, but with Johari, the only thing that made her uncomfortable was how much she found herself wanting to stare at him. She was pulled away from her thoughts when she felt his arms wrap around her, her own moving to wrap around his shoulders. Vera buried her face in the crook of his neck as he lifted her, trying not to notice how much she enjoyed his scent, before pulling away to look at him as his grip loosened. " I missed you, too." She whispered, staying put for a few more seconds, before pulling away. "We should eat." She said softly, "Before it gets cold."
Johari hated how happy he was in that moment because he knew it would be gone just as soon as it came. There was something about Vera that made him feel different. He was use to girls practically throwing themselves at him, so it was always refreshing to meet one who didn't. But just as it was refreshing it was also frustrating. It took him some time to wrap his head around the idea that she didn't want him the way he did, but that wasn't something he knew for sure. He had just became a little more cautious when it came to who he let in on his little world of feelings. Bringing himself out of his thoughts, he nodded slightly and let his hands fall to his side. "Right," he trailed. "So what do you wanna do while you're here? We could watch a movie or something." The suggestion was more of a time filler since he didn't really have anything for them to do but he didn't want her to leave so soon. Making himself comfortable on the couch, he picked up the bag of food and placed it in his lap as he sifted through it. "Is this all for me or did you wanna share?" He asked, his tone laced with amusement.
Vera nodded in agreement, "A movie sounds good, but I'm still recovering from all of the time changes and flying, so if I fall asleep on you, don't hold it against me." She joked, though she had always been one to fall asleep during movies as it was, and she was tired. Still, she didn't want to call it a night and go home, she wanted to spend time with him. She watched as he moved to the couch, sitting herself a few inches next to him, closer than she normally would, but she felt comfortable with him. "Well, I thought I'd brought enough for both of us, but maybe I underestimated your appetite," she grinned, "and if that's the case, I guess you're just going to have to suffer and be hungry, because there's no way you're talking me out of eating my pasta." She grinned, pulling the covers off of some of the containers of food, her eyes never really leaving him. "How was your break? Did you do anything fun?" She asked, half of her not wanting to know. She'd talked to him one night while away, but she didn't know what he'd done the rest of the week, or who he'd spent it with. And while she had no reason to care, she never liked the idea of girls throwing themselves at him. Vera was not one of the girls who could flirt or who knew how to act around guys, so it wasn't as if she expected Johari to see her the same way.
Johari picked up the remote to his PlayStation and turned on the console, launching Netflix so they could find something to watch. "Does this mean I can pick the movie then? Or should we put something on that will keep you up?" He was going to ask where would she prefer to sleep, but he was just going to cross that bridge when he got to it.Even though he wasn't really looking for an answer to his question he liked the one he got. "If only this cute face had the same effect on you as it does everyone else." He quipped, his infamous smirk making its way back onto his face. When he began to pull the good out his eyes left her immediately. He had eaten earlier that day, but he wasn't going to pass up a free meal. Especially one that smelled so delicious. "It was fun. Stayed with my mom for the week, saw friends I haven't saw in forever, and rested." He said with a shrug as he scrolled through the movie options. Nothing he got up to that week was all that exciting, but that was more of his choice due to the fact that he spent his birthday week out of the country.
Vera thought for a second, and then shrugged a single shoulder. "You can pick, I'll try not to fall asleep either way." She whispered, picking up the container of pasta and a fork. Vera leaned back, smirked at his next words, nudging him gently with her elbow "it totally works on me, just not when it comes to food." She grinned, before leaning back against the couch and making herself comfortable with her food. She was almost ashamed of the smile that formed when he said what he'd done for break, and she quickly let it drop, remembering that they were just friends, and there was no reason for her to care who he spent his time with. "Well, that sounds fun, though. How's your mom? I'm sure she was really happy to see you." She said, starting to eat her food, and sliding her shoes off now so she could pull her feet up on her couch. Vera adjusted her dress, making sure too much wasn't showing before turning her attention back to him. "We should watch something scary if you want me to stay awake."
Johari probably would’ve been more than okay if she fell asleep on him, it’s not like he wouldn’t be fine with having some company over for the night. "You totally can if you want to. I wouldn't mind a mini sleepover." That was the first time Johari ever suggested that without the intention of having sex later on, and for some strange reason he actually liked it. He smiled when she admitted he did have some kind of effect on her. “Well it’s good to know you can be phased by it. I’ll make sure to remember that.” Helping himself, he grabbed the other container along with a fork. Placing the food in his lap, he picked out the movie and brought his attention to the other as she spoke. “She’s great and she was, the first day I was there. After that I’m pretty sure she got tired of me.” Now he was feeling a little bad about having the girl stay up just to spend time with her. He knew she wouldn’t be here if she didn’t want to be around him, but he still wasn’t a fan of causing her rest if she needed it. “Do you wanna stay awake? ‘Cause I’d honestly be fine if you wanted to sleep, especially since I know how traveling can tire a person out.” He decided he could stop being selfish for one night, it wasn’t like they weren’t gonna ever see each other again right?
Vera tried to hide the way she blushed at the idea of sleeping over at his house. It's not as if he suggested anything that wasn't completely innocent, and yet, she pictured herself sleeping next to him, his arms around her, before she could even stop herself, and she couldn't help the blush. "You'd change your mind when you heard my snoring." She joked softly, trying not to let her awkwardness, or overzealousness get the better of the situation. Vera bit her lip when he spoke again, "I'm surprised you didn't already know." She said, meeting his eyes, and letting herself stare for a few seconds too long before turning her attention back to the TV. "I doubt she got tired of you, she was probably so excited to see you, I bet she wishes you hadn't even left yet." She offered, though she didn't know what his relationship with his mother was like, from the way he'd talked about her on a few occasions, even just on their phone call the other day, she felt she could assume that they got along well. When he spoke again, she raised an eyebrow at him, and shook her head, "I came over because I wanted to spend time with you. I mean, if you're afraid of me falling asleep on your couch, I can go, but I wanted to see you." She said, hoping he wasn't trying to kick her out and she was making it harder on him.
Johari could say his night was officially made when he saw the girl blush at his comment. It wasn’t that much of a big deal, but he had a thing for making her face turn red. “I’m pretty sure I’ve dealt with worse, but if you don’t wanna sleepover you can just say so. My feelings won’t be hurt.” He said sarcastically, knowing he’d most likely suffer from some hurt feelings. There was a part of him that wanted to be up front with her, but he knew that wouldn’t be for the best. Even if she did turn out to feel the same. “You’re probably right about that. Also whenever you want you guys should meet. She’d love you.” Johari almost liked that Vera wouldn’t let him put himself down, even though he was being dramatic about the entire situation because he knew his mom loved him. “It’s not that I’m afraid, I just wouldn’t know what to do after you fell asleep. I wouldn’t leave you on the couch, but I’d rather you not wake up and be freaked out when you woke up in one of the guest rooms.” He didn’t know if him not offering up his bed was rude or chivalrous, but he had hoped she wouldn’t take it the wrong way.
Vera raised an eyebrow at him when he spoke, her mouth falling open as he joked. She shook her head, "No, I didn't mean that at all." She said, knowing from his tone that he was probably joking, but she still didn't want him to think she didn't want to be there. "I just meant that you didn't need to feel obligated to let me." When he offered her the opportunity to meet his mom, she didn't know what to say. "I'd love to meet your mom. I don't know about her loving me, but I know my mom would love you. Probably my abuela, too, and trust me, it's not easy to get my abuela to like anyone, but I think you'd pass her tests." She grinned, and it was true, she wasn't an easy woman to win over, but she had no doubts that if Johari met the woman, she'd fall for his smirk just as much as Vera did. Her grin fell slightly when he spoke, "Oh right, one of your guest rooms..." She said, her voice trailing off, because of course he'd meant her sleeping in a guest room when he invited her to sleep over, she should have known that, they were just friends. Not that she wanted them to be anything more, even the idea of wanting that was silly and a waste of time. "I wouldn't be freaked out, but I wouldn't care if you left me on the couch either, or even if you woke me up and told me to go home. I'd be fine no matter what."
Johari knew what she meant and instead of throwing another joke her way he just nodded. The invitation to meet his mom was something he should’ve offered awhile ago, and that was something he’d hear about once his mom found out how long they had known each other. “Most mom’s love me, so I don’t doubt that. The abuela thing surprises me though. They aren’t usually the easiest to please.” That was something he had experience with, considering he was no stranger to being rejected by parents and their parents. “No...” he trailed off, reaching for the remote and paused the movie. His attempt at being a gentleman failed but it could’ve been worse. “I just didn’t wanna make you uncomfortable or anything by offering up my bed, but if you wanted to be my cuddle buddy for the night I wouldn’t mind.” He didn’t bother looking up as he spoke, not wanting to see her reaction just in case he wasn’t a fan.
Vera nodded, "She's not easy to please, half the time I'm not even sure if she likes me." She said with a laugh, "But I think she'd like you. Or at the very least, she probably wouldn't try to hit you over the head with a wooden spoon, and that's saying something." She shrugged. If she could reach out and smack herself, now would be the perfect time to do so, because she'd gone from blushing over the idea of being in his bed, to being upset that he didn't want her there, and now he was offering it, and all she could do was sit with her mouth hanging open, trying to figure how to respond. "N-no." She finally stuttered out, though she wasn't sure what she was saying no to. Her cheeks were bright red again, but this time with embarrassment and she didn't know what to say or do. Why did she have to be like this? Why couldn't she just be like normal people her age, and take an offer for something she'd just been thinking about earlier, something she'd definitely liked the idea of, and just be happy? Why did she have to feel so nervous that her hands shook, and why did her only kind of experiences like this with any guys have to be with her ex, who had nothing but make her more awkward and uneasy in this kind of situation. She'd never been one to hook up, and while Johari hadn't suggested that they should, in anyway, she didn't know if that was what he was trying to subtly suggest. "I've never-...I mean, I don't-...I'm not good at-..." Why couldn't she just form a sentence? It really wasn't that hard. "I've never done that before. Slept over in someone's bed, I mean." She whispered, her eyes fixed on her hands, more embarrassed now than she had been all night. "But I didn't mean that I didn't want to."
Johari felt special for a moment. He was sure it meant nothing that she invited him to meet her family since he had already offered up meeting his mom, but the fact that she already knew they’d love him made him feel adequate for the first time in the long time. “Is she tall enough to reach my head? ‘Cause when I picture abuelas I picture them as these sweet tiny ladies full of rage.” He said with a slight chuckle, hoping that didn’t come off offensive or anything. There wasn’t sure what she was saying no to, but either way he accepted it. Johari wasn’t the type to force anything on anyone, no matter how bad he wanted it himself and he wasn’t going to start now. He accepted the silence that filled the room, almost surprised that there was no awkward tension that followed afterwards. Talking was sure to ruin things so he just sat there until she decided to speak again. He knew he should’ve just kept his mouth shut on the matter. He could’ve just stayed on the couch with her like he had plan and the night would’ve gonna a lot smoother for the both of them. “It’s just gonna be us sleeping. I promise. I mean it’s pretty obvious that we’re just friends, so I thought cuddling would be fine. Was I wrong?” He almost regretted what he said as soon as he said it, because he knew he didn’t want to just be her friend.
Vera laughed, shaking her head, "She definitely couldn't, but she'd climb on a stool just to reach it if she felt like you needed it." She said, and it wasn't necessarily a joke, either. "She's definitely tiny, and fully of rage, but I'm not sure I'd include sweet. I mean, she's great, but she's not sweet." Vera grinned. Her heart rate had accelerated, and she felt like she was messing up the entire night. She was grateful that she'd been looking away from him when he spoke, because she wasn't expecting them to sting so badly. The reminder, not that they were just friends, but that it was so obvious, it just made her remember exactly why even the entertaining the idea of possibly having feelings for Johari was stupid, because he'd never want her, he wanted to be friends, that was all. Still, she knew that the look on her face would show how much hearing what she already knew hurt. Vera bit her lip, looking over at him finally and then nodding. "Right, obvious. Of course." She agreed, though her voice was much flatter now, and a part of her just wanted to leave. To go and sulk on her own, and beat herself up in private for getting ahead of herself, for letting herself entertain any kind of idea or anything more than friendship. But she didn't want to be rude, and even if she knew it was dumb, she didn't want to end her time with him. Still, she didn't know how to answer his question, she didn't want to agree that they were just friends, because that just felt like admitting to defeat, and even if she should, she didn't want to, but she did want to spend the night with him. If only she could get over the fear of it, so taking a deep breath, she sighed. "If you're sure you don't mind, I think that would be nice."
Johari laughed and shook his head. “I’m gonna include sweet, ‘cause I’d rather not be afraid of her whenever I meet her. I feel like she’d probably be able to smell fear.” Although he talked about meeting her family like he was fine with it, a part of him was actually scared. Of course she would say they’d love him, he felt like her opinion on him was a little biased. That wasn’t gonna be a thought he’d bother himself with when there were more important things for them to discuss. Keeping himself silent, he brought his attention back to Vera waiting for a response to his stupidity. He noticed the change in her tone and couldn’t help but feel guilty about saying anything. “That’s not what I meant. I just meant you don’t like me the way that I like you, and it’s obvious. But it’s fine, ‘cause I’m cool with us being friends if that’s what you want.” He rested his head in his hands as he let out a deep breath. This is not how things were suppose to turn out, albeit he didn’t really have a plan set in motion for them but it definitely wasn’t this. It wasn’t the perfect time to admit that he had feelings for Vera, but Johari felt like it was a now-or-never situation and he jumped the gun. “But I wouldn’t mind just cuddling. I can handle all that cuteness in my bed without losing my cool,” he said with a slight smirk as he looked over at her in an attempt to lighten the mood.
Vera grinned and nodded, "I mean, she's definitely got a built in lie detector, so who knows what else she can do. I don't think you have anything to worry about, though." She frowned when he spoke again, her brows knitting together as she tried to figure out what he meant, because he certainly couldn't have meant what it sounded like, and she refused to let herself believe he did, she didn't want to get her hopes up for anything. "Of course I want us to be friends, I wouldn't be here if I didn't. What do you mean I don't like you the way you like me?" She couldn't stop herself from asking, and maybe she was being an idiot, maybe it was obvious and she was just missing all the social cues, but she didn't want him to think there was anything about him that she didn't like. Her head was still spinning trying not to land on the ludicrous assumption that he was telling her something she'd been wanting to hear for quite some time, trying not to set herself up for disappointment, when he spoke again. Vera's blush returned, at him calling her cute, and at the idea of sleeping in his bed. "Yeah, okay." She whispered, "I'll stay then."
Johari nodded at her last comment, mentally trying to tell himself that it was true. "She's got a built in lie detector and you're saying I have nothing to worry about? I'll just have to take your word for it." Confusion was the only look on his face now. How could she have not known that he liked her? He knew he had kept those feelings to himself, but he didn't think they were that well hidden. "Was it not...? Did I just...?" Now he was the one tripping over his own words. He thought it was pretty obvious that he had a thing for her, but maybe he was a lot better at subtly than he thought. "I like you in more than the friend way, but it's cool if you don't like me like that." It was rare that Johari admitted his feelings to anyone that wasn't family, but he felt that Vera deserved to know that he had feelings for her. "Thanks." He said, a small smile forming on his face as he placed the top on his container of food. "I'd be sad if you left anyway, he muttered grabbing each of their containers and placed them back in the bag.
Vera nodded, "Are you someone who lies a lot?" She asked, laughing lightly, "You should take my word." When he spoke again, she frowned, trying follow where he was going, but when he finally got it out, she raised her eyebrows in surprise. It was almost like she was waiting for him to start laughing at the joke he'd just told. No one liked her, not like that, guys stared at her, but they didn't fall for her. She'd spent so much time not letting herself be open to even the idea of him ever liking her, she didn't know how to respond to him. "I do." She finally said, "I mean, I have. I've liked you, too. I just-...Never expected you to like me back. I don't really know why you would but, I'm not good that this stuff. I don't know what to do now." She said, laughing awkward, and then smiling again when he thanked her. "Am I too much of a pain if I ask to borrow something to sleep in. I didn't exactly plan ahead."
Johari shrugged at the question as he went on to answer it, "Not really, but there are some things I'd rather not tell to little old ladies, y'know?" He knew he was the type of guy most mothers wouldn’t approve of if they knew what he got up to in his free time. Her silence kept him on edge but he would be fine with whatever she had to say, whether he wanted to hear it or not. “Well if you wanted to see where this would go I could take you out on a date. Do that whole courting thing if you’d like.” The idea of taking it slow wasn’t an idea that he would suggest, but with Vera he felt like it was something he could handle without getting impatient. “Not at all. Would you prefer just an oversized t-shirt or should I find you some shorts too?” He asked making his way to the kitchen to put the food away.
Vera turned a little more serious at his words, nodding, "She just cares that you're a good person, and you are, so she'll like you. Besides, even if my whole family hated you, which they wouldn't, I'd still like you." Her hands shook as she waited for him to respond, still waiting for the punchline of the joke to come, but when he asked if she wanted to go on a date, she wasn't expecting it. "I've never really been on a date, or done the whole ...courting thing." She said, laughing softly with a shrug, figuring she should warn him what he was getting into. "But if you really want to, I'd like that." Vera smiled at his answer, letting herself feel relaxed again for the first time since this whole conversation started. "Just a t shirt is fine, I think I would spend the whole night trying to keep them from coming off if I tried to wear your shorts." She said and then blushed, realizing that it sounded like she was making some kind of joke, when really she was only commenting on their size difference.
Johari knew she meant well so he decided against arguing with her statement, instead just offering her a cheeky grin and kiss to her forehead. "I know you didn't mean for that to special or anything, but it was so thank you for that." His jaw dropped when Vera said that. He knew that not every guy operated the same way he did when it came to getting with a girl, but there had to be some guy out there who knew how to treat a woman. "Have you had a boyfriend before?" He asked, not too sure if he should assume that she was that innocent. Johari didn’t date often himself, but when he did he'd prefer to pace himself just in case he changed his mind on the situation. He had a feeling that wasn't going to be something he’d have to worry about with Vera. "Yeah. I don’t even thinking tying the string would help keep them on but a t-shirt it is."
Vera grinned when he kissed her forehead, deciding to leave the conversation there. When his jaw dropped, and she heard his question, she went pale, not really wanting to get into that topic, but it made sense for him to ask. "Yeah. I dated a guy for two years in high school. We broke up shortly after graduation. But we didn't really go in dates or do that part. When we started dating we were both too young to drive so we would just hang out and then as we got older, we'd already been together a while and dates seemed silly. And he wasn't exactly...Well, anyways." She said, shrugging a shoulder, not wanting to get into the full details of their relationship or how things ended. "I think it would just be more hassle than it was worth, and I usually just sleep in whatever, so a t shirt is perfectly fine."
Johari wasn't that surprised that she had only had one boyfriend, but it did explain why she was the way she was or at least that was his take on it. "Right," he muttered noticing she didn’t finish her sentence. If he would have known it was something she didn't want to talk about "Well hopefully you don’t still dates are silly 'cause I’m a fan of 'em, and if this works out then dates are something that’ll definitely be in your future." He didn't know how things were gonna play out for the two of them, but he thought it'd be fair to let her know what she was in for when it came to being with him, if they ever got to that point that is. He wanted to make a joke after listening to her speak, but considering they had just admitted that they liked each other he decided against it. "You still sleepy or did that conversation wake you up?" He asked as he grabbed her hand and pulled her in the direction of the stairs.
Vera couldn't help but feel embarrassed by her past, not only was she inexperienced, her only boyfriend had broken with her by means of selling naked pictures of her to a tabloid, and it wasn't something she enjoyed talking about. Most of the world has seen the pictures, but she didn't talk about how they ended up there, and now certainly didn't seem like the time to talk about it all. Her smile returned when he brought up bringing her on dates, she didn't want to get ahead of herself, but he made it hard when he made her feel so comfortable. And wanted. "I guess I'll be able to answer that better after you've taken me on one and I have something to base my judgment on." She grinned, and it only grew when he took her hand, following after him, and trying not to think too much about the way her heart was fluttering. "I'm exhausted, honestly." She admitted, "But I can stay up longer if you wanted."
Johari wasn't going to get too ahead of himself because he had a knack for going overboard when it came to showing a girl a good time. He grimaced more to himself as he realised he was already thinking of date ideas for the two of them. This was a bit unlike Johari, but part of him liked that Vera had this sort of effect over him. "Nah, I was just making sure 'cause now I think I'm kinda tired." He said, placing his free hand over his mouth as he stifled a yawn. Opening the door to his bedroom, he walked over to the dresser and sifted through his clothes until he found her a shirt. "There you go, love." Handing her the shirt, he quickly pulled his shirt off and tossing it in the direction of his hamper and making it in. "Two points," he said with a slight grin as he made himself comfortable in bed.
Vera smiled as he said he was tired, "Okay, good. I don't want to seem too lame going to bed this early." She laughed, following him into the bedroom, and trying not to let her nerves build up inside her too much. Vera took the shirt, and thanking him quietly as she watched him remove his own and get into bed. "I'll be right back." She said, motioning to the bathroom door and slipping inside so she could change quickly. She quickly slid out of her dress, and bra, before pulling the t-shirt he'd given her on, and pulling her hair up into a high pony tale so it was out of the way before coming back to the bedroom. Vera frowned for a second, hating that she could feel her heart racing, before making her way to the bed and climbing into it. "Thanks for inviting me to stay. And for the shirt." She whispered, laying on her side so she was staring at him, but still a few inches away from him.
Johari reached over and grabbed the remote off of the nightstand and turned the TV on so the room wasn’t completely silent. He’d be lying if he said he wasn’t nervous about having Vera spend the night, but he tried not to let it show as the girl returned to the bedroom. Looking over at her, he couldn’t help but smile at the sight of her in his clothes. This was something he could use to but he decided not to get too ahead of himself just yet. "No problem. It looks better on you, so it’s all yours if you wanna keep it." He offered, smirking at her as he inched closer. "So did you want to big spoon or would you prefer to be the little one?" Even though the question seemed like more of a rhetorical one, he was seriously asking so he didn't make her uncomfortable but assuming.
Vera felt herself relax as he moved closer, realizing that even if this was something she didn't do, it was still the same Johari she was laying next to. "Maybe you should keep it." She said softly, looking down at it, before looking back up at him. "I may need something to wear again for next time, you know?" She grinned, and then raised an eyebrow at his question, shrugging. "Well, I don't really know. I don't have a preference, I guess. Little spoon seems to make more sense, though." She slid herself closer now, too, trying not to make things awkward.
Johari let a huge grin spread across his face when she said there would be a next time, although he had already assumed there would be it was still nice to hear it. "I was just making sure you weren't one of the jetpacking types. Not that I'd mind if you were." He said as he snaked his arm around her waist and pulled her a little closer. In the beginning Johari thought he would regret telling Vera how he felt, but now he was upset that he didn't do it sooner considering things didn't blow up in his face.
Vera felt her body tense as he put his arm around her, but when he pulled her closer, she relaxed again, her back flush against his chest now, her own arm resting on top of his as he held her. "What's a jetpacker?" She asked, laughing softly, surprised by how comfortable this all was.
Johari let himself get comfortable as he listened to her question. "It's basically a little spoon who prefers to be the big spoon, and since the little spoon is usually the smaller one they look like a jetpack on the other one." He explained, laughing at the fact that he knew what it was to begin with.
Vera laughed at the explanation, shaking her head, and then turning so she was facing him instead. Looking up at him, she wrapped her arm around his shoulders so she was eye level with him, "Does this have a special name too? Cause I like this way too."
Johari felt his heart flutter when Vera turned around and he couldn’t help but stare into her eyes as she looked at him. He let his sight linger there for a moment before shrugging at her question. “I’m not sure if it does, but I like it too.” He whispered, glancing down at her lips and licking his own before averting his attention back to the television.
Vera bushed as he stared at her, but not embarrassed for once. When he looked back to the TV, she settled against him, resting her head against his shoulder. She was beyond glad that she agreed to stay the night, and even that she came over in general. "Goodnight Johari." She whispered, letting her eyes close, not willing to fight off her exhaustion anymore, and far too comfortable to want to.
Johari smiled down at her, knowing that he could get use to this view. Relaxing he exhaled deeply as he let out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding in. “Goodnight, Vera." He muttered happily as he placed a kiss to her forehead, feeling content with how the night ended for the two of them.

You waited while he got out of the car. Noticing straight away there was no gun shoulder strap, he’d come unarmed which you’re pretty sure is unheard of. He was wearing just a white shirt and trousers; simple but damn he looked gorgeous. Shoving your weakness and desire to one side remembering you was in no mood for him. You must have shot him a look as he quickly held up his hands in surrender and smiled
“I just have some business problems to discuss” You was never one to let pleasure interfere with business.
“Let’s walk and talk” your turned and proceeded to let Ted of the lead and started walking into the woods. The rays of the light cut through the trees and the refreshing smell of pine was a nice break from the smog of Gotham.
The Joker now walking beside me, you could feel his eyes examining you and every small movement you made. You suppose he’s only seen me in formal or evening wear never everyday wear.
“Business?” you prompted snapping him out of wherever his fractured mind had wandered off to.
“Yes, well I’m sure you’ve heard something of that bloody Catwoman’s latest heist at the bank”
“I know something of it yes” you replied thinking of the blueprints you supplied her a few days ago and hoping he wasn’t here to hold you responsible.
“Well it’s interfered with one of my plans, stupid cat! and I think you’ll be able to help”
He was asking me for help? Wow.
“What’s the job?” you asked curiosity peaked at the thought of a new challenge.
“I want to hijack the contents of the Mayors vault which until recently was being held at the bank..|”
“I bet he must have a shit ton in there, doesn’t he take bribes from both Maroni and Falcone to influence the police to completely ignore any collateral damage from their gang war?” you interrupted.
“Exactly” he smiled
“Anyway the contents has since been moved to the vaults under city hall, this gives me two problems; one the plans for the vault are currently inaccessible to me” he sounded slightly irritated that he wasn’t able to do something on his own terms.
“Two we know that it can only be opened by the Mayors computer and cannot be accessed...”
“Remotely I know” you interrupted he turned and scowled
“That better not be attitude kitten”
“No, but it can be accessed remotely but there is still a slight issue”
“Which is?” he asked
“It can be accessed by another computer but it has to be on a computer on the same server and must be within 30 metres” you could see the thoughts churning round behind his eyes.
“Well that could make my life easier” he smirked. Ted was still running around aimlessly and sniffing everywhere his nose could reach.
You soon came to a clearing in the woodland with a couple of large fallen trees and fresh green grass covering the floor.
“Isn’t it beautiful” you asked out loud not really thinking of who you was talking to.
“I can think of more beautiful things” His eyes turned from deep in thought to hungry. He looked at you and lunged. Pushing you back into the tree behind you so hard you could feel the bark scraping your shoulders. You gasped having no time to react before you arms were lifted and secured above your head and he kissed you hard. You caved into him despite your brain screaming at you to resist as you let his hands explore your body leaving tingles wherever they touched.
What is this? it feels like were just magnets we get to a certain point and then the incredible lust and desire takes over us both; it’s electric and addictive.
He allowed your arms to drop, your hands ran through the back of his neon hair and pulled. He pressed his body harder into you. With your breathing growing faster, his lips letting out small purrs you tried to push back only to be pushed back even harder into the tree.
Something vibrated in his pocket which stopped him from unhooking the back of your outfit.
“Yes” he barked and walked away trying to contain his heavy breathes, leaving you flustered against the tree. It took a few minutes for you mind to come back to earth.
“Are you all incompetent idiots” he shouted
“Of course you are, fine I’ll come and deal with it” He ended the call and put the phone away back in his pocket and turned around to face you changing from furious to looking at me apologetically, he walked over and kissed my forehead and took both my hands in his
“Come round later and we’ll finish talking”
He looked at you and smiled once more before storming off. You hadn’t even hardly started talking but you realised you’d have to go over anyway as your main laptop was still at his place. As if Ted knew he started chasing after him
“Come on Ted” you shouted stopping him in his tracks until he redirected and came bounding back towards you. You brushed yourself down and tried to see how much damage had been done to you shoulders before walking off in the opposite direction to J feeling hot and now very flustered.
Your afternoon after that was not productive at all, you just lounged around the house with Ted not being able to get The Joker out of your mind. With the time finally arriving to get ready, you just went with black trousers and a long white blouse as you wasn’t 100% sure what sort of situation you’d be walking into.
When you arrived outside there was only one guard who let you in straight away, apparently still refusing to look at you. You got to the spacious living room and Frost was sat on a large black leather corner sofa reading the newspaper opposite a large glass TV unit which was equip with a Playstation. You had to smile at picturing Mister J sat getting frustrated playing on the console. The room was like every other, neutral but classy. When Frost saw you he stood up
“Boss Is just grabbing shower, but you can wait for him in his office be warned though he’s in a foul mood” Glad I wasn’t the only one left frustrated.
“Thanks, I can make my own way” you slowly made your way through the corridors past the bedroom and towards his office you stopped, smiled and headed back to his bedroom. Opening the door quietly listening for any movement, when you heard nothing but the shower you walked in closing the door quietly between you. Steam was creeping out from the gap in the bathroom door. Unsure of how much time you had you rushed over to the bed and starting slipping out of your clothes. While doing so momentarily questioning why you cared about his mood and making him feel better.
So there you were, sat at the end of his bed in just underwear and the white blouse. You’d undone the top few buttons of the blouse making sure the underwear was fully visible. You legs were crossed and you’d let your hair down and brought it over one of your shoulders.
You didn’t have to wait long the shower soon stopped running and moments later he emerged from the bathroom, a white towel wrapped round his waist; just so you could see his V lines, his pale skin almost glistened in the light with the water, which was slowly trickled down his tattooed body. He was rubbing his hair dry with a towel which was draped around his neck. When he looked up it took him a few seconds of gawking before he said anything
“To what do I owe this surprise” He stopped drying his hair and let the towel drop round his neck, his hair slightly fell to the side instead of the usual slicked back position.
“Well you seemed a bit tense when you left earlier so I thought maybe I could help” you smiled flawless in your movement off the bed making your way over to him.
“Oh you did, did you and why did you think that”

Welcome to Part 4 of my “First Steps” project which focuses on restrictions, guidance, and freedom in the initial moments of open world games. You may find it helpful to visit Part 1 for an introduction to the project and an overview of my line of inquiry. In the weeks to come, I’ll also be playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and Grand Theft Auto V. In previous weeks I wrote about The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Spoiler Warning: While I avoid major spoilers for the games discussed as part of this project, know that minor spoilers may lie ahead. Discussion of each game’s plot/narrative elements does not exceed the first 2 1/2 hours of play.
Observations & Reflections:
Fallout 4 begins with a cutscene that establishes a bit of a history for the world players will encounter (“war never changes” and all that jazz). After the scene ends, players are left staring into a mirror to begin personalizing an avatar. For the sake of timeliness with this project, I chose the default avatar.
Once I had selected myself, I was free to explore my family’s home. I poked into each of the rooms—the master bedroom, the utility room, Shaun’s bedroom, and the kitchen/living space—and interacted with my wife and Codsworth before a knock at the door required my attention. Being confined to this space allowed me to interact with objects, learn a little about myself and my family, and get used to the mechanics of moving around and interacting with objects.
At the door was a Vault-Tec salesman. This brief exchange served as a narrative element as well as an introduction to the dialogue and S.P.E.C.I.A.L. systems.
After closing the door on the rep, a disturbing story broke on the news of bombs dropping on the East coast. An alarm sounded, and my family rushed outside to evacuate to a vault that would provide safety. This is when I began to explore the surrounding area. My family’s home rested in a neighborhood with similar looking houses in a culdesac. Instead of following my wife and my panicked neighbors down the road, I broke away toward the dead-end. The entire neighborhood in this direction was blocked off from the woods beyond by fences and hedges—there was no way out.
The houses along here could not be entered, and the area was clearly designed to designate players in the direction of the vault. I went back toward my wife who was faithfully waiting for me to proceed. We then followed the direction of a man in uniform beckoning for us. Speaking of which, there were several characters ready to point me in the right direction. Rather convenient.
Moving toward the vault provided me with yet another opportunity to push against the game’s direction. Near the street a soldier was motioning for people to take the path that led across a bridge and up a hill. I followed my wife on this path but broke away before crossing the bridge. My deviance from the path was punished as my poor avatar died from the nuclear blast and was sent back to the last autosave. I tested this twice to see if this was an issue of time or boundary since during the first attempt I had spent much of my time slowly exploring the neighborhood. On my second run, I followed my wife immediately, never leaving her until the bridge where I again diverged from the path. Again, I was met with sudden and nuclear death. This, of course, makes narrative sense as the threat of a nuclear blast should require some urgency.
Back on the path, there was no mistaking where I was meant to go. Another soldier motioned up the hill, and a billboard loomed at the entrance of a fenced in area where more than a dozen of my neighbors were standing, waiting to get in. My family was immediately allowed to pass through the gate. A Vault-Tec employee guided us up to the vault where more people were standing. It was then that a nuke dropped, and we were lowered to the safety of the vault.
Luckily, my family was safe. We were quickly ushered further into the vault, guided by a doctor, and directed into some cryogenic chambers. After a cutscene played, I was again awake, but this time a desolate vault awaited me. At this point, I was given relative freedom to roam the vault while a green icon appeared on screen to denote the next objective. I read files and reports from terminals, picked up a weapon, and fought giant cockroaches on my way to picking up a Pip-Boy and leaving the vault. Just like my family’s home and the neighborhood outside, I was restricted to the immediate environment and could only explore so far. The vault provided some background for Vault-Tec and their intentions for the vault. It also set the tone for the game—some of the cryochambers contained dead occupants, certain chambers were trashed, stations were abandoned, and several skeletons reminded me that I was a survivor in a broken world. I was met with similar restrictions and sights outside the vault.
The world above ground bore the scars of the blast, and the neighborhood below was hardly recognizable with its state of decay. What interested me about the immediate area around the vault was that a fence surrounded the top of the hill, but there was a predominant opening where the neighborhood was visible. Of course the gateway I had passed through on my way to the vault earlier was still accessible. It seems the stretch of absent fencing looking over the neighborhood was intentional so as to encourage players to head in that direction whether they took the same path down from the vault or not.
I continued with my rebellion against the game’s subtle hints by passing through the fence and marking a location on the map south of my old home. The map served as further reminder of where I was meant to go. The solid green marker to the right of the gear above indicates the neighborhood and subsequently my home. To my surprise, I was allowed to travel away from the neighborhood unhindered. That is until I ran into a raider and a pack of wild mongrels and died.
Before this unfortunate encounter, I spoke with a trader and stole a silver pocket watch (I passed up the Wonderglue). The freedom granted once exiting the vault makes me wonder just how far players can go, narratively, before returning to the neighborhood. Would other quests become available to players? Could players bypass Sanctuary entirely? Sadly, I didn’t have the time to explore this further.
Upon revival from the mongrel incident, I again left the vault and followed the path down the hill, across the bridge, and into the neighborhood. I gained XP from discovering the location, an indication I had in fact arrived exactly where I was meant to be. I then ran into Codsworth in front of a dilapidated home and received more contextual information (how much time had passed and the like). After our conversation was finished, I received an objective to search the neighborhood with my old friend. This activity allowed me to practice my exploration, looting, and combat skills and was easily completed. I was then directed to seek out Concord.
If players followed all of the game’s initial cues, they would find leaving Sanctuary as the point where the game opens. However, Fallout 4 isn’t done with its guidance at this point, but players should have enough working knowledge to attempt survival in the post-apocalyptic world. A new companion is introduced shortly after at the Red Rocket, which stands rather prominently next to the road, along with more narrative elements in Concord.
While the game has spatial limits in the beginning, freedom to explore and direct one’s path can be achieved within an hour of playing. The limitations in place did not seem suffocating to me as I played and, in fact, seemed rather fair for a game I knew would eventually offer a wide open world experience. The guidance was welcome and helped to expedite the tutorial elements. And similar to other open world games, the map became available early on to supply further direction. An Introduction
When it comes to Star Wars, I grew up in a strange period of purgatory. Unlike the kids of the 70’s and the 80’s, (the latter of which only comprising the first three years of my life), I have no memories of seeing any of the original films in theaters. But neither did I spend my golden years surrounded by the omnipresence that is Star Wars, like the children of today. My earliest memories of Star Wars come from commercials for Micro Machines’ “Star Wars Action Sets,” or the odd clip featured on Muppet Babies. It wasn’t until I was nearing 7 years old that my father was prompted by the promotional sale of THX’s digitally remastered VHS release to buy these movies on a lark, and show them to my sister and I.

In later years, I would collect each and every one of these, in lieu of any of the Kenner line. They imprinted on me, early.
Now, my father is not the ubergeek that I am. This was a guy who owns his own construction business, loves college football and was the quintessential jock, growing up. In my youngest years, I do recall him being a fan of Star Trek - The Next Generation, but aside from that, he didn’t, and still doesn’t, bear the trappings of what we would recognize as “nerd culture.” And yet, even so, he had a sneaking suspicion that we might appreciate these movies. Little did he know he was creating a monster. My sister and I sat glued to the TV as we binged both A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back, periodically taking breaks to run upstairs from the TV room and re-enact our favorite scenes. For the record, I do remember the revelation of Vader’s true identity spoiled for me long before I ever saw the movie.
"Well, thank you, Mr. Blow-The-Picture-for-Me.”
Of course, the day after that was Sunday, which meant we were both returning to our Mother’s house, after spending the weekend with Dad. My parents had divorced a few years prior, which meant that every other weekend we spent with my father, while the remainder of the time, we lived with her. This, of course, meant that it was going to be another two weeks before I got to figure out what happened in Return of the Jedi. It was agony. I couldn’t focus in school, (not that I was overly concerned with that, anyway), none of my friends had seen any of them, so I couldn’t even talk with them about that, and, of course, this was a time before the ubiquity of the internet, so looking up spoilers wasn’t even an option. After a few days, I begged and pleaded with my mom to take me to Blockbuster Video so that we could rent the third movie. They didn’t have it. Not that it was already on loan...they simply didn’t have a copy in stock.
And apparently, insisting my mother buy me ANOTHER copy of the trilogy was “unreasonable.”
Finally, the two weeks were up, and after a grueling two-hour car ride to Chatham County, North Carolina, I threw my copy of Return of the Jedi into the VCR and sat with my sister to watch. It was pure catharsis. The fear, the anxiety, the uncertainty about the future that Luke must have felt between episodes V and VI was mirrored in my own grip of suspense, and when the Jedi finally returned, he did so with gusto. To my relief, Luke did not end up killing his father, but instead, met a form of reconciliation. A realization that despite their differences, Luke and Anakin were more alike than perhaps either of them initially realized. It hit me very close to home. After all, if there was hope for Vader and Luke, perhaps there was hope for me and my father, as well.
My father and I’s relationship was complex, to say the least. As mentioned previously, we could not have been more different in terms of interests and hobbies. For that matter, we often found ourselves butting heads more often than not. As a child of divorced parents, especially at such a young age, I had my fair share of trust issues that manifested themselves in assorted ways. And my father’s patience could sometimes be very thin. In retrospect, I feel that he did the best that he could, and I certainly didn’t make things any easier on my part. My desires to dream big often came at the cost of my focus on reality. In short, the idea of staying on the farm, fixing Moisture Vaporators seemed like agony, while I’d rather be playing with my Skyhopper.
“Ptew! Ptew! Take that, Womprat!”
Much like the aforementioned pair, my father and I did eventually grow to a more mutual understanding that came with age and maturity, on both of our parts, and a developing sense of compromise. However when the credits rolled for the final time, I remember being struck with the strongest sense of depression. After all, it was over. There were no more adventures to be had. Of course, there were rumors, at the time, of the prequel trilogy coming to light, soon...but those were many years incoming. Until my next trip to the library revealed to me that the adventures had not ended...they had only begun.
While far from the first written, Timothy Zahn’s Thrawn Trilogy books certainly among the most popular and groundbreaking.
My sister, being a bit older than me, was able to tear through Timothy Zahn’s Heir to the Empire and subsequent books, while I tried to occupy myself with slightly easier fare. I tore through Kevin J. Anderson’s Young Jedi Knights series the way kids today absorb Harry Potter. Which doesn’t surprise me, as from a narrative standpoint, the two bear very striking similarities. For the record, I’d take training on Yavin IV with Luke Skywalker over a letter from Hogwarts any day of the week. As for creating my own stories, my stepmother worked for a distribution company that focused on memorabilia, and as such, I had access to not only toys but trading cards, posters, cardboard standups, everything. And of course, at the time, catalogs and special orders were the only place where such things could be procured. Christmas of that year consisted of nothing but Star Wars.
Imagine, if you can, a time when Star Wars merchandise was hard to come by.
I finally got to see my favorite movies on the big screen once again when in 1997, the Original Trilogy was re-released into theaters for the Special Edition. Seeing the updated special effects was...kind of cool, but I never felt there was anything particularly wrong with them in the first place. Spoiled by such realistic effects as seen in Jurassic Park, their dated hokiness only added to their charm. To me, it was somehow more impressive that they were able to do all of that without computers. But the bonus side-effect of the Special Edition was the bringing of Star Wars back into the cultural spotlight. Not only did toys return to the shelves, but games like Rebel Assault II and Masters of Teräs Käsi for the Sony Playstation gave these weird little movies that only I seemed to love a sense of legitimacy.
Ahh, Masters of Teräs Käsi, the fighting game that gave players control of their favorite Star Wars characters. Like Luke, Leia, Chewbecca, and of course, the unfortunately monikered Hoar.
Of course, being a kid, I didn’t have much of the geeky sense of ownership that comes with a niche interest becoming more mainstream. To me, I was simply thankful that my friends were starting to take an interest. Within a few years, speculation began to stir about the impending release of Star Wars: Episode I. And then came the day that the trailer dropped. I remember waiting hours, on my dial-up connection, for a grainy trailer to load, playing whatever footage had already buffered over and over again until finally getting to watch the entire trailer from start to finish. Now, in my older, more cynical times, I would cringe at the enthusiasm that I expressed for The Phantom Menace, but of course, at the time, I was simply happy to see another Star Wars movie. And while my first love shall always remain the originals, in spite of myself, I can’t outright say that I am capable of hating any of them.
Hate does, after all, lead to suffering…
It seems almost embarrassing to say that most of my passions can be sourced, in some way, from Star Wars. My love for reading developed from both the previously mentioned Young Adult novels and also Lord of the Rings, books that were recommended to me simply because of my love of Star Wars. I grew up from playing “the Adventures of Luke and Leia” with my sister to telling my own stories via many of the Star Wars Role-Playing Games that have come out across the years, (and continue to do so, to this day.) My admiration for Voice Acting coming from the sheer astonishment that the guy who voiced the Joker in my favorite cartoon also played Luke Skywalker. And my love of filmmaking can be traced back to the puppetry and special effects utilized in the originals. Indeed, this blog, a Star Wars blog, is the conduit through which to pursue my passion for writing.
With movies being released, television shows in development and/or production, numerous comic book titles published by Marvel, and full-length novels being written on the regular, this franchise - which started out as three simple movies - only seems to be getting bigger by the day. This blog, for the most part, is an exploration of the stories that exist within the Star Wars canon. An exploration of the overarching story of the Skywalker family, and the struggles of the Light against the Dark. In addition to that, however, it is also an insight into the fandom of Star Wars, itself, and just what it is about these stories that want us to create our own. Whether you love the prequels, or hate them; whether the idea of a new generation of Star Wars fans delights or repulses you, and whether the codifying and quantifying of canon versus Legends is a source of relief or frustration -- we all want to live, if only for an hour or two, in a Galaxy Far, Far Away...

Big Money And Big Smithing
Okay I’m a level 31 Nord so I know what I’m talkin about.
1 Buy the book transmute for a local shopkeepers or jarl mage.
2 Go to the blacksmith in the city and buy all the irom ores.
3 Use the spell twice as many times as you got ores.
4 You should have a lot of gold ores.
5 Go to the forge and go to jewerley and make all the gold rings you can.
6 Go to the local shopkeepers and sell the rings, but you can only sell so much til you have to wait 2-3 days til he/she has all her money back.
Putting Bucket On A Persons Head With Out Them Knowing
This a super easy way to steal stuff off a person without them knowing its really helpful if your on a quest. First, pick up a bucket by holding the A button until you are able to move it around (the bigger the better). Next, move the bucket over the person of your choice then drop it on that person. Finally, crouch make sure you are undetected by everyone around you then steal the desired item. Thats it but I’m not sure if it works on bandits and guards but it works on every one else and it helps to be high in sneak hoped this helped and if it didn’t sorry please like and comment.
Invisible Chest
If you take a carriage to dawnstar you should go to iron breaker mine. As you approach the mine look to your left there should be some trees and a few rocks go over to them and look around it might take you a minute to find it but theres an invisable chest there. Now depending on what level you are there is one of everything in that chest. Now go outside the village and there should be this little camp out side if not wait a few days and it will come. Now trade 1 thing with the carravan and buy 1 thing after this save your game, and the next day you come back to it ( real world time) there should be 1 of every thing back in that chest enjoy!
The Oghma Infinium
When you get the book from Septimus and the cube, go to the house in Whiterun. Take the Oghma Infinium to the book shelf and open the shelf. Click read then put the book on the shelf. Get the book agin and click do not read then read it again and repeat.
Get Everything To Level 100 In 5 Minutes
Once you get the book “oghma infinium”, go to or buy the house in Whiterun and go to the bookshelf in the alchemy laboratory. Crouch and go into first person, then activate the bookshelf, go down to books, activate the book, choose the desired path, then place the book on the bookshelf. Once you see the book appear on the bookshelf, activate it, say do not read, and take the book. Do this as many times as needed/desired. BTW, do not read the book before you get to the bookshelf or you ruin the glitch. I recommend saving when you get to the bookshelf just in case.
Free House In Whiterun
Once you become the thane of the city, go to the top of dragoncreach and wait untill the guy you buy the house from comes behind the desk. Ask to buy the house from him, and quickly open the chest under the desk, put all your gold in it, then he will give you the key, but you don’t lose any gold.
Claw Puzzle Tip
When you are at a part with a claw (golden, diamond, ivory, etc. ) instead of opening the door with trial and error go into your inventory and look at the claw’s bottom and you will see the same symbols as the ones on the door. From top to bottom in the same order have the wall match the claw and the door will open.
How To Become A Vampire
When you are fighting against vampires, you also have a chance of contracting vampirism each time they land a hit on you – that could turn you into a vampire! If you contract the disease, it can be cured with any of your regular disease potions. But, if you want to turn into a vamipre, you can wait three days and the disease will become permanent
There are four stages of the disease of Vampirism. The longer you go without blood, the more powerful the benefits of vampirism will become, but the weaknesses will also get worse. You can only drink blood from sleeping NPCs. As each stage of vampirism increases, some effects stay the same, while others change. The four stages of Vampirism and their effect (changes between stages are only listed) are as follows:
Stage 1
Vampires have a 25% increase to their Illusion spells. They are 25% harder for NPCs to detect, have 100% resistance to diseases or poisons, and are 25% resistant to ice.
Vampires are 25% weaker to fire, and their health, magic, and stamina stats are reduced by 15 points in the sunlight. Those three stats also do not regenerate.
Vampires have the power to reanimate the dead to serve them. They can also improve their night vision with another power.
Vampires gain a spell that allows them to drain the health of their enemies.
Stage 2
Vampires are 50% resistant to frost, and their vampiric servant and drain powers are more powerful.
Vampires are 50% weaker to fire, and their health, magic, and stamina stats are reduced by 30 points in the sunlight.
Vampires gain the “Vampiric Seduction” power, which calms enemies (animals and people) for 30 seconds. Thus, they will not attack you.
Stage 3
Vampires are 75% resistance to ice, and their powers of reanimating the dead and draining the living become more powerful.
Vampires are 75% weaker to fire, and their health, magic, and stamina stats are reduced by 45 points in the sunlight.
Stage 4
Vampires are 100% resistant to ice, and their vampiric servant and drain powers are more powerful.
Vampires are 100% weak to fire, and their health, magic, and stamina stats are reduced by 60 points in the sunlight.
All NPCs are hostile towards Stage 4 vampires.
Vampires gain the “Embrace Of Shadows” power, which turns your character invisible for three minutes.
Once you’re turned into a vampire, you can only lose it by turning into a werewolf (lycanthrope), or by completing the “Rising at Dawn” quest.
Infinite Arrows Of Your Choosing
1st get a partner, hire one or earn one it does not matter. 2nd give your partner the arrow of your choosing it does not matter what kind. 3rd go fight something, when your partner attacks the enemy they can use an infinite number of the arrow you gave them. 4th if you want you can pick the arrows that your partner shot and place them in your inventory.
Pick Pocket Repeatedly
Start by going to jail in Riften and then unlock your jail cell door. If you lookdirectly across from your cell, you’ll see a guy named Black Briar. You canpickpocket him even after he’s caught you. Pickpocket all of his stuff and thenplace it back into his inventory and pickpocket it all again. You can repeat thisany number of times – as many times as you want!
Slow Motion Mode
To do this glitch, you’ll need a bow, an arrow, and the Eagle Eye perk. All youneed to do is zoom in with the bow and the game will then slow down. Then, reloada save while still zooming! The game will stick in slow-motion mode until you tryto use the zoom feature again. We know it works on the 360. Not sure on otherplatforms.
Get Two Followers, And Wearwolf/Vampire Hybrid (Dawnguard DLC)
First off, go through the Dawnguard DLC until you get to turn into a vampire lord, then continue until serana joins you. Afterwards join the companions, continue until you become a werewolf (4th mission in) and have vampire lord power selected. Press RB and a at the same time, you will drink the blood, and when you wake up you will burst into a vampire lord, as soon as you can, revert form, and talk to Serana (must be done quickly for this to work) then just wait a bit until the screen goes black, then you will wake up near windhelm, aela the huntress will join you as well (do not continue the companions questline from there (AELA WILL LEAVE YOU! ) because aela and Serana are invincible they cannot die, and they will follow you around almost everywhere. Hope this helped. JUST IN CASE, SAVE BEFORE YOU TRY THIS, in case it doesn’t work.
Ride A Horse In Deep Water!
To do this glitch you need a horse then go to a place with a deep lake or river or even an ocean go deep into the water until your horse starts swimming then get off of your horse then get back on it again and you’ll be running in water. With a horse! Might take a few tries to get right.
My Perfect Character Build
My Name Is Pakiria, a level 81 imperial.Be A nord with two handed weapons, like the Dragon Greatsword.Light Armor easier to make – Dragonscale armor.Lockpicking, because thieves make bank! And finally, the Staff Of Magnus, because it’s so cool.
New Gold
Any jarl or sometimes person you help along the way by doing tasks for them, you can usually go through their chests and drawers with new gold present. Sometimes its laid out on the counter or under the one the innkeepers stand. You can only do this when you have helped the person out enough.
Duplicate Books
You can repeat this glitch if you own a house with an alchemy lab. Activate the bookshelf and then place the desired book to be duplicated on the shelf. Leave the menu and immediately activate the bookshelf again. If your book has not yet physically appeared on the shelf, wait at the menu screen where you can loot the bookshelf. Once you see the book in front of you (it will hover in front of the shelf while the menu is open), loot the book from the shelf in the menu. Immediately close the menu, and you can click on the book itself to read and then take it. You will now have looted the book twice, putting two of them in your inventory. Repeat this as many times as desired. It is especially useful with expensive books such as the Oghma Infinium.
Cure Lycanthropy
First you must join The Companions faction and successfully complete all quests for The Companions Faction. Once that’s done, talk to the leader of The Companions, Kodlak Whitemane, or ask around about a cure for werewolves. Speaking with Aela the Huntress in Whiterun will also tell you more about The Companions’ affliction. The Companions will offer you a special quest that will cure your lycanthropy, which is a permanent change. You will never be able to become a werewolf again. Successfully complete the quest to not be a werewolf ever again.
Partners Have Infinite Uses On All Enchanted Weapons
1st get a partner, hired or earned it does not matter. 2nd give them any enchanted weapon the stronger the better ?3rd when your partner uses the weapon the weapon never runs out of the enchantment, hint if they have a weapon with 25 fire damage they will always do fire damage. I found that this also works with the soul trap enchantment, give all your soul gems to your partner and give them a weapon with the soul trap ability and they will fill your soul gems for you and never run out of soul trap.
How To Get Around Faster
I realized this after playing for two days and alot of running. If you need to go across the map you can look for the nearest capital and pay for a carrage ride there and then walk the much shorter distance to your final destination there is a cart outside each capital.
Unlimited Containers And Storage
All of the containers in Skyrim are persistent and hold items that do not disappear. So, any container (for example: barrels, boxes, chests, etc.) can be used to store your items. You can use containers near loading locations to keep things more organized. But, be careful, because some containers can “reset” and your items could vanish. You can try out different containers to see the effects. To be the safest, you’ll need to purchase a house and store everything within it.
3d Model Views
When the Skyrim loading screen appears, you can move the left and right analog sticks. When you move them, you’ll rotate the models displayed on the screen.
Muffle Spell Tip
Almost all good spells that you can use make you actively use them in combat or use them on specific objects. The Muffle spell does not have the same requirement. The Muffle spell is an Illusion spell that quiets your movements. You can repeatedly cast Muffle while you are walking around to increase your Illusion skill and increase your overall experience.
Cheats
Jump Up Mountains Backward!
If you can’t climb up a hill/mountain any further because it is too steep, try this! You can turn around (so your butt faces the mountain – and you’re looking away from the mountain). Once facing the opposite direction, try jumping and pressing the control stick toward the mountain. If you do this a bunch, you’ll actually go up the mountain even though it’s too steep to walk up. You can also try diagonally in both directions to help you creep up the mountain.
Solution To The Dragonreach Cave Puzzle (Spoiler)
For the first mission for Dragonreach (inside the cave) you must solve a combination puzzle. Look to the wall above the closed gate and you will see two heads with a gap in the middle. Each one holds a picture of a creature (snake / dolphin). On the floor by the lever is the third creature (a snake).The combination is Snake, Snake, Dolphine. The second combination is found deeper in the chambers and it is a turntable combination, which is more difficult. The solution is Bear, Owl, Bird. Insert the claw, and then the door will open. That’s it!

Magic Paper Easter Eggs
When you go inside of the Dawnstar Museum, look for the display case that has somepieces of paper inside it. You can pick the cabinet’s lock and then get the paper.Then, if you cast a spell on it, it will turn into a bucket. What you do with thebucket is up to you.
Glitches
Duplicate Apparel Glitch
Place any apparel (armor, jewelry, etc.) item on a mannequin. Then put the item back into your inventory. Leave the location of the mannequin, and go to a different area (for example, exit a house), then return to the mannequin to find the item still on the mannequin, which you can then take. Repeat this as many times as desired.
