it is ridiculously heartwarming and sweet that we see Hunter and Omega, some 15-ish years later, having lived that time peacefully and safely on Pabu, and Omega is now an adult and has been an adult for probably close to a decade by now... and Hunter is still concerned for her safety and worrying about his little girl. ❤️❤️ no matter if it's 15 or 50 years, he will always be her worried caring dad😭

I finally watched the Aikatsu 10th story episodes and my heart is so empty after it. There's something so genuinely cathartic about it. I grew up watching this anime about a young girl's journey to become an idol, and now, we get the final movie of them all graduating and going on their professional journeys. We don't see a whole lot of what they do, but I love how melancholic it all is. We have Ran, who was a prodigious model during school, but graduated to start from the ground up as an actor instead. We have Aoi, who put idolhood on secondary to focus on getting a degree in education. We have Ichigo, who is hosting dome concerts one after another, a trend that started from the first Starmiya Ichigo movie that first stapled her firmly on the spot as top idol. We see everyone's grown up. We see Yurika, who used to drink tomato juice out of wine glasses for her vampire persona, drink actual wine and get drunk on her work troubles. We see Kaede, our wayward chaotic gremlin that parachutes into school grounds, become the responsible adult of the pack. While we used to see them brew teas and get snacks for each other in the dorm cafeteria, now they toast to midnight cocktails as they talk about their troubles. We see them worrying and being anxious about the new decisions they have to face, the difficult steps they have to take to move forward and make a breakthrough in their careers.

There's just something so raw and sincere about this ending, about the fact that they've inevitably grown up, and I've grown up, too.

kinda wishin that they went more in depth about marinettes trauma beside using it as a plot device to excuse he stalking adrien. like the chat blanc ep? do they think after seeing someone she thinks of a friend destroy the world & sitting in the remains of it as it slowly floods as a non traumatic event? then they had her not tell him about it 🤦 Adriens truama is slightly touched apon, but we barely get anything out of it due to the lack of chat noir/adrien centric episodes

also the issue w marinette being able to do no wrong and never being held accountable (inshow) for being creepy

(Regarding your post about Viv making a transmasc character cis) The thing about Viv making a character who was originally meant to be transmasc cis is that it shows her disregard for transmasculine people, all the while she is praised for her pretty minimal transfem representation. This is an issue because it gives a glimpse into how she thinks about trans issues: Trans women are just feminine men (Something she's been shown to enjoy time and time again), and Trans men are just "trenders and self-hating women" (which she's literally said before). This line of thought is perpetuated through things like this, even if it seems minor, because she knows if she was more loudly transphobic people would begin to question her. Hopefully this makes sense! Have a nice day :)

Again, I don't really see it as an issue because again, it's just concept art.. concepts change, just because someone makes a trans character cis doesn't mean they are "erasing" transmasc people. I mean, it would make sense if the character was actually shown to be trans inshow and then Viz decided to make them cis in the next episode (something she didn't do, she only did this to concept of the character NOT an actual canon person.)

I do have issues with her other transphobic things like calling people "trans trenders" and such, but simply making a (concept character) cis instead of trans does NOT make Viziepop a transphobe, what DOES make her a transphobe is those logs. /srs

My girlfriend, who is trans doesn't see the concept art as an issue and me, who is genderfluid (falling under the trans umbrella) also don't see this as a problem but I'll respect your opinion.
