tbh ailette and hestio have similar character voices sometimes and both tesilette and teshes have that "tesilid argente can you LOOK after yourself better" thread running through them but the difference is that like.
teshes is a little like tesilette if they didn't have the transmigrator's privilege and if ailette was stupider and louder about things she disliked and if she was also a girlfail
#mimin yaps#(me having nothing but bad things to say about hestio) and this is why i love him#i think teshes compels me more because hestio is bullyable#and bc its way angstier bc of the. lack of transmigrator's privilege#tbh if i were willing to put ailette through the blender i probably would have just written angsty tesilette#instead of gg down this rabbithole#but unfortunately for me i am not deranged and sadistic enough to make tesilette angstier than wtv is in canon#if i attempt to conceive a bad end tesilette i will shrivel up and cry#i think teshes is also compelling to me bc hestio is so annoying that the idea of tesilid being stupidly in love with him#is just really funny and heartwarming to me#of all people to fall in love with he choose the funky little guy who's kind of awkward and unsociable#and then he gets stuck with this for the rest of his stupidly long life bc tesilid argente only falls in love once

MM posting how Mayans is the best set he's ever worked on has me loling. Dude, we know you hated GG, move on already. Or is it just me?
Anon, you have sent me down SUCH a rabbithole this afternoon, because as soon as I saw your ask, I was like 'didn't he say the exact same thing about the All American set?' only when I checked his IG, I couldn't see any posts about that show at all. I'm sure he posted about it (and as posts, not as stories), so now I'm wondering if he deleted them? I don't know! Does anyone else remember?
But yeah, I like to give him the benefit of the doubt and think he's just maybe not great with personalising compliments towards workplaces and so 'best set he's ever been on' is just his go-to, but I do think you're probably right and he means to be petty about the GG set. It does have the unfortunate side effect though of being shady towards every other show he's ever been on, haha, but alas. I'm glad he's enjoying his time on Mayans. Hopefully it helps him to get to a new phase in his career where he feels he can truly move forwards and focus on the future instead of feeling the need to compare things to the past.
