YES!!

In fact, this AU came into being when I just started watching Invader Zim. I thought that Dib would become something like his father's successor, but in a slightly different specialty. But then I understood the concept of the show and my dreams of Reagan! Dib and his alien husband were shattered. But no one and nothing is stopping me from doing this garbage, right?

It was meant to be some kind of post-canon. Dib graduated from high school, received the necessary specialties, and Professor Membrane still attached him to a job that suits him best. But even in the Deep Government no one respects Dib, even the people who work side by side with Yeti and Mothman think he's crazy. That's why I love Dib and Reagan so much - people have disappointed them, but they find the strength in themselves to make this world a better place, they are crazy geniuses and they need love.

Well, Zim, as always, is a genius in his impeccable disguise, colleagues think that he is in disguise and he is without disguise - two different personalities. Their colleagues think it's a love triangle, yes.

But now they are more aware, more open, more traumatized, older. Dib is even more tired of people, and the circles under his eyes no longer disappear; Zim is a defective retired old Irken, but he even helps him out sometimes! He serves as Dib's pillow while Dib sleeps at conferences.
