Ain't Enough Room In This Town...

The blazing sun rises up over the desert town of Scoville, scorching the sand as tumbleweeds roll by. Ol' Skoobut sits on the deck of the Saloon, tuning his dusty, pre-war "banjo". It's an odd name for an instrument but he insists that's what it's really called. He hucks a wad of chewing rum into a rustbucket that clunks its way past him. Them mechanized tin cans were a new addition to town. General Bazlar said having half our population be brainless bots meant making the town safer. Who were we to disagree? And so we led an assault on G.S. Robotics 'bout a pomf-and-a-half ago and came back home with as much scrap as we could handle.

We thought the place'd be abandoned but the security systems lasted the war 'n so we lost quite a few of our folks. Bazlar says its just a part of war but I still ain't sure what war we're fightin'. Before bringing the pile'o'bolts back into town, the General had our best engineers install a kill switch in each and every one'a them automatrons. They don't need food nor water and they can't disagree with anythin' we say 'n so they're actually pretty well-liked 'round these parts. And when yer a Mejite like me, that's sayin' something.

CONCEPT DOODLES for an AU I dabbled in with a few friends after the winter king episode but kinda forgot about after the Fionna and Cake finale... I decided to revisit it and explore a little more after coming to terms with everything LOL... So, it's another "Winter King doesn't die immediately after his crown gets nuked" AU, but THIS TIME he's just dying really slowly (like Simon in the Betty episode) and ALSO joins Fionna, Cake, and Simon on their search for magic crowns. There's no logic behind this tbh, we just wanted to put him through The Horrors. And make them all friends. But mostly The Horrors. :) (he only gets to live as a treat, because I think he's funny).

From Ash to Dụt

They say it rose from the ground underneath The Great Tree. The roots of The Great Tree seemed to have disturbed its rest and now it walks the land, once again searching for the perfect place to slumber. Dụt is simply what it sounds like. A being of mud and dirt. Dụt taller than the tallest trees, even rivaling small mountains. Dụt may leave rubble in its wake but it does not mean harm. It is simply a relic of a time where worrying about the homes of people of our size wasn't an issue.
