Worlds Largest Raspberry! Not only is this one of the newest Big Things I've seen (erected July 2017), it is also one of the best!! (I seem to have an affinity with Food Big Things 😋). Spoonbridge & Cherry!!!! 🥄🍒 This fantastic Big Thing by my favorite artists #claesoldenburg & #coosjevanbruggen has been on the top of my Big Things bucket list for many years and it did not disappoint!! We'd planned to come here back in 2016 but the trip was thwarted by the sculpture garden being shut down for redevelopment. It seems it was worth the wait... the grounds are lovely and any place with multiple big things in a single line of view (see the giant blue 🐓 in the background) gets a huge ✔ of approval from this gal! After leaving Jerusalem Ridge, we stopped by the Rosine Cemetery to pay respects at the final resting place of Bill Monroe and many other talented musicians. It was really neat all the fiddles carved into the stones. I also came across a lot of homemade markers as well that reminded me of my own ancestors.
