Music. My best friend, my first love, my passion, and turns out to also be my thirteenth reason. When my muse runs out, that’s it. My career is over. Old songs are boring, everything now is just so boring and stressful. 

I slammed my hands on my keyboard for the nth time. “Dammit…” I leaned back into my chair, leaning so far back I almost fell to the floor. A heavy sigh left my lips, “Why can’t I come up with anything good anymore?” I looked at the floor, this had been going on for a month, absolutely no songs made, and ten times the stress levels. I knew I needed a break from everything for a while. I needed a change of rhythm.

I grabbed my wallet and jacket and left my genius lab. It’s not a genius lab without a genius in it, I needed to get him back soon. I closed the door, and wouldn’t be returning until this slump came to an end. Which hopefully would be soon.

“What do you mean you’re sick? You sound fine. You were fine yesterday.”

“I’m sick of this job,” I said, hanging up the phone. Instead of heading to Hybe, I called in sick. I might have well as been sick, a producer with no creativity is basically on the death bed. Likewise with an unmotivated musician. Sometimes you just need to get away from what you’re bored of for a while and return to it later. I grabbed my tote bag, put a few things in it, and went to a nearby coffee shop. The second floor is always better than the first, you get a beautiful view of the neighbourhood with all of the foliage.

When we got back from Vegas I never thought I would love to see so much green again. “That’s something I could write about—“ I got my pen out to jot in the small notebook of mine only to see the previous page and stop, “oh… I already did.” I always made writing songs look easy, but it never is. Inspiration appears so randomly, sometimes it comes through so clearly, but other times, like today, it’s coming at me like molasses. The ideas and I are almost like two south poles of a magnet. When I reach out for an idea, it runs away. 

I let out a soft sigh, putting my notebook back into my tote bag. I finished my coffee while stalking my Instagram profile and deleting random DMs. These people are so unhinged online, it’s disgusting to think of the dirty things some people will message you with. They really drown out the important messages.

“Are you unproductive?” The ad blared from my phone. Instagram ads are so well hidden in the system, but that doesn’t make them any less annoying. I was about to scroll before it continued, “maybe it’s time for a change of rhythm. Here’s ten things to help get your motivation back.”

So I listened. Fresh air? Check. Book? Check. Dramas? Check. A will to live? Working on it. 

It’s what I was doing anyway, just taking a break from everything. Plus Namjoon does this kind of stuff all the time. I brought my tote bag to the park and found a shade tree. I pulled out a self-help book by one of my favourite authors and got to reading. There was the slightest breeze, and the sun felt toasty on my legs that poked out from the shade of the tree.

I don’t know when I had fallen asleep, but I was woken up by this girl, playing classical music on her phone. Or maybe it was the sun in my face that really woke me. At the moment, however, I could only focus on the loud music, the very thing I was avoiding. Why did she have to blast it like that? “Hey, can you wear headphones or turn it down?” I felt groggy, and not like waking up… at all. She turned to look at me and I saw her hair, (s/t) skin and (e/c) eyes. ‘Oh, she’s a foreigner.’ I suddenly went into English robot mode, “Hello, your music, turn it down. Please?” Her eyes just went wide, like beautiful marbles. Why were they kind of cute? ‘What if she doesn’t speak English?’ My heart dropped at the thought.

“Oh, I’m sorry.” She replied in English. I sighed with relief and grabbed onto my chest. She bowed and walked away. In the distance, I could see her cover her face like she wanted to crawl into a hole from embarrassment. It almost made me feel guilty. But who plays their music so loudly without headphones on, in public? I thought that was clear internationally too, but maybe not. Who am I to judge?

I grabbed my phone and looked at the time, it was a few hours after when I normally ate lunch. Maybe I should just go home for the rest of the day. ‘Home… Maybe I should go back to Daegu for a bit.’ I packed my book, water, and small picnic blanket into my bag and walked home. The sun felt nice on my skin. I thought about writing a song called ‘Sunkissed’ on the walk home.

“No, I hate it.” I ripped the paper out of my notebook and threw it away. I honestly wanted to cry. Either cry from stress or break everything I could. I opted to cry. And I did, I cried for at least an hour. Through making my lunch. Through eating that lunch while watching a drama on my big flat-screen TV, with Holly on my lap. And finally through my shower to rinse off the dirt from the park. 

They say crying is for the weak, but I don't think so. It’s not a weakness, it’s a sign of struggle, and battle scars. It’s a coping mechanism. Screw those people who talk shit about people who cry too much. 

I sigh after rinsing my hair out. I grab the towel that hangs on the bar attached to the glass of the shower. Suddenly I thought about what I would have to get for my parents. I shouldn’t visit them empty-handed… although I could. “I’ll make something out of wood for them. I already made cutting boards for the members, so… Maybe a coat hanger to put by the door.” I decided. The only thing you can give someone who has everything already or can get whatever they want is something handmade.

I wrapped the towel around my waist so I could dry my hair. I put a few products in it before blow-drying it. Then I put some face cream and sunscreen on my face and went back to my couch to continue the drama. Holly hopped up on my lap and nuzzled at my elbow until I lifted my arm over him. It’s the cutest thing a dog can do. My heart was completely melted by his actions. “Why are you so cute Holly-ah?” I started petting his curly fur and rubbing his ears. “Do you wanna visit Daegu again? Let's start packing tomorrow, huh?”

“Woof!”

There was a hesitation before I raised my hand to knock on the door of the two-story building. My mom came to the door with equal hesitation, then she realised it was me. “Yoongi-ah, what are you doing here all unannounced?” I walked in with my small suitcase.

“I thought I’d visit for a little while. I didn’t think I needed to get an invitation.”

“Of course not. I love seeing my little boy.” She picked up Holly, and took the leash from my hands. “Isn’t that right my little boy?” She asked, referring to Holly. I made a bet with myself that within thirty minutes she would dress him in the silliest little outfit. I don’t know how she gets him to let her, I’m lucky if I can get a bandana on him. Mothers are full of magic. “So what’s the real reason why you came, Yoongi-ah? Is work getting stressful?” I could only nod in response. I didn’t need to say anything.

“Is Hyung home?”

“No, he’s at work, probably like you should be right now.”

“Dad too?”

“Yep. I was about to get dinner ready. We weren't expecting you, so go to the store and get more ingredients.” She shifted Holly to her left hand and grabbed my arm with her right. I was practically kidnapped into the kitchen, and given a list of things to get from the store. I briefly looked at the list, and I could see some things that were not just for dinner.

“Do we need cotton pads for dinner?”

“You’re going to the store anyway, there’s no need for multiple trips today.” She patted my back, and mouthed ‘thank you’. I sighed and began my short journey to the store.

I realised that I should have driven to the store. It never hit me that I would carry more than eight bags home. I had to make two stops, but luckily the stores are relatively close to one another. But that didn’t help my arms from carrying all these bags.

“Need help there?” I turned around towards the voice. I didn’t catch my grin before I saw his face.

“Hyung. Here, take them.”

“All of them?” He started laughing, then realised I was serious.

“Yes,” I replied, holding out all of the bags for him to take. And of course he only took half. “Ya! I said all of them!” I couldn’t throw them all on him before he ran away. We reached home before I knew it. It may have gone faster because I chased him the whole way home.

I only caught up to him after we got home. He was standing by the door, about to take his shoes off, but not quite. He was busy laughing his ass off over god knows what. “Ma, he runs like a grandpa! Hahaha!” 

‘So that’s what it was. He’s talking shit.’ I opened the door and walked in calmly. While taking my shoes off I purposefully nudged my hyung with my shoulder. Sadly, he didn’t fall over as I had hoped. “We bumped into each other while walking home.” I brought the bags to the kitchen, washed all of the vegetables, and put them in the baskets with the matching produce. “Mom, I’m done,” I called out.

“Uhuh,” she replied. She walked past me, and pet Holly, who had been standing right outside of the kitchen which was also the entrance hall of the house. She then fanned her hand towards me, telling me to get out of the kitchen. I jumped, ran to Holly and played with him a little.

“So how are you doing Yoongi-ah?” My brother patted my shoulder, behind me.

“Bored out of my mind. How’s the restaurant going?” At some point, he had gotten a bag of chips.

“Pretty much the same since the last time you visited. Pretty busy on the weekends. I still get some of your little fangirls, asking if you can marry them. Maybe if you actually got married they’d stop asking.” He began to laugh and held his belly.

“Shut it hyung, you’re older than me, what about your wife? Oh right, you don’t have one.” I looked at him smugly with my arms crossed. ‘Seriously, this guy…”

“Ouch. That one hurt.” He wrapped both of his hands around his heart like he had been struck by a bullet. “At least I’m not being asked by millions upon millions of people around the world to marry them. I’m perfectly content without that kind of stress. I’m just gonna wait for my Miss Right.”

“You’re like a billion years old, hyung- You know what? Nevermind.” I let out a long sigh. Sometimes hyung was great, he was the only one that had supported my love for music career through my middle and high school ages. But he could also be a brat as if he was the younger sibling. 

“I’m going to go help Mom cook. Make yourself useless.” I groaned in response as I made my way from the entrance hall to my room, upstairs. I dove through my suitcase to get my tablet and continued the new drama I had started. I don’t usually watch romances, but this one had good reviews from the watchers. There was also an adorable cat. I couldn’t help but want my own when I watched how cute the kitten was in the show.

At some point in time, Holly had climbed the stairs and walked into my room whining. “What is it Holly-ah? Are you hungry?” Holly’s ears perked up and his head tilted at the word ‘hungry’. I got up with an iconic dad grunt and picked Holly up like a purse between my arm and body. When I got downstairs I pulled out some ground beef from the fridge that Mom didn’t use in her cooking, and began to simmer it in the pan. I mixed it with some sweet potatoes and put some spices that vets recommend for dogs like turmeric and such. Holly jumped around sporadically while I put the contents into a bowl for him. “Sit, hand. Other hand, okay!” Holly was always good with the little training tricks I taught him as a puppy.

“Well now that you’re downstairs, dinner is ready. Come eat Yoongi-ah,” Mom said. I hummed back in understanding and walked to the table in the living room that connected to both the entrance hall and the kitchen like a ‘T’ shape.

Were We Ever Happy?

Part 2

Disclaimer : I made up some positions and I am not sure if they even existed but let's pretend they do for the sake of fiction.

Oh and this was inspired by MYG's solo song - Trivia : Seesaw.

She's trying to understand what went wrong. Did she do something bad? Is there someone else? Were they unhappy? Was he only tolerating her and waiting for this time to tell her?

She thought they were happy. That's the only thing that's in her head. Despite the challenges that they faced in their relationship, she liked caring for him. She liked supporting him and encouraging him with everything she had. She loved loving him.

She heard him call her again, "Y/N."

She was mad and hurt, not because he was breaking up with her, but because she does not know why.

"Wait, what... You're ending us?"

He looked uncomfortable, sad and seemed like it was painful for him too. But why?

"I thought about it for days and I think of you and decided that this is for the best..."

"The best for who? For me? When did you decide that? You decided for me?!"

She remembered crying in front of him. She almost begged, but chose not to. For her own dignity, at least what's left of it. He thought breaking up with her is the best for her.

"No. This is not for me. This is for you! I don't know what led to this but this is not what I wanted! But fine! Since you have already decided, then go. I can't do anything more," She sobbed, "Just go. Please leave," she pleaded.

She fell on her knees the moment he closed the door. She knew her uncle did not decide on this because he approved their relationship and also because he does not intervene with his employees' personal affairs unless it would affect the company.

She didn't know how long she sobbed on the floor. She even cooked his favorite food but he ruined the night and broke her heart. She was catatonic and was brought back to her senses when she realized that someone is ringing her doorbell.

She checked the surveillance and saw that her uncle so she quickly composed herself.

"Uncle," she greeted as she opened the door, "Come in."

Bang Si-hyuk gave her niece a warm hug and smiled, "I hope you're well," then he looked at her eyes, "Were you crying?"

She immediately smiled and shook her head, telling him she watched a drama and cried because of it.

"Why are you here? You could have just called," she said.

"It's just a quick visit. I won't be long. I'm around the area so I came to see you and tell you in person."

She nodded and urged her uncle to go on.

"TXT's coordinator and director got sick and won't be able to join them for two weeks. They need someone to be with them, like handle the press and monitor their performances. I couldn't find anybody who can do the job except you."

She only listened so the older man continued, "I am aware that you're all preparing for Bangtan's US tour next month. And I know that this is too much to ask because you have a lot on your plate. But no one can fill in and do the job properly. You're the only one I can trust to do this."

He waited for a response and she thought about it which urged her uncle to go on.

"Their last performance is also in Los Angeles, the same stadium as Bangtan's first concert. You'll have 3 days to rest in between. Their performance director will join them after 2 weeks. You only have to make sure that they're on schedule and hype them. Your presence would mean a lot as you've been working closely with Bangtan Seonyondan. You can communicate with BTS team virtually. You've done most of the important parts anyway so all they have to do is prepare and execute. You'll join them on their first concert."

He waited patiently and watched his niece contemplate.

"When will they leave?"

"In four hours. You have to pack within an hour because they'll pick you up. They have your ticket and passport. Make sure to bring your laptop and phone. Just buy what you forgot at the airport."

"Okay Uncle," she said, "Let's get it get it.

"That's my girl. I know I can always count on you."

He hugged her one more time and left. She closed her door and packed her stuff. Work. That's what she needed. A distraction to clear her head.

It was hectic. VERY HECTIC. But like his uncle said, TXT is really good. There wasn't much to do aside from prepping the boys. They're adorable. She remembers Jungkook in each of them. Chaotic, fun, and adorable. She laughed the whole time she was with them. She knew they'll be at the top of their era. They're talented and good-looking, not to mention towering.

Thirty days passed quickly and the tour ended, leaving her to rest for three days. She didn't even have the time to think about her broken heart because she collapsed on her bed and slept.

If the TXT concert was hectic, it's nothing compared to Day 1 of the Bangtan Concert Tour. Army came from all over the world. It was amazing. So is the press. She had to leave her post and handle the press. She didn't even have the chance to watch their performance because of it.

They went from one stadium to another, and she had loads of work to do. she decided to dedicate the last leg to watch them live. For now, she has to deal with the crazy press.

The last leg was a lot calmer. Press were well behaved so she left that job to one of her colleagues. She decided to do her job as their performance director for the last leg of their concert. She walked out with her long hair chopped short to her shoulders. She's not okay but she has to get through this tour. Alive and with dignity. So she strengthened her mind, "Work first, cry later" she thought repeatedly and went through the schedule.

She went into the dressing area and made a beeline towards Park Jimin.

"NOONA~" He exclaimed, "I missed you! Where have you been all this time? I thought you forgot about me."

"The press here in the US is crazy. I had to handle them amongst other matters to ensure that this concert would go smoothly," she explained, "And how can I forget my adorable Chimchim?" She cooed. She genuinely missed the boys. They're still her friends after all.

"How was TXT?" He asked while his makeup artist is fixing his makeup.

"They're really incredible. They're at the top of their era. They're really following your footsteps," she answered while checking the schedule sheet.

"You're up next okay? Do a good job and as always, give the girls a hell of a performance," She cheered and turned to check on her co-92 liner.

That's the first time after that night that their eyes met. She was not expecting him to be there. But she broke contact first. She can't lose her shit there. She just can't.

"Hey oldie," she casually greeted the oldest member, "Came here to check on my hair. The mirror here looks exceptionally good now that my reflection is there."

Nevertheless, the concert was a huge success. Of course, they have to celebrate afterward. Heartbroken or not, she felt accomplished that she was able to do her job. As she said, she's damn good at it.

The night started with Kim Namjoon thanking everyone and bowing to the Production Team.

"And of course, we have to give a toast to our superwoman here, who made sure to be on top of our concert tour while being on top of TXT's tour. I don't know how she does it, but she's really amazing. Her short hair looks good on her too. A toast to Y/N-Noona."

She smiled at everyone and stood up to bow in appreciation.

"Thank you Joonie. Honestly, it was my uncle's crazy request. I couldn't turn him down because he put his trust in me. I just have to do my best to handle what I can. Luckily, I am surrounded by talented people who can help me do my job better. Kamsahamnida," she bowed again and sat on her chair, feeling a little bit better than before.

She let an hour pass and decided to have an early night. Her colleagues understood how tired she was and even urged her to go back to her hotel and rest. She didn't linger long and quietly exited the restaurant they booked.

She was almost at her car when she was stopped by a big hand grasping her wrist, not tightly but securely.

After such a long time planning to create a studyblr, I finally made it to this point and I’m so so glad to be able to join this community that I’ve been looking up to since I was in the middle school! I’m grateful that now I have time (+ courage) to create my own studyblr, yay! ^_^

Like a gentle breeze of change in the music industry, TOMORROW X TOGETHER can never be defined as just an idol boy group. Rather, they have proved themselves to be poets in their song-writing, artists in the truest sense of the word and rays of hope to millions of young people who can identify themselves in TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s music.

Ahead of TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s upcoming Japanese studio album 'STILL DREAMING' to be released on January 20, 2021 featuring the singles like ‘Drama’, their original Japanese song ‘Everlasting Shine’, a whole new track called ‘Force’, two intro/outro tracks and the Japanese version of their smash hit ‘Blue Hour', Pinkvilla had the honour of interviewing TOMORROW X TOGETHER to catch a glimpse of their artistic process, their inspirations, expectations and more.

The voice of the youth, leaders of the 4th generation of K-Pop and role models to millions, how do you feel about your journey so far?

YEONJUN: Thank you for the compliments! The other members probably feel the same, but every moment I spend with them is always exciting and meaningful. Like any group of people, we did sometimes clash or run into disagreements, but we overcame those together through candid and open communication. Our teamwork definitely grew much stronger because of these experiences as well.

SOOBIN: We’re constantly striving to make music that can deliver a universal message of hope and positivity to many people no matter what background they have, and we feel like we’ve matured both as artists and as a team throughout the album-making process. We’ll continue to work harder so we can show even more diverse performances and grow further.

Fans often feel an inherent connection with your music that resonates with people of all ages. Where do you draw inspiration from?

YEONJUN: TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s music is inspired by our own stories and experiences. We always hope that whoever listens to our music will be able to relate to the messages in our songs. We also gain much inspiration from other amazing artists, and from simply watching movies and TV shows as well. Our latest album, minisode1 : Blue Hour, captured the everyday experiences, struggles, and big questions that teenagers everywhere are facing in this COVID-hampered era in a way and style that is unique to us (TOMORROW X TOGETHER).

HUENINGKAI: I don’t think inspiration necessarily needs to come from somewhere fancy or exceptionally remarkable. We typically gain inspiration from our daily lives: watching movies or just walking around and taking in our surroundings. We’re constantly observing and taking in new things to convey these feelings and experiences through TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s music. I hope that when you listen to our music and hear our lyrics, you can relate them to your own experiences and stories.

Do you think you can deal better with your own personal experiences by translating them into music?

SOOBIN: It’s definitely much easier to create music when I have personal experiences to draw from.

YEONJUN: Yes, I do feel that the process of translating my experiences into music is one that requires a lot of introspection, and this process of reflecting and expressing my thoughts through music is one that I receive comfort and strength from.

BEOMGYU: I’m someone who very much enjoys sharing my own experiences through music. This is also something that helps me de-stress when I have a lot of thoughts running through my mind. “Maze in the Mirror,” a track on our The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY album, is a song that recalls when we were going through a difficult time back in our trainee days.

TAEHYUN: I definitely think the songwriting process goes much smoother when we’re writing about topics we’ve had first-hand experiences with just because there’s a wider spectrum of words or feelings that readily come to mind and we can incorporate into our music.

HUENINGKAI: Translating our experiences into music is something that helps us process and better express our thoughts. As BEOMGYU said, “Maze in the Mirror” is a song into which we poured our honest thoughts and raw emotions into, so I’m thankful that our MOA liked it. I think I really grew as a songwriter when I was working on this song, and so I was able to better convey the messages we wanted to deliver through it.

Your music videos often incorporate a dreamy, fantastical fairy tale vibe. How do you come up with such concepts?

BEOMGYU: We gain inspiration from our everyday lives and we try to convey this through both our music as well as our music videos. In the case of "We Lost The Summer," we think the music video illustrated a storyline that everyone living through this COVID-19 era could wholeheartedly relate to. It starts off with the five of us having a good time, laughing together when suddenly we receive an emergency alert notification that separates us to our individual homes. We all learn to deal with our new reality of only being able to interact with each other in the online space via the screens of our electronic devices. Our members are very proud of the final outcome, and we’re very thankful to the director and all our staff members for working so hard on it. We’re also really thankful to our fans, MOA, for showing the song so much love.

2020 was an incredible year for TXT and you celebrated your first year anniversary on March 4, 2020. With your second debut anniversary approaching, what are some resolutions you have for this year?

SOOBIN: Performing in an empty venue without our fans doesn’t feel quite as fulfilling as it does when we perform for our fans in person. I can’t wait to go on stage once again in front of our MOAs and hear their cheers with my own ears. A personal resolution of mine for the year is to make it a habit to practice the piano until I can get really good at it.

YEONJUN: I sincerely hope that this situation gets better soon. Once it does, I’d like to have TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s first solo concert. Another hope of mine is to create and release a rap song. It’ll be a new challenge but I’m ready for it!

BEOMGYU: My resolution for 2021 as an artist is to meet our MOA more often. Like everyone else, I’m also hoping for the pandemic to quickly pass so everything can return to normal and we can once again spend time with the people we love. Personally, I’d like to go on a trip with our members as well.

TAEHYUN: I want to continue to work very hard on my music so that I can hopefully release a mixtape soon. My personal resolution is learning how to cook!

HUENINGKAI: Being healthy and safe is my number one priority for the year. I’d also like to perform for our fans at our own offline concert as soon as the situation permits!

Your music helped millions across the world deal with the personal pressures of a pandemic. How did you, personally, manage to make it through the past year under the same harrowing circumstances?

SOOBIN: We know that this is a difficult and dark time for many people around the world. We’re so glad that TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s music could be a source of comfort during this time, and we take much comfort in knowing that as well. We’re always thinking of MOA, and we’re actively working and practising hard during this time so we can show our fans even better performances once we can all meet in person.

BEOMGYU: Just because we have to stay physically apart doesn’t mean we’re far away from each other. We want to stay connected with our fans, MOA, and we’ve done so and are still doing so by keeping in touch with them through Weverse and Twitter. That’s how we’ve overcome the harrowing circumstances.

Have you developed any new hobbies during your time at home this past year?

SOOBIN: I’ve been playing computer games at home lately. It helps me de-stress and feel a moment of normalcy during these unprecedented times. A new hobby I’ve developed is playing piano! It’s something I’ve been really interested in lately, so I’ve been practising it a lot.

YEONJUN: It’s not necessarily a new hobby, but I’ve always enjoyed watching movies and TV shows, so I’ve been spending my time at home catching up on new releases and rewatching some of my all-time favorites.

BEOMGYU: It’s still quite unsafe to go outside and meet up with friends these days, right? So I’ve been keeping in touch with my close friends over the phone. It’s a relaxing and uplifting way to end my day!

TAEHYUN: I’ve once again come to realize the importance of staying healthy. To take care of my health and also to show better performances on stage, I’ve been spending a lot of my time doing home workouts.

HUENINGKAI: I really enjoy spending time at home talking with our members. Because we’ve spent so much time together over the past few years, we understand each other better than anyone else. I think that’s why I really feel at peace when I’m with them. We support each other and give each other advice when one of us is feeling down or held in a tough spot.

TXT is one of the most popular and successful 4th generation K-Pop groups in Japan, topping charts and breaking records consistently with every Japanese release. Your highly anticipated Japanese album ‘STILL DREAMING’ is finally going to be released on January 20. What are your hopes and expectations for this album?

TAEHYUN: Our first Japanese studio album STILL DREAMING delivers the message that, like our name, we gathered under one dream to build a new tomorrow. I hope that many will be able to listen to this album and relate to the messages as well as find comfort.

Finally, India has millions of MOAs who would love nothing more than to see you live one day. Do you have any plans of coming to India for a concert when the pandemic is finally over? Is there anything you would like to say to your fans in the meantime?

and speaking of solo work, all of the bts rapline have amazing solo mixtapes. i love their group music that’s hype w heavy concepts/production/choreo (ot7 always), but the mixtapes hold a special place in my heart because they feel so ...intimate, almost? like a piece of their hearts that they’re sharing with the world. rm’s mono is the definition of comfort. j-hope’s hope world is lots of fun, but he just released the extended version of blue side, and it’s absolutely heartbreaking (and reminds me a lot of touya lol). and agust d... listen, i love him more than words can say, so his mixtapes d-2 and self-titled, along w the other song’s he’s solo produced like eight by iu, are very special to me.

i’m not majorly into skz/ateez/mamamoo like i am w the other groups, but they’re all amazing performers so i recommend checking out their comeback + awards show stages!!

i also really love eAeon, he’s a korean indie artist, and his music is breathtaking. he just dropped an album called fragile that’s i adore, the lead single don’t features rm of bts and is unbelievably beautiful.

okay that’s all good and fun but the majority of what i listen to is emo shit lmfaoo i’m definitely more into alt + punk music, here are some of my fave bands and fave songs from them!!

blood command: they are unreal i love them SO MUCH!! they’re a norwegian punk rock band w a female singer, return of the arsonist ep is when i got into them and it’s golden. no thank you i’m more into fake grindcore, saturday city, white skin/tanned teeth, and alarm all assassins are some of their best songs imo

dance gavin dance: listen... their music scratches a certain itch in my brain that makes me go insane akdjfjsk they’ve had a bunch of different lineups but the more recent albums with tillian and jon on vocals are my favorites (jonny craig can suck my dick, fuck that dude). lost, son of robot, bloodsucker, young robot, inspire the liars, jesus h. macy are all great. acceptance speech, man of the year, and evaporate make me cry/lose my mind

mannequin pussy: *chefs kiss* drunk ii is a masterpiece, i cried to that shit every day after a break up, so cathartic. cream and kiss are more upbeat, and their latest song perfect is also vv good!!! patience is a beautiful, emotional album, whereas romantic and self titled have more classic alt bops

G.L.O.S.S.: listen, theyre so fucking cool, and i respect the hell out of them. they only released a few songs before disbanding but i’ll cherish those songs until i die. they perfectly embody what punk should be. demo 2015 is on streaming services, and their second and final ep trans day of revenge can easily be found online!!

To the One Direction Fandom,

Okay, so here’s the thing. This fandom has been here for almost a whole decade, which is a long ass time LMFAOO. But most of the time, our fandom has been divided. Why? Well here’s the thing... a lot of the fandom ship Harry and Louis together (a lot but not all). While some people think that Harry and Louis at some point were or still are in a relationship or were in love — others think they weren’t. That they were just super close friends.

I am not going to lie, I kinda am a Larry (still questioning it but that’s not the point!), but hear me out. I am not writing this post to persuade others to think Larry is real. Because I am not going to do that. I am writing this to let people know that this division in our fandom needs to come to a stop. I am the kind of Larry shipper who doesn’t push Louis and Harry’s life’s together and bashes anyone who has been or is Harry’s or Louis’ significant other. I can never come to that. Why? Because I stan Harry’s saying of TPWK. Wether Larry was real or not I do not want to ever spread hate on someone Harry or Louis have been/are in love with.

I ship Larry, yea. But I also ship Harry/Louis with HAPPINESS. I don’t care who it is, I want to see those two boys happy. If it is both of them together or with someone else, I want them to be happy. If Louis loves Eleanor (who I am 100% sure is a super nice person) then please respect that. Don’t hate on her, she’s a human being guys. She doesn’t deserve the hate she gets on a daily because she’s dating 1/2 of the Larry ship. Yes, we can in throw in jokes here and there as long as they are NOT offensive and rude towards her or the rest of the girls Harry/Louis have been associated with. Imagine if you were one of them? Would you like the hate they get? Please stop and ask yourself ‘Would I like if someone said that to me?’

But also, towards the people who don’t ship Larry. Please, don’t be rude towards the people who ship Larry, guys. Respect their opinion/beliefs. Don’t call them “delusional” or anything else, bc that was can be offensive. Hell, I find that rude when I see people tell that to Larry’s who feel strong about their ship. There’s other ways to disagree with someone like: “I respected your opinion, but...” or “I see where you’re coming from or why you believe that, but...” Yea, some of Larry’s can and will be super pushy but not ALL Larry’s are like that. Just remember we are all still human beings and we all have feelings. Treat people with kindness, even when you don’t agree with them.

Another subject I want to touch... I know this is long sorry :( but please stop sexualizing the boys. Yes, I mean ALL of them. They are not objects, they are human beings. Girls... you don’t like it when guys sexualize you... what makes you think boys don’t like it either? Yes, we all know the boys are attractive, but please don’t be disrespectful either. They are adorable human beings who also would want people to see them for their music and accomplishments rather than their looks.

Can I also talk about the hate our adorable boy Liam Payne gets? It’s getting out of hand. I understand what he did was wrong, I understand where some of you guys are coming from and why you are angry. But he has feelings. He is a human being. He has been struggling with mental health issues, guys. He doesn’t look as healthy as he used to be. Stop and think before you say something remotely rude towards someone. I hate seeing Liam getting hated on, on a daily even when he’s not doing anything wrong. Liam Payne, is an adorable human being who is 1/5 of One Direction. He is Daddy Direction, the boy who has a phobia of spoon, has been bullied before, only has one kidney, was born dead and cried when watching 1D’s old video diaries. Liam Payne, is an handsome and cute human being who deserves all of the love and appreciation in the world. Please stop attacking him for everything he does, he’s a person who needs love and appreciation, like the rest of the boys.

Does San Francisco have a special meaning to you? (My fav song off of his album 😫❤️! ‘There’s sum about that song that makes me wanna get up and BUST A MOVE!’)

Louis, with everything that happened in your life... how do you do it? How do you manage to stay happy, love? (He is such a strong person omg 🥺, anyways that question is too personal my anxiety could never ask such a personal question) Have you ever thought about doing a collab with someone? If so, who? Why?

Harry, how do you manage to stay away from social media? What distracts you from staying away? I want to be able to do that, but it’s like I’m sucked in and can’t let go. Also, I know you said that the perfect time to listen to ‘Golden,’ would be driving around Malibu at sunset, but what about Canyon Moon? What type of vibe does that song give you?

Liam, did you plan to have a dance routine for Strip That Down? How long did it take you to learn the dance routine? Also, how did you find yourself? How did you know what type of style your music was going to be?

Zayn, in your album Mind of Mine, why did you add the unique song, ‘INTERMISSION: fLoWer’ to your album? How did you come up with the idea of this unique and different piece?

FINAL STATEMENT, if you are a stan of one of the boys individually, PLEASE I beg you, DO NOT HATE ON THE BOYS. It hurts me to see individual stans hate on the other boys. All of them at some point were best friends and super close, they spent YEARS traveling with each other. They were all in a band together at some point. They were together for five years (Zayn four... I still cry) they were there for each other — lowest and highest moments.

July 24 Dancitron Movie Night - Titanic

Basically everyone hated the main characters. Most of the room was disappointed in how many of them survived. Swoop seems to have never figured out that they weren’t, in fact, watching Twister.

Prowl went to a dark place after the movie. It probably doesn’t help that, after the movie, he asked to see the entire real-time two hour and forty minute CGI reconstruction of the Titanic sinking. And then sat there and watched the entire thing.
