From Ash to Dụt

They say it rose from the ground underneath The Great Tree. The roots of The Great Tree seemed to have disturbed its rest and now it walks the land, once again searching for the perfect place to slumber. Dụt is simply what it sounds like. A being of mud and dirt. Dụt taller than the tallest trees, even rivaling small mountains. Dụt may leave rubble in its wake but it does not mean harm. It is simply a relic of a time where worrying about the homes of people of our size wasn't an issue.

It's Not Easy Being Green

During the Call of the Great Tree, the Babble-Rousers came to be. Frog-folk of different shades of blues and greens. Their vocal sacs are translucent and the species seems lighter than air. Some say they were born from bubbles in the mud. Babble-Rousers live in a swamp-like environment that can be heard from miles away, simply due to the constant chatter. Babble-Rousers talk about anything and everything and never stop--even mumbling in their sleep--and because of this, they aren't often welcomed in other societies (but they don't mind).

Ask any ol' Babble-Rouser on the streets of New Borpburg who the best musician of all time was and 9-times-out-of-10, you'll get Jean Trufflesworth as your answer. That lady was the queen of lilypad-hop and was no stranger to croak'n'roll either. But what Jean is most known for is being the pioneer in the tadpole greens. The tadpole greens is a genre of music akin to human Dixieland jazz and blues but combined with Babble-Rouser throat-singing. Jean's performances were most ribbeting and continues to inspire Babble-Rousers even to the modern times. With an upright bass and that deep, honey-like voice of hers, they said Ms. Trufflesworth could put a wailing tadpole to sleep, change the mind of an enraged god, or lure a fly from a mile away.
